Saphira and Gaston quickly made it back to the latter's hideout where he had numerus of books spread out all over the floor leaving Saphira to recognize a few of them.

The books in question had been used by Saphira long ago for research on the scepter that her father was going to use in order to control the water dragon as well as researching the trident and for a way to bring her mother back from the dead so their family could be whole again.

But Saphira had eventually abandoned her research once her father learned of her secrets and the mark of the krakens on her back, Gaston had wanted to force his own daughter to fool the royal family into letting her near the trident just so she could steal it even though Saphira had refused.

Gaston tried to get everyone in their hometown on his side just to do the ceremony in order to summon the kraken queen to their doorstep as Saphira would be taken to become the queen's servant, but no one trusted the madman since they believed that he'd lost his mind, and in a way, he had done just that.

The other reason that Saphira had abandoned her research was due to her learning that a steep price would have to be paid to bring her mother back to the world of the living as someone else's life would be taken since they'd need to switch places so one could live and the other would die.

Saphira tried to tell her father of the price, but Gaston didn't heed the warning since he only wanted his wife back in his arms, so Saphira ran away after trying to destroy everything she had uncovered although it seems that Gaston had managed to recover all of her books, notes and whatever else Saphira had.

Which is what led to the events of Gaston finding and locating his "runaway" daughter in Oceanside where he'd made his new lair where an isolation chamber was added in order to preserve the body of Saphira's mother until her soul was taken back from the land of the dead, and finally put back into her body.

"I wish you'd give up on this!" Saphira shouted as the water dragon roared, her father gave an obsessive laugh as his response. "I will have the trident and your mother will back with us!" Gaston laughed maniacally; his laughter scared his daughter as well as gave her the chills.

Saphira was worried about how obsessive her father was being with bringing back her mother from the dead as it would only end up destroying his life as well as take the lives of others from innocent krakens, mermaids and humans, and that scared her a lot, not to mention Brill was scared as he watched from the shadows.

"Dad! Please just stop this madness!" Saphira pleaded with him, Gaston sneered at his own daughter's shaking form. "You will get me what I want, so our family can finally be whole again!" Gaston roared in anger as the dragon did the same as it wanted revenge against those who had imprisoned it centuries ago.

Both Brill and Saphira heard music begin to play Gaston's favorite villain song which only Saphira knew since her father was exactly like the villain from her old favorite show as the villain had been obsessed with getting what he had wanted from the heroes of the show.

[Play Chaos Will Reign Today from Ladybug and Cat Noir: The movie]

[Gaston]

(Music)

I'm torn apart

Each time I see

You standing there

My beautiful Emilie

But now I know

What I must be

To bring you back to me

(Music)

[Hawk Moth speaking]

You didn't tell me the powers could do that.

[Saphira speaking]

Master, this is not right!

[Hawk Moth speaking]

If chaos makes those jewels appear, then chaos it will be.

[Saphira speaking]

That is not how these powers should be used!

[Hawk Moth speaking]

I believe that's my decision, insect.

Let me tell you what I'll do...

[Hawk Moth]

Those two jewels

Will soon be mine

And with them I'll

Bring her back to life

[Saphira speaking]

But it's impossible.

[Hawk Moth]

I will find and I will take

I will bend and I will break

Whatever must be broken 'til she's woken up

I'll take the worst

The bottom wrung

Who'll be the first,

Now that I've begun?

Give me your lost, give me your tired

Your outcast, your uninspired!

[Saphira speaking]

Master! This is not the way!

[Hawk Moth speaking]

Silence, chaos reigns today,

Sing!

[Choir]

(Hawk Moth, Hawk Moth)

(Hawk Moth, Hawk Moth)

(Hawk Moth, Hawk Moth)

(Hawk Moth, Hawk Moth)

[Hawk Moth]

So, watch, chaos will reign today!

(Music)

[Saphira speaking]

The ultimate power is not this!

The ultimate power is-

[Hawk Moth speaking]

Enough!

I know what must be done!

[Hawk Moth]

Your deepest dark

Your doubt, your pain

I'll take that spark

Fan it into flame

Every lost and lonely soul

Let Hawk Moth take control

I'll give purpose to your worthless lives

Not hesitate to throw you aside!

[Saphira speaking]

It doesn't work on me!

[Hawk Moth speaking]

Who cares?

You still work for me.

Sing!

