Bonus Chapter (Pure Black)
Sirius Black strode into Grimmauld Place.
Not a hair was out of place.
His robes were of the finest quality.
He looked every inch the pureblood lord he was portraying himself as being.
An elf popped in next to him to retrieve his cloak.
"Thank you WInky" Sirius said praising the helpful thing.
Sirius had to admit that letting Harry talk him into bonding with her was one of the smartest decisions he had ever made.
Thanks to her efforts Grimmauld place was kept spotlessly clean.
She could also keep Kreacher in line as the bloody elf only respected Harry, but feared her.
A trill of phoenix song caught his attention.
"How's it looking in there Himbo?" Sirius asked earning a shrug from the phoenix.
"That bad huh" Sirius said as he opened the double doors to the dining room.
He was immediately entered into a wall of noise.
"What's going on here?" Sirius demanded.
at the sound of his voice the arguing stopped instantly.
"Remus?" Sirius asked his oldest friend.
"We can't agree on what our next move should be" his friend admitted.
Sirius nodded taking his place at the head of the table.
He looked around at those present.
Amelia Bones, Cyrus Greengrass, Dr's Emma and Daniel Granger, Mad Eye, Tonks, Andromeda, and Ted.
Only Augusta Longbottom was missing.
She was at home caring for Frank and Alice who she had withdrew from St Mungo's after Harry miraculously healed them.
These were the leaders of the ARA.
Harry's inner circle.
The ones he trusts to handle things when he has to pretend to be a "normal" Hogwarts aged student.
An organisation that has only increased in members with time.
"What are the options?" Sirius asked.
He looked at Mad Eye.
"We have a lot of work getting the new recruits ready" the aged Auror admitted.
Sirius nodded.
He pondered over the options before looking at his 2nd cousin Tonks.
"Tonks you are assigned to Moody for the foreseeable future. Help him whipping the new recruits into shape" Sirius said.
"Oh and Tonks" he said with a pause.
"No actual whips this time okay" he said earning a chuckle from the others present.
"Remus?" Sirius asked.
"The packs want to offer their aid" he explained.
"And what do they want in return?" Sirius asked knowing it wasn't entirely out of the goodness of their heart.
"A few addendums to the deal we already have with them. And a more vocal voice on the Wizengamot" Remus explained.
"And we already told you until the laws are abolished we can't simply give them a platform" Cyrus explained.
"And the Dark faction, and some of the more radical Grey's would never go for that" Amelia explained with a sigh.
Sirius nodded.
"Then how about we circumvent them" Sirius said with a grin.
"How so" Cyrus asked intrigued.
"Well we know that no Werewolf is allowed a platform right" Sirius said earning a nod from the others.
"What if we simply combine out allies from other races such as the Goblins, Centaurs and the others into one combined entity" Sirius said.
Amelia picking up where he was going with this.
"And as the Ministry already have 'talks' with most of them we can Trojan Horse the Werewolves into things without them even noticing" she beamed.
"It might just work" Cyrus said.
"Tell me why I'm the Minister and not you again" he said with a grin.
"Sirius smiled at Cyrus.
"Because you my friend are the safe choice. Can you imagine what would happen to the Ministry under my control?" Sirius asked with a smile.
"Would be burned to the ground in a day. Or you would prank every Ministry employee into quitting" Andromeda surmised.
Earning nodds of agreement from all present.
No it's better for Sirius to continue to act as he is doing now.
Using the knowledge Harry brought back from the future on Lucius' business dealings and undercutting him at every step of the way.
And if what their friends at Gringotts say is to be believed they have cut off around 70% of his usual income.
Which is a huge chunk, and every Knut they prevent him from earning (both legally and illegally) that's a Knut that the Death Eaters and Voldemort will never see.
That said money then funds the ARA and their interests was merely a secondary perk.
Sirius then turned to Andromeda and Ted to find out what they felt was needed.
