A new generation of heroes has begun. Together they must work together to face not only ancient enemies from the past, but vile forces from beyond their world. Can our new heroes rise to the challenge and win the day, or will the darkness destroy their world. Only time and space can tell.

Chapter 3

How To Train A Mysticon In Terastallization

Royal Tower

In the Royal Tower, Dreadbane was attacking the Tower again. And in the throne room, Arkayna, in her Mysticon form, and Quaquaval protecting the throne room and the statues of the king and queen.

Dreadbane then burst through the door, and attacked them. Arkayna blocked the attack, and then let out a steam of green fire, as Quaquaval kicked a water blade at Dreadbane. But Dreadbane blocked their attacks.

Arkayna then jumped and fired another fire blast, at the same time feathers popped out of Quaquaval tail feathers and floated around her back like a fan. Then as Quaquaval started to spin around water came out of her fathers, and she started to slash Dreadbane. But Dreadbane blocked all their attacks again.

"Mysticons, come in. Dreadbane's in the tower. Where are you?" Arkayna said to a wrist commutator. "Your friends can't help you now." Dreadbane said to Arkayna, before attacking Arkayna. "This is something you need to face alone." Dreadbane said to Arkayna. "I'm not alone, I have Quaquaval, attack!" Arkayna said, as she jumped up, and fired a massive burst of fire. At the same time, Quaquaval kicked multiple water blades. The attacks caused a massive explosion.

"What do you think of that?" Arkayna asked Dreadbane. But Dreadbane started to laugh, and the flames died down, revealing an unharmed Dreadbane. "Not exactly." Dreadbane said to Arkayna. "That's impossible." Arkayna said, before Dreadbane started to attack.

Arkayna and Quaquaval dodged his attacks, but Arkayna's staff was destroyed in the process. That's when Dreadbane rammed his blade into Quaquaval, killing her. This made Arkayna scared and backed up to her mother's statue.

That's when her mother's statue moved her hand onto Arkayna's shoulder. Arkayna turned to the statue. "How can you protect the realm if you couldn't protect me? Queen Goodfet asked Arkayna, before falling apart into dust. "No!" Arkayna said. That's when Dreadbane grabbed Arkayna and turned her into bone. "Arkayna… kayna… kayna…" Malvaron voice echoed.

That's when Arkayna woke up, all that just happened was just a dream. But that didn't stop Arkayna from turning into her Mysticon form and attacking Malvaron who was trying to wake her. Arkayna sent Malvaron flying into the throne room door, where Empoleon and Quaquaval were standing. Once she realized what she did, she turned back to normal and gasped. "I'm sorry, Malvaron." Arkayna said to Malvaron, moving to him

"I was… you startled me, and… You're not going to tell the others, are you?" Arkayna asked Malvaron, as Malvaron got up. "The secret stays between you, me, the Pokemon, and the goblin who does my dry cleaning." Malvaron said to Arkayna, dusting off his clothes. "Nightmare?" Malvaron asked Arkayna. "I've been having them every night since…" Arkayna said to Malvaron, while looking at the statues.

Malvaron put a hand on her shoulder. "Is there any way to undo Dreadbane's magic?" Arkayna asked Malvaron. "You're a legendary Mysticon now. If anyone has the power, it's you. And I know just who can help." Malvaron said to Arkayna. "Who?" Arkayna asked Malvaron. "The Astromancers." Malvaron said to Arkayna. Arkayna looked at the statues.

The Sea

Later that day, Malvaron and Empoleon had Arkayna, Zarya, Piper, Emerald, Mika, Daiki, Quaquaval, Cinderace, Blaziken, Incineroar, Charizard, Venusaur and Choko in boat with them in their Mysticon forms.

"These 'romancers, they're the big cheese, are they?" Zarya asked Malvaron. "Astromancers. And they're an ancient league of mages that have protected the realm since forever. Yeah, they're kind of big deal." Emerald said to Zarya. "No they haven't. They're just some old hags that believe they're always right, and rarely change." Daiki said to Emerald.

"Oh come on. They're not that bad." Emerald said to Daiki. "They almost whipped out my order when it first started all because they thought trying to live in peace with Pokemon was a bad idea. It took them 800 years for them to welcome Pokemon into their order." Daiki said to Emerald.

"But that was a thousand years ago. You can't really hold that against them." Emerald said to Daiki. "I'm not holding that against them. But I will hold them responsible for doing nothing but hiding in their base for the past two decades." Daiki said to everyone.

"Hey, they're also the ones who can help us save my parents, so I'd appreciate some support." Arkayna said to Daiki. "Support what? For all we know, the Astromancers "might" know the spell, but won't give it to you. All because they think that it's too dangerous for a Mysticon imitation to have." Daiki said to Arkayna.

"He has a point. Plus, I'm just not big on trusting mysterious, creepy authority figures." Zarya said to Arkayna, with Choko agreeing with her. "I hate to agree with Zarya, But even though these guys are my bosses, "creepy" is pretty accurate, actually. Rumor has it some of the Astromancer have been corrupted, so best keep your identities hidden, even from them." Malvaron said to everyone.

"And here I was planning to invite all of them to a tea party." Mika said to everyone, with a sarcastic voice. "We don't have time for a party." Arkayna said to Mika. "I was joking." Mika said to Arkayna, as a light appeared in front of them. "Whoa!" Piper said.

That's when everyone noticed large buildings made into a large natural stone platform, with all the buildings connected to a large round sphere in the middle. "No, not creepy at all." Zarya said to everyone, as they went inside.

Malvaron led everyone into the massive sphere in the middle of the area, and inside was a bunch of astral charts and lines. And while the girls were impressed Daiki wasn't.

"I've seen better." Daiki said. They then walked to the back of the room, where a bunch of people were sitting on floating chairs on top of a very tall staircase with a few pokemon around them, and a very big man in robes was waiting at the base of the stairs.

On the big man's right shoulder was a round dark orange mouse, with round ears, a long black tail, red round cheeks, and two black whiskers on its cheeks with the upper whiskers looking like a lighting rod. This was a female Dedenne.

"So you wish to see the Astromancers?" the man asked everyone, before coughing a lot, making him lower his hood. This revealed he was a cyclops, with a grey eye, white skin, long wavy brown hair, a bushy beard, and a small bushy mustache. "Excuse me. Yeah I got a little something stuck in my throat there." the man said to everyone.

"Doug? Doug Hadderstorm?" Malvaron asked the man. "Malvy, old buddy. I have not seen you since the Sad Minotaur concert." Doug said to Malvaron. "This maze. This maze, it's driving me crazy. Crazy for your love." Malvaron and Doug sang, as they air guitar and sing. That's when they heard someone clearing their throat.

That's when everyone turned their heads to see a man with white skin, hazel eyes, large bushy black eyebrows, no hair on the top of his head, but did have some long hair on the back of his head, and a large white beard that went around his face. He was wearing grey robes with a black line down the middle, and a symbol under his neck.

Next to him was a creature that looked like some kind of yellow human monster, with brown colored knees, upper arms, shoulders, upper body, three claw toes and fingers, a long yellow mustache, two large horns on the top of its head, and two spoons in its hands. It was a male Alakazam.

"Is that quite all?" The old man asked Malvaron and Doug. "Actually, there's a bit more to the chorus." Doug said to the old man, making the old man grumble at Doug. "High Council, we come seeking your help." Malvaron said to the old man.

"So these are the new Mysticons and the two randos?" The old man asked Malvaron, with an intimidating tune. "Did he just call us randos?" Mika asked Daiki. "Given how insulted I feel. I'm going with yes." Daiki said to Mika. "Hi. I like your robe. It's so spooky." Piper said to the old man. This made Arkayna give Piper a look. "What? He seems nice." Piper said to Arkayna. "Not to me." Mika said to Piper, as Arkayna stepped forward.

"We are the Mysticons, chosen by the Dragon Disc to defend the realm of Gemina." Arkayna said to the old man, pulling out the Dragon Disc. "What are your names?" The old man asked everyone. "Whoa. Names are on a need-to-know." Zarya said to the old man, making the old man growl at Zarya. "We're hopeful that the power of the Dragon Disc will free the king and queen from Dreadbane's curse." Arkayna said to the old man.

"Ha! You're not nearly ready for that kind of power yet." The old man said to Arkayna. "Saw that coming." Daiki said to everyone. "Please. We have to save my-." Arkayna said, but was hit by Daiki making her stop. "The queen." Arkayna said to the old man. "Come on, big Nova, give them a shot." Malvaron said to the old man. "It is Nova Terron." A female said to Malvaron, as she stood up and took down her hood.

The women had brown skin, light blue eyes, white hair rolled up into a bun, and wearing grey robes, with a tabard over the robes.

Next to her was a small black creature with hook claws for figures, sharp toe claws, red eyes, three over feathers on its lower back, a red oval feather in its head, yellow ovals on its chest and forehead. This was a male Sneasel.

"And how dare you question his judgment? Why did they even let you into this order?" the woman asked Malvaron, as Mika gave the woman an odd look. "Because I'm a natural. I've got talent all your late-night book learning couldn't hope to match." Malvaron said to the woman, doing a little magic. "Enough." Nova Terron said to everyone.

"Your rival?" Arkayna asked Malvaron. "Worse. My sister." Malvaron said to Arkayna. "Hey, have we met her before?" Mika asked everyone. "I doubt it." Malvaron said to everyone.

