Within the Geass Headquarters, VV was walking feeling good about himself and was accompanied by several cloaked members. As he walked he suddenly stopped as he saw someone and it was not his younger twin brother Charles who he wanted to see but instead it was Jarvis Trenton, the Knight of Two.
"Jarvis, what are you doing here?" VV asked, "Well whatever it is, I'll hear you later. Right now, I'm waiting for Charles."
"He's not coming," Jarvis informed.
"Huh, what are you talking about?" VV asked.
"His Majesty is not coming," Jarvis said, "He had something come up regarding the situation and so he sent me to give you his regards."
VV was instantly annoyed and glared at Jarvis.
"There's no way Charles would let anything that comes up stop him from coming to see me," VV said.
"Hey I don't know," Jarvis said with a shrug, "that's what he told me and I'm not one to question him."
"Well that's good," VV said, "it's too bad you don't give me the same respect and I'm the one who helped you get you to where you are right now and you can't be grateful for it. Anyway if that is all, then I'm leaving. I'm going to see Charles in Pendragon."
"Do you realize the idiocy you committed?" Jarvis asked suddenly.
"Huh, what are you talking about?" VV asked.
"I'm talking about how you deployed Pluton to sick on the people in the Special Zone, hell to everyone in the country basically and with the fact that you ordered for the deaths of not only Princess Euphemia but also Princess Cornelia and Princess Marrybell."
"And what's the problem?" VV responded, "I'm just doing what needs to be done."
"And that includes having three of your brother's daughters, your nieces killed?" Jarvis asked.
"Do you really think that Charles actually cares?" VV asked, "The Special Zone that Euphemia was creating was blatant disrespect and slap in the face of what Britannia stands for."
"Is that what you really feel?" Jarvis replied, "Because it seems to me that did what you did because they genuinely care for Prince Lelouch and Princess Nunnally who are the children birthed by Lady Marianne, someone that you actually despise."
VV just glared at Jarvis.
"I don't know what you're talking about or what you're actually implying and besides, none of that matters now," VV said.
"It's amazing that you stand here and just lie like this," Jarvis said, "just like how you lied and manipulated Kururugi to take action which he has now found himself to be in serious trouble for breaking military protocol."
"I have no idea what you mean," VV said with a shrug.
"Fine, continue on lying," Jarvis said, "but I'm going to tell you something that you need to know. Emperor Charles is furious right now and he is furious with you because of your actions as of late."
"Now I know that is a lie," VV responded and sighed, "I suppose you're going to tell me that you told Charles."
"I didn't need to, he was already aware," Jarvis replied.
"You're lying," VV said with a smirk, "you're just trying to scare me and it won't work. If it was really true, Charles would have talked to me about it already. The fact that he hasn't means you're just full of it. It's pathetic that you're just making up lies Maybe you should worry about yourself instead of trying throw me off guard. The fact that you're even trying is pathetic."
Jarvis sighed, "Whatever… anyway, there's one other reason I came here. His Majesty wants to send someone to Japan to get close to Zero and Void."
"I see," VV said, "get them close and destroy their little paradise from within and kill those two. It'll be easy to take back Japan with them eliminated."
"…Pretty much," Jarvis said.
"I have just the right agent to take the task," VV said.
VV and Jarvis walked together and they soon entered a lab. There they met up with someone and it was a teenage boy who was a Geass Agent and Geass user and it was Rolo Haliburton.
"Rolo," VV said.
"Yes Director VV," Rolo greeted and then he saw Jarvis, "Hello Sir Trenton, it's been a while."
"Yes, it's has been a while Rolo," Jarvis said.
"Rolo, we have a mission for you," VV said with a smile, "we're going to send you to Area 11."
"It's Japan now VV," Jarvis corrected.
"It doesn't matter," VV said, "it's going to be a Britannian territory again."
"What is my mission there Director?" Rolo asked.
"Your task is to get close to Zero and Void," VV said still smiling, "also known as Lelouch and Nunnally Lamperouge."
Japan
In the former Viceroy Palace in Tokyo, Lelouch entered a room holding his mask as he closed the door behind him and was talking to someone on his phone.
"I see, so that is what is going on," Lelouch said on the phone.
The person on the other line spoke and Lelouch nodded.
