RWBY 40k – Salem, Mistress of Inquisition.

Episode 28: Rising of the Princesses.

887.M30. Chemos.

Edelgard is now an accomplished princess and warrior much to the delight of Fulgrim and her elderly mother Udili.

Like her cousin Kariady, she reaches an impressive size. But unlike her cousin, she was so much smaller, with a height of 2.1 meters.

As her father had promised, she began to manipulate the other elements of her hereditary transformation. Just like her violet eyes which allowed her to fight with the grace of an Eldar.

But the resemblance ends Edelgard looked more like a very tall, proportionate woman with a striking beauty.

Edelgard was in the palace, in training gear.

She was fighting against Helder.

Hulder: "Yes. That's good, you parry my punches!"

She repeatedly struck the Astartes with her large wooden axe.

Eventually, she knocked him off balance and the Space Marine fell to the ground.

She pointed at him for a moment before finally withdrawing her weapon and offering her hand to the Space Marine.

Helder took it and stood up.

Hulder: "You have surpassed me, princess. In every way. This training had the desired effect."

Edelgard: "Thank you, Hulder. I was able to discover my abilities thanks to you."

Hulder: "You're welcome, I only did my duty as Astartes."

Edelgard left the training room before getting dressed in a more presentable outfit.

She took her simple outfit that she had worn since she was 10 years old and constantly re-stitched with her changing size until her maturity.

She then left the building.

Outside you could see the gigantic city of Callax, nurtured by the ever-growing Empire of Chemos.

She walked into the main palace while the locals greeted her politely and respectfully.

She climbed the steps leading to the main palace, decorated in the Baroque style so characteristic of the artistic taste of her father Fulgrim.

Edelgard finally arrived in front of the entrance garden of the grand palace. A garden trimmed with geometric and perpendicular hedges.

On either side were the statues of heroes of the III Legion.

For example, Eidolon the High Captain of the Legion.

But that day was not like any other...

A servant came up to Edelgard.

Servant: "Princess. There you are at last, you are late!"

Edelgard: "I know... The Princess of Ultramar is waiting for me. I'll apologize when I'm alone with her."

She could see the Princess of Ultramar's personal ship, the "Macragge Power" just above the sky.

After entering the palace, she could see her cousin's head sticking out of the crowd of nobles and Ultramarines from afar.

Edelgard approached the crowd and Kariady spotted his cousin.

The two approached and were able to see each other for the first time in a long time. You could see that Kariady was almost the height of her father Roboute Guilliman while Edelgard was much shorter.

Kariady: "You have grown so much my dear cousin."

Edelgard: "Not as much as you, dear cousin."

Kariady: "That's how it is."

Edelgard: "Come with me."

Edelgard accompanied her cousin to the private chambers of the palace.

Once alone the two of them, accompanied by their respective Astartes guards.

They started talking.

Edelgard: "What's going on my dear cousin? Why did you want Chemos' help urgently."

Kariady: "You see. My father has entrusted me with a mission of the utmost importance. I must meet the king of the planet Koveron. But his space is dotted with Aeldari Corsairs who make navigation difficult. I have only one contingent of barely 5.000 Astartes and unable to have the help of our uncles and the other Legions.

I went to see for you. From what I've seen, you now have nearly 18.000 Astartes at your command. We can join forces to push them back."

Edelgard: "Yet they very rarely attack Imperial fleets."

Kariady: "Certainly. But for reasons that escape me. They jealously guard the region between Koveron and the current borders of the Imperium."

Edelgard: "To be honest. Driving them out of this territory seems very risky. The Eldar Corsairs according to the tales of the Rogues Traders are very cunning and organize raids rather than pitched battle campaigns."

Kariady: "I once tried to trick them with human pirates who had a close relationship with them. But they very quickly tracked me down and plundered the planet of Fulor as a warning against me. Since I can't bend by trickery, nor by diplomacy, I must make them bend by force."

