In this Story Hiccup will be 16 when he meets Toothless. There will be no HiccupxAstrid. And it will be a /DarkHiccup story. So if you dont like that, don´t read it. Rated MA.

Prologue

Hiccup is a 16-years old boy who lives on the island of Berk. He´s wearing a green long sleeved shirt with a brown belt around it. Over his shirt he´wearing a brown fur vest. He has brown pants and brown fur boots. His hair is slightly untamed and is auburn colored. He´s got green eys and a few freckless in his face.

Hiccup was the son of Stoick the Vast, Chief of the Hooligan tribe of Berk. His mother Valka was killed in a Dragon Raid when Hiccup was only 5-years old. He and his father never had a good relationship after the death of his mother. Stoick never really cared about Hiccup and only looked at him with disappointment and emberassment. Stoick was build like most Vikings on Berk. Big, Tall with beefy arms and a fairly burly build. Hiccup was not like that. He was always smaller, weaker and skinnier build. That was just one of the many reasons Hiccup and Stoick didnt get along well.

The only thing Hiccup was above anyone else in his Village was, he´s the smartest of all of them. He always worked on inventions to try and help him gain respect among his tribe. Unfortunately for him most of his inventions failed and destroyed parts of his village or hurt some of the Villagers. That only added more points at being despised from his tribesman.

Then there were the teens. The only 5 people who were around his age on Berk. Those consisted of the twins, Ruffnut and Tuffnut Thorston. These two were not really the brightest people and loved to play pranks or creat destruction. most of the time they helped Snotlout with beating up Hiccup or holding him down for Snotlout to do it. The next one is Sontlout Jorgenson, he is Hiccups Cousin and his most persistent tormenter. He never misses a Chance to beat Hiccup up or to call him names. He also came up with them most known nickname for Hiccup, Hiccup the Useless. Then there was Fishlegs Ingerman. He was the tallest and biggest of all teens. He was the second smartest person in Berk after Hiccup. He likes to read and ramble random Dragonfacts. The only reason he isn´t bullied like Hiccup was because he´s built like a normal viking. Then there was the last one, the leader of the teens. Astrid Hofferson. She was the best of the teens in fighting. Snotlout is always flirting with her wich always ends up with an injured Snotlout. She didn´t really bully Hiccup but she always ignored him except for when she needs her axe sharpend. There were few times when she was included in the bullying, but only when she almost got injured because of some of his inventions.

Hiccup used to be friend with all of them but when they saw that Hiccup wasn´t build like them they abondond him and started making fun of hime because of that. He had a crush on Astrid for a long time but that vanished when she was starting to participate in the bullying or hit him. But since his mother died no one really wanted to do anything with Hiccup and they all started to call him names or treat him like trash or runt (After all thats what his name meant).

There were two people who didn´t bullied Hiccup and always treated him nice.

The first one was Gobber the Belch, the Blacksmith of Berk. Hiccup was his apprentice since he was 6-years old, he was thaught how to sharpen, repair and rebalance weapons. When he got 9-years old he was shown how to forge weapons and since then he made most of the weapons on Berk but never got aknowledged. Gobber always treat him nice and joked around with him. He knew of the bullying but couldn´t really do much about it. Gobber was like a father figure for Hiccup.

The second person was Gothi, the village healer. She was the oldest and wisest on Berk. She never talked (no one knows why) and thaught Hiccup how to tend to wounds since he almost got "injured" every day. She talked through skribbiling with her staff and there are only two people on Berk who could read it. They were Hiccup and Gobber.

Hiccup sometimes thought about suicide but never tried since he always thought that one day his father would be proud of him.

Hiccup is lays in his bed and thinks to himself ´One more miserable day over, maybe tomorrow it will be better.´ He groans as he drags a hand over his face and sighs: " Who am I kidding, it never will be better. One more try and if that doesn´t help I don´t know what will. ... just one sign from the gods that I am not worthless." With that he rolled to the side and let sleep take him.

Little did he know that this night is gonna change everything for him, just not in the way he expected.
