"These two could be witches?" Grimmjow questioned as Ichigo showed them photos of Ashi Kaenatsu and Kori Kusanaji. Going along with what Aizen wants for the time being, they are being sent to investigate two girls that could be witches. "What makes the bastard in the chair think these two are witches?"

"He told me that these two girls are really close friends, at least they were." Ichigo said. "They do practically everything together like they're twin sisters, but lately there has been some sort of rift between them."

"That's it? That's not much to go on to tell us they could be witches." Rukia said.

"According to Aizen, they might be." Ichigo said. "They've been together since they were like five, going to the same school and everything. He says that when two people who are so close break apart, it could take a mental and emotional toll on them."

"It makes sense when you put it like that. Aizen did say that the witches have problems, whatever that could mean, and that is why they have powers." Nel said. "If they're so close, I wonder what happened that broke them apart."

"Do we know what powers they might have?" Uryu said.

"I think that's the part we have to figure out." Ichigo said. "Uryu, do you know anything about these two?"

"I have met them before, but I don't know them too well. I never even heard about their problem until now." Uryu admitted.

"I thought the student president knew everything on just about everyone." Ichigo said. "Don't you have access to student records or something?

"I can't just take a look at student records just simply because I want to." Uryu said. "If we're going to confirm these two are witches, we might need to go straight to the source. I say we start with Ashi Kaenatsu."

"Why her?" Orihime questioned.

"It's because I do know where she lives." Uryu said. It looks like the hunt is on.

Ashi's House

The next day, being free from school, Uryu and Ichigo decided to take a look at Ashi to see if she's really a witch. It's fortunate that Uryu does know where she lives. The two of them stood right outside her house and thought about their move.

"How did you know where she lived?" Ichigo questioned.

"I actually was in the same middle school class as her, came over a couple times for school related matters. We even took a sewing class together." Uryu admitted.

"What?! You were in a sewing class?!" Ichigo said with shock.

"If that's a problem, keep it to yourself." Uryu said. "We're here because we need a way to confirm if she's really a witch. If she is or isn't, maybe she can confirm that Kusanaji is."

"Okay, but what do we do? We can't just go in and ask if she's a witch. She'll think we're nuts." Ichigo said with the two of them trying to figure out how they were going to handle this situation.

"Hey, guys. What are you doing here?" Both of them turned around and were faced with Ashi herself.

"Miss Kaenatsu! It's good to see you." Uryu greeted.

"I see you're as formal as always, Uryu. You know you can just call me by my first name. You're name is Ichigo Kurosaki, right? I've seen you around." Ashi said. "What are you two doing here?"

"Uh... It's a little difficult to answer, but we actually need to talk to you about something." Ichigo said. They were a little worried she might turned them away, but she seemed a little easygoing.

"Sure. My parents aren't home, but you can come in." Ashi agreed with them glad to hear. "Although, if I'm going to be perfectly honest... Sorry, Uryu. I actually want to talk to Ichigo...alone."

"Huh? Just me?" Ichigo questioned.

"Of course. That's fine." Uryu agreed with Ichigo puzzled he would go with it. "Go with it." He whispered to Ichigo. "If you two are alone, she might be more obliged to kiss you. If she does have powers, you can copy it and we can use it. Just make sure you don't take it any further than that." Ichigo didn't quite get it until he realized it would just be the two of them and Ashi is an attractive young lady.

"What kind of guy do you think I am?!" Ichigo said as Uryu walked away. Ichigo and Ashi moved on inside her house. It was just them now and it was a good opportunity to see if she really is a witch. Ashi had a seat on the couch and Ichigo had a seat on the floor.

"You can sit on the couch, too." Ashi said as she thought he was being silly. "So, what did you want to talk to me about?"

"Well... Why don't we start with this. Do you think you could tell me about you and Kori Kusanaji?" Ichigo questioned. You and she are friends, right?"

"Kori? I had a feeling you would ask about her." Ashi said with Ichigo thinking it was weird she say that, but sounds promising. "Kori and I were best friends. In fact, we were like sisters. We did everything together since we were five; practically inseparable. We always had so much fun together. No matter what happened to one of us, the other was always there to help out and lend some support." Ichigo took a good look at Ashi's face. He could tell by how she smiled at the memories that she really did treasure her friendship the two of them had.

"What happened? I heard that you two aren't so close anymore." Ichigo said and that became tough for Ashi to answer.

"Well, I think that's where I tell you the truth." Ashi said with Ichigo wondering what she meant. "Ichigo, I know about your power. I know why you're really here. You came to see if I'm some sort of witch."

"What?!" Ichigo said as he was surprised she knows about that. "What are you talking about?!"

"No need to act. I'm not pulling your leg." Ashi said. "You want to know if I'm a witch and you have the ability to copy a witch's power."