[Choir]

(Hawk Moth, Hawk Moth)

(Hawk Moth, Hawk Moth)

(Hawk Moth, Hawk Moth)

(Hawk Moth, Hawk Moth)

[Hawk Moth]

So, watch, chaos will reign today!

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

As Gaston laughed evilly, he opened up the large cell that held the water dragon which nearly attacked him until he raised up the scepter and made the dragon freeze before it closed its mouth in anticipation of the orders it was about to receive from Gaston.

"Retrieve the trident from the kraken queen for me, and you may have your revenge!" Gaston ordered the dragon; it nodded its head in agreement before leaving the lair. "NO!" Saphira shouted as she was suddenly restrained by her father's bodyguards.

Saphira watched helplessly as the dragon and her father left the lair with his bodyguards. "This is all my fault! What do I do now?!" Saphira said with a sob, that's when she heard the sound of footsteps coming closer to her before she looked up to see Brill staring at her with neutral look on his face.

"Prince Brill! Please, I never meant for you to find out about this, I-I'm sorry!" Saphira cried out in sorrow, Brill knew that his friend was telling the truth, and that Saphira had tried to stop her madman of a father but had been unable to do so, which was why Brill was worried about Saphira's punishment.

"I understand why you didn't tell us about your father in order to protect us, but by not saying anything at all before, you will be punished by the queen." Brill responded sadly; the young human knew that she'd be punished for warning anyone about her father's plan, when she'd had the chance.

Saphira chose not to speak with her voice, but her eyes told Brill that would accept whatever the Queen chose to punish her with even if it meant that Saphira would have to forfeit her life in the name of justice for the sake of proving her loyalty to the krakens, then so it would be done.

"We need to get back to the others then head home in order to warn my mother that the water dragon has been freed." Brill said in a princely voice, everyone would willingly follow him into battle if he spoke like that more often, and his princely voice was going to be needed in this battle to save the krakens, mermaids and humans.

As Saphira and Brill were leaving Gaston's hidden lair, Chelsea had finally found Ruby still with the four human teenagers. "Ruby!" Chelsea called out urgently, Ruby and the others turned to see the young mermaid princess running towards them with fear in her eyes.

"Chelsea, what's wrong?" Ruby asked in concern for her best friend, the mermaid princess slid to a stop as she caught her breath. "We have a major problem!" Chelsea replied in fear, before anything else could be said by her, everyone felt the ground shake before seeing the ocean churning and turning black as night.

The krakens, mermaid princess and humans of Oceanside watched in terror and horror as the once thought mythical, feared water dragon rose out of the water with loudest roar anyone had ever heard as it made everyone cover their ears to try to ease the pain before it stopped roaring then returned to the ocean.

"I'm guessing that's the problem?!" Sam asked fearfully, Chelsea nodded back to the little prince. "Who released the water dragon!?" Agatha asked in anger, she quickly demanded that the humans tell her who had let loose the most dangerous monster that had brought the krakens and mermaids together at last.

"It was my father." Saphira answered her as she and Brill appeared, everyone gasped in shock at her confession. "Why did he do this and why didn't you warn us?!" Ruby asked as felt betrayed, Saphira sighed before she told the krakens and mermaid everything that had happened to her family due to the conflict between the krakens and mermaids.

"You will be punished for this betrayal!" Agatha hissed out, Saphira stayed silent again, but her eyes conveyed what she knew was true. "We need to warn the queen, and now!" Chelsea said as she glared at the young human servant that had ruined the peace for everyone here.

Saphira now had chains on her wrists as she was once again taken to the kingdom of the krakens, but this time it would most definitely be the last time she saw the world around her in a loving and safe light, for this time due to her father's actions, Saphira was sure to be executed by the queen after the battle was over with.

Unlike last time, Saphira did not put up a fight since she had long accepted her fate once it got out that her father would try to steal the trident as well as mess with the nature of the world by trying to bring back his dead wife while sacrificing his own child who would end up paying for all of his misdeeds.

But first, Saphira would prove her loyalty to the krakens by fighting for them even if it meant that she would die by her father's monster while having hope that if she was injured or did forfeit her own life, that Gaston would give up his obsession, and repent for his crimes against the krakens, mermaids and his fellow humans.

New chapter done! I don't own the song in this chapter or Hawk Moth, but I chose to use this particular song as it was fitting for the scene, also Emilie is the name of Saphira's mother.

The next chapter will be the last one, so I'll try to make it long for you guys, please review and no flames!
