Angel: Hello everyone! I decided to write a Beauty and the Beast-esque story with Hunter and Lucila because I love both of these aspects. I was sad to write the end of Owl House and decided to do this because I'm not ready to let them go.

And no, I won't be taking everything from Beauty and the Beast. There's some moments where it'll be like oh, I see what she's doing and what that's a reference to. While other times it's completely different or just a small implement. For example, the dialogue will be more fitting to a modern world than the time the movie took place, but I still use a couple of lines from the film.

And tomorrow is my birthday!

Once upon a time, in a land named the Boiling Isles, a young prince lived in a shining castle. It might have seemed like he had everything his heart desired, but the prince was cold, overconfident, and egotistical. His castle had been subjected to war every day thanks to his exiled uncle, Philip Wittebane, who sought to hunt down every single witch. One winter's night, Philip had come back and struck with an army. He offered his nephew more power than he could imagine, in return that he would be welcomed back. Enraged by his offer, the prince sneered at the bargain, and turned his uncle away once more. But he warned the prince not to be deceived by witches, for in his eyes they were vile and unworthy.

And when he dismissed Phillip again, his uncle's tolerance had withered away. The prince tried to finally put an end to the war, but it was of no use. For Phillip had seen to him that there was no way to attempt to convince him otherwise. As retribution, Phillip transformed the prince into a hideous monster, and placed a powerful curse on the castle on all who lived there. Ashamed of his monstrous form, the monster concealed himself into his castle. A magic staff was his only window to the outside world.

The curse placed upon him came with limitations. It would become permanent on his 21st birthday. If the prince could learn to love another, and earn her love in return by the time his 21st birthday ended at midnight, then the curse would be broken. To end the war, only a human with natural magic was powerful enough to stop Phillip. As the years passed, he fell into despair and lost all hope...

For who could ever learn to love the Monster of the Boiling Isles?

In a town named Bonesborough, outside of the town was the Owl House, because it was in resemblance of an owl. A 16-year-old girl with hazel eyes, tan skin, and long lushed dark brown/purplish-brown hair in a ponytail was searching hard into a cabinet. She had on a white/blue/pink dress on with white flats. Her sleeves went to her elbows, while also having an apron around her waist. The girl searched in frustration for her basket while a crow hooted from outside. "LUCI!"

She bumped her head against the cabinet and crawled out, rubbing the back of her head. She heard a bell ringing and sighed as she adjusted her rounded violet glasses. "Coming!" She ran up the stairs and then down the hallway. The girl stopped in front of a door in the middle of the hall. She opened up the door to see her little sister Luz in bed, who was two years younger. She had the common mold, a disease that seemed to affect them even though on the surface, they weren't witches to the public eye.

"Can you get me my favorite book from the library please? I wanna read it so bad..." Luz pleaded with the older girl.

She chuckled at her sister's antics. "I wish I could, but you already know I'm not gonna leave you in bed by yourself," She placed her hands on her hips. "You're too much of a wild card to leave here all alone." And no, her being sick wouldn't stop Luz either.

"What if I went to sleep right now? Would you go then?" Luz clasped her hands tightly.

She raised a playful brow. "What do you think?"

"Oh, come on! Pleaaaase? It's not fun being sick, I haven't practiced a spell in ages! Don't you know something to heal me?" Luz whined to the older girl.

Lucila was the main provider of the home therefore making her also Luz's spell teacher, so every week she'd teach her sister a new tactic or flying lessons.

"It's been three days," Lucila rolled her eyes to the back of her head. "And I've checked for you 8 times and had said the same thing; there's no spell to heal you. This is the same thing everyone who gets it has to endure. You just have to endure it for another day or so. I-" She faltered as she saw her sister giving her puppy eyes. She gave a small smile as she could never say no to that face. "...Fine, I'll go. But you have to promise me that you'll be safe while I'm gone."

"Yes! Annoying younger sibling tactics," Luz pumped a fist.

"But for added measure, I'm taking this," She took her sister's spell book, because the last time she left Luz unattended with it, she made the Owl House come to life.

"Aww!" Luz pouted at her. "You're no fun."

"If I was, this house would fall apart by the end of the month," Lucila shook her head slowly; out of the two of them, someone had to be the responsible one. If Luz was in charge...she didn't even want to think about what would happen. She grabbed her basket near the door and stepped out into the forest. The air was a bit ominous, but nothing she couldn't handle. She and Luz had been dealing with it for a while by themselves anyway...

"Hoot hoot! Are we forgetting something?" She flinched as she heard Hooty, the house's...Hooty. He mainly kept them safe should people launch an attack on them, and acted as the lighting system, water system, mail carrier, and more.

"Good morning, Hooty," She cringed a bit since he could sometimes be a bit weird, so she didn't interact with him much. Well...at least, she tried to. Other times he could make it really hard to ignore him. Especially when he got into the mud outside, no matter how many times Lucila told him not to. "I'm off to the market, make sure Luz doesn't go anywhere."