"Very good," Lelouch said, "yes, keep me updated on the situation. We can't exactly take it easy. We succeeded in our goal to free Japan however we all know that they are not going to just let this stand. They will come back with the intent to conquered Japan again. We need to be ready by the time it happens. Of course thanks to the rebellions happening in other places, it's going to take time for them for them to even try and that gives us the time to set things up to counter against them when they try."
The person on the other line spoke again and Lelouch nodded as he was satisfied.
"Yes, I am pleased," Lelouch said, "thank you for your help. Yes, my sisters and I will speak with you again so be careful."
As Lelouch hung up his phone, the door opened and someone entered and closed the door. Lelouch turned around and saw that it was Kallen.
"Kallen," Lelouch said.
Lelouch noticed Kallen's expression as she had her head down and he was a bit concerned.
"Kallen, is something wrong?" Lelouch asked.
Kallen suddenly went to Lelouch and hugged him which surprised Lelouch as he slowly looked at Kallen.
"Kallen?" Lelouch asked.
Kallen held on to Lelouch tight burying her face in Lelouch's chest.
"Kallen, what's wrong?" Lelouch asked, "Are you okay?"
"Thank goodness," Kallen said softly.
"Huh?" Lelouch replied.
"Thank goodness, you're here," Kallen said, "thank goodness, you're okay."
Lelouch looked at Kallen and had a soft expression.
"It's seems that I really made you worry," Lelouch said, "and… Kallen, I hope you don't mind me asking."
"What is it?" Kallen asked.
"You're angry, aren't you?" Lelouch asked.
Kallen slowly moved her head away from Lelouch's chest and faced him.
"Yeah, I am angry," Kallen said, "I'm amazed you can tell."
"I've known you for a long time," Lelouch said, "I should be able to know that much."
"I see," Kallen said as she let go of Lelouch, "I am glad that you're okay and you're here with us but at the same time, yeah I am angry. Do you know why?"
"My decision to face Bismarck alone and taking the risk of most likely being captured," Lelouch said.
"It was hard for me," Kallen said, "for you to risk yourself like that while I was just left behind. Even though you ordered me to do so, I don't like that I left you alone for you to take on Bismarck. It was too much."
"Kallen, I'm sorry," Lelouch replied, "I know that it was not what you wanted, but that how far that I'm willing to go. I dedicated myself for the success of having Japan liberated and securing the victory for the Black Knights."
"But it's like myself and the others have said," Kallen said, "we understand how you feel and know how dedicated you are. Hell, your bravery and leadership is why we're willing to follow you but at the same time, it would not be the same. If you were gone, if you were to be captured and even worse, you were…" Kallen stopped herself and shook her head as she was shaking in sadness, "No, I can't… I don't even want to imagine it."
"I apologize Kallen," Lelouch said with sympathy, "Although I don't regret what I did, I know that it was hard and a nightmare for you and I understand that I was being reckless but I wanted to make sure that the success of the operation of freeing Japan from Britannia's grasp. The way I saw it, if someone had to be sacrificed for the sake of succeeding in Japan being liberated, it should be the one who started this and led others to this path and that would be me."
"Even so Lelouch, what you did, what you were doing was not fair," Kallen replied, "leaving the rest of us behind… leaving Nunnally and Euphie behind… and even me behind…"
Lelouch went and hugged Kallen who was surprised at the gesture but didn't fight him.
"Again I'm sorry Kallen," Lelouch said, "I can imagine how worried you and the others were even though I myself was prepared to pay the price even with death."
Kallen in responded hugged Lelouch back and buried her face in his chest again.
"Please Lelouch," Kallen said, "I am your captain of your guard and therefore I am tasked to protect you. Please let me do what you picked me to do. Can you promise me that?"
"…Yeah, I promise," Lelouch said, "again for the third time that I say it that I am sorry Kallen but thank you as well."
"I'm not sure what you're thanking me for but I should be the one to thank you," Kallen said happily, "so I'll say it again. Lelouch, Zero, thank you for coming back to us."
Outside of the room, Nunnally was listening and liked what she was hearing between Kallen and Lelouch as she smiled.
"I'll talk to my brother later," Nunnally said as she was pleased, "I'm rooting for you Kallen."
Nunnally turned around and walked away. Meanwhile Todoh and the Four Holy Swords were in another room and they were meeting with Katase and the remaining members of the Japan Liberation Front. Todoh, Chiba, Asahina, Senba, and Urabe bowed to Katase and faced the old general.
