The next couple of weeks were hectic, the least to say. Mika and Bose had to get used to their new schedule and it was difficult to keep up with the routine, after all, they'd only had one set of rotations they'd been following since Isadora was born. Bose's house wasn't in walking distance so he woke up early to pick Isadora up from Mika's place before she would head to work for the rest of the day, but of course, Bose thought she was going to school.

Bose wanted to suggest that this schedule change would be easier if Isadora could spend some of the nights at his place when he didn't have work in the afternoon, so at least that way he didn't have to wake up too early to come get her every day and Mika could get a goodnight's sleep. However, he remembered that was what caused an argument between them last time so he just put up with it.

Mika was working the night shift which was always the busiest time. "Order for table six," Mika rang the bell on the counter. She put her notepad down and dusted off her apron before taking a tray of drinks from the counter and reading the note that said table one.

There were people up and about so Mika had to be careful not to drop the drinks and it didn't help that table one was shouting at her to be careful with their drinks. When Mika got to the table she heard them grumble about how she took forever. Mika smiled politely and apologized, she didn't mean the apology whatsoever.

Mika had been on her feet for eight long hours with nothing but a pathetic fifteen-minute break. She was exhausted and couldn't wait to go home to her baby. "Booth number three is waiting," Her co-worker Lana called to her. "On it," Mika grabbed her notepad but halted when she saw the group of young men.

It was Owen Flynn and his entourage, every time they came in here Mika swore she was in her own personal hell. Owen and his friends were a bunch of lowlife jerks who swore supremacy on how much money and status they had. They'd had it out for her ever since she started working at the diner because she rejected Owen's vulgar and inappropriate comments about wanting to sleep with her.

Mika desperately looked around for another waiter who could possibly take this one but they were all busy. So she sucked it up and put on her toughest front.

The table was rowdy as usual but shimmered down due to Owens's request when Mika made her way over.

"Hey foxy," Owen winked and flash what he thought was a dashing smile.

"What's your order?" Mika asked in a monotone. One of his friends was about to start ordering but Owen shut them down.

"Woah, no convo today? Come on, Mika you're so much more interesting than Lana, i like when my women play hard to get," Owen deeply sighed. Mika dropped her arms and gave him a blank stare, "What do you want?" Owen smirked. "Service with a smile," he replied, then gave it another thought," or service with your mouth wide open,".

His friends started chuckling and Mika regretted not hiding in the back until they were gone. "With a dick as small as yours you better be rich," Mika rebutted. Owen's entourage reacted to Mika's insult with a hoot when Owen shot them warning glances.

However, the asshole wickedly smiled at her, "You sure you don't wanna give me your number?I could fix that attitude of yours,"

"You wouldn't know what to do with a good girl if you had one," Mika foretold.

"You're not a good girl, that's why I want your number," Owen claimed.

Mika glared at him as her cheeks started to burn up from embarrassment. Owen gave her a heads up daring her to say more. Mika shook her head, "Fuck this shit," and walked away from the table and into the back room. Mika would have loved to staple his balls to his seat but the manager wouldn't be too happy if their highest paying customer was harmed in his diner.

Mika didn't realize she had been crying until she walked into the freezer and felt a strain of tears cold on her face. She quickly wiped them away, she didn't have enough time in the day for crying anymore, especially over someone who didn't wasn't worth it. Mika reached for the frozen hamburgers before leaving the freezer.

She thought about how if Bose was there, Owen wouldn't have gotten past his first vowel. Bose could definitely kick Owens's ass, Bose was way bigger than Owen in more ways than one Mika could proudly state.

After a long peaceful day with Adora, Bose got ready to bring her back home to Mika. He pouted having to wake her up from her nap because she was the perfect image of innocence. Bose put Isadora's outing clothes on and gathered her necessity bag. "You ready to leave sweet face?" Bose picked her up from his bed where she had been playing with his phone.

Bose lounged the bag over his shoulder and made his way downstairs with Isadora. "Hey Mom, Willard, I'm going to drop Isadora off," He claimed getting his keys from the hangers. "Wait! Gam gam needs a goodbye kiss," Ceila made her way to the father and daughter giving Isadora a fat kiss on the forehead. Before she could pull away Adora reached her small hands out to give Ceila a sloppy kiss on the nose. Ceila gushed and wished them goodbye.

Bose called to check in with Mika before bringing Adora to the Macklin house. Mika sounded somewhat in distress when she told that she wouldn't be home in time. Bose offered to pick her up from her class but of course, Mika quickly rejected it. However, Mika understood that Bose had work in the morning and needed to get some rest. So she told him that Miles was at the house and he would watch after the baby until she got home.

Bose was glad to see Miles when he opened the door. They didn't see each other as often as before, there just wasn't enough time in the day with everything going on in their personal lives. Miles had just gotten back from his outing.

Miles let Bose and Isadora as they gave each other a quick rundown of what's been going on in each other's lives. Miles told Bose that he was going to hit the shower fast and if he wouldn't mind watching Isadora for a moment. Bose agreed because he was grateful to Miles for even being able to look after Isadora for them, it probably wasn't even in his plans tonight anyways.

Bose went upstairs to Mika's room to get Isadora settled. She babbled just to hear herself and he responded to the child like he understood every word she said.

When Bose walked into Mika's room he could see she was in a rush this morning. Her PJs were on the floor, the closet wide open with clothes tossed around, the bed unmade, and her nightstand had many empty water bottles. Unlike Adora's side of the room which Mika kept tidy and clean. Bose wasn't used to seeing her room so messy, but she cut her some slack.

Bose took Adora's clothes off, made sure her diaper was fresh, and dressed her in some lighter clothes.

Bose noticed that the baby monitor that he purchased for him and Mika was under her bed unopened. He remembered that he was supposed to help her set it up but it slipped both of their minds. Bose figured while he was here he might as well set it up as he and Adora continued their conversation.

The baby monitor was a hefty price but Bose deemed it worthy because it was very accessible. The device came with a pro camera, a wall mount, and a breathing sensor, and was designed to capture milestones. It worked both ways because the main device would be in Mika's room, considering that's was Adora's primary environment, and the transmitter would in his room.

Miles came into Mika's room shortly after he was done and told Bose he could take it from there. Bose thanked Miles and wished Isadora goodbye one last time before heading to his car and going back home. His thoughts wandered to Mika like always.