"We need more curse breakers, Potioneers, and healers in our ranks" Ted explained.
Sirius nodded.
"Recruit from the Muggleborns and Halfbloods who are planning on returning to the Muggle World, or any disowned purebloods" Sirius explained.
"I might have a lead on how we can speed up their studies but until that is a certainty I wouldn't take my word for it just yet" Sirius said.
"And when I get any free time between my usual tasks and the Wizengamot I'll aid Tonks and Moody in making the newbies combat ready" he added.
"Anything else?" Sirius asked and when nobody brought anything else foreward he called to an end the meeting.
People began leaving rather quickly after that.
They were busy people after all.
Grimmauld place was almost empty but for Sirius and Amelia.
He made his way over to the liquor cabinet.
He poured himself and Amelia a glass of Ogdens finest Firewhiskey.
"How did I do?" Sirius asked after he downed his glass.
Amelia having downed her own too instantly pressed into him.
Her arms wrapped around him and her lips captured his own.
They made their way up to Sirius' bedroom, neither one able to take their hands off the other.
Kissing passionately the entire way.
A dance they had performed many times over.
Something Sirius never would have expected to happen to him if he was honest.
But after the first time just after Sirius turned thirty six he could honestly admit Amelia was quickly becoming one of the best things he had going in his life.
Both putting any inhibitions on hold.
After all they were more than aware of the deaths of their other timelines selves.
And as such knew just how short life could be.
It was a strange conversation to have with Harry.
Something they shared with Remus, Tonks, and Moody.
All appreciated Harry for giving them a chance their other selves never had.
And like Sirius and Amelia there were couples formed because of this.
Remus and Tonks got together much sooner that they previously did.
The werewolf was far less self hating this time around.
Again that was thanks to Harry and his Polyjuice discovery.
Which Andromeda had tested with Harry over the several Full moons since.
And most amazingly of all Mad Eye seems to have settled into a relationship of sorts with Augusta.
Obviously the latter of whom were far more private about their affairs than the others but there were little hints scattered here and there that the observant of the ARA were able to pick up on.
Sirius woke up the following morning.
In his arms was Amelia.
A woman he could honestly admit he was coming to love.
He extracted himself form her embrace carefully.
Before making his way down to the kitchens.
There Winky and a grumbling Kreacher were waiting for him.
As too was Dobby.
"Hey Dobster. What's happening?" Sirius asked.
And Dobby proceeded to tell him about the happenings of Hogwarts.
A task he and Winky originally shared before the Hogwarts Elves started becoming more aggressive towards the pair.
Winky who was bonded to Sirius quickly accepted the order that she should extricate herself from the castle.
Dobby however who was bonded to Harry interpreted his orders to leave the castle as to mean "no-one ever said I couldn't come back".
He was a sneaky one like that.
But Sirius was glad he did.
As he was able to learn things through him that he wouldn't have otherwise be informed about.
Things like how Dumbledore would often leave for the who knows where.
This enabled Sirius to decipher that the old man was probably starting on his Horcrux Hunt.
An action that made Sirius laugh.
After all Harry had already taken care of them all with the exception of Nagini who was dealt with by Grindlewald.
As such Dumbledore is now on what amounts to nothing more than a fools errand.
"Seems fitting really" Sirius thought.
He then put such thoughts aside and sat at the small kitchen table where his usual breakfast was placed before him.
"Thanks Winky" Sirius said making the female elf as happy as could be.
Sirius ate the bowl of porridge, a piece of fruit, and drank his coffee before making a start on his day.
Something that first took him to his study.
He went over some of the intel he had gained recently.
Thanks to reaching out to the abused Elves via Dobby (an idea that Harry had suggested) they were able to finally gain some insight into the Death Eaters activities.
Voldemort was apparently indisposed at the moment.
The results of Harry's curse weren't kind on the man.
Apparently he screamed almost non stop about that Halloween so many years ago.