"Your training begins immediately. I am assigning you a Solon, who will help you master your powers." Nova Terron said to everyone. "Malvaron would make a great Solon." Piper said to everyone. "I have chosen Tazma." Nova Terron said, pointing to the woman.

"Of course you chose Tazma. Ice queens in training." Malvaron said, as Tazma and Sneasel walked down to them, and Tazma froze Malvaron's head. "Oh, wow. Reverse burn." Zarya said to everyone. "My brother is talented, but he doesn't appreciate how hard work can elevate talent." Tazma said to everyone, as she took the Dragon Disc.

"This is something you will learn, starting tomorrow." Tazma said to everyone, before making a pedestal and putting the Dragon Disc on it. "Solon Tazma, don't you think it's best we get started right away?" Arkayna asked Tazma. "Tomorrow, at 0500." Tazma said to Arkayna, before leaving. Arkayna did like that she was going to have to wait until tomorrow, but didn't have a choice.

The next morning Piper, Mika, Choko, Blaziken, and Charizard were doing a little morning workout, with Zarya and Cinderace watching them. "And a-one, and a-two, and a kick of my shoe." Piper said, as she stretched out her leg. "Come on, Z. Exercising is fun." Piper said to Zarya. "Plus it's a good way to wake up so early in the morning." Mika said to Zayra. "Yay. Exercise." Zarya said.

That's when the other came outside. "Where's Tazma? We've got to get this training started." Arkayna said to everyone, as Emerald held her a cup of cocoa. "Relax, it'll happen. Hot Cocoa? It's an old family recipe." Emerald said to Arkayna, making Arkayna sigh.

"Yo, Em, family's kind of a touchy subject." Zarya said to Emerald. "Oh, my goblin. I'm sorry." Emerald said. "But I'll take that." Mika said, taking the drink. Mika then took a sip. "Um. Not bad. Wish we had this at my family's restaurant." Mika said. "You have a family restaurant?" Emerald asked. "Yeah, it's not a big place. But it's enough." Mika said to Emerald, before they heard a screech. "What was that?" Mika asked.

"Look!" Piper said. That's when they noticed Tazma and Sneasel came flying in on Izzi, with five other griffins following her, all of them in armor. "Griffons!" Piper said, getting excited. "Not just any griffons, Piper. These are the griffons from the Royal Stable. Descended from the original Mysticons' fleet." Emerald said to everyone, as the griffons landed.

"Izzie." Arkayna said, excited to see her griffon, and they all ran to the griffons. Arkayna hugged Izzie, who was now in green armor. "Top of the morning to you, Topaz." Emerald said to a griffon with a purple head and in purple armor.

"Ooh, I'm going to name mine Miss Paisley." Piper said to everyone, petting a griffone with a flame like top. "Isn't that the name of your old stuff griffon? Well it works. I'll call mine Astal." Mika asked Piper, as she petted a griffon with a messy blue top. "For me. I think I'll call mine Sundial." Daiki said, as he petted a griffon with a gold tip that was formed into an acute angle. Then Zarya's griffon licked Zayra. "Ugh! I'm going to call mine Stinky. Like his breath." Zarya said to everyone, making her griffon mad. Choko tried to defend Zarya, but Stinky wasn't intimidated.

"It's going to be harder for you to fly if you make him mad. Remember you need him, not the other way around." Daiki said to Zarya. "Griffons are the traditional battle mounts of the Mysticons. You must work hard to master them." Tazma said to everyone. "Actually, I've been flying griffons for years. So I'm sure thai is just a bit of a formality." Arkayna said to Tazma, walking up to Tazma. "We shall see." Tazma said to Arkayna.

"Mount up, Mysticons." Tazma said to everyone, as they all got onto their griffons, and took off with Charizard following them, with the rest of the Pokemon staying on the ground. "Now, seek and destroy." Tazma said, as she let out a ball for everyone to chase. "Faster Izzie." Arkayna said, as she made Izzie go faster and leave the other in the dust.

"Feel the wind in your hair, girls." Emerald said to everyone. "Ah hm!" Daiki said. "And boy." Emerald said to Daiki. "Let's go, Stinky." Zarya said Stinky. But calling him Stinky, made him do loops. "I told you Stinky was a bad idea." Daiki said to Zarya. "Okay. Okay. I'll change your name." Zarya said to Stinky.

That's when Tazma spit the ball into six balls and shattered them. But before anyone could do anything, Arkayna rushed thru it, and took them all out. "Um, thanks for the assist." Zarya said to Arkayna. "You're welcome." Arkayna said to Zarya, before making Izzie land.

Arkayna then jumped off Izzie, and landed next to Tazma. "Griffon training, check. What's next? At this rate we should get through everything by noon." Arkayna asked Tazma. "We won't." Daiki said, as he landed next to Arkayna, and stayed on his griffon.

"You took down all the targets, and didn't give us a chance to try and attack. We're supposed to be a team." Daiki said to Arkayna. "But we are a team. I just took care of everything myself so we can move on to the next part of our training." Arkayna said to Daiki. "The Dragon Disc will activate when it senses you are ready. But there is much work to be done beforehand." Tamza said to Arkayna, as the others landed and they all got off their griffons.

"Hear that girls, we're going to need some hard work from you." Arkayna said to everyone. "Whatever." Zayra said to Arkayna, before everyone left. "Perhaps a more difficult trail is required of you." Tazma said to Arkayna. This confused Arkayna.

Tazma then lead Arkayna, and their Pokemon to a nearby island with a man made waterfall on it, and a lot of stairs. "Seriously?" Arkayna asked, before Tamza made buckets full of water to appear on Arkayna's shoulders. "You want me to haul water? Forgive me, Solon Tazma, but why?" Arkayna asked Tazma.

"If you want to save the king and queen, you'll have to trust me. Now leave your Pokemon here, and walk up those stairs." Tazma said to Arkayna. Arkayna sighed and started walking.

"Train hard, Mysticons, for once the Dragon Disc is activated, it will lead you to a greater power: a magical book known as the Codex." Tazma said, as Emerald tried a magic blast, only to get sent flying off her griffon, and into Zayra's griffon. This caused Zarya to missed a fired arrow, as she fell off her griffon. The arrow caused Piper to fall off her Griffon. Lucky Daiki and Mika caught everyone on their griffons.

"The Codex is split into four pieces that are scattered across the realm." Tazma said, as Arkayna was having a hard time making up the first couple of steps. " The Dragon Disc will give you clues to find pieces of the Codex, and each piece will imbue you with special powers." Tazma said to everyone, as the others got a little better.

"The power of the dragon." Tazma said, looking at Arkayna. "The power of the wolf." Tamza said, looking at Zarya. "The power of the phoenix." Tazma said, looking at Piper. 'And the power of the unicorn." Tazma said, looking at Emerald.

"What about me and Daiki?" Mika asked Tamza. "I don't know. The idea of there being six Mysticons and not four. Chances are you two may get nothing." Tazma said to Mika. "Well that's not fair." Mika said.

"But once all four pieces of the Codex have been combined, your powers will increase 100-fold. Just as the original Mysticons used the Codex to destroy old evils like Necrafa, Queen of the Undead, you must use it to destroy new evils." Tazma said, as everyone kept training.

"There is hope for… most of you." Tazma said, as she noticed everyone but Arkayna improved. After a bit, Arkayna made it to the top, and poured water into the base of the statue of the old Mysticons. "There, Solon Tazma.I can do this all knight, you know? All night." Arkayna said from the top of the stairs, but she slipped on a puddle, and fell all the way down the stairs, with a bucket landing on her head.

"Oh, this is stupid." Arkayna said, as Quaquaval took the bucket off her. "What does this have to do with Training?" Arkayna asked Quaquaval and Izzie. "Quaquaval?" Quaquaval said, not knowing herself.

"Pathetic. Your arrogance will be the downfall of your team, Dragon Mage. the forces of evil will rise up and devastate the realm." Nova Terron said, watching all this form a magic window.

Later that night, everyone was feeding their griffons. "Come on Topaz. Eat your oats." Emerald said to Topaz. "She's probably freaked out by Dandruff the Grey. he's so creepy." Zarya said to Emerald, pointing to Nova Terron, who was staring at them from a window above them. But Piper just giggled.

"Good night, Nova Terron! Sleep tight. Don't the bedbug bears bite." Piper said to Nova Terron, waving good night. This made Nova Terron grunted and closed the window. "Aw, he's so cute." Piper said to everyone. "Is there anything you don't think is cute?" Daiki asked Piper. "Uh… maybe." Piper said to Daiki.

"At least Tazma's not a thousand years old." Zarya said to everyone. "She's pretty amazing. Working her way up the ranks couldn't have been easy." Emerald said to everyone. "Yeah. Tazma's the best." Piper said to everyone. "Is she? I feel like we met her before we got here. I just can't figure out where. But I think it was something bad." Mika said to everyone. "Oh come on, she's not that bad." Piper said to Mika.

That's when Arkayna, Izzie, and Quaquaval showed up. "Tazma is the worst. She totally hates me." Arkayna said to everyone. "Just because she doesn't bow to you doesn't mean she hates you." Daiki said to Arkayna, as Arkayan walked past everyone, upset.