"You can count on me!" He gave a determined look, looking around with a serious look in his eyes. She just sighed and walked off silently. She then ducked her head from a flying griffin passing by. She would use her palisman, their main method of transportation, but she preferred walking as it took longer to get to her destination, which she honestly preferred. The girl preferred to take a breather every once in a while since flying was faster. She glanced at the twisted trees around her, adjusting her bangs.

Life for the sisters wasn't easy, as they lived all alone ever since...family stuff happened that she didn't like remembering. And as she was 16, being both practically an adult and a powerful witch wasn't always as...normal for her to handle. Not that she needed normal, her sister loved living here. But for her, she just...didn't always enjoy it. It was like something was missing from her life. A fairy flew near her to try and bite her, but she spun a spell finger. The fairy got trapped in a vine from the ground summoned by the girl.

She hummed to herself as she walked into Bonesborough, and the girl was immediately met with stares, and not in a good way either. Lucila kept a confident look on her face while walking by all the demons, monsters, and other witches...and she was technically one of them like her sister, but not in the typical sense. Since she and her sister were the only humans in town, they usually got disdain or scorn from most of the town. The townspeople didn't like the two being able to do magic since they weren't born in the Boiling Isles. Everyone just always thought they weren't real citizens or witches, even though the two could perform magic. Plus being human and a witch was both rare in the town, so none of them could really trust the two.

She was used to all the looks and whispers going on around her right now, and over time, Lucila just didn't care. She had her own interests to focus on rather than silly rumors going on about them or how the public viewed them. People around her opened their stands to start selling potions or ingredients for potions, or other things. She looked up ahead to see Tiny Nose walking by. A large worm slithered in front of her, roaring at the girl. She blinked while being covered in saliva, dusting herself off.

"Oh...the human. Good morning," Someone selling little octopus said to her thinly and she glanced at the bug demon.

"Good morning," She rolled her eyes at him.

"And where would a non-witch be headed so early?"

"The bookstore," Lucila smiled a little. "My sister wants an Azura book, and I figured to get-"

"Yeah, yeah. Free sample? Anyone want a free sample?" He waved a little squid, not even paying attention to her anymore. She waved it off and left him alone. Meanwhile, the gossip continued around her.

"It's her again."

"Remind me again why we can't eat her."

"She's so weird."

She continued to walk past all the stands as she listened, but didn't respond or show that she was annoyed.

"She doesn't even have any friends."

She looked at some fairies flying above her, humming once again. Some looked at her in disgust, while others just looked away. To her, she got tired of it since she wasn't really a fan of being a victim, but she had no idea what was out there, something that always stayed in her mind.

Everyone stared at Lucila as she made her way to the bookstore, the bell ringing as she stepped in. She zoomed past the seller for the section she was looking for and scoped the shelves. She silently cheered for herself once she found what she was looking for and grabbed the books she wanted.

Once she put down her books, the seller chuckled in amusement. "Again? You've picked up those books three times this week." He was one of the few people that didn't treat her or her sister differently. So coming here was one of the few pleasant experiences the two had out of hundreds in the whole town. Well...other than friends who weren't around anymore.

"What can I say? Everytime I come here, my sister spends all night reading Azura. And I can't help but get lost in books about Bard magic, it's one of my favorites," Lucila smiled happily, her eyes shining. "I can't wait to reread them."

"Well, since you and your sister love these books so much, you can keep them."

"What?!" She recoiled back in shock, waving her hands. "Oh no, I couldn't."

"I insist, you and your sister are my best customers. It's the least I can do."

"Thank you!" She smiled gratefully, walking out with the books in her basket. She got semi-wary looks from people as she stepped back onto the sidewalk. She and Luz were able to do every single kind of magic, a feat not many witches could do for reasons. Lucila dusted herself off and opened up one of her own books, reading it along the way.

"That's her, isn't it?"

"There she goes touching one of our books."

She walked right past Mr. Elixir, where Morton opened up his shop. He stared at the human girl and sighed, looking on with a fist to his cheek. He had an open crush on the girl, who just wanted to be friends since romance wasn't her thing. Ironically, the Good Witch Azura had romance in it, and it was the favorite franchise of the Nocedas. It didn't stop Luz from wishing that her sister would have a romantic partner, though.

While some kids were running around, she twirled around them while reading. One of them kicked a grudgby ball and it soared near her head. She spun a finger to make the ball stop in mid-air and then tossed it gently while still pointing a finger. One of the children caught it in their hands and they continued to play.

One of the fairies roared while flying near her, but she lowered her body almost to the ground as it went right above her. She stood up and continued on back towards the Owl House. On her way, she stopped at a statue of Belos and sat down. A bunch of baby stonesleepers ran past her, someone glaring at her and walking off. She smiled at one of her favorite music spells, which was changing the melody of a song by just whistling a specific tune. Two stonesleepers stopped around her.

"See this one? I wonder if I can change the taste of apple blood so that Luz and I can digest it," She rubbed her chin, as most of the local food they couldn't eat. So Lucila usually had to go into the night market or find someone who specialized in things she could eat. Getting the money for that wasn't always easy, as she had done things she regretted just to get snails to feed them. One of the creatures took a bite out of the page, which she didn't react to. Suddenly all the creatures ran off as their owner was chasing after them.

