"I thought you failed the exam." Shinso questioned switching the song playing over Ayumu's speaker for what felt like the millionth time.

Ayumu folded another shirt and dropped it into her bag without looking at him, "I did."

He didn't look up at her as he clicked next again on Ayumu's phone, "Then why are you packing?"

"I told you," Ayumu sighed, "Mr. Aizawa is letting us go, we're just going to have extra lessons at camp. Plus, I'm not even packing for camp. I'm packing for I-Island. I'm going shopping with my classmates tomorrow for camp."

"So you'll be repacking for I-Island tomorrow." Shinso clicked next on the phone again before making a face, "You need to get a better playlist."

"Just put your own phone on." Ayumu folded another shirt and dropped it into her bag.

Shinso pulled Ayumu's phone from the aux cord and plugged in his own phone. He switched to a song he seemed to find more agreeable and moved to sit on the bed beside Ayumu's suitcase.

"How long did you say you were going again?" He questioned, taking note of how many shirts she had thrown into the suitcase.

Ayumu shrugged, dropping another shirt into the case, "A few days."

"You have at least a month's worth of clothes in here."

Ayumu looked into the case. She may have overpacked, but she had no intention of letting Shinso know that she agreed. Still, she pulled out the shirt she had just put into the case back out. "It's better to have more than you need than not enough, Hitoshi."

Shinso didn't argue. Instead he examined the contents of the bag. Surprised, he reached in and pulled out a short, light blue dress with silver floral detailing. He held it up for her to see with a questioning look.

"This is a little fancy for an island, don't you think?"

Ayumu took the dress from him and refolded it. "Kirishima said that I should bring something nice to wear. There's supposed to be some dinner one night or something. I don't really remember what he said."

Shinso watched as she put the dress back in the suitcase before dropping it in a bag of jewelry. "I thought you were going with that girl Mina."

"I am. Help me zip this."

Shinso pressed down on the overstuffed back while Ayumu struggled to zip it all the way around. Once it was finally closed, she picked it up and wheeled it over to the corner of her room.

"So, you're meeting him there?"

Ayumu shrugged, "Kind of." She paused and looked at him. "Don't tell my mom, okay? She's already nervous about me going with Mina and if she finds out Kirishima and Bakugo are going she might make me cancel."

He looked her over for a moment before frowning, "I'm not really sure you should go."

Ayumu crossed her arms, "Why not?"

Shinso sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, not sure quite how to explain. "I just have a bad feeling."

Ayumu rolled her eyes, "Nothing's going to happen. Plus, there will be a bunch of Pro-heroes on the island so if anything did happen, they could take care of it. Protean is even going. That's basically the only reason my mom is letting me go."

Shinso stood up, arms crossed, "I just don't know if it's a great idea."

They stood and watched each other for a moment. Finally, Ayumu dropped her arms and crossed the room to Shinso. She wrapped him in a tight hug, squishing his arms to his chest. She let him go after a moment and offered what she hoped was a reassuring smile. He looked unconvinced.

"Everything is going to be fine. And once I get back we'll have all summer to hang out… other than the summer camp, but every other day we can hang out together." She promised.

Shinso rolled his eyes and shook his head, "This isn't about spending time together. This is about your safety. I just feel like something bad is going to happen."

"If anything happens, I'll make sure to stay out of it. I'll run in the other direction. I promise." She offered her pinky.

Reluctantly, Shinso linked his pinky around hers, "You better."

A/N: Short chapter. Honestly, I've been having a little bit of writer's block with this story. I've also been working on some other things to try and get some motivation to write. Hopefully, the next chapter will be longer.