"Whoa, take a deep, cleansing breath. Tazma does not hate you. She probably is just pushing you harder because she believes-" Emerald said to Arkayna, before Arkayna closed an elevator door on her. "...you." Emerald said. "Alway a great counselor Emerald." Daiki said to Emerald.

Tazma was working with some charts in the sphere, when Arkayna burst into the room, making Tazma lose her charts. "Do you have any idea how hard it is to lug those buckets up those stairs? My hands hurt, my legs hurt, my hair hurts. I am the Dragon Mage, leader of the Mysticons. This is humiliating. Not to mention pointless." Arkayna said to Tazma. "So this is all about you then." Tazma asked Arkayna as the two of them almost locked horns.

"Have you seen Doug? He was looking for-" Malvaron said, as he walked up to them, only to stop talking when noticed the tension in the air. "And I'm interrupting. I'll come back later." Malvaron said to everyone. "No, it's fine. I was just leaving." Arkayna said to Malvaron, as she started to leave.

But once she reached the way out, Arkayna found everyone standing at the door. "Oh, what are you doing here?" Arkayna asked everyone. "We're here to support you." Piper said to Arkayna. "Whatever happens, we're in this together." Emerald said to Arkayna. "You too?" Arkayna asked Zarya, Mika, and Daiki.

"Look, I know what it's like to lose family, so if we have a shot at saving the king and queen, I'm all in." Zarya said to Arkayna, putting a hand on her shoulder. "For me, I'm always up for an adventure, so count me in." Mika said to everyone. "It's my job to help you. So I got your back. But that doesn't mean I won't try and be the voice of reason every step of the way." Daiki said to Arkayna.

"I get it. This isn't about me. It's about us, as a team." Arkayna said to Tazma. This made the Dragon disc glow pink and light blue. "The Dragon Disc. It senses your commitment. But that's odd. It's supposed to glow gold." Tazma said to everyone, as a large message made out of light appeared form the disc

"Sweet! Your fist riddle. Let the quest for the Codex begin." Malvaron said to everyone. "I hate riddles." Emerald said to everyone. "The first piece that you do look for is not behind just any door." Arakyna said, reading the riddle. "The most regal of worms is where you'll find…" Zarya said, reading the riddle. "Fiery magic, through piece of mind." Emerald said, reading the riddle. That's when the Dragon Disc stopped glowing.

"Most regal of worms? Yuck, gross." Piper said to everyone. "Naw, I think it means dragons. The most regal…" Zarya said to Piper, with Arkayna interrupting her."Would be the queen of dragons." Arkayna said to everyone. "But the dragons are gone. So what does she have to do with the location of the piece of the Codex?" Mika asked everyone.

"It means the ancient statue of Auratha. In Drake Central Station. Mount up, girls." Arkayna said to everyone. "How many times do I have to remind you I'm a boy." Daiki said to everyone, as they ran to the griffons. "Well done." Tazma said to Arkayna, making Arkayna stop. "You've worked hard for this. Just make sure your team works as hard as you do." Tazma said to Arkayna. "Thanks for pushing me, Solon Tazma. I won't let you down." Arkayna said to Tazma, before moving to the others that were waiting by the door.

"May the Star of Gygax guide you on your quest." Tazma said to Arkayna. "And may it guide you over a cliff." Tazma said to Malvaron, before leaving. "Not bad, Dragon Mage. You survived my sister. Be careful out there." Malvaron said to Arkayna, before the door closed.

The Mysticons then got on their griffons and took off, with their Pokemon riding on the back of their partner's griffon, except for Venusaur, who was getting carried by Sundial.

Once they were gone, Malvaron and Emoleon were walking around outside, while Malvaron was talking on his phone. "Okay, Doug, what did you want to tell me?" Malvaron asked Doug over his phone. "I've figured out which Astromancer is the traitor. And it-." Doug said to Malvaron, but the phone started to get all staticy.

"Doug you're breaking up." Malvaron said to Doug. "Traitor… traitor…" Doug said, before Malvaron's phone turned off. "Who?" Malvaron asked. That's when shadows grabbed him and Empoleon, and from the shadow. That's when Nova Terron came walking up, with Alakzam not with him.

Drake City, Drake Central Station

Back in Drake City, the Mysticons were almost to Drake Central Station. With Drake Central Station being a large station building with many large openings, and all the windows were stained glass. The station was in the air and was connected to the ground by three tube elevators.

While the Arkayna, Emerald, Piper and Zayra, used their magic to zipline to the station. Mika and Daiki came on on the griffons, and had them drop off the Pokemon. "We've got to find a better way to transport all our Pokemon." Daiki said to everyone, as they went into the station.

Inside you could see all the train platforms, the time charts, and trains going by. That's when they noticed a gold dragon statue coming out of the back wall. "The statue of the Dragon Queen." Arkayna said to everyone. "Uh, we might have a problem." Mika said, as they noticed a shadow moving to the statue. "Looks like we're not the only ones interested in it." Zayra said to everyone.

That's when shadows took a shape and started to move to the statue. "But only the Astromancers knew the Codex piece was here." Emerald said to everyone. "I bet Nova Terron's behind this." Zarya said to everyone. "Just because the man's creepy doesn't make him the one behind this. We can't just jump to conclusions." Daiki said to Zarya.

"Let's go, girls." Arkayna said to everyone, as she energy whipped herself to the statue. "Ugh! Are you ever going to remember I'm here?" Daiki asked Arkayna, before they followed her, leaving the Pokemon.

"Piece of mind." Arkayna said, as she hanged in front of the statues head. "The Codex piece must be in the dragon's head." Arkayna said, as she touched the forehead of the dragon. That's when a small portal opened up and she reached her hand in. She then had a surprised look on her face, and pulled something out. And at something was a green book with a dragon head mark on it.

"Got it." Arkayna said to everyone. That's when a shadow bolt shoots the book out of Arkayna's hands. That's when the shadows went after it. "Should have seen that coming." Daiki said to everyone. "Oh, my goblin!" Arkayna said, as the book landed on a moving train, with the shadow things getting on the train.

"Let's go, girls. Ha!" Arakyna said to everyone, as she jumped onto the train. "Can't you just say gang? But whatever." Daiki said, as they all jumped. "Mysticons!" everyone said, as the Pokemon jumped onto the train. Well everyone but Venusaur, who stood still. "Venusaur." Venusaur said, feeling left out. That's when Sundial flew in and took Venusaur away

Back outside, as the train moved through the sky, Arkayna ran ahead of everyone. "Arkayna, wait up!" Emerald said to Arkayna. "Yeah, those shadow thugs are still around somewhere." Daiki said to Arakyna, as the shadow thugs appeared in front of them. "I've got this." Arkayna said, as she called out her staff, and took out the shadow thugs herself.

But that's when the train turned and Arkayna fell off. "Whoa! Aah!" Arkayna said, as she grabbed the railing. "Hold on!" Zarya said, as the train took many turns. The shadows were unaffected by moving off the train and tried to attack Arkayna.

"Cinderace use Pyro Ball." Zarya said, as she tossed a pebble to Cinderace. "Cinderace." Cinderace said, as he kicked the pebble and turned it into a fireball. The fireball flew and hit a few of the shadow thugs, at the same time Zarya shot a couple arrows. Zarya then moved up to where Arkayna was hanging and fired arrows, as Daiki and Quaquaval pulled Arkayna up and back onto the train roof.

"You sure you got this? That's one you owe me, Princess." Zarya said to Arkayna, as everyone ran past her and started to attack.

"Charizard use Air Slash." Mika said, as she stood behind everyone. "Charizard." Charizard said, as he whipped his wings, firing two wind blades from his wings. The wind blades cut two of the shadow thugs apart.

"Cinderace use Flame Charge." Zarya said to Cinderace, as she fired arrows at a couple of shadow thugs, forcing the shadow thugs back. "Cinderace." Cinderace said, as he encased himself in flames, and ran through the shadow thugs, breaking them apart. When Cinderace was done running around, the faes stop, and he glowed red

"Blaziken use Double Kick." Piper said to Blaziken. "Blaziken." Blaziken said, as he started to kick a couple of shadow thugs, at the same time Piper kicked a couple of shadow thugs.

"Incineroar use Fury Swipes." Emerald said to Incineroar, as she used her sword to slashed threw a couple of shadow thugs. "Incineroar." Incineroar said, as his claws became longer and glowed white. Incineroar then started to slash through a few of the shadow thugs.

That's when Twilight and Abyss jumped off a roof, and helped in the fight. With them were two large birds.

One of the large birds with yellow feet, back talons. A grey feathers covering its body, and long grey tail feathers with black ends. And a face with black and white feathers on its face, and a hint of red feathers on the tip of a horn on its head, it had a yellow beck, with a black tip, and red eyes. This was a female Staraptor.

The other large bird had grey ash color feathers, with red feathers around its head and upper body, as small black beck, thick feathers on its legs, with yellow talons and black claws, the lower part of her wings being red, and red spots, the upper part of her wings were black, a large tail with three yellow lines on it with two smaller black side feathers next to it, black eyes with white irises, and a feather point on the top of it's head. This was a male Talonflame.

"Abyss! Twilight! What are you two doing here?" Mika asked them, as they defeated a couple of the shadow thugs. "And how are these cool birds with you?" Piper asked them, as they watched Staraptor move at high speed, and go clean throw one of the shadow thugs, and Talonflame did some fancy jumping around taking out a couple of shadows.