"Thank you for meeting with us," Katase said.
"No, it is us who should thank you sir," Todoh replied.
"I agree," Senba said, "thank you for meeting with us General."
"Now then…" Katase said with a smile.
One of the JLF members brought out a bottle of sake which led the others to smile. Later on, the remaining members of the Japan Liberation Front including Todoh and the Four Holy Swords were sitting and having drinks of sake in their small cups.
"Todoh, Senba, Urabe, Chiba, and Asahina," Katase said, "I really want to thank you for what you have done. You have secured victory and liberated Japan. I want to thank you five for your part."
"There is no need to thank us," Todoh said, "We did what we all set out to do."
"Even so, you succeeded by cooperating with Zero," Katase said, "I was right to ask Zero to have you five join him. You have done more and succeed in the end than what we have been doing for the past seven years."
"General Katase," Todoh said as he looked at his former commander with concern.
"No need to look at me like that Todoh," Katase assured, "I knew it was how it was and I had faith in you. Zero agreed with me and it was part of why he agreed with my request. I'm pleased with what has happened and so we can hold up our heads high. I am grateful to you Todoh, you, the Holy Swords, and the Black Knights. Thank you."
Todoh in response faced Katase and bowed to him.
"It is I who is thankful to you General," Todoh said.
"You and the others came to our aid when we needed help," Senba said.
"That is true," Urabe said, "we want to thank you General, you and the others."
"Thank you all," Asahina said.
"You all assisted us as well during the battle," Chiba added.
"It certainly helped us," Senba said.
The other members of the Japan Liberation Front were grateful and felt happy hearing their words.
"By the way General Katase, if you don't mind me asking," Asahina said.
"Yes what is it Asahina?" Katase responded.
"What do you intend to do afterwards?" Asahina asked, "With what has happened now, you don't need to worry about any threats coming to you."
"That is true," Katase said, "well obviously the Japan Liberation Front is disbanded since the goal of it had been fulfilled. Of course me personally, I plan on just retiring. It's high time I took myself out of the battle for the rest of my life. Of course now that Japan is independent once more, I want to do my part to help. There is a lot that must be done after all. The country needs to rebuild."
"Indeed," Todoh said, "not to mention that the tasks as Black Knights are nowhere near over."
"Yes I heard," Katase said, "you will continue by helping other countries still occupied by Britannia."
"Exactly," Todoh said, "we have a lot of work to do."
"Indeed we do," Senba said with a nod.
"Well until then, let us continue to drink and savor this moment of relaxation," Katase said.
"I shall drink to that," Todoh said happily.
"Of course," Chiba said happily.
The remaining members of the Japan Liberation Front enjoyed the celebration by having sake and having time to unwind.
Kamine Island
The ASEEC were picking up the damaged Lancelot and taking it to the Avalon. Meanwhile the damaged Lionel was being picked up by combined members of Peace Mark and the Black Knights. Rakshata along with Jinta was facing Lloyd and Cecile.
"It's been a long time since we faced each other like this," Rakshata said.
"Indeed it has," Lloyd replied, "it was quite surprising that you would work for the empire's enemies."
"It is good to see you again Rakshata," Cecile said, "I'm glad to see you well."
"Likewise although," Rakshata replied and she looked at Lloyd, "I can't say I feel the same way about Earl of Pudding."
Lloyd sighed, "Still calling me that… well no matter," Lloyd smiled, "I'm glad we can meet like this. I have something I want to talk to you about."
Rakshata narrowed her eyes, "It has to do with Zero and Void," Rakshata then smirked, "what, are you bitter on the fact that we beat you? Is that it? Are you looking to turn things around?"
"Don't misunderstand," Lloyd said with a smile, "I do have some theories regarding the masked leaders you chose to follow but you're not obligated to actually respond to anything I say."
"What are you…?" Rakshata spoke.
Lloyd looked over to the Lionel.
"The Lionel, the personal Knightmare Frame of Zero," Lloyd said, "You know I remember something you said years ago. There was a young prince who was training in Knightmare combat back in Pendragon, training under his mother who was known as The Flash. In fact, that young prince decided a name for his own Knightmare Frame," Lloyd looked at Rakshata with a grin, "I'm sure you remember what was the name that young prince decided on."
