What the hell happened here?
In Lanox Village, Aisha and Chung were still sitting on a public bench. "I should be the one asking you that! You left the story for half a year!" Aisha yelled at the author. Chase left them alone and now Aisha looked like a child molester. Yes, I remember writing that. "Stop making me sound bad!" Aisha yelled again, since the author kept telling false information to the reader.
"Excuse me."
Aisha was startled and faced the person who just called her. It was a blonde woman with blue eyes, but not Rose. She was wearing a uniform with a little hat. There were more of them behind her. "Are you the one who just called me? My name is Rose. I'm here to pick him up," the person that called herself "Rose" smiled and pointed her finger at Chung.
Chung turned his face to the woman. Before he could react, Aisha grabbed him with both her hands and carried him. "You know the caller was a man, right?" Aisha smiled slightly and got up from her seat. Chung mentioned a ghost near Edward before. Edward was scared of ghosts, he didn't want to hear any more explanation and quickly called Rose to pick up the kid. Logically, the caller they were looking for should be a man.
"Kidnapper!"
"I'm not a kidnapper!" Aisha shouted as she ran away… that would obviously make her look like a kidnapper. The group was chasing her, even attacking her without caring about the little kid in her arms. She casted mana shields for defense, teleporting away and turning the road into ice so they would slip and fall. But no, there were more people than the group that just approached her. "Chung, hide! I don't know how, but be careful! Chase, help us or something!"
She reached a dead end and Chase didn't come to help, but fear not, she's a magician. All she had to do was teleport to the other side of the wall, and done! She's safe.
By logic.
In reality, there were already some people expecting her to be there and now she's surrounded. They threw daggers and shot their arrows. Aisha had no way of dodging them, even the sky wasn't safe anymore. She knelt down and hugged Chung tightly in her arms.
"Hand over the kid right now!"
"No! Are you trying to kidnap him away from a kidnapper?!" Aisha yelled before she coughed blood (Yes, for some dramatical scene). While they weren't attacking, she filled her mana to cast a stronger magic spell. She needed to wipe them in one go without killing them.
"Aisha is bleeding…" Chung whimpered and wiped the blood on her face with his hands. He noticed there was more blood than what she just coughed.
Aisha forced herself to smile. "I-It's alright! I caught a really bad cold while running," she lied, wishing it wasn't obvious enough for a kid. Her visions were getting blurry and she couldn't keep her balance anymore. If she fell unconscious, who knows what would happen to Chung? It would be better to scar a kid mentally for the sake of a better future, but as a human, even a kid got his freedom too. The least she could do now was cast another mana shield and tank more attacks.
Someone walked toward them with a gentle smile. "Hey kid, why don't you come with us?" the man asked kindly and offered his hand. Truly a criminal behavior. But because he's just a side character, he didn't have the pass to yell at the author.
"Stop hurting Aisha!" Chung yelled and shot the man without hesitation. Armor and guns were materialized as he shot everyone (excluding Aisha, thankfully). Not sure what to do, Aisha unleashed her magic spell to everyone behind her, which didn't even hurt anyone due to how weak she was at the moment.
"What the hell?! Leave my brother alone!"
The real Rose shot the whole group with her gun and launched them up to the sky. She found Aisha and Chung, with Aisha's back covered in daggers and arrows. "Chung! Aisha! What happened?!"
"They're being mean to Aisha!" Chung shouted to answer and looked at Aisha, who was still forcing herself to smile.
Hearing the familiar voice, Aisha fell to the ground and lost consciousness.
Where was Chase? Well, he was still in Lanox, but he's inflicting mental damage to the other part of the group. He was this close to get a robe and act like a grim reaper. After the chess game, he trusted Aisha to protect Chung. Maybe too much. "It's enough. If we stick together, we'll get surrounded," Chase replied to the author, appreciating what Aisha did.
He teleported himself into Chung's house, but there was nobody there. Maybe if the author wrote where they were going before changing the scene, this paragraph wouldn't exist. Chase sighed, checking every place like how he always did to find Chung.
And he got into a pink castle. In a pink guest room, Aisha was unconscious on the bed. Rose was treating Aisha's wounds while Laby was healing her with pink clouds. In the corner, Chung just sat on the floor with a girl.
"Chase…" Chung whimpered and cried at him.
Chase sighed and knelt down to face him. The dark haired girl next to them, Nisha, frowned and patted Chung's back. "Aisha is hurt because of me. Is she going to die?" Chung sobbed and hugged Chase tightly.
"She's fine. Give her some time to rest," Chase answered and patted Chung's head. While the kid was wanted by some people, he was always with Chase. This was his first time being protected by a real human. And that human was hurt because of it.
"I don't want to go out anymore," Chung sobbed, realizing more people would be hurt because of him. He should've just stayed home.