"Those are a Staraptor and Talonflame. Staraptor, the Predator Pokemon, a Normal and Flying Type. it never stops attacking even if it is injured. It fusses over the shape of its comb. And Talonflame, is the Scorching Pokemon, a Fire and Flying Type. It has top-notch flying capabilities. It flies easily, even while carrying prey that weighs more than 220 lbs." Daiki said to Piper. "But what are you doing here?" Arkayna asked them.

"What we always do. We're more active at night than in the day. And we noticed you rookies messing around on a train. So what mess have you gotten yourselves into this time?" Abyss asked Arkayna, as he took out another shadow thug.

"We're trying to get that Codex piece." Arkayna said to Abyss, pointing to the book. "Really you're fighting on a train over a book?" Abyss asked Arkayna. "It's an important book for the Mysticons. It's really powerful." Arkayna said to Abyss.

"Ah. That makes more sense. Staraptor, clear a way with Aerial Ace." Abyss said to Staraptor, as he cut down a few of the shadow thugs. "Staraptor." Staraptor said, as she disappeared, then reappeared behind a few shadow thugs, and took them out.

"Cool, Blaziken use Aerial Ace yourself." Piper said, as she threw her ring at the shadow thugs. But the shadow thugs dodged the ring. "Blaziken." Blaziken said, as he disappeared, Blaziken then reappeared behind the shadow thugs, and kicked the ring. This made the ring bounce back and hit the shadow thugs in the back.

Twilight then used her physic power to hold a few of the shadow thugs in place. "Talonflame use Steel Wing." Twilight said to Talonflame. "Talonflame." Talonflame said, as his wings glowed silver. Talonflame then slashed through the shadow thugs.

"Quaquaval use Aqua Step." Arkayna to Qyaquaval as she fired fire blasts at the shadow thugs. "Quaquaval." Quaquaval said, as she charged at a few of the shadow tugs, as she ran, feathers popped out of her tail feathers and floated around her back like a fan. Then as Quaquaval started to spin around water came out of her feathers, and she slashed threw the shadow thugs. When she was done, she glowed red.

"Charizard use Dragon Breath." Mika said to Charizard, as she dodged shadow thugs' attacks. "Charizard." Charizard said, as he let out a surge of teal energy, taking out a few of the shadow thugs.

Then a shadow thug crabbed Cinderace, and wrapped it arms around cinderace, keeping Cinderace from moving his legs and hands. "Cinderace use Headbutt." Zarya said to Cinderace. "Cinderace." Cinderace said, as his head glowed white, and he slammed his head into the shadow thug's head. This made the shadow thug let go of him. And once that happened, Zarya fired an arrow at it and finished it.

"Incineroar use Darkest Lariat." Emerald said to Incineroar, as slashed the shadow thugs. "Incineroar." Incineroar said, as his hands were lit on fire. Incineroar then started to spin around at high speed, smashing threw the shadow thugs.

Without a weapon or Pokemon, Daiki moved around the fight, and grabbed the book. But a shadow thug reached it first, and held it in front of Daiki mockingly. Not wanting to lose the book, Arkayna jumped up and attacked with a burst of fire, almost hitting Daiki, but taking down the shadow, and making it drop the book. The book then fell over the edge, and Daiki lunged for it, but missed.

"No!" Daiki said, as saw the book landed on another train. Arkayna then jumped off the train. "Arkayna!" Emerald said. Luckily she landed on the other train, but that's when the shadow thugs moved to the other train. "Why does she keep doing that?" Emerald asked everyone. "Because she's rushing. And rushing in this line of work always ends badly." Twilight said, as they all moved to help her.

But that's when the train Arkayna was on, turned leading her away from everyone, before they could jump onto the other train. "See what I mean." Twilight said to everyone. "You kids stay here. We'll go help that green fool." Abyss said, as he and Twilight started to float, and fly after Arkayna, with Staraptor and Talonflame following them.

"Oh no where not! Let's go!" Emerald said to everyone, before whistling. That's when everyone jumped off, and their griffons showed up. They all landed on their backs, and went after Arkayna.

Back with Arkayna, even though she had the book, she was quickly overwhelmed and lost the book.

"Charizard use Air Slash." Mika said to Charizard. "Staraptor use Quick Attack." Abyss said to Staraptor. "Talonflame use Acrobatics." Twilight said to Talonflame. "Cinderace use Pyro Ball." Zarya said to Cinderace, as she gave Cinderace a pebble, and fired arrows.

"Charizard/Staraptor/Talonflame/Cinderace." The four of them said, as Charizard whipped his wings and fired wind blades at the shadow thugs, Staraptor moved fast, Talonflame started to flip around the shadow thugs, and Cinderace kicked the pebble turning it into a fireball.

All of their attacks cleared the shadow thugs away from Arkayna. "Now that's two you owe me." Zarya said to Akrayna. "Thanks, girls." Arkayna said to everyone. "Did you forget, me and Tempo are here?" Abyss asked Arkayna. "To be honest I think she doesn't care. They're more girls than guys here after all. Well if you don't count the Pokemon, then it's even." Daiki said to Abyss, as Arkayna got the book.

That's when the cloaked woman showed up behind Arkayna. "Oh, my goblin! Arkayna, look out!" Emerald yelled to Arkayna. And before anyone could react, the cloaked woman shadow bolted Arkayna. "That's the creepy shadow mage who tried to foz-nap Choko." Piper said to everyone. "Arkayna, that mage works for Dreadbane." Zarya said to Arkayna. "Dreadbane?" Arkayna asked.

That's when Abyss, Twilight, Staraptor, and Talonflame got in front of Arkayna. "Working for Dreadbane now. I gotta say I'm disappointed in you… Tazma." Abyss said to the cloaked woman, surprising everyone, as Twilight used her powers to rip off the cloaked woman's hood, revealing it to be Tazma, with her long hair down, and three black marks under her eyes.

"Tazma? You work for Dreadbane?" Arkayna asked, as everyone, but Venausuar, joined them on the train. "Sorry to hear about the royal family. Collateral damage." Tazma said to Arkayna. Arkayna yelled and fired an attack at Tazma.

"Sneasler, get out here." Tazma said, as from behind her, Sneasel jumped out, and glowed black. Sneasel doubled in size, becoming leaner, almost human shape, he gained another claw on his foot, his tail feather became a one small tail, the feather on his head stretched out becoming very long, the ovals on him became diamonds and the claws on his hands became longer like blades with a curve point, and gained another blade. When the black faded it revealed Sneasel was now light purple, with dark purple fur around its feet and face, while the father on his head and his claws were black, with the edge of the blade a bright violet.

With his new form, and his claws covered in black with a purple outline, Sneasel easily slashed Arkayna's magic. "What is that?" Piper asked. "I don't know." Daiki said to Piper. "That's Sneasler, a forgotten bloodline of the Sneasel kind. She used Dark magic a long time ago to transform her Sneasel into that. Careful it's no longer a Dark and Ice Type, it's a Poison and Fighting Type now." Abyss said to everyone.

Tazam then laughed crazy, and removed her cloak revealing her grey armor over a red jumpsuit, with a few marks on the armor, and a pendined of the mark Dreadbane had. Tazma then casted shadow tendrils at everyone, grabbing the Mysticons and their Pokemon, minus Abyss, Twilight, Staraptor, and Talonflame, who dodge and break the tendrils going for them.

"This was all just a game for you? You help me so you could betray me?" Arkayna asked Tazma, as Tazma took the book from Arkayna. "So you could activate the Dragon Disc. Nothing personal. But I toiled for years under the Astromancers. Now, I have the power. Power that not even you can stop me from having Abyss and Twilight." Tazma said to everyone.

"Like I said, disappointing. Always with a get rich scheme. Wasting your life because of your super size ego." Abyss said to Tazma. "And you should know after all your failed schemes. We're not letting you get away with them." Twilight said to Tazma.

"I would be more worried about this train." Tazma said to Abyss and Twilight, as she cast a spell on the train, making it change tracks "Now then, I'm off to destroy the Astromancers before the very eyes of their sacred heroes." Tazma said to everyone.

"You can't tell, but I'm making a rude Elven hand gesture right now." Piper said to Tazma. "Please have some manners." Daiki said to Piper. "It was a pleasure being your Solon." Tazma said to the still trapped Mysticons, before she made herself and Sneasler disappear in the shadows with.

Once they were gone, everyone noticed another train heading right for them. That's also when they noticed a knocked out Malvaron and Empoleon shadow chained to the front of the other train. "Malvaron!" Arkayna said.

"I'm going to slop the trains, Abyss help them." Twilight said, as she flew to the spot where the trains would collide. Twilight then used her power to slow down the train.

"I got this." Arkayna said, as she summoned her staff, and used it to break free of the shadow holding her. Arkayna than freed everyone. "Now we owe you one." Zarya said to Arkayna, as she fired a few arrows freeing Malvaron and Empoleon from their chains. Then Arkayna cast a spell and changed the train they were on.

They avoid a crash, and Twilight dodged the train, but Malvaron and Empoleon are falling to the street, a good distance below them. The Mysticons and their Pokemon jumped off the train. "Daiki, let's try that trick again!" Emerald said to Daiki, as Arkayna grabbed Malvaron, and Quaquaval grabbed Empoleon, and everyone was around them. "Waiting on you." Daiki said to Emerald.

