Chapter 1: A Fast Way to Escape your Engagement
Rias Gremory locked herself in her room after another argument with her brother due to the engagement with Riser.
Why is it so hard to understand! She just wants to marry someone she is in love with and that loves her back! Agh!
Her phone suddenly started to go crazy and showed satanic signs she never saw before and some that looked like modifications of old ones she knew. Then she received a text.
Unkown: Hello soon to be Miss Phoenix! May I offer you an exciting proposition for your future?
Rias frowned, the only way her human phone got reception in hell was if a demon was tempering with it. She deleted the chat just as another message popped up, this time from Akeno?
Akeno: If I pretend, I am your masochistic best friend, will you listen?
Yuuto: Or maybe the handsome church project you have?
Koneko: Or the neko-loli!
Akeno: I just noticed that the crossdressing vampire doesn't have a phone in his box.
Akeno: So; want to get out of your marriage?
Rias blinked at the barrage of messages before texting back.
Rias: Who are you?
Akeno: Silly me! How can I forget my manners! Give me one second!...
Akeno changed it nickname to Internet Demon Issei.
Internet Demon Issei: Now then, let's talk business!
Rias frowned. She swears she had heard that name before.
Internet Demon Issei: Here is my proposal! If you get me a book from your brother's library, in a blink and a snap, I will talk Riser out of this idea. Trut me, I am truly convincing.
Rias: I still don't know who you are.
Internet Demon Issei: HAHAHAHA! Aren't you something else! Don't worry! I have the perfect thing to introduce myself!"
Internet Demon Issei sent a video link.
Rias looked at the link direction. It was Helltube, the hell version of Youtube. She pressed it and saw it was a... news report.
"The Radio Demon, one of the most powerful demons that we had seen in a while, has killed another Lord of Hell. We have an interview with Beelzebub Satan about this topic."
"Thank you. Issei as we know him, has powers that dare I compare to one of us Satans. He is a threat to the order of Hell, and we are working hard to stop him."
The interviewer nodded "How did he get so strong? Is he also a pure demon?"
Beelzebub shook his head "Not that we can tell. But he seems to know how to make deals. We made sure to avoid him getting to earth, but he seems to be abusing of weak-willed demons."
And the video was done.
Internet Demon Issei: As you can see, you are perfect to change the idea that I only look for weak and easy targets! And I can easily make this wedding shenanigans end. So, do you accept?
She received a link and she pressed it. It was a terms and conditions agreement. She can see it showed it had two million pages and it let her accept immediately.
Rias: No.
Internet Demon Issei: Well, while your answer was expected, I know, you will see my way.
Internet Demon Issei changed it nickname to Akeno.
The next morning, Rias was in her office and searching for information on the demon who talked to her yesterday. And all the information she could find, was worse than the last. She shook just seeing the pictures.
Her phone rang and it was an unknown number. She frowned and picked up "Hello?"
"Why hello Future Miss Phoenix!" the voice sounded distorted, almost like a low-quality video "Had you thought on my offer yesterday!?"
Rias sighed "Issei, was it?"
"Why yes that is my name, I am so glad you remember it!"
Rias nodded "I looked into you, and you are not the type of person I want to associate to. Goodbye."
She was going to hang up when he chuckled, his laugh distorting more and more "Aren't you adorable. Even when your time is running up, you still refuse the one person who can help you. Someone is getting to your door."
"Rias;" Akeno entered the office "Riser is on his way here. He just called to arrange the wedding."
Rias frowned as the chuckled on the other line of the call "You don't have to pay me today or tomorrow. I will give you two months to get me the book. But if you accept today, Riser will enter, and say the wedding's off. Do we have a deal?"
"Rias?" Akeno asked "With who are you talking.
"Give me a second." She said and went to see the message she just received. The same link as yesterday. She opened it and the first line read.
'Rias Gremory must give Issei Hyoudou the 'Book of Souls' in a time of two months as a payment'
Riser materialized into the office and Rias pressed the accept button. Riser smirked as someone knocked the door.
"I am waiting outside to fulfill my side of the deal."
"Akeno, open the door." Rias said and Akeno nodded, bothering Riser.
"Hey, aren't you going to greet your husband." He said walking to her as Akeno slammed the door closed, making them both turned to the frightened queen.
"Akeno?" Rias asked as the voice on the other side of the line chuckled.
'Tell her to let me in, I am your friend now.'
Rias licked her lips out of nervousness "Let him in. I called him."
Akeno gulped "Rias-"
Riser huffed "Another try to avoid this? Let him in, I will talk with him myself."
Akeno nodded and shakily opened the door. Riser glared at the... teen. He was the same age of Rias, dressed in a red coat with a black suit, red bowtie, deer ears on his head and an X scar on his forehead.
"Rias! Do not fret, I am here!" He laughed "Forgive me, I stole that line from another dimension I saw the other day!" He said, his voice sounding with an echo as Riser went to him.
"So, Rias asked you to what? Stop the wedding?"
Issei laughed "Why yes! We made quite the deal! So, I imagine you will say no, I am right?" He grinned, showing his sharp teeth.
Riser scoffed and snapped his fingers, making his peerage appear. "Do you still think that way... who are you again?"
Issei chuckled "What a good strategy! Showing your weapons to intimidate! But luckily, I've been in the game long enough to know that dog that barks doesn't bite!" He laughed at his own quote and Riser was going to burn him when his sister, Ravel spoke.
"B-brother... he is the Internet Demon that mother and father spoke about." She said her eyes wide in fear and Riser stopped.
"The one who killed brother?" He asked, feeling the sweat run down his forehead.
Issei chuckled, his voice starting to distort. "Now, now, if I wanted your death...IWoUlD HaVe DonE sO aLreAdy..."
Every electronic device started to go crazy as Issei kept grinning, his green eyes shining. He chuckled, back to his normal echoey voice "But anyway, yes, she asked me to end the wedding now. So," He took from his coat the contract made between both families for the union "Burn the contract. And you can go to your merry way." He grinned as Riser grabbed the contract.
"And... if I don't?"
Issei laughed "You won't. I can be very cONvinCINg."
Riser gulped as he noticed Issei starring at Ravel. He gripped the contract...
And it was consumed in fire.
Issei laughed and shook Riser hand "I knew you would agree! Now then," He grinned at Rias who smiled relieved "I will be waiting for my payment. Adios! Like they say in Argentina!"
Issei left out of the blue and Rias smiled "Well Riser, you can leave, and please, never come back."
Riser had his fists turning white "Rias..."
"You are the biggest fool I ever met." And with that, he left.
Rias was satisfied. But she doesn't know...