"Done!" Laby shouted with a smile. She walked to the corner and grabbed Chung's hand. "Why are you crying? Let's play a game with Laby and Nisha!"
The two of them played in the corner (Three of them if Nisha actually looked like a person instead of a mirror). Rose scratched her head in confusion and looked at Chase, who didn't show any expression. "Damn, I didn't know it was this bad. Thank you for always protecting him, Chase," Rose smiled and bowed down to show gratitude.
"It's usually not this bad, but our author ran out of ideas, so they're suddenly aggressive," Chase informed the sister. If it was this aggressive to begin with, Chung wouldn't be here any longer.
Aisha slowly opened her eyes. Thanks to Laby's powerful healing pink clouds, the Time Wizard recovered way quicker than normal people would. "Why are you calling me Time Wizard too?!" Aisha yelled at the author. Judging by her reaction to yell, it was confirmed that she's back to normal.
"Aisha!" Chung called and approached her with teary eyes. He thought Aisha would be dead, so it really relieved him to see her alive. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry…" he apologized and cried. He didn't even know what he was apologizing for, but he knew Aisha got hurt because he was there.
Aisha just forced herself to smile. She wasn't sure what to feel, since she just wanted to protect a kid. Nothing wrong with that, no? "I-It's fine, it's fine! It's okay, Chung, don't cry–"
But Chung cried even louder and hugged Aisha. "Aw, he likes you!" Rose admired the view and smiled like a proud big sister. This was Chung's first time making friends with a human. She was so glad he finally got a real friend.
"Aw hell nah, I'm not real," Chase commented on the author's remark about Rose's mind. He turned around and disappeared into thin air. Well… technically he wasn't that real…
"I'm not going out again. I'll stay at home," Chung said with a sad look.
But Aisha got sad too. "You need to go out! Who's gonna play with me then?!" She whined like a kid. Yes, she's on the stage of desperation for a friend. While Chase agreed to play with her, he would randomly disappear at any time.
"But you got hurt!" Chung sobbed and grabbed Aisha's face with his hands. There was obviously no blood on her face anymore.
Aisha giggled and grabbed Chung's hands. "It's alright. Look, I'm healthy again!"
"Laby wants to play too!" Laby jumped in excitement. She got bored in her castle alone with Nisha. Playing outside would be a little adventure.
"Little adventure? That sounds fun," Rose nodded her head. "Why don't you guys go on an adventure? From here to Ruben."
Aisha thought about it. Staying in Lanox and Hamel all the time wouldn't give her any plot. She had to do something weirdly stupid to be able to somehow find a story. "I'll ask if Noah and Edward could come along!" She shouted as she checked her phone and looked at the time. She was finally aware of how long she passed out.
About the mentioned employees, both of them were currently working. Noah was enjoying his time drawing for the client's project. It wasn't as fun as drawing for himself, though.
Edward got out of the online meeting and sighed heavily. He already gave all possible logical reasons for the team's drawing and story concept, but the client always had some stupid stuff to do. He was starting to be sure that these random revisions were just something for the client to report to their boss, otherwise they'd be considered slacking off. He faced to the left, which was Noah, the graphic designer. "That project you're working on… There will be an extra scene at the end."
Noah pouted and stared at Edward. He wasn't even drawing the ending yet and there's already revisions for it. "Revisions! You always use revision to add something. I'm starting to suspect you from using deez nuts as an excuse to add your own input!"
"This same client wanted the opening logo to show up twice 2 weeks ago. Maybe we should stab them and make it look like an accident," Edward said with a frustrated look and stared at his group chat with the clients. Sometimes he felt like blocking them for at least a week. "And they still wanted us to submit the design tomorrow."
"Can't you do anything? There were 2 projects that needed revisions for today. I've been working on them. Now I need to finish this by tomorrow?" Noah asked and hit Edward's arm with his pen.
"I can't fix stupidity, so no, I can't do anything," Edward answered with a straight face. He looked at the drawing on Noah's monitor. "But if you actually can't finish it by tomorrow, just tell me."
"You can apologize to the client!" Noah smiled and looked at Edward with pleading eyes. "Tell them I'm not in the mood to do it."
"I'll hang you," Edward replied and checked the other project he's working on. Apparently he got more revisions from another client… that would make him mald unprofessionally. He tried to keep his composure and smiled at Noah. "Hey, do you remember that medical company project?"
"The one that I revised last week? I remember," Noah said, feeling concerned there would be a new revision. "Why?"
"The client wanted you to revert it back before revision," Edward said the harsh truth of working with a client.
"I… I…" Noah's hands were trembling. He wasn't sure how to feel anymore. He got upset that the client just told him to revert it back like it was nothing. He felt happy the revision was easy enough to do. He felt sad the design he worked for it would be just deleted like it was nothing. "I… Why…?"
