Chapter 1
A raven haired girl lay her sleep, tossing and turning in her sleep. She began to see images of the events that took place over a thousand years ago. She found herself floating above a wooded area with what seemed to be ancient ruins in the middle of the trees. Before she could figure out where she was, she could see explosions of light in the sky followed by booming shockwaves that shook the ground below. She held her hands up, protecting her face from any debris or to brace herself for the shockwave. However, it seemed to pass right through her body.
Her body was not solid, in fact it was like she was doing an astral projection. "This is a vision? Or is this a dream?" She silently questioned then began to look where the source of all the commotion was coming from. She saw what seemed to be four demons and a fifth creature fighting them. The four transformed into human like figures in armor, as did the other, but all she could see of the fifth one, was a shadow like figure. In a flash of light, the four clashed directly into the other.
A blinding light covered everything, Rei's eyes squinted shut being unable to see through it. The light slowly began to fade, however, what she now saw before her was an entirely different scenario. She was no longer above a forest or ruins, but now above a present day city. This city was so desolate and void of any living creature. though. Her eyes widened in fear and shock at the sight before her. The entire city was on fire and filled with smoke, there wasn't any signs of life. "No…what does this mean?" She gasped, covering her mouth with her hand. Her eyes began to tear up seeing this premonition. "Is this what is to come? How is this to be avoided?!"
Before she could ask another question, the four demons crashed down before her in pillars of light. A dragon, a phoenix, a white tiger, and a large tortoise stood before her, then began to glow, shrinking down in size. They had transformed into four small jewels, a blue dragon head with red eyes, an orange phoenix with wings spread, a white tiger with green eyes and black stripes, and the other became the shape of a tortoise shell, dark green in color. Her eyes widened, knowing what these were.
"Are those the four gods from Asian mythology?! What are you trying to tell me?!" She called out yet again, they began to change shape. Now stood before her four suits of armor. One was white in shape with black stripes and a tiger head on the chest piece. The second was dark green with a tortoise head on the chest piece and onyx eyes. The third was a blue armor with a dragon head and ruby eyes. Finally, the fourth armor was crimson red with sapphire blue eyes.
A dark figure then appeared before her, the body seeming to be a humanoid type shape, but claws at the end of the fingers, wings like that of a dragon, piercing red eyes, the figure seemed to be shadowed out so she wasn't able to see physical details completely. The creature charged a large ball of black energy in its hands pointed at the four then blasted them into dust. However, this part of the vision seemed to be different from the rest she witnessed.
It turned towards her slowly, the eyes narrowed, as if focusing its glance towards something, it was her. "So, you can see me? I can see you as well…" The figure licked its lips then smirked, showing fangs. "Interesting…it would seem your lovely body is filled with spiritual energy…what a delightful treat indeed." Its voice full of interest, the figure laughed slightly as it raised a hand. It snapped its fingers as a wave of destruction wiped out everything in her dream. The blast had consumed her in a flash of light and debris. Rei awoke, gasping for air in shock. The sweat dripped from her face as she frantically looked around the room and over her body. Breaking the silence, the sound of her alarm clock echoed throughout the room. She looked over and shakily hit the snooze button.
"Was that vision real?" As the raven haired girl questioned, she turned to look at her communicator and transformation pen sitting next to her on the nightstand. "Please, don't be a new threat. We're just now starting to be able to enjoy normal lives…" She trailed off, then shook her head. There wasn't near enough information yet to go telling everyone and causing alarm. Besides, with all the insanity they've faced, it could just be some bad nightmare. Though with how her visions turned out, as unlikely as it may be, it still was plausible.
She slowly moved herself from bed and began to get ready for classes, pushing the thoughts and worries of what she saw to the back of her mind for now. Sometimes it was a pain going to a different school than the others, especially in these scenarios. If anything were to happen, it took so much more effort to get everyone grouped up and ready. Or if something were to happen where she needed help, it took more time till back up could arrive.
"I'm off grandpa. I'll see you later!" She called out, putting shoes on then heading out the door. A gentle breeze ran through the trees, her long black silky hair waved as she brushed some from her face. She began her descent down the stairs of the shrine to the sidewalk below.
~Meanwhile, at Juban High School~
"We're gonna make it!" Minako, yelled down to Usagi as they ran up the stairs to try getting to class before the bell rang. Usagi was tailing right behind the other blond haired girl, her two long pigtails waving behind her.
"Yeah! We've got it this time! Things are finally changing and looking up for us!" Usagi boasted, laughing wildly as they skid on the floor, turning to go up the last flight of stairs. They both made it up to the top at the same time, however as they did, another student was walking in front of the stairway. "HEY WATCH OUT!" The two screamed out in unison, but it was too late to change trajectories. Their paths were doomed to cross with a heavy crash, the two girls rammed into this poor soul minding his own business. The three went flying into the wall, the boy smacked against the window, skidding down with the two blonds on top of him.