Emerald then made a crystal bubble around everyone, Daiki then touched the bubble, and made it slow down. "How long does this last?" Arkayna asked Daiki and Emerald. "For my slow down, until something touches it again. As for the bubble…" Daik said to Arkayna, as the bubble turned itself off. "NOT LONG!" Daiki yelled, as they fell at normal speed.

But that's when a pink outline appeared on all of them, and they noticed Abyss, Twilight, Staraptor, and Talonflame. Twilight then lowered everyone to a couple feet above the street, then let them go, letting them crash.

"You didn't have to be so rough!" Zarya saud to Twilight. "Considering you kids thought it was a good idea to jump off a train without a plane, yes." Twilight said to Zarya. That's when Malvaron and Empoleon woke up, and noticed they were on top of Arkayna and Quaquaval. Nervous Malvaron and Empoleon quickly got up.

"What did I miss?" Malvaron asked everyone. "Let's just say your sister tried to destroy you." Zarya said to Malvaron, placing her fist together. "Hmm, not surprised. But it still hurts." Malvaron said to everyone.

"We tried to warn your order that Tazma has gone evil for years. But Nova Terron never listened to us. Think us a threat, and believe we were just trying to break the order apert. Honestly, your order sucks." Abyss said to Malvaron, as he, Twilight, Staraptor, and Talonflame laned next to everyone. "That doesn't surprise me either." Malvaron said to Abyss.

"Arkayna, you okay?" Emerald asked Arkayna, helping Arkayna up. "I'm fine, but we've got to find Tazma." Arakyana said to everyone. "You guys go save the day. I'll warn Nova Terron." Malvaron said to everyone. "Tazma said she wanted to take down the Astromancers in front of their heroes, but that's us, right?" Emerald asked everyone.

"Not really. Remember there's an extra two of us. And we just showed up. If anything, they think we're just cheap knock offs." Daiki said to everyone. "Then where would she go?" Mika asked everyone. "I might have an idea on where she is." Arkayna said to everyone.

The Island Near The Astromancers HQ

And where Tazma and Sneasler was, was at the base of the statue of the old Mysticons statue, there Tazma was trying to force the book open with a dark spell, and it worked. A red serpent dragon came out of the book and onto Tazma's wrist. "The power of the Dragon Bracer." Tazma said, before laughing.

But she stopped laughing when she heard a griffon screeching. Tazma looked up to see Arkayna, Zarya, Piper, Emerald, Mika, Daiki Quaquaval, Cinderace, Blaziken, Incineroar, Charizard, and Venusaur flying in, with Sundial carrying Venusaur, and Abyss, Twilight, Staraptor, and Talonflame flying behind them.

"What? They survived? I knew I should have tied up Abyss and Twilight as well." Tazma said to herself. "She's trying to corrupt the Codex piece. Mystions, together." Arkayna said to everyone. "Destroy them." Tazma said, as she made a bunch of shadow thugs pop out her shadow and attack everyone.

"Giddyup, Stinky." Zarya said to Stinky. That's when Stinky flew straight down. "I mean Toby… Buster… Rocco…" Zarya said to Stinky, but nothing changed. "Archer?" Zarya asked Stinky. That's when Stinky flew normally. "Archer!" Zarya said to Stinky, now Archer.

"Cinderace use Pyro Ball." Zarya said to Cinderace, as she tossed Cinderace a pebble, and fired arrows. "Cinderace." Cinderace said, as he kicked the pebble and turned it into a fireball. The fireball and arrows cleared threw a few of the shadow tugs

"Charizard use Flamethrower." Mika said to Charizard. "And Quaquaval use Aqua Cutter." Arkayna said to Quaquaval, as she fired green fire blasts. "Charizard/Quaquaval." Charizard and Quaquaval said, as Charizard let out a steam of fire, and Quaquaval kicked a few water blades at the shadow thugs. All of their attacks took out a handful of the shadow thugs.

"Venusaur use Petal Blizzard." Daiki said to Venusaur. "Venusaur." Venusaur said as he let out a fury of pink petals from his massive flower. The petals slashed threw a couple of the shadow thugs.

"Talonflame use Flare Blitz." Twilight said to Talonflame, as she used her psychic powers to make a few of the shadow thugs crash into each, at the same time Piper threw her ring, and Emerald fired energy blasts from her sword. "Talonflame!" Talonflame said, as he became encased in a large fire and flew threw a lot of the shadow thugs.

"Staraptor, finish them with Double Team and Quick Attack." Abyss said to Staraptor. "Staraptor!" Staraptor said, as she made a handful of copies of herself. All the copies then moved around at high speed, distracting the last of the shadow thugs, and allowing the real Staraptor to finish them. Once she was done, the way to Tazma and Sneasler was clear

That's when they all landed in front of Tazam. "It's over, Tazma." Arkayna said to Tazma, as everyone got ready to fight. Tazma cackled at Arkayna, as she formed a thick shadow bubble around her and Sneasler. From the bubbles, tendrils came out and attacked everyone.

Everyone tried fighting back, but was quickly captured by the tendrils. The only one left was Arkayna, who moved on a tendril. "You're too late, Mysticons. The power of the Dragon Bracer is mine." Tazma said to Arkayna. Arkayna then charged at Tazma, and attacked the bubble. "I don't think so. Sneasler!" Tazma said to Arkayna and Sneasler.

That is when Sneasler burst out of the bubble, and got really close to Arkayna, before moving at high speed, slashing and kicking Arkayna, sending Arkayna flying away. "That was Close Combat! It's one of the strongest fighting moves!" Daiki said, as Sneasler glowed blue, and moved back into the bubble, as Tazma cackled.

"With the power of the Codex, what happened to the king and queen is child's play. It's my time now." Tazma said to everyone. "Your time in the spotlight is over." A female voice said to Tazma. That's when Tazma and Sneasler turned to see the red headed woman and her Gengar behind them.

The woman then punched Tazma in the face, sending Tazma flying through her bubble and breaking it, and freed everyone, also making Tazma lose the Dragon Bracer and the Codex piece. "Gengar, Sludge Bomb." The woman said to Gengar, as she picked up the Codex piece. "Gengar." Gengar said, as he fired a ball of sludge at Sneasler. The ball of sludge hit Sneasler in the head, and sent him flying back to Tazma. When he landed next to Tazma, his eyes were swirls.

"You! What are you doing here? And why did you attack me? You told me if I got the Codex I would be super powerful!" Tazma said to the woman, making the woman laugh at her. "I told you that so you get yourself busted. You were smart, hiding all traces of your scheme, even after they failed. But giving your pride once you thought yourself something big, you ruin everything yourself." The woman said to Tazma, making Tazma mad.

Tazma then fired a shadow bolt at the woman. But the woman tossed the book to Ganger, before disappearing into the shadows before the shadow bolt hit her. "Huh? She's copying me! I made my spell!" Tazma said, as she stood up. "But this trick is all mine." A female voice said.

That's when the female woman appeared behind Tazma, with her hands glowing purple. The woman then grabbed Tazma's shoulders, and dug her fingers into Tazma's shoulders. This made Tazma groan in pain a little. Then the woman let go and pulled her hands away from Tazma. As she did, everyone noticed the tip of her fingers was red and fall thin red strings came out of Tazma.

"Now then. Since you helped me with what I want, I'll help you get away, but just this once." The woman said to Tazma, waving her hands and moving her fingers "No. That Codex piece is mine. You can't make me leave it!" Tazma said to the woman, before she cast a spell that made herself and Sneasler disappear into the shadows. "I just did." The woman said, as she shook her hands and they stopped glowing.

"Now then I believe this is what you want?" The woman asked everyone, walking to Gangar, and taking the book back. "Who are you?" Zarya asked the woman. "I go by many names and titles. But my favorite and what I want you to call me, is El." the woman said to everyone, bowing to them with a mocking tune in her voice.

"Well El, will you hand over that Codex piece?" Arkayna asked El. "Why would I do that? Actually, I really should hand it over. But I don't think you deserve it. But you need it to get stronger. Oh what should I do?" El asked herself, with a playful tune in her voice.

"Is this a joke to you?!" Arkayna asked El, getting annoyed by her. "Maybe. But then again maybe not. Who can say Arkayna." El said to Arkayna, surprising everyone. "You know who I am?" Arkayna asked El. "I know who all of you are. Can't hide secrets from someone who hangs out in darkness." El said to everyone.

"Darkness! That means you work for the forces of evil." Emerald said to El. "I use darkness. That doesn't mean I'm evil. After all power is power, it doesn't know good or evil. Those things just don't exist in nature. But that doesn't mean I'm nice. I did convince Tazma to hire Zarya, Piper, Mika and her Pokemon to steal the Dragon Disc. And I opened the Royal Tower door, letting Dreadbane and his forces in." El said to everyone, turning her head away from everyone, scratching her chin.

"You did WHAT!" Arkayna said, before firing a few burst of fire, then jumped up and fired a few burst of fire from the sky. But El dodged all of the attack with ease and without turning her head. "What? How?!" Arkayna asked, as she landed by everyone.

"I'm going to let that slide. After all, I opened the door that led to your parents turning to bone. But you should know I only did that because I need the proper simulation for you all to become Mysticons. What happened to the king and queen wasn't what I wanted." El said to Arkayna.