Reliving the moment his body was blasted apart by the reflected killing Curse.
Sirius grinned revelling in his enemies pain as any good Lord Black should.
Next he read how the inner circle (or what remains of it) have taken up the leadership role in their Masters place.
Bellatrix, Crouch Junior, Lucius, and the Lestrange Brothers were all that remains of Voldemorts inner circle.
And Bellatrix was injured in her duel with Dumbledore bringing the number of effective leaders down even more.
Apparently their leadership is ineffective at best.
Each member seems to be out for themselves.
They want to make the most contributions to they will be praised when their master returns to full health.
And as such they are working on their own things, and undermining the other's every chance they could get.
Sirius smiled at this as they were effectively doing his job for him.
Sadly Bellatrix seems to be on the mend and would soon step back into her role as Voldemorts second.
And with that be able to put the dissenting Death Eaters in line.
Speaking of Bellatrix it seems her injuries were so severe that she would never be able to be with child again.
"At least that's something" Sirius thought.
After all the last thing the world needed was for the crazy B tch to procreate.
Just as he was having such thoughts Amelia made her way into the study.
Sirius shared his intel with her, and she shared with him any intel she gained in her role as head of the DMLE.
The pair made a great team.
Quickly deciding on what intel needed to be acted on first and what was less of a priority.
They then delegated what tasks could be handled by what members of the ARA.
The less important was handled by the newly minted ARA members who had passed training.
Mostly handling jobs outside the purview of the DMLE and the British Ministry.
Some were sent out abroad where Amelia's powers don't' extend.
After all the Death Eaters aren't a wholly British problem.
There were members like the late Karkaroff to think about after all.
This was being taken care of by some of their new recruits.
Most shockingly of all included one Viktor Krum.
A man who had recently gone undercover for the ARA trying to infiltrate the Death Eaters on their behalf.
The man was fearless and felt it was his duty to aid in the fight.
His only misgivings with the ARA was when he initially learned they were responsible for breaking out Grindlewald.
But Harry had never been one for pointless secrets that could come back in the end to bite you in the behind.
As such he sat Krum down and explained everything.
From what Sirius knew there was a lot of screaming and even some curses thrown.
But in the end Harry managed to get his tri-wizard rival to see sense.
It also helped that Harry told of Grindlewalds redemption.
Something that seemed to give the troubled Bulgarian seeker some closure.
Since then he had become a model ARA member.
And one of their best from the new generation.
Something matched by one Fleur Delacour.
She had joined the ARA after she got a job at Gringotts Britain.
She was sent their way through Throatcutter.
And not a moment too soon either as they were able to prevent one Bill Weasley from using the Weasley tactic of doing her with Love potions.
An act that certainly came back to bite him in the rear Sirius thought with a chuckle.
The enraged Veela turned into her bird like form and began hurtling fireballs at him.
From all reports she singed off all his red hair leaving him looking like a slightly charred boiled egg.
And if that wasn't bad enough the Weasley's now have enemies in the Delacour family.
A powerful family within the French Ministry.
And if that wasn't bad enough for them, they have also made an enemy of the largest conclave of Veela in Europe.
Also with Dumbles trying to protect Bill from ICW justice for his actions through his dwindling number of foreign contacts from when he was Supreme Mugwump, the old man had also made an enemy of them too.
Sirius and Amelia then began working out their next plan of action with the ICW in that regard.
They were offering the Delacour's their aid.
Little did Sirius know this was soon to come back and bite him in the behind also.
When he would be nominated as the new Supreme Mugwump after one of their Qilin's happily bowed to him.
An act that caused no end of controversy when a Black was discovered of being pure of heart.
Sadly for Sirius this was soon decided by the other members of the ARA inner circle as being an opportunity they couldn't pass up.
And as such he had to accept the nomination.
He soon won the election and thus gained the coveted role.
And with that his already huge list of things to do each day increased exponentially.