"How about you stop beating around the bush and just say it," Rakshata said.
Lloyd sighed, "You're no fun," Lloyd smiled again, "Oh well, what I am saying is this. Lelouch vi Britannia, the former 11th Prince of Britannia that was thought to have perished at the beginning of war between Japan and Britannia seven years ago along with his sister Nunnally vi Britannia, the 6th Princess of Britannia was the one training and decided that should he get his own Knightmare, he would name it Lionel and so now what do we know… the Lionel is the personal Knightmare of Zero, one of the leaders of the Black Knights so it is one of two things. The first is that Zero had some or does still have connections to the former prince that has thought to have perished seven years ago and the other…" Lloyd was in glee, "that Zero is actually the young prince who didn't perish and have been planning to have revenge for the empire that left him and his sister to die."
Rakshata and Jinta just glared at Lloyd in response.
"It also means Void is the young princess as well and it would actually clear up on some things," Lloyd continued, "one of them being why Lady Enneagram was adamant of getting Zero and Void as she said to come back. It also makes the case of what was mentioned by General Darlton and that is the fact that Zero and Void fighting against every that Britannia stands for. The former 11th Princes made it known that he had displeasure for how things were when he had an audience with the emperor after with what happened with his mother's death so all of this could be revenge. So what do you say Rakshata, am I accurate in the things that I have said?"
"Hmph, if that is what you want to believe," Rakshata said.
"Hmm, so you don't deny it nor do you confirm it," Lloyd said.
A Britannian soldier rushed over and spoke to Cecile who looked at the soldier and nodded and then went to Lloyd.
"Lloyd, the Lancelot has been placed in the hanger of the Avalon," Cecile said.
"Wonderful," Lloyd replied happily, "I can't wait to fix my baby," Lloyd then turned to Rakshata, "well Rakshata, it seems that we have to go."
"Earl of Pudding, let's say hypothetically that what you said is accurate, what do you intend to do then?" Rakshata asked.
Lloyd looked at Rakshata and just smiled.
"Hmm, who knows," Lloyd said, "even with everything I just said, it is not as though I have solid proof. I am just going by circumstances and observation and you haven't confirmed it yourself so I can't even be sure if you actually know. I'm sure Prince Schneizel would be annoyed if I told him this and I didn't have solid proof of this especially since he gave up hope for the survival of his two siblings seven years ago."
"Is that so?" Rakshata replied.
"Things didn't go as Prince Schneizel had planned," Lloyd said, "and now we have to leave but I'm sure you all know that Britannia will try again and hopefully my Lancelot will take on your Lionel again and it will be then that my Lancelot wins over your Lionel."
"That will never happen," Rakshata replied and then she smirked, "no matter how hard you try and what improvements you make, my Lionel will always beat your Lancelot that is because one of our dear leaders is the one of the best pilots."
"One of your dear leaders," Lloyd said, "You speak such highly of them."
"Do you find that strange?" Rakshata asked, "I don't see people like tools like you do. Honestly, I almost feel sorry for Kururugi for working under you."
Lloyd frowned as he thought about Suzaku when he disobeyed orders and punched him and was ordered by Schneizel to find someone replace Suzaku as the Lancelot's pilot.
"Hmm, well you're not wrong," Lloyd said.
"Hmm?" Rakshata replied.
Lloyd and Cecile left and headed to the Avalon and the flagship ascended and took flight and left while Rakshata and Jinta looked on.
"So what do you think based on what Lloyd Asplund has said?" Jinta asked.
Rakshata calmly took a smoke from her pipe.
"I think it's time for us to head back," Rakshata said, "We have the Lionel back so we should head back to Tokyo."
Rakshata turned and started to walk and Jinta just stared at Rakshata.
"I'll simply inform them what has occurred here," Rakshata commented, "although to be honest, I don't think we have to worry about Lloyd and Cecile in terms of what was discussed."
"Are you sure?" Jinta asked as he walked and followed Rakshata.
"Yes, I am certain of it," Rakshata said.
Not long, the light blue flagship was taking off leaving Kamine Island and heading back to the Japan's mainland."
Tokyo
In a prison cell within the old Viceroy Palace, Villetta was sitting on the floor and was feeling bitter. Her hope to aid in capturing Zero and/or Void went up in smoke and she was also upset at the fact that Jeremiah had joined the Black Knights.