Edward patted Noah's back. Noah just stared at him with teary eyes. "Edward, I want a day off…"
Ping!
Noah sighed and checked a new message. He was expecting the revision list, but it was Aisha, informing him that she couldn't pick him up in time today.
And thus, Noah went home alone like he always had before Aisha came. He got cramped in the middle of a crowded train. Rather than being sad, he was concerned with his roommate's condition. Aisha didn't explain what had happened, so he wanted to know if everything was okay.
Grab!
Slap!
Someone was trying to grab his shoulders, so he slapped the person's hand. He put his phone in his bag, just in case someone was trying to steal it. But no, this time, someone actually grabbed his arms from the back and held it tightly. Sadly Noah was one of those people who weren't able to scream for some reason. "What are you doing?!" Noah yelled to try to free himself.
But a tall man that was standing in front of him turned around. He smiled creepily and patted Noah's head. "Don't worry, little kid, you'll be fine," he said gently and touched Noah's face with his hand.
Hm… Ahem… This is the second narrator taking over our author's… indecent fantasy. Let's see here… We can still fix this.
"Excuse me! Excuse me–!"
A familiar girl's voice was getting closer. She finally came and grabbed Noah into her arms. "Hey, I made it!" Aisha smiled, realizing Noah's body was trembling. "Sorry, it's a bit hard to track your presence in the middle of these people. Glad I found you!" She said and glared at the creepy men that were trying to make the author's fantasy come true.
"I-I… I'm sorry…" Noah muttered and hugged Aisha tightly. "Thank you, Aisha."
Aisha felt concerned. She didn't expect the author to actually just write the degenerate scene the moment she was unable to pick him up from work. Now the boy was scared, he didn't even make a single "your mom" or "deez nuts" jokes. "Hey, Noah, wanna go on a little adventure?" Aisha asked a question to distract themselves from what just happened.
"Adventure?" Noah repeated, feeling curious about this little adventure.
Aisha nodded her head with a smile. "Yeah, little adventure. It's you, me, Chung, Chase, and Laby. It's gonna be fun! Maybe we should get Edward too?"
"We barely have money and now you want to go on an adventure?" Noah asked again. He didn't get the idea of going somewhere without money. Will they even make it back or die in the street from lack of food? He got work too. There would be no way for him to just go on a little adventure.
"I can help you with that."
Aisha shrieked and looked out the window at the train. Chase was looking at them… from outside. Because the inside was cramped, he had no way to enter. "I can't hear you if you're outside! Maybe just float above us!" Aisha yelled at the despairful angel.
Chase disappeared and reappeared on top of them, just staying there like he had 0 gravity. He repeated what he was saying outside the train.
"Oh, yes please! But do it on weekends. I want to at least finish my task," Noah smiled and got excited with what Chase was going to do. Aisha was very concerned, but if it would make her have more friends to go, she'd take it.
Because ironically, the two people with her now didn't have enough brain to at least find out what would happen. Chung was still a little kid and Laby still had a mentality of a child. Chase didn't really show himself, so it'd leave her talking to herself while bringing 2 kids.
During the weekend, Aisha and Noah were drawing the wall together. Aisha still didn't know what she's drawing other than a random line. Noah chuckled and faced Aisha with a smile. "I want to buy wall paint. I know what to draw on the wall now!"
"Let's save some money for it, then!" Aisha agreed with his idea. She'd love to have a better wall than a random scribble everywhere.
Noah's phone vibrated from an incoming call. He picked it up and pouted. "Edward, I'm not doing revision on weekends!"
"As if! The boss gave us instructions to postpone everything!"
"What?! Why?!" Noah whimpered and looked at the wall. "Where do I get money now…?"
"Someone–or something–turned the office building into a screaming goose figure. The entrance door was locked, and inside it were 23 more doors. They finally reached a room and found a paper on the wall saying "Keep going until the top. Everything is still there untouched and not destroyed.". So… We can't work until they get all our assets and devices back."
Noah turned to silence, trying to process the weird fantasy he just heard. "Okay… What else?"
"Chase came to me. He said he's just doing a little trolling."
Noah looked at Aisha, who was still trying to make a shape from all her random lines. So far, she managed to create a deformed triangle. "Aaah! Noah, I'll do it!"
"Huh? Do what?" Noah asked with a confused look.
"Do you!" Aisha shouted with a smile. "Just kidding~! I'll buy the paint for us, alright?"
"Ah, Edward?! Hello?!" Noah shouted in panic over hearing the beeping sound from his phone. Edward hung up the moment Aisha said "do you" and didn't hear the rest. "Um… Are you sure?"
"Yeah, just promise me you'll make our place look awesome!" Aisha nodded her head and looked around. She could imagine Noah's drawing filling the entire place and it'd be pleasant to see.