Edelgard: "That's where I come in. It's that war has never been your favorite field..."

Kariady: "I need your help. I'm out of solutions and I have too little impact force with my troop."

Edelgard: "Grandma told me that as part of a family. We support each other. So you'll have to wait a while, while I can gather my troops."

Kariady: "I know..."

So, a few days later.

Edelgard was in her personal ship, the Emperor's Courage with his 7000 Astartes.

She was dressed in her war armor.

She had also gathered a large human military force because she knew well the bellicose nature of the Eldar Corsairs.

Edelgard goes to the bridge and contact the Macragge Power.

Edelgard: "You are ready my cousin?"

Kariady: "More than anything. Let's purge these Xenos."

After two weeks of travels into the space…

They are arrived on the system of Koveron.

Edelgard: "We are here now… What do we do?"

Kariady: "I have made contracts with new Human Corsairs. In exchange of goods from Macragge, I ordered them to communicate the places where the Eldar Pirates. Also, I have many spies."

Edelgard: "Hm… I see."

Kariady shows a map of the system. The star was in the middle. The system has three planets. One was an ice planet and was the farthest of the star. The next was a rocky planet was the closest to the star. Then the last planet was in a middle distance from the star and was green and blue.

Kariady: "The Corsairs loot Koveron every year by taking crops and many riches in exchange for peace with the human planet. They are vigilant and will their bases are heavily defended."

Edelgard: "Hm… I have an idea. We have to trick them. I will do a barrage shot to one of the base. They will be forced to assemble their forces. When they are assembled. We will trap them with your forces."

Kariady: "Besieging them and a direct attack both failed. Then I will follow."

Edelgard: "Let's go."

Later, the fleet of Edelgard arrived on the ice planet. No Eldar vessel was seen on the orbit.

Edelgard: "Prepare yourself. Surround the planet."

The fleet surround the ice planet in the next minutes and when it was done.

Edelgard: "Attack."

The Imperial vessels began to launch a barrage attack on the planet. Cyclonic bombs, Earthquake bombs and other Pandemic nukes was dropped on the planet.

The planet was covered in flames despite the extreme cold on.

Crewmember: "I detect something! 30. 40. 70. 90. 130. More! The Eldar are exiting their holes for the fight!"

Edelgard: "Very well… Continue to drop the bombs!"

The fleet of Eldar was bombarded mercilessly by the IIIrd Legion, their vessels are taken by the cyclonic bombs and turns to shreds by the ever-growing tempest on the planet.

This bombardment continues for several minutes but then an event arrived.

Crewmember: "We detected a fleet! An enemy fleet from the other pirate planet!"

Edelgard: "Prepare for the worst…"

Then, the fleet of Eldar Corsairs exit white portals and began to attack the fleet of Edelgard. The fleet who doesn't bombard the planet, principally the vessels of the 3rd Legion launch themselves to their enemies.

The fleet of the Ice Planet began to exit the planet seeing that the bombardment is weakening.

In the vessel, "The Golden Axe", Hulder Derfor, the Chapter-Captain of Edelgard forces prepares himself to the fight.

Hulder: "My brothers. We will charge to the ship of the Corsair Prince of the Ice planet. I count the Ultramarines that they will take out the attacking fleet. For Chemos and the Imperium!"

The Emperor's Children nods.

Hulder: "Charge to the Prince!"

The Golden Axe goes straight to the richly decorated vessel of the Corsair Prince and with its front tip, impact the Corsair Prince vessel despite the fires of the arriving fleet.

The Emperor's Children goes to the front of the ship and invade the Corsair Ship.

Hulder: "Show no mercy."

The Eldar shouts in their language and began to use their psychic powers against the Emperor's Children. The last began to use their Aura to fight against the Eldar.

But Hulder, use his special power. He began to bulk up. His muscles grew bigger and veins started to show, especially on his face. He gained 30 centimenters. Now its height is 2.60 meters.