She stood up and continued to walk through the market.

"She is a looker, but I could never."

"Yeah, she's too try hard."

Some teenage griffins were flying in the sky until one of them got hit with magic, falling towards the ground. A little cat demon with a lazy eye named Chris ran around with his arms open, and the creature fell onto his head. He picked it up and then ran towards his 'friend', Nevareth, who was the local 'hero' of the Boiling Isles.

"Hum-di-diddle! Not a single miss, Nevareth! You're the greatest in the Boiling Isles!"

The man blew smoke from his finger, walking off confidently. "Tell me something I don't know."

"No one here stands a chance against you!" Chris ran after him. "And no girl, for that matter, for they would earn an adieu."

"Yes, yes, Chris," Nevareth held him up, putting him on his shoulders with a smirk. "But my next conquest is one we all know." He was looking right at Lucila, who wasn't noticing him of course. She continued to him while reading spells.

"The human witch?!" Chris fell to the ground in surprise.

Nevareth watched her intensely with a smug smile. He had his eyes on Lucila for a long time. How could he not, she was seen as one of the most powerful witches around. And that could put him really high in society... "That's the one. The one who I, Prince Nevareth Bladestrife of Angstmore, will marry."

"But-"

"She's the most powerful witch in the Boiling Isles," Nevareth smiled, hands on his hips as he continued staring at the girl.

"That might be true, but-"

Nevareth put his boot to Chris' cheek and pushed him away. "She's the best. Don't I deserve the best, being what this town needs?" He gestured to himself.

"Y-Yes, of course, no one else deserves her. But if you ask me, she's a bit of a blur," He murmured that last part to himself, as he didn't see the appeal. But if Nevareth wanted her, he couldn't argue too much...should he want a punch to the face.

Nevareth whistled to himself as he stared at Lucila walking away. He hadn't talked to her much, as he had been on various quests to be the strongest in town. They watched as the girl looked at some cotton candy, but backed out as she saw it was rotten cotton candy. Nevareth slicked his hair back as she walked right past while looking at her book. No one could match his level but her, since she could do any spell, unlike everyone else because they were in a coven. Covens were places where people picked to practice what type of magic.

Back then, it was treason, but since any sense of a leader was no longer around, everyone was stuck using one type of magic except the Nocedas. Which might be another reason they were so cold to the idea of humans being witches. Nevareth stopped adjusting himself as Lucila was getting out of sight. He smirked and marched after her.

"Oh, Nevareth!" Skara, a Bard witch, gushed as he ran past.

"He's so it. What does he see in that faker, though?" Boscha gave an annoyed look towards Lucila. Boscha was Lucila's rival, though she and Luz didn't get along well either. If anyone was the most vocal against the girls being witches, it was Boscha. "At least around here, she's where she belongs: at the bottom of the social circle."

"Let's post about him on Penstragram," Amelia pulled out her scroll, the others doing the same. Nevareth stopped short of a centaur demon with his face on his chest, looking past him. He greeted other people around Lucila, him never taking his eyes off her. He waved some people off politely as she was almost to the path of her home.

"There's gotta be more than this for us here...right?" Lucila sighed to herself while never looking up from her book.

Nevareth was surrounded by his admirers as he looked up ahead to the human witch. People gathered around to gossip about her, blocking his way as he tried to scope for her. He then ran around and went into an alleyway. He climbed over a stand and emerged from the other side, grunting as he still had people in his way.

Lucila flinched and turned around as she had an uneasy feeling about something. People just walked off as soon as she laid eyes on them. She just shrugged and stepped onto the pathway leading to the forest, though that uneasy feeling wasn't unwarranted...

Angel: I keep getting Spanish guest reviews talking about some of my stories, and for some reason, this person needs to review on only one story to try and get the point across. Basically this person is telling me to delete Panther, a story that I have since stopped doing and I don't even talk about at all. I don't like bringing up that story because the experiences with it are not something I want to relive. So why I'm being told to delete when I'm not even touching it is beyond me. I will be deleting it not because I was asked to, but because I just don't like being reminded of it. But for some reason, this person needs to comment on my Owl House story, on my Tangled story for reasons, for quote 'being sketchy' and 'Eda and Lilith don't have biological family/relationships.'

Okay, a, I don't know what the heck sketchy means and why it's being used to describe the story. And b, Eda and Lilith already are sisters, and we've seen their parents, so I don't think they necessarily needed an OC relative if that's what I'm supposed to interpret from that. Plus, you know, Caleb and Evelyn are basically their ancestors according to the creator! Who are basically Lucila and Hunter, even if I couldn't write it into the story due to time! And also, Eda has Raine, so why would I change it to have them removed? Which sounds pretty binary-phobic if you ask me. Plus, non-binary representation is welcome in any animation, so I'm not against Raine as a character either. And Lilith basically needs no love interest because she's aromantic AND asexual, so her having a romance is moot. And yes, even if she wasn't confirmed as such, I would still write her as single. I don't think she necessarily needs a love story, and if the show wants to portray her as that, that's great for her!

And the only reason why I'm keeping that review is because not only is it in Spanish, but it's also ridiculous in a funny way.
