Time is running out for the middle Holmes sibling, and doubt begins to flourish if the only way she'll be found is as another victim.

Mycroft has a kid. In a characteristically Mycroft manner, he shipped them off rather quickly, being the absentee parent we all expected him to be. When they started to show signs of genius and started getting into trouble with the law, he recruited them to a very powerful position in MI6. After some recent trouble, Mycroft has sent said kid to attempt to keep Sherlock in line.