"Hey, that didn't actually hurt as near as badly as I thought." Minako, looked to Usagi before gasping, wide eyed. She finally realized why their landing wasn't as bad. The two were sitting on top of the boy they smashed into. Minako sat atop of the boy's chest and Usagi across his legs. "Oh my god are you ok?! We're so sorry!" Minako exclaimed, still sitting on top of him. Usagi jumped up and bowed towards him.
"We were running late and didn't watch where we were going! Please forgive us!" She apologized.
The boy's eyes were closed, he had a satchel with his books and things inside of it that had fallen from his shoulder with a name tag attached to it. Katsuro Takahashi Age 17. He had long crimson red hair, sapphire blue eyes, athletic build, around 5'11" in height. "Ugh.." He groaned, his eyes fluttering open to see what happened. The first thing he saw was the other girl with the long hair and red bow in her hair sitting on his chest, looking down at him. He accidentally caught a glimpse of her panties and turned a bit red, looking away.
"Um, its ok. I tend to be accident prone anyways. Glad I could at least manage to save two beautiful ladies from injury." He joked flirtingly. "So, I know I'm probably comfortable, but…I kind of need to get up and get to class." He stated awkwardly to Minako, still looking away slightly due to the fact he could almost see up her skirt.
The girl blushed, her face going red. "Oh yea! Sorry!" She exclaimed, jumping up from him as he slowly rose up to his feet, grabbing his bag. He straightened his shirt up some as the bell went off through the school. "Oh no! I forgot about being late!" She yelled, panicking with Usagi as they both apologized one more time before running onto class, leaving the boy behind.
"Day one of a new school, definitely not a dull one so far. Shit. It looks like I'm late now too." The boy heaved a sigh, dusting himself off as he began to walk in the direction the other two went. "At least I can use the 'I'm new here' excuse. He continued down the hall way. Looking to some paperwork he was carrying around, he saw where his homeroom was, following the numbers above the doors till finally he reached the right one. "Here we go." He opened the door to see the two blonds being scolded by the teacher.
The two stood with their heads bowed down in shame as the man continued to lay into them about being late AGAIN. "Now please, find your seats and sit down." He pointed as the two shamefully walked from the front of the classroom to the desks, sitting down near a blue haired girl and a brunette. "If there are no more interruptions, can we please get started?" He asked then saw the red haired boy at the door. "Can I help you?" He questioned.
"Oh um, good morning sir!" The boy bowed then stood back up. "My name is Katsuro Takahashi. I'm a transfer and this is my first day. I had trouble finding the room." He laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his head.
"Ah yes, the new student. I was told we would be getting a new addition today. Well please, come in and introduce yourself then find yourself a seat." The man invited, motioning his hand to come stand in front of the class.
"Right." Katsuro agreed as he stepped in then turned to face everyone. "Hello everyone. I'm Katsuro Takahashi. I just moved to the area and definitely look forward to getting to know new people! Lets definitely get along!" He bowed before looking for an empty desk to claim. The only one available was behind Minako. He sat his things on top then slowly slid down into his seat. "It looks like we're classmates. How lucky, with a hit and run like that, I'm afraid we may need to exchange contact information for insurance purposes." Katsuro teased, breaking the ice.
"Oh no, seriously?!" Minako panicked, thinking he was serious. She wasn't always…the brightest cookie in the tool jar if you catch the drift.
"No no no. I'm just joking with you." He chuckled lightly. "But a name would be cool to know. I definitely need some people to talk to and hang with." He stated as Minako gave a sigh of relief.
"Oh good, that's a relief." The blond awkwardly laughed. "I'm Minako, Minako Aino." She turned around with a smile.
"Enough of the chit chat in the back there! I am trying to teach a class unless you two want to come up to the front and give the lecture?" The instructor stated impatiently as the two quieted down and Minako turned around to the front.
The day continued on as everyone began separating to different classes and subjects. Finally, it was lunch time and the four girls met up outside in the yard to have their meal together like they always did.
"So that new boy in class, he's pretty cute right" Makoto, the taller brunette girl teased, nudging Minako with her elbow.
"Hey quit that." She turned red. "He's just looking for some new friends and to fit in. That's all!" She looked away as the others laughed.
"Maybe you could try to get him to do a double date with you and Mamo and I." Usagi leaned in close, joining in the teasing.
"You could see what his grades are like and maybe have a study date. With everything that's gone down, I'm sure you've let your scores and grades slip." Ami stated as Minako groaned.