"Why should I care what you want!? Your actions hurt the Royal family. You're a criminal." Arkayna asked El. "And what are you? A saint?" El asked Arkayna, before laughing a little. "Look Arkayna. It's like I said, there's no such thing as good and evil. There's just you and me. Each driven by what we want. After all, you're not here to be a hero to your people. You are here to free your parents from their curse." El said to Arkayna.

"I want to protect my people and save my parents." Arkayna said to El. "Will you. I wonder if it comes down to protecting the people or saving your bone parents, what will you pick?" El asked Arkayna. Arkayna said nothing and looked down. "What's wrong? Too much for your spoiled brain to handle?" El asked Arkayna, hitting her head with the codex piece, and a mocking tune in her voice.

"Enough! Give us the Codex piece." Arkayna said to El, pointing her staff at her, as the rest of Mysticons and their Pokemon got ready to fight. "Everyone wait! There is something familiar about her. And it's a bad familiar. Be on guard." Twilight said to everyone. "Oh come on, there's only her and a strong Ganger. I'm sure all of us can handle her." Zarya said to Twilight.

"Good point. Let's change that." El said to everyone, pulling out an alarm clock, after a couple seconds the thing started to ring. That's when Abyss and Twilight covered their ears, and disappeared, with Staraptor and Talonflame disappearing as well. "What was that?" Mika asked. "A secret. But now the scales are tipped in my favor." El said to everyone. "I don't think so! You're going down!" Arkayna said to El, before they all attacked.

But that's when El threw the alarm clock at Arkayna's face, knocking Arkayna back into Quaquaval and knocked them both onto the ground. "Gengar use Shadow Ball." El said to Gengar, without a hint of worry or care in her voice. "Gengar." Gengar said, as he made a ball of black energy from his mouth. Gengar then fired the ball of black energy, and it hit the floor in the middle of everyone.

This caused a burst of energy, and it scattered all of them. "Cinderace use Pyro Ball." Zarya said to Cinderace, as she tossed him a pebble, and fired arrows at El. "Cinderace." Cinderace said, as he kicked the pebble, and turned it into a fireball. "Gengar use Dark Pulse." El said to Gangar, as she dodged the arrows with little effort.

"Gengar." Gengar said, as he fired a pulse of black rings. The black rings smashed, threw the Pyro Ball, and missed Cinderace. But the force of the rings did knock Cinderace down and right onto Zarya.

"Incineroar use Darkest Lariat!" Emerald said to Incineroar. "Incineroar." Incineroar said, as his hands were lit on fire and he started to spin, heading to El and Gengar, with Emerald right behind him. "Gengar use Sludge Bomb." El said to Gengar. "Gengar." Gengar said, as he fired a ball of sludge.

The sludge hit the spot Incineroar was heading, making a small sludge puddle. Hitting the puddle made Incineroar go out of control, and he missed El and Gengar, and crashed into the statues of the old Mysticons. "That never gets old." El said, as she turned to look at Incineroar, and placed her hands on the back of her head, while Emerald was still charging at El.

Not paying attention, Emerald jumped up, and tried to slash El. But that's when a 2 foot narrow black saw blade popped out of her decorative gauntlet, blocking Emerald's attack. "Huh?!" Emerald said, before El spun around, sending Emerald into Daiki, Mika, Venusaur, and Charizard.

"Take this. Blaziken use Blaze kick." Piper said to Blaziken, as she threw her ring at El. "Blaziken." Blaziken said, as he jumped into the air, and came down with his right foot on fire. "I got this one Gengar." El said to Gengar, as she used her blade to catch Piper's ring, and spun it around, before tossing it at Blaziken. When the ring hit Blaziken, it knocked him out of the air, and made him crash on Piper.

"Come on. Don't tell me that's all you got. Looks like I'll have to take matters into my own hands." El said, before disappearing into shadows. "Where did she go?" Arkayna asked, as everyone got up and scattered ready for a fight.

That's when El appeared behind Emerald, with her hands glowing purple. "Emerald! Look out!" Arkyana said to Emerald. This made Emerald turn around, right as El grabbed her shoulders, and dug her fingers into Emerald's shoulders. This made Emerald groan in pain a little. Then El let go and pulled her hands away from Emerald. As she did, everyone noticed the tip of her fingers was red and fall thin red strings came out of Emerald.

"I believe this is more your level." El said to everyone, as she waved her hands and moved her fingers. That's when Emerald started to run around the place attacking everyone.

"Em! What's the matter with you?!" Arkayna asked Emerald, as she used her staff to block Emeralds attacks. "I don't know. My body is moving on its own." Emerald said to Arkayna, before kicking Arkayna in the gut and jumping back.

"Not on its own. While my father likes things loud, I like things subtle. You'd be surprised how one person or little thing can change everything. So I choose to be smart. Say the right things, and you can make them do anything. Just like I did with Tazma. And if words fail, then, well you can see what I can do. I can make them move as I need them too. With these claws of mine, I can make anyone my puppet, and have them set in motion my goals. But I prefer talking first, after all forcing people isn't something me or my father likes to do." El said to Arkayna, as she made Emerald.

"In that case. Let her go and fight us yourself!" Daiki said to El. "Are you sure you want to fight me? After all, you're having enough trouble with it just being me. Wouldn't you rather just face your teammate?" El asked Daiki. "If you were really that good, then you wouldn't need to hide behind Emerald." Mika said to El, as she stood next to Daiki.

"Hide you say. Now I'm insulted. But if you want a fight. Then let's settle this with just our Pokemon. I'll use one, and face both of you and your Pokemon at the same time." El said to Daiki and Mika, as she turned off her purple glow and freed Emerald. "No, I'll fight you. After what you did. I'm going to put a stop to you." Arkayna said to El, as she moved to Mika and Daiki, with Charizard, Venusaur, and Quaquaval moved in front of their partners.

"In that case. It'll be a three vs one match. Win you get the book. Lose and I get to do whatever I want with it." El said to Arkayna. "I don't know about this. Who knows what…" Daiki said, but was interrupted by Arkayna. "You're on!" Arkayna said to El. "Glad to hear that. Gengar, keep the rest of them away from the fight. Houndstone come on out." El said to everyone, as she opened one of her Pokeballs.

From the pokeball came out a large dog like creature, with long white hair covering its body wit the top of it's head and back being purple, had skeleton legs and large claws, a tiny done tail, a very long bone mouth, no visible eyes, and a tombstone with 3 lines on its head. "Say hello to my girl Houndstone." El said to everyone.

"A what? It's creepy." Arkayna said, grossed out. "How dare you! Houndstone, the Ghost Dog Pokemon, a Ghost Type. Houndstone spends most of its time sleeping in graveyards. Among all the dog Pokemon, this one is most loyal to its master. Which means she has no problem when I tell her to use Crunch!" El said to everyone.

"Houndstone." Houndstone said, as she charged at Quaquaval, with her teeth becoming long and glowed white. Houndstone then bit into Quaquaval's leg, and started to shake her head, tossing Quaquaval around like a rag doll.

"Charizard use Flamethrower." Mika said to Charizard. "Charizard." Charizard said, as he let out a steam of fire. Houndstone noticed this, and threw Quaquaval at the fire, blocking the fire. "That was a scum move." Emerald said to El. "Maybe but it works." El said to Emerald.

"Venusaur, tie her down with Leech Seed." Daiki said to Venusaur. "Venusaur." Venusaur said, as he fired seeds at Houndstone. "Houndstone use Dig." El said to Houndstone. "Houndstone." Houndstone said, as she dug into the ground, dodging the seeds.

"Quaquaval, keep an eye out and use Low Sweep when she starts to get popped out of the ground." Arkayna said to Quaquaval. "Arkayna and Quaquaval, no!" Daiki said to them.

But they didn't listen, and noticed the ground starting to move. "Quaquaval." Quaquaval said, as she got low and swung his leg at the moving ground. That's when Houndstone's tombstone popped out of the ground, and Quaquaval kicked it, and the tombstone was stronger than Quaquaval's leg, which made Quaquaval pull back her leg and roll around in pain.

"When a Houndstone pops out of the ground, its tombstones are the first thing to come out of the ground." Daiki said to Arkayna. "You could have told me sooner." Arkayna said to Daiki. "I tried." Daiki said to Arkayan. "Will you stop fighting each other and fight us? Houndstone use Last Respects." El said to everyone.

"Houndstone." Houndstone said, as purple energy burst out from the ground under Houndstone. Houndstone then charged at Quaquaval. "Venusaur, block her." Daiki said to Venusaur. "Venusaur." Venusaur said, as he got over Quaquaval, and took the attack. And while it did hurt, Venusaur didn't move.

"Now Venusaur use Petal Blizzard." Daiki said to Venusaur. "Venusaur." Venusaur said, as he fired a flurry of petals from his flower. The petals forced Houndstone back, and dealt a little damage to her.

"Now we're cooking. Charizard, show them your power with Dragon Breath." Mika said to Charizard. "Charizard." Charizard said, as he let out a surge of teal energy.

"Houndstone, counter that with Tera Blast." El said to Houndstone. "Houndstone." Houndstone said, as she fired a ball of multi-color sparkles. The sparkles crashed into the teal energy, and it snuffed both attacks out.

"Now this is starting to be good. So let's kick it up a notch." El said, as she spun her black leather band, making the Terastal Orb turn to her. El then pulled out the Terastal Orb, and held it up, gathering sparkles in it. "Let go Houndstone." El said, throwing the Terastal Orb. The Terastal Orb hit Houndstone, and large crystals burst out of the ground, and encased Houndstone.