The Eldar facing Hulder began to get nervous. Hulder smirks at this fear.

Hulder: "Let's dance…"

He planted his foot in the metal ground and took support to propel himself at full speed against his enemies.

Wielding with his strength now close to a Primarch. He began to slaughter every Eldar on his way.

Hulder: "Come by brothers! To the main hall !"

The Emperor's Children lead by Hulder began to advance inside the ship of the Corsair Prince.

Hulder: "Where he is?"

Then he arrived on the main hall then he could see the Corsair Prince, dressed in his battle armor heavily decorated with many jewels. He was finishing off a Emperor Children.

Corsair Prince: "You are the chief…"

Hulder: "Exactly. I order you and your kind to leave the Koveron system."

Corsair Prince: "I refuse. This is our home and no Mon-keigh will steal it from us. Not even you!"

Hulder: "Then I will force you! Come to me!"

He pointed his axe to him.

Corsair Prince: "You challenge me… Then I come !"

The Corsair Prince launched himself to Hulder and the two engaged a merciless battle. The Eldar uses his psychic flames to disintegrate the Chapter-captain. But he could see that the flames does nothing to the Space Marine.

Hulder: "Ha! Don't underestimate me!"

The Corsair Prince: "Take that!"

He launched telekinetic attacks with every object and try to choke the Space Marine. But the resistance of Hulder shocked the Prince.

Hulder: "That's all?"

The Corsair Prince: "Okay… I understand now…"

He planted his sword on the floor and began to concentrate his psychic energy on his body. The Eldar began to have his muscle grow, shattering his armour. His muscles become iron.

The Corsair Prince: "GROOOAAHHHH!"

Hulder: "This fight become more Interesting."

The Corsair Prince: "Khaine, bless me with your force!"

He launched himself to Hulder, surprising the Space Marine and smashed him to his jaw before chain him with his fists. But Hulder catches his fist.

Hulder: "I never felt this pain from since a long time. But it's that all you can do… that's a shame."

The Corsair Prince: "What?"

The eyes of the Space Marine began to go red and began to slowly push back the fist and then crushes it.

The Corsair Prince: "AAAAHHH! MY HAND !"

The Chapter-captain lose no time and shatter the head of the Eldar. The other soldiers watches in the horror their chief defeated.

They began to fight with the force of despair but the Space Marine have the upper morale and soon the Eldar Soldiers are pushed more and more.

Meanwhile…

The battle rages on, the two fleet tries to break the encirclement.

But suddenly, the fleet who came to rescue the Corsair is attacked by surprise by the fleet of the Ultramarines coming from Warp Portals.

Edelgard was watching this battle, the Eldar Pirates began to fight desperately. The fleet besieged was pushed back to the planet when the other fleet was beginning to be pushed out of the planet.

Then, the Golden Axe began to go retrocede from the Flaship of the besieged fleet and let the other imperial ships bomb the fleet. The Eldar vessels falls apart and fall to the ice planet.

The other fleet was now in the mercy of the fleet of the two princesses.

The Eldar fleet try to evacuate and succeed but with losing almost all of his fleet.

This victory was total.

Edelgard is now contact by Hulder.

Hulder: "My princess. We succeded."

Edelgard: "Hm… Good job Hulder. With this defeat, these pirates will not recover."

She gets a contact from the Macragge Power.

Kariady: "Thank you, my cousin. I will go to the planet to finish my mission."

Edelgard: "And me, get all the glory on Chemos."

Edelgard closes the contact.

Edelgard: "This is the beginning…"

Edelgard leads a campaign in the east against the Ork Empire of the Iron Jaws. A powerful empire who launched a surprise WAAAAGH ! on the system of Xylon.

Then, I will resume with the main story with the discovery of Konrad Curze and Angron. The Revenge of Ultramarines on the Osiran Psybrids. And also, the Assault on Dulan.