"I hate you all." She crossed her arms, turning away from everyone where she sat. The others continued to laugh…until everyone's communicators went off at the same time. Which could only mean one thing, Rei. Maybe she was just calling to check in and talk during lunch break? Everything was calm, and they were in a time of peace finally. Usagi grabbed her communicator out to be the one to answer. As she opened it, there was a panicked voice on the other side.
"Everyone! Please get here soon, there's an attack! I don't know what these things are but there's too many of them here at my school!" She exclaimed. "Hurry! I can't hold them by myself much longer!" With that the transmission was cut off as the four looked to one another and nodded as the stood up, looking around to make sure no one was looking.
"Mercury Crystal Power!"
"Jupiter Crystal Power!"
"Venus Crystal Power!"
"Moon Eternal!"
"MAKE UP" Everyone called out together, and in a large flash of light, they all transformed into the Sailor Senshi.
"Lets go help Rei out!" Sailor Moon exclaimed as she motioned them to follow. They then snuck their way off school grounds and took off running as fast as they could.
"Wh…Wh…WHAT WAS THAAAAAAAT?!" Katsuro exclaimed in complete utter shock, his back against a wall around the corner. He had heard them talking, then was about to ask to join before the call came in and they…they….TRANSFORMED?! He saw them leave the grounds and take off running in one direction. He looked around to see there was no one else around. He heard something about an attack, and he had seen some stuff about Sailor Moon and the others on the news and heard about them.
To think though…his classmates were them. "I've got to see this…" He quietly spoke to himself as he followed in the direction they went, sneaking off school grounds. The boy then took off running to try and catch up, just not close enough to be caught.
This was insane, what was he thinking?! This sounded like a dangerous situation to possibly be caught up in. On the other hand, what an opportunity! To see who the Sailor Senshi are and catch them in action! He wasn't really a fan or anything but he had to admit this was really cool.
After some time he saw where they were heading, to the T.A. Girls Acadamy. Another school? This was getting even more strange. He could hear yells of panicked students and what seemed to be fighting. There were blazes of flames being shot out in different directions at these strange humanoid creatures. They wore black armor, feudal era in appearance, they were black skeletons with glowing red eyes wielding different weapons. They had katanas, maces, kunai with chains, long swords, etc.
"Shadow warriors…" Katsuro growled under his breath, his facial expressions changing, appearing to know exactly what these things were. He reached into the inner pocket of his school jacket, seeming to grasp something inside. "No…not yet. Let's wait before showing myself" He said, his hand staying on the object in his pocket.
"What are these things?!" Jupiter yelled to Sailor Mars, blasting a few away with her lightning attacks.
"I don't know, they started appearing here then just targeted me!" The raven haired girl replied, blasting more away with fire as they disappeared in a burst of black mist. There was a black puddle glowing on the ground where more were climbing out of.
"There seems to be a portal over there! The enemy is crawling out of there from another location!" Sailor Mercury called out, scanning the area with her computer as data appeared onto her blue visor. Her sapphire like eyes studied the information on the screen as she stood back a ways from the fight to gather more intel on the enemy.
"Venus Love and Beauty Shock!" The blond in the orange sailor fuku kissed the palm of her hand then sent out multiple golden heart shaped energy blasts at a group of the creatures, blasting them away one by one. "There's just so many of them, and they keep coming! What are we going to do?!" She continued to blast her attack again and again.
"Silver Moon Crystal Power Therapy Kiss!" Eternal Sailor Moon called out waving her scepter around then blasting away a group of the creatures, purifying them. "I don't know if we can keep this up! Everytime we knock them down, the same amount replace them!" At that moment she was tackled from behind by three of them. As she smacked down face first on the ground, her scepter rolled away from her. "No!" She exclaimed, reaching out for it, but it was too late.
"Sailor Moon!" They all called out, turning their attention to her, and it was in that moment, the tides of the battle turned. Each of them became grouped up on, being brought to the ground by the creatures and held down forcibly. They all began to struggle to break free, then some of the creatures seemed to melt on top of them, forming binds and chains that pinned them to the ground.
Just then a large puddle formed where something else began to rise up, not like the others though. "Ah perfect. You will all provide plenty of life energy for my master to be brought back up to full power." The demon was humanoid in body form but had animalistic features. It had the head, wings and hands, or rather claws and talons of a bird, the same with the feet. It was black and red in color, with red glowing eyes. It's beak opened wide as energy began to flow off from the girls and into it, the creature was absorbing their life energy and power.
"No! Stop!" Sailor Moon cried out as she struggled to break free, her transformation began to fade in and out, as did the others. Panic began to set in as they tried to fight back and get free, then just as hope seemed to begone…
"Back off bird brain!" A voice called out as a heavy kick connected with the creature's face, it's beak being smashed shut, the bird like creature being sent backwards, skidding onto the ground before smashing into a tree. The silhouette of a person with long hair landed onto the ground. The person kneeled onto the ground, long crimson red hair covering his face. As he stood up, he slowly brushed his hair back from his face, revealing himself to be someone familiar to four of the girls.