Flashback
Villetta was back in the gym of Ashford Academy and saw the soldiers that had come and surrounded Jeremiah and Sayoko. She kneeled down and noticed that they were just on the floor and was groaning in pain.
"They must have knocked them down," Villetta said, "it seems that they are more resilient than I thought."
"We are and you should know by now that you should not underestimate us," Alice's voice said.
Villetta was shocked and looked around but she suddenly saw a blur that she could not follow and she suddenly lost her gun as it was knocked out of her hand. Villetta didn't know what happened and she was suddenly kicked in her stomach and wind was knocked out of her. Villetta was shocked and didn't know what happened and wondered how it happened and was suddenly knocked out and fell on the floor.
Flashback End
Villetta was bitter at the memory. She remember when she regained consciousness that she found herself tied up and after it was announced that Schneizel was admitted defeat to the Black Knights. She later found herself surrounded by Black Knights who had rifles pointed at her and taken to the cell within the old Viceroy Palace in she was in at the moment.
"The whole thing was a failure," Villetta said.
She suddenly heard footsteps and she wondered who it was. She got her answer and saw that it was Jeremiah as she stood up.
"Jeremiah," Villetta said.
"Hello Villetta," Jeremiah said, "you seem to be doing well."
"Why are you here?" Villetta asked glaring at Jeremiah, "Did you come here to gloat?"
"Do you really think that I would do such a thing?" Jeremiah asked looking at bit offended.
"I don't know," Villetta replied, "I always assumed that you would never betray Britannia and actually join the man who ruined you but here you are so I can't be sure."
Jeremiah sighed and shook his head at Villetta's response.
"Whatever, anyway I want to know is are you aware of the situation of the agreement between Lord Zero, Lady Void, and Lady Euphemia had with Prince Schneizel?" Jeremiah asked.
"What agreement?" Villetta asked confused, "What are you talking about?"
Jeremiah explained of the agreement which would allow Britannians in Japan to leave in peace and for those who wished to stay could as long they followed the rules that were Japan and not the way things were under Britannian occupation.
"And that is the gist of it," Jeremiah said.
"I see," Villetta said, "I suppose it makes sense since this territory is no longer under Britannian rule."
"Of course it also means that you will be able to leave here as well," Jeremiah said, "in a few days, planes and large ships will arrive in every corner and people will be able to leave. You will be led out and allowed to leave. That is the agreement made by the leaders of the Black Knights and Lady Euphemia to Prince Schneizel."
"And what about you Jeremiah?" Villetta asked, "I assume that you intend to stay."
"Of course, I intend to fulfill my duty as a loyal servant to Lord Zero and Lady Void as well as Lady Euphemia," Jeremiah said.
"Look you might as well just go ahead and refer to them as their real names," Villetta said, "you know that I already know that it is Lelouch and Nunnally vi Britannia who were thought to have perished seven years ago."
"I bet it was Nonette who informed you of their identities or was it Jarvis Trenton," Jeremiah said.
"Come with me Jeremiah," Villetta suggested.
"Huh?" Jeremiah replied confused.
"There's no need to stay here," Villetta said, "we can return back to the Homeland and start over. It will be hard but I'm sure we can work things out."
"No, I have no need to go back home," Jeremiah said, "I know where my place is at the moment and it is here with the Black Knights."
"Don't you care what may happen to your family?" Villetta asked, "They may get backlash from your decision."
"It is regrettable but I am certain they will be fine," Jeremiah said, "if they denounce me and call me a traitor as well so be it. My family will do what it takes to protect themselves and already informed me what will happen if I disgraced them as they see it sort like what happened when I was accused with Orange."
"Jeremiah," Villetta said as she clenched her teeth in frustration, "I hope you don't regret this, I sincerely hope that you don't regret the decision you have made."
"No need to worry Villetta, I won't," Jeremiah replied.
Jeremiah left and Villetta just sat in the floor and looked down.
"So stubborn," Villetta said bitterly, "Jeremiah Gottwald, you are such a fool."
