Chapter 17: Making Up
Niko parked his bike in front of Bellic's Tavern, he got off the bike and lit a cigarette. He blew smoke, which happened to go into a pedestrian's face. The pedestrian coughed and looked at Niko. "Hey, buddy. Go smoke that thing somewhere else, will ya?" He told Niko. Niko in turn put the cigarette out in the man's eye, the man screamed in pain. "Fuck off!" Niko screamed. He walked in the tavern, where Carlito was serving drinks. "Hey, man. You alright?" He asked Niko. "Get the fuck out of here!" Niko shouted to Carlito. The man in turn, took his apron off and walked away. Niko poured himself a big glass of vodka and chugged it, the he poured another. Roman seen what Niko was doing and approached him. "Niko, man. What the fuck are you doing? You're drinking our supply." Roman asked Niko. "Kiki fucking cheated!" Niko replied. Roman looked down, then up at Niko. "Hey, man. I'm sorry. Take the rest of the day off." Roman told Niko. Niko poured another drink and drank it, he nodded and looked at Roman. "Good idea. See you tomorrow cousin." Niko replied. He turned around and walked out the door, Niko mounted his bike and drove off.
He pulled in front of his loft in Holland, he parked the bike behind his Infernus and dismounted. He got off the elevator into his penthouse, where he immediately walked over to the counter and grabbed the bottle of vodka. He started to feel drunk from the five glasses he pounded at the tavern, so he put the bottle down and lit a cigarette. The elevator rang and opened, Kiki got off the elevator. She looked like she had been crying, Niko was unmoved. "Hey, tramp." Niko told her. "Niko, I had a bad day. You had a bad day. Let's make up please?" Kiki asked Niko. "Why?" Niko asked in response. "I'm pregnant Niko, we are having a baby. We have a year of good times between us. I fucked up, I know. But I'm sorry, you know I am loyal to you." Kiki told Niko. "Sit down, we discuss this." Niko told Kiki. Kiki walked to the sectional and sat, she winced as her bottom touched the seat and she stood back up. "What's wrong?" Niko asked Kiki. "Nothing." Kiki replied shamefully. "Bullshit." Niko replied. He pulled up Kiki's skirt and pulled down her panties to reveal the welts on her butt. "You got to be fucking kidding me!" Niko shouted. "It's not what you think!" Kiki replied.
Niko walked to the closet, he grabbed Kiki's clothes and walked out to the deck. He threw her clothes out into the alleyway. Kiki stood there crying and begging. "Niko, please. I love you!" Kiki told Niko. "Fuck you." Niko replied as he grabbed a basket and filled it with her belongings. He walked back onto the deck and emptied the basket over the balcony into the alleyway. "Your shit is gone, get the fuck out of here." Niko told Kiki. Her heart dropped, she was helpless. "Niko, please." She said in a broken voice. Niko looked at her, he thought for a minute. He sat down and put his head in his hands. "Kiki, I'm sorry. What happened to your ass?" Niko asked her calmly. "My receptionist, Linda. The one blackmailing me….she raped me." Kiki replied. Niko looked up at her. "Where does she live?" Niko asked Kiki. "Niko, please don't do anything. She has me against a wall." Kiki replied. "Then we come out swinging." Niko replied. "She is in Broker, in the East side projects." Kiki replied. "I'll find her, you stay here." Niko replied. "I'll pick your stuff up off the ground when I get back." Niko told her. The two kissed, and Niko looked at her. "I'm sorry, Niko." Kiki told Niko. "Me too." Niko replied.
Niko pulled up in front of the projects, he walked in the door and up the stairs to Linda's apartment. He kicked the door open, inside Linda was naked watching a porno. She was startled to see Niko. "Who are you? What do you want?" She asked Niko. He pulled out a knife, and walked towards her. "You should have left Kiki Jenkins alone." Niko replied. He walked towards her menacingly. She got up to run, but Niko caught her. He dragged her to the couch and threw her on it, he picked up the same strap she used on Kiki. Niko beat her savagely with it, by the time he was done. Linda was red all over her body, she screamed and cried as the blows. Niko looked at her and put the knife to her throat. "Now, tomorrow. You're going to quit your job at Jenkins Law. Or I'll be seeing you again." Niko told her. Linda nodded obediently, Niko turned around to walk out. As he did, Linda pulled a pistol from under the couch cushion. Niko heard it cock and turned around, he threw the knife at Linda. The knife went through her head, killing her instantly. Niko turned around and left the apartment.