The crystal broke, and it revealed Houndstone now in a purple crystal coat, with a hat around her tombstone, the hat's base was a ring of silver tombstones, with a crystal phantom coming out of it. "What the?" Mika asked. "You just made your Pokemon shiny. That doesn't change anything. Quaquaval use…" Arkayna said to El, but was interrupted by Daiki. "Arkayna wait! Something up with that Houndstone. It's not the same as before." Daiki said to everyone.

"Ding ding. Daiki gets a point, and your reward for getting it right. A Last Respects to your Venusaur. Hit it Houndstone!" El said to everyone. "Houndstone." Houndstone said, as purple energy burst out from the ground under Houndstone. Houndstone then charged at Venusaur, and this time, when Houndstone hit Venusaur, Venusaur slid back a couple of feet.

"See. I know something was up." Daiki said to everyone. "Who cares, Quaquaval use Aqua Cutter." Arkayna said to Quaquaval. "Quaquaval." Quaquaval said, as she kicked, and fired a few water blades. But Houndstone jumped back and dodged the water blades.

"Venusaur, trap her with Petal Blizzard." Daiki said to Venusaur. "Venusaur." Venusaur said, as he fired a flurry of petals. The petals surrounded Houndstone.

"Charizard try Dragon Breath again." Mika said to Charizard. "Charizard." Charizard said, as he got ready to let out a burst of teal energy.

"Houndstone, stop him with Crunch." El said to Houndstone. "Houndstone." Houndstone said, as she ran through the petals, and charged at Charizard, as her teeth became longer and glowed white. Houndstone then bit into Charizard's neck, forcing Charizard to stop his attack, and roar in pain.

"She's distracted. Quaquaval use Aqua Step." Arkayna said to Quaquaval. "Quaquaval." Quaquaval said, as she charged at a Houndstone, as she ran her feathers popped out of her tail feathers and floated around her back like a fan. Then as Quaquaval started to spin around water came out of her fathers. Houndstone noticed Quaquaval charging at her, and let go of Charizard and jumped away. This made Quaquaval hit Charizard, and glowed red, after she hit Charizard.

"Venusaur try to trap Houndstone with Petal Blizzard again." Daiki said to Venusaur. "Venusaur." Venusaur said, as he let a lot more petals, trying to trap Houndstone. And this time, the petals were hurting Houndstone, so Houndstone wasn't moving that much. "Why do you keep using Petal Blizzard?" Arkayna asked Daiki. "It's the only attack I have. I'm doing the best I can here." Daiki said to Arkayna

"I guess I'll take care of this. Quaquaval use Aqua Cutter again." Arkayna said to Quaquaval. "And Charizard help with Flamethrower." Mika said to Charizard. "Quaquaval/Charizard." Quaquaval and Charizard said, as Quaquaval kicked a water blade, and Chariazard let out a steam of fire.

All the water and fire attack headed for Houndstone. But that's when Houndstone started to dig, freeing herself from the petal. Then all the attacks collided and when the smoke and steam cleared, everyone noticed Houndstone was gone.

"Houndstone use Last Respects." El said. That's when a purple burst of energy burst out of the ground. This preceded Houndstone, who came bursting out of the ground, and rammed into Charizard.

But Charizard grabbed Houndstone, keeping her from running away. "Great work Charizard, now use Air Slash." Mika said to Charizard. "Charizard." Charizard said, as he whipped his wings, firing wind blades. The wind bladed slammed into Houndstone's sides, and forced her back, after Charizard let her go.

"That was smart. Houndstone show them Tera Blast." El said to Houndstone, as Houndstone shook off Charizard's last attack. "Houndstone." Houndstone said, as dark purple energy flowed around her hat. The dark purple energy became four purple wisp. Three of the wisp hit Quaquaval, Charizard, and Venusaur, and one in the middle of them.

This knocked Quaquaval, Charizard, and Venusaur back a little. "How was that Tera Blast? It was a different move last time?" Mika asked El. "Tera Blast is a move that changes when the Pokemon terastallized. Normally it's a Normal Type move. But now it's a Ghost Type move." El said to everyone.

"What kind of power is that?" Arkayna asked El. "A fun kind. Here, try it." El said to Arkayna, tossing her, Mika, and Daiki a Terastal Orb each. "You'd think we'd used any powers you give us?" Arkayna asked El.

"Honely, I don't care. But if you want this Codex Piece, then you might want to use it. After all, that Tera Blast was weaker because I made Houndstone split the attack. If all the wisp hit the same target, it's over." El said to Arkayna.

"I hate to say it. But unless we increase our power level, then we'll lose." Daiki said to everyone, as he held up his Terastal Orb. "I'm with him." Mika said, as she held up her Terastal Orb. Huffing, Arkayna held up her Terastal Orb. all three of the Terastal Orbs started gathering sparkles in it. Then they threw them, and three large crystals burst out of the ground, and encased Quaquaval, Charizard, and Venusaur.

The crystals then broke apart revealing all of them covered in a crystal coat and a fancy hat on their heads.

Charizard's crystal coat was red, and his hat looked like a red five candle candle holder, with large flame-like crystals, and the base of the hat looked like a flame.

Venusaur's crystal coat was green, and his hat was a bouquet of flowers, with a few red and blue flowers, with the flower in the middle being a big sunflower.

Lastly was Quaquaval crystal coat was silver, and her hat was a metal stomp with a giant ax in it.

"Oh I see Quaquaval turned into a Steel Type." El said to everyone. "What are you talking about?" Mika asked El.

"When a Pokemon terastallized, they become a single type, and on rare occasions a Pokemon will have a type that's not their natural type. This means Quaquaval is now a pure Steel Type. While Venusaur and Charizard lost their Poison and Flying Types, and became pure Grass and Fire. However, while Quaquaval's steel Types moves are now stronger, having the same Types as their normal forms, their Grass and Fire Moves are doubled." El said to everyone.

"That explains how Houndstone's Last Respects got stronger. She has a Ghost hat." Mika said to everyone. "It's called a Tera Type. but you get it. Now let's fight." El said to everyone.

"All right then let's see what if this helps. Charizard use Flamethrower." Mika said to Charizard. "And Venusaur use Petal Blizzard." Daiki said to Venusaur. "Charizard/Venusaur." Charizard and Venusaur said, as their hats started to glow and let out sparkles. Then Charizard let out a sparkly burst of flames, as Venusaur let out a furry of sparkly petals.

The attacks hit Houndstone, and sent Houndstone flying. Houndstone crashed near El. but got back up. "Okay that was cool." Mika said to everyone. "But this terastallize doesn't help us. Quaquaval doesn't have any Steel Type attacks." Arkayna said to everyone. "I can fix that." El said to Arkayna, as she pulled out three crystal disks.

El then threw the crystal disc at Quaquaval, Venusaur, and Charizard, and the disk shattered, and sparkles went into them. When that's when the Pokemon glowed the color of their crystal coats.

"Now you all know Tera Blast. It goes well with terastallize. And as you know it changes types to match your Tera Type." El said to everyone. "But Quaquaval is a physical user, a ranged attack like this has little help." Arkayna said to El. "Maybe without terastallize on, but while terastallize, it's now a physical Steel attack. So please stop complaining and fight!" El said to Arykayna.

"If that's what you want. Quaquaval, show us your Tera Blast." Arkayna said to Quaquaval. "Charizard/Venusaur use Tera Blast as well." Mika and Daiki said to Charizard and Venusaur.

"Quaquaval/Charizard/Venusaur." The three of them said, as their hats glowed and let out a lot of three different color and shape particles. Quaquaval hat shot out shards of silver steel. Charizard hat let out a burst of shiny flames. And Venusaur hat lets out green particles in the shape of leaves.

Quaquaval then forged metal chunks from the sparkles, and forged them into a very large iron orb, and kicked it at Houndstone, at the same time Charizard fired a massive amount of fire, and Venusaur fired a surge of light green energy.

All the attacks headed for Houndstone, and hit making a burst of silver, red, and green sparkles. When the sparkles cleared away, Houndstone was gone. "Not again." Arkayna said to everyone.

That's when Houndstone came out of the ground, and attacked Vensaur from below. This caused Venusaur to flip, and Houndstone to jump onto Venusaur belly. "Not bad, but a battle is more than just strong attacks. After all, the Queen just had strong attacks, and look how that turn out." El said to everyone, cracking a wicked smile.

This made Arkayna mad. "I don't care if this comes from you. I'm going to make you pay for those words. Quaquaval use Tera Blast!" Awkayna said to Quaquaval. "Quaquaval." Quaquaval said, as her hats glowed and let out silver sparkles. Quaquaval then forged metal chunks from the sparkles, and forged them into a very large iron orb, and kicked it at Houndstone.

That's when Houndstone jumped into the ground and started to dig, dodging the iron orb. But doing that made Venusaur take the hit instead, and his eyes turned into swirls.

"You miss." El said to Arkayna, as Houndstone came out of the ground in front of Charizard. "We won't this time. Quaquaval use Tera Blast again!" Arkayna said to Quaquaval.

"Quaquaval." Quaquaval said, as her hats glowed and let out silver sparkles. Quaquaval then forged metal chunks from the sparkles, and forged them into a very large iron orb, and kicked it at Houndstone. But again Houndstone dug into the ground, and dodged the attack, this caused Charizard to take the hit from the Tera Blast.