A Few Days Later
News coverage was taking place all over the world and it was coverage that was happening in Japan. Britannians who were leaving were making their ways to planes and large cruise ships that had arrived with the destination of taking the Britannians back to Britannian homeland. Many Britannians were talking to each other and in lines to head back. Some of the nobles cut through the lines to get through the transportations first. The Black Knights in Knightmare Frames along with Britannian forces commanded under Schneizel were overseeing the moves making sure there was no trouble as both sides were being extremely wary of each other. Euphie along with Six Clan Leaders of Kyoto were watching things in the light blue flagship that was hovering in the air as Schneizel and his staff was watching things in the Avalon that was hovering in the air. In the Tokyo Airport, there were a group people who had bitter looks on their faces and they were faculty members of Ashford Academy. They had all resigned from their position and were making their way to the planes to head home. Mrs. Crane looked to the side to see Rai leading a group of Black Knights making sure everything was going well and there was no incident.
"Winston," Mrs. Crane said in her head.
Mrs. Crane shook her head in disappointment and went on her way. Meanwhile at Port Yokosuka, a few large cruiser ships were ported and many Britannians were making their way on the ships. One of the being Helena and she had all of her luggage carried by servants and she was in a foul mood.
"That stupid man," Helena said angrily, "that stupid, stupid buffoon."
Flashback: Yesterday, Stadtfeld Manor
In the living room, Helena had her servants pack her things and admonishing them to be careful with all of her belongings. James suddenly came by and Helena looked seeing her husband.
"There you are James," Helena said, "where have you been?" Helena had an annoyed expression, "Actually I don't need to know. I can already deduce where you were," Helena shook her head, "Well no matter, I have almost all of my things packed."
"I see," James said with a nod, "that is fine."
"We'll have to get ready for tomorrow," Helena said, "We'll be taking a cruise ship back to the homeland. I suggest you and I discuss what the future for the Stadtfeld Family while we're on the cruise ship."
"There's no need for that," James replied.
"Hmm, no need?" Helena replied back confused, "James, what do you mean?"
"There's need to discuss anything," James said, "in fact, there's no we with you and me Helena."
Helena was shocked, "James, what are you talking about?"
"I will not continue with this farce any further," James said, "I'm going to do what I should have done years ago. Helena, you will be heading back to the homeland without me. I intend to stay here."
"Stay here?" Helena replied confused again, "What are you saying James? This land is no longer part of the empire."
"Indeed and I intend to stay here in what is now Japan… along with Sena," James said, "my true love and the mother of my children. With that, you and I are over and I don't care of the backlash that will cause me. If I get stripped of my rank and ousted as the head of the Stadtfeld Family so be it. Although to be honest, it was nothing more than an arraigned marriage forced upon the both of us by our families even before I became head of the Stadtfeld Family."
Helena was wide eyed and couldn't believe what she had heard.
"You're leaving me?" Helena responded, "You're leaving me for that woman, that miserable Refrain addict who was only good in selling her body."
"Helena!" James responded angrily, "I will not tolerate you insulting my beloved and besides, do not act like you actually cared for our marriage when everyone including my son and daughter saw how you really felt or did you think that I wouldn't know about the nights you spend with scandalous activities."
Helena was shocked and asked herself how he did he know of the nights in what she was doing and wondered if someone was reporting to him about her.
James sighed and continued, "Anyway, that is what I have decided. I don't care what you tell the rest of my family or how you spin it but I intend to stay here with Sena and my children. Have a safe journey back to the homeland."
James turned around and walked away and Helena was wide eyed and was shocked in what she heard.
Flashback End
Helena clenched her in anger.
"The absolute humiliation," Helena said angrily, "do not think that I am going to just let it go James. You will rue the day that you dare chose that Eleven bitch and those half-breeds over me."
Helena got on the cruise ship and thought of ways to get back at James as well as Sena, Naoto, and Kallen. Meanwhile in Kyushu, three GX 01 Knightmare Frames were floating in the air and watching people getting on the ships. The three GX Knightmares were piloted by Sancia, Lucretia, and Dalque who had become members of the Black Knights as they wore their uniforms.
"So far so good," Dalque said.
"Yes there's seems to be no trouble," Lucretia said, "Hopefully things end peacefully."
"It will," Sancia said, "let us do our duty well. This is our purpose now as members of the Black Knights."
Meanwhile Lelouch and Nunnally were in the Gawain watching things.
"Everything is going well so far," Nunnally said.
