What if Darkstalker had never captured and killed his father, Prince Arctic? This story starts where Prince Arctic's story originally ended: in the middle of a rescue mission... and a kidnapping... and a possible betrayal of an entire tribe. (Inspired by Wings of Fire Legends: Darkstalker and the short story "Runaway" from The Winglets Quartet.)

After Darkstalker's reign everything seems back to normal. Until Qibli goes missing. Join the jade winglet on their quest to find Qibli! While coming to sit under a tree, he meets someone who looks exactly like the one dragon whom his heart yearns for. But this new Nightwing, Nightflyer is able to form a connection with the former Icewing prince.
