My New Beginning: Part 3

Chapter 21 Hello Twins

-Somewhere in Dreamland-

I recognized the same forestry area whenever Katherine would appear to me. I got hopeful.

"Katherine! Sweetheart!"

A little girl and a boy about the age of ten appeared from behind a tree. One had long blonde wavy locks with green eyes, and the other had short brown hair with brown eyes. I sat down on the fallen log smiling.

"Hi Mommy," they said at the same time.

I was in tears, and the kids ran up to me. "Mommy, it's okay."

"Are you alright?"

"Sorry if we made you cry."

I nodded and motioned for them to come to me.

They sat down on each side of me, and I took a hand in both of my hands. "I am crying happy tears my little ones. I am so happy that I get to see you two finally."

The brown haired boy rested his head on my shoulder, "We felt you and Ma feeling very sad because of what happened to Sissy."

"So, we wanted to be with you while you sleep," the blonde-haired girl said as she too rested her head on my shoulder.

"We wanted you to relax."

I kissed the top of each one's head. "I have a question to ask you two. When the shadow creatures almost took Katherine, did you bring me to her before I had a chance to do it?"

The twins smiled and nodded. I rubbed my thumb across the top of my little girl and little boy's hands and smiled. "So your Ma and I were thinking about your names. We both agreed that you, my dear son, your name is Michael."

"I like it, Mommy. I like it a lot!" Michael got up and hugged me.

The girl hugged me with a smile on her face then I continued looking her, "I haven't told Ma yet, but I want to name you Hope."

"I like it, and I know Ma will love it." Hope replied.

The twins looked up and smiled.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "What?"

"It's Ma," Hope said, "She has her hand on your tummy."

Michael chimed in, "We feel her warm touch, and both of your magic helps us grow magically."

I smiled, and a tear escaped without my permission. "I love you both so much."

"We love you, too," Hope said and concluded, "It's time for you to go back. Ma needs you."

Michael added, "We are going to help, but we are limited since we used a lot of magic to do this."

They kissed me and darkness took over.

-Katherine's Room, Storybrooke General Hospital-

Emma slowly slid her way under the covers to our sofa bed to not disturb me. Emma placed her hand on my swollen belly and smiled when she felt the twins move to her touch. I placed my hand on hers and she looked to see me awake smiling at her.

Emma was now kicking herself. "Regina, babe, I'm so sorry if I woke you up. I didn't mean to."

"You did no such thing," Regina reassured her, "I woke up on my own accord. I have something to tell you."

"What?"

I smiled. "The twins graced me with their presence in my dream just like Katherine did."

Emma was beaming with joy. "Really? Who do they look like?"

"Our little girl looks just like you and our boy looks just like me," I smiled and cupped my wife's face in my hand, "I came up with names for the twins if you want to hear it."

"Of course," Emma intertwined our fingers and I said, "Our baby girl's name is Hope and our boy…"

Emma had a tear escape the corner of her eye, "Michael. I love them, and I love you."

"I love you, too, dear."

Emma kissed my lips so tenderly and took me into an embrace where sleep took us both.