"Yes, there seems to be no problem," Lelouch said, "the situation is good and we have eyes all over in Japan. With the exception of some, most of the Britannians are leaving."
"I am going to miss some of them from school," Nunnally said.
"I understand what you mean Nunnally," Lelouch said.
"But at least Milly and Shirley will stay and I heard that Rivalz plans to stay as well," Nunnally said.
"Indeed," Lelouch said, "Rivalz…"
"What do you want to do?" Nunnally asked, "Do want to tell him?"
"I should but I don't know how he will respond," Lelouch said.
"I think it will be fine," Nunnally said.
"Are you sure?" Lelouch asked.
"Sure, Rivalz is very understanding and open," Nunnally said, "you should know Lelouch… he really is a close friend."
"Yes I guess you're right," Lelouch said with a smile.
Meanwhile in the Student Council Room of Ashford Academy, Milly, Rivalz, and Shirley were watching people getting on ships and planes leaving Japan and heading back to the Britannian homeland.
Avalon
In one of the rooms, Nina was watching people getting on ships and planes live from news coverage. Nina placed her hands together. Meanwhile in another room, Suzaku was watching the live coverage of people leaving Japan in ships and planes.
"It's actually happening," Suzaku said, "Japan has been liberated and Britannians are leaving. I will never agree with how you did it Lelouch and Nunnally… but I will no longer deny with what you really desired. What could have been if I joined them like they asked, like what Euphie asked."
Suzaku felt depressed and sat down on a chair and continued to watch things on the live coverage. Meanwhile in the bridge, one of the soldiers arrived and spoke to Schneizel. The second prince looked at the soldier and nodded. He then turned to Kanon and made a request on something and his loyal aided nodded with agreement. Later on, Schneizel was in a hall and he faced Gene and Martin who looked nervous at the second prince.
"So you two are the ones," Schneizel said with contempt, "the one who help cause the problem at the Special Zone."
"Your Highness," Gene said.
"I see," Schneizel said, "so you're Colonel Kinman's son."
"Your Highness," Gene said, "you see, my father…"
"I heard you were quite upset regarding what happened to your father," Schneizel said, "well I will say now is this," Schneizel gave Gene a cold glare, "I feel no sympathy with what happened to your father. The way I see it, my sister Cornelia was justified in ending his life. He had the audacity to kill three members of the imperial family. As far as I am concern, he committed treason and he will be remembered as such along with the other Pluton agents. You two will not be getting off easily since you helped destroyed the Special Zone that I helped get together."
"Wait Prince Schneizel, if I can explain my situation," Martin said.
"I have no need to hear whatever excuses you may have," Schneizel responded coldly, "I am done for now but I will deal with you two again on a later time but for now though," Schneizel turned to the soldiers, "take them away."
"Yes Your Highness," The soldiers complied.
"Wait Prince Schneizel," Gene said.
Schneizel turned around and ignored them as the two boys were being taken away.
Tokyo
In the garden of the old Viceroy Palace, CC and Jinta met up and were talking.
"Things have been successful," Jinta said, "we won and as a result, Japan is freed and Black Knights have earned a major victory."
"Yes but now the hard parts will follow," CC said, "I doubt Charles will stop targeting Lelouch and Nunnally and something will happen."
"CC, are you going to tell us what Charles and VV are really after?" Jinta asked.
"To be honest, I really don't think that I should," CC said, "but now, I have to have to make sure they are protected and will fall as a result of it."
"They?" Jinta asked.
"Yes, not Lelouch," CC said.
"I see," Jinta said and then smiled, "well let me help. I know I can help out."
"I will," CC said with a nod, "thank you."
"No, thank you," Jinta said, "I'm sure Lelouch is glad to know that you have his back."
CC smiled, "It's funny, I never would have imaged that I would go so far. I had given up and declared myself to be not human."
"I don't know why you insisted that," Jinta said, "you're always human."
CC sighed, "You would say that," CC smiled, "you can be such a child sometimes."
Jinta huffed in response, "Oh well excuse me for being younger than you my senior," Jinta smiled, "but still you should consider it a good thing."
"If you say so," CC said.
Jinta left and CC stood and looked up in the sky.
"Well now Charles, VV, what are you going to do now?" CC asked, "How are you going to respond?"
That's it for this chapter. Next chapter: Schneizel and Cornelia are called before the emperor while Japan slowly rebuilds.
