2 Months Later…
Crackle. Crackle.
The lights in the room began to slowly flicker until one of the light bulbs exploded.
POP.
Santana slowly opens her eyes. Her vision becomes very blurry for a solid minute. She slowly lifts her hands to rub her eyes in hopes of regaining full clarity.
"Quinn?" Santana quietly says as her voice is dry and raspy. "Hey baby. You in the bathroom?" Silence. "Guess what? I got this sexy ass scar now."
Santana begins to laugh but gets overtaken by a long series of wheezing coughs.
Santana turns her head to the left and notices a vase full of dead roses.
Damn. Nobody, not even Quinn tried to water it. Santana disappointedly thought. She looks around and notices an empty room. She's alone.
Then Santana focuses on the silent clock.
What kind of hospital is this? Why isn't it ticking? That's when it hit Santana. How long was I out?
Santana looks around her bed for the call button to summon a nurse. She finds it and pushes the button, but nothing happens. So she takes off all the wires that were hooked up to the machine keeping her alive, along with the nasal cannula that provided oxygen to her.
"Here I go," Santana says as she uses all her strength to sit up. Then she decides to try and stand using the IV pole for much-needed support. The pole loses balance and the Latina falls down and ultimately regrets her decision.
"DAMN IT! NURSE! HELP!"
Santana sees that there's no hope and gets on her hands and pushes herself up, while she screams in agony. She grabs a hold of the table where the dead flowers were and notices a "get well" card.
"Dear mama. We miss you so much. Come home soon. I love you." - Lucas
Santana tearfully smiles at her son's letter and drawing of the three of them and then notices there's more writing.
"Dear gorgeous, I've been missing you like crazy. I miss your smile. I miss your kisses. And especially, I miss your laugh. You'd always make me feel so special and lucky. I hope you get well soon Tana. I love you forever." - Luce
Santana kisses the card and hides it in her gown. "I'll see you in a little bit, babe."
Santana somehow makes her way to the bathroom and turns the faucet. Santana began to drink the water while splashing some on her face. Holy crap this tastes amaaazinggg.
After a few minutes of having fun in the water, Santana prepares to make her way to the hallway and leave her room. She opens the door and notices some lights flickering while others just stopped working. Santana leans on the wall for support, however, as she turns the corner she stops. Her eyes go wide at the sight of dried-up blood and bullet holes plastered on the walls. She looks down and sees bodies. Dead patients. Dead nurses. Dead doctors.
OH MY GODD! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!
Santana begins to panic as she starts looking for an exit. She turns another corner and comes face to face with the doors of the cafeteria with something written on them.
DON'T OPEN, DEAD INSIDE.
"What do you mean dead inside?" Santana thought.
As her eyes continue to linger, pale fingers appear to stick out the gap between the doors. They seem to be trying to grab something. Loud groans and moans echo through the hospital walls frightening Santana.
"How the hell do I get out of here?" Santana whimpers. She continued to march forward searching for an exit and finally found it.
Santana pushes the door open and is struck with daylight. As her eyes were blinded by the sun's rays, Santana attempts to get a hold of herself and understand what is happening.
"I'm so fucked!"