Charizard was still conscious, but was laying on his back. That's when Houndstone popped out of the ground, and stood on top of Charizard, taunting Quaquaval by shaking her tail at Quaquaval. "You tell them Houndstone." El said to Houndstone, as she joined and shook her butt at Arkayna.

"Quaquaval use Tera Blast! And keep using it until we stop her and her Pokemon!" Arkayan said to Quaquaval. "Quaquaval?" Quaquaval asked Arkayna. "Just do it. It'll work." Arkayna said to Quaquaval. "Quaquaval?" Quaquaval said, not thinking this was a good idea but did it anyway.

"Quaquaval." Quaquaval said, as her hats glowed and let out silver sparkles. Quaquaval then forged metal chunks from the sparkles, and forged them into a very large iron orb, and kicked it at Houndstone.

Houndstone then lunged forward, and into the earth. This made Charizard take the full force of the attack, and made Charizard's eyes turn into swirls.

"Stop running. You can't hope to bet us by just running away." Arkayna said to El. "Considering you took out your friends yourself. I can bet you by just running away." El said to Arkayna. That's when Arkayna noticed Charizard and Venusaur were out cold.

"Maybe now you'll see. That if you rush things in worry or anger. You'll always lose. If you'd have kept a cool head and worked with your team. You may have won. But now you lose. Hounstone use Dig!" El said to Arkyana and Houndstone.

"Houndstone!" Houndstone said, as she dug. Houndstone then burst out of the ground right in front of Quaquaval. Houndstone then lunged out of the earth and slammed into Quaquaval, forcing Quaquaval onto her back, with Houndstone on her.

Then Houndstone jumped back and off Quaquaval, and into the air. "NOW TERA BLAST!" El yelled to Houndstone. "HOUNSTONE!" Hounstone yelled, as her hat glowed and let out purple sparkles. The purple sparkles became four purple wisp, and he headed towards Quaquaval, but three of the four of the wisp moved to Arkayna, Mika, and Daiki.

Then all the wisp exploded, and sent Arkayna, Mika, Daiki, and Quaquaval flying. All of them crashed onto the ground hard and groaned a little. "Ooh. That's gotta hurt." Zarya said, as everyone else just flinched and had hurt looks on their faces.

El then walked to Arkayna, Mika, and Daiki, and kneeled down to them. "You three did well for your first time using Terastal. But you still lost. So I get to do whatever I want with the codex piece. And what I want to do is this." El said to them, dropping the Codex piece next to Arkayna. "Why are you giving us the Codex piece?" Mika asked El.

"Why, well, I want you to get stronger, for what reason, that's a secret. But given that you two didn't get anything. It's only fair if I give you and Daiki these." El said to Mika, as she pulled out a light blue and pink leather band that looked like her leather band only without a Key Stone, A Z-ring, core of a Dynamx band, and a Terastal Orb in it. El then gave the pink one to Mika, and the light blue one to Daiki.

"These will help you hold your Terastal Orb on you." El said to Mika and Daiki. "As for you Arkayna. I am truly sorry for what happened to your parents. Like I said, what happened to them wasn't my goal." El said to Arkayna, before standing up.

"Ganger, Houndstone, we're leaving." El said to Ganger and Houndstone. "Ganger/ Houndstone." The two of them said, as they moved to El's sides. "Just who are you?" Arkayna asked El, as she and the other got up.

"Like I said, I'm El. And I'm whatever I want to be. I wonder what I will be next time we meet, a friend, a spectator, or maybe an enemy. We'll just have to wait and see what choice you all make and what I feel like doing. See you all later." El said to Arkayna, before she, Ganger, and Houndstone, disappeared into the shadows.

Once Arkayna grabbed the book, the Dragon Bracer appeared in her right arm and glowed green now. Arkayna then raised her arm, and the Dragon Bracer fired, exploding into a burst of energy in the shape of a dragon.

Astromancers HQ

The next morning everyone, minus Abyss and Twilight, was in the Astromancers chamber talking about events of the last night, with Mika and Daiki wearing the light blue and pink leather band on their left wrist, with the Terastal Orbs in them, and Arkayna's Terastal Orb was in a bag attached to her belt.

"Thank you for bringing this to my attention, young Malvaron. Tazma let her ambition lead her down the path of darkness. I have reserved word about this before. But believe them to be false. I see now I was wrong." Nova Terron said to Malvaron, with a normal voice, while looking at Tazma's empty set.

"Your voice is awesome." Piper said to Nova Terron in a very loud voice. This made everyone slap a hand into their face. "Is something wrong with my voice?" Nove Terron asked Piper, as his voice got squeaky then deep. Everyone then said some kind of denial at the same time.

"Your training must continue, which means you will need a new Solon." Nova Terron said to everyone. "I'll do it." Mavlaron said to Nova Terron, stepping forward. "They saved my life. But I'm going to need an assistant or two." Malvaron said to Nova Terron, looking at Doug and Dedenne, making them gasp.

"Oh, I love you, man!" Doug said to Malvaron, hugging Malvaron, and crushing him a little. "Uh, what I meant was, we accept." Doug said, letting go of Malvaron. "Dedenne." Dedenne said, agreeing with Doug.

"While I purge the academy of any more traitors, you must begin your quest to find the rest of the Codex. Which means you will need a base of operation. A secret stronghold." Nova Terron said to everyone. "I know the perfect place." Emerald said to everyone.

Royal Tower

The place Emerald thought of was some old ruins under the Royal Tower, with everyone back in their normal forms and the light blue and pink leather bands on Daiki and Mika still one their left wrist.

"This is the old palace?" Arkayna asked Emerald, as she used a spell to make a bright light. "Technically, it's the old old palace. An earthquake destroyed it, they built a palace over it, then another palace over that." Emerald said to Arkayna. "How do you not know that? Is it your house's history?" Daiki asked Arkayna.

"Like you know your house history?" Arkayna asked Daiki. "Yes I do. It's my job to know my home." Daiki said to Arkayna. "Well this will be our home now. So pick your room and get some sleep. Training starts tomorrow at 0500." Malvarom said to everyone, as he took a seat on an old fountain. This made everyone nervous.

"Actually, make that noon." Malvaron said to everyone, as he started to relax. "I like how you think." Doug said, as he and Empoleon joined Malvaron on the fountain. Then Dedenne joined them, and the floor gave way, making all of them fall down a story.

"You guys okay?" Mika asked Malvaron and Doug, as everyone got worried. "We're good!" Doug yelled. "We may need to redecorate." Malvaron said to everyone.

That's when Arkayna pulled everyone in for a selfie. "Say "Mysticons"." Arkayna said to everyone. "Mysticons!" everyone said, as Arkayna took the selfie. When the selfie came through, they noticed El was in the back of the picture, with closed eyes.

"Oh! I blinked. Can we try again." A female voice said from behind them. This made everyone jump forward, turned into their Mysticon form, and turned to see El standing behind them. "What are you doing here!?" Arkayna asked El, ready to attack. "I'm here to give you some housewarming gifts. First this plant." El said, before pulling out a pot with tulips in it.

"Uh… thanks. Just put it anywhere." Mika said to El. El then said nothing and threw the pot behind her, and it smashed against a wall, and broke the wall as well. "Well now we gotta clean that up." Daiki said.

"I also bought these for you all." El said as she pulled out 36 Pokeballs and 36 belt attachments. 6 of the Pokeballs where Friend ball, 6 of the Pokeballs where Luxury Ball, 6 of the Pokeballs where Quick Balls, 6 of the Pokeballs where Heavy Ball, 6 of the Pokeballs where Timer Balls, 6 of the Pokeballs where Heal Balls.

El then waved her hands, and made the belt clips fly onto the Mysticons belts, with each getting six belt attachments. Then El made 30 of the Pokeballs float onto the Mysticons belt clicking into the new attachments.

Arkayna got 5 of the 6 Luxury Balls. Zayra got 5 of the 6 Quick Balls. Piper got 5 of the 6 Friend Balls. Emerald got 5 of the 6 Heavy Balls. Daiki got 5 of the 6 Timer Balls. And Mika got 5 of the 6 Heal Balls.

The last of the Luxury Ball, Quick Ball, Friend Ball, Heavy Ball, Timer Ball, and Heal Ball floated around El. "Consider these six your Pokeballs. It should help with moving your Pokemon around." El said to everyone. "And how do they work?" Piper asked El.

El then held out her hand, sending the pokeballs flying at their Pokemon. The pokeballs hit them, and open making the Pokemon glow red and get sucked into them, with Quaquaval going into the Luxury Ball, Cinderace going into the Quick Ball, Blaziken going into the Friend Ball, Incineroar going into the Heavy Ball, Venusaur going into the

Timer Ball, and Charizard going into the Heal Ball.

The Pokeballs shook three times before clicking. El then made the Pokeballs float onto their partner's belt. "Like that, only without all the floating. Well I'm out. See you later." El said to everyone, as she started to leave. "Oh!" El said, snapping her fingers, before stopping and turning around.

"I'm only giving you each the six Pokeballs you have on you. So be careful with them, and sometimes the Pokeballs don't work and fail. When that happens, they break. So if you want a Pokemon to join your team try befriending them, it helps. Until next time Mysticons." El said to everyone, with a cocky smile on her face, before disappearing in a shadow.