"Katsuro…?!" Minako's eyes widened seeing the boy standing before them. How in the world did he end up here? Why would he put himself in danger like this to attack a monster?
"It would seem my suspicions were correct. Your master is up to his old dirty tricks again. He couldn't finish one job so he's trying set off and steal power somewhere else to revive himself. Just like Zeo…" He scoffed as the creature slowly stood to it's feet.
"You! But…you were all destroyed. You four all died! My master saw to it!" The creature angrily yelled, readying itself to attack.
"He saw what we wanted him to see. But I'm done with this conversation. I think its time you gave back what you just took." His tone went serious as he pulled a phoenix shaped jewel from his jacket. "Its been a while…old friend." He then held it up into the air. "Power of the Phoenix! Suzaku!" He called out as flames engulfed his body, forming a large ball around him. Pieces of red armor began flying into the ball, latching onto his body. Then with the swift slash of a sword, the flames dispersed, revealing a warrior that stood in crimson armor. The chest plate and shoulder pads shaped like the head of a phoenix. A helmet formed onto his head with the same appearance, his sapphire eyes glaring to the creature.
The creature growled angrily at him, it's eyes narrowed as puddles formed around him. "Shadow warriors! Get him! Bring him down!" The creature growled as more of the skeletal creatures rose and began to charge at Katsuro.
"Right, let's do this!" He smirked as he pulled out an orange bladed sword with the hand guard shaped like a phoenix with wings spread open, and the blade shaped like a flame, one large blade in the middle with two smaller blades, one from each side. He began to swing his sword, slashing down his enemies one by one.
Sailor Mar's eyes widened as she realized now that this was one of the four warriors in her vision. Now she knew for sure that earlier was not just a mere dream or nightmare. It was all coming true. The other four gazed on at the scene in awe, unable to do anything but to witness the events unfolding.
His sword clashed with the sword of one of the shadow warriors, he then dodged to the left and slashed backwards, dispersing it into a black mist. He then punched through another, doing the same. Then with a spin, he slashed away a group that surrounded him.
"I almost forgot, how un-hero like of me…" He trailed off smirking. "Ahem…' he cleared his throat before, putting his sword away. "Rising from the ashes, I am the warrior chosen by Suzaku! Katsaro Takahashi!" He began to make poses then punched the ground. "Blazing Phoenix!" He then jumped up, his arms getting into a battle ready stance. "Its been so long, I forgot every hero has to do their cool introduction after transforming." He smirked again as the girls jaws dropped, completely flabbergasted by how dumb it was just to drop in the middle of a battle to 'look cool'.
"Are you serious?! What the hell?!" Sailor Mars yelled angrily as the others sort of laughed nervously with small sweatdrops forming on their heads.
"Hey, don't question my process!" Katsuro yelled back to her then pulled his sword out. "I guess I should end this fast though so I can return what you stole. Fine…" He heaved a sigh as he gripped his sword tightly, lining the shadow warriors up with the creature. "Here's a message for Zeo…we're back and ready to take him on! Phoenix Wave!" He called out slashing his sword downward and smashing it into the ground. A large phoenix shaped firey energy emerged from the ground and began to race through the shadow warriors, destroying them one by one till finally it struck the bird like youma.
"Noooooo!" It yelled in pain as all the energy it stole from the girls was released from inside it, being expelled from it's mouth/beak. Their transformations solidified again as the creature was rushed through the puddle in the ground. It then disappeared. The binds that kept the girls down on the ground faded away as well.
"Whew…well there's my morning workout." Katsuro quietly stated as his transformation faded away in a flash of red light and flames. The girls slowly stood up and brushed themselves off, however they did not turn back to normal. They still did not realize that he knew the identities of at least four of them.
"Well, I suppose you all have…a lot of questions for me, don't you?" His voice was still serious but a tone that was understanding and still friendly. "I'll answer absolutely anything with 100% honesty. However, I believe a change in location would probably be for the best. There seems to be a crowd gathering." He scanned the area watching students and pedestrians that gathered to see what the commotion was all about. He held his hand up, forming a small ball of fire, smashing it to the ground to send debris and smoke everywhere. In the confusion he had vanished. There was a note laying in front of the five Senshi.
"Meet me downtown in the park…" Sailor Mars red the note quietly to the other four as they all stared and gazed at each other, still in disbelief of all that just happened.
"We definitely need answers…so I say we hear him out." Sailor Moon stated, breaking the silence.
"Right…lets go then." Sailor Venus agreed. She wanted to know more about him, it couldn't be a coincidence that some new boy transfers in today then all hell breaks loose like this. They had to be careful before trusting someone, its led to disaster far to many times.