"How do you know about that?! Oh man, we're bad at secrets! Did Orihime blabbed because she can't seem to help herself sometimes?!" Ichigo said.

"Calm down. It's not like that." Ashi assured. "I actually am a witch. I have the ability to see the future." She just confirmed that she was one because future seeing is one of the powers Ichigo was told about. "In fact, Kori's a witch too."

"Both of you really are witches?!" Ichigo said as he couldn't believe it. That meant that Aizen was right.

"Yeah. She ended up getting the power to see a person's past. Before you ask, we're both aware of this. We got our powers some time before we started to break apart." Ashi admitted. "You probably want to know how my power works. It's rather simple. All I have to do is kiss someone and I can see a vision of the future. That's how I was able to know about you. I had a couple with you in them. That's why I wanted to talk to you privately. I... I need your help with something."

"What is it?" Ichigo questioned.

"I had a vision once that Kori...was going to get her heart broken." Ashi admitted. "There's this guy she likes, and she's planning to tell him that soon. However, I had a vision that he was going to reject her and her heart would be broken. As her friend, I had to tell her what I saw. I tried to tell her, but she thought there was some sort of mistake. I kept telling her what I saw, but she didn't want to listen and it soon lead to an argument and that is what brought her and I to our little situation. She thinks I'm not being supportive. I really am just trying to help her. Kori's always been a little more...fragile than me. That's why if there's some sort of problem she might face, I want to know about it ahead of time to help her. That's why I was glad to get this power, but she thinks I'm wrong this time and refuses to believe me. As you can imagine, she really likes this guy. Also, I saw you in that vision, Ichigo."

"Me?! You mean I'm the guy that breaks her heart?!" Ichigo said.

"No. It's not you she likes, but you do play some part in it. I just don't know what." Ashi said. "Ichigo, I really don't want to lose my friend, but I don't want her heart to break. She won't listen to me, but I don't know what to do. Please, Ichigo... You're the only one that can help me." Ichigo could see by how she unsettling this was by how she hugged her knees. She cares about her friend and doesn't want to lose her, but it seems like she's facing a real problem. He has to do something.

"Ashi... Give me a kiss." Ichigo said.

"Huh?!" Ashi said with surprise.

"Calm down. You said you know about my power, but I need you to kiss me for me to copy it." Ichigo said. "If we both see the future, it could help us. Knowing what will happen ahead of time, could help."

"Just kidding." Ashi said as she came down to him. "I had another vision that went like this. It's how I knew about your power and another reason why I asked to talk to you. If you're here now, it might mean that it's going to happen soon." She said as she cupped his face. "Please help, Ichigo. You might be my only chance." She said as she wanted her friend back. With that, she leaned in and gave Ichigo a kiss in hopes her power can actually help. When that happened, Ichigo saw a vision just like that.

"I can't believe this!" Ichigo actually saw Kori in his vision, but she looked rather upset and ran off with it looking like she was about to cry. That must have been the moment where Kori gets rejected that he saw. She did look greatly upset, so it must have went bad.

...

The Next Day

"And that's it. That's the whole story." Ichigo said as he met up with his friends in the clubroom and told them what Ashi told him.

"Kori's going to be rejected by a guy, she takes it really hard, Ashi tries to warn her, Kori doesn't believe her, and that resulted in the two of them breaking apart." Uryu said as he listed at what they've learned. "Ashi also confirmed that both she and Kori are witches."

"You both know their witches now, so why get involved?" Grimmjow said. "Doesn't really have anything to do with us."

"I can't do that, Grimmjow." Ichigo said. "It seems like one way or another, we're going to get involved. Ashi's vision had me in it. Besides, Ashi looked really upset and desperate to get her friend back."

"They're really close, aren't they?" Orihime questioned.

"Sure are..." Ichigo said as he looked down at the photo of both girls. "They're a real fire and ice combo. They seem so different, but they're great together. One is red, the other is blue... One can see the future, the other sees the past... Even in their names... "Kaen" and "natsu" mean "flame" and "summer" while Susanaji's first name means ice."

"Quite a pair they are." Rukia said as they all thought it was interesting.

"You kissed Ashi, Ichigo. Does that mean you saw a vision of the future?" Nel questioned.

"Yeah. I saw Kori, and she looked greatly upset. It must have been when the guy rejected her." Ichigo said. "Ashi thinks it's going to happen soon. I've got to do something to help. This isn't about hunting witches anymore. We've got to do something to help these two."

"I agree with Ichigo." Orihime said. All of them thought about it and thought they wanted to help as well.

"What do we do then?" Chad questioned.

"How do we know this vision of the future is going to happen?" Grimmjow questioned. "The future might change, but what if you're seeing a future that can't be changed? What then? It be a waste of time."

"Grimmjow, be nice." Nel said.

"Sorry. It's just...how do we plan to do anything if we don't know when this is going to happen or if it can even change?" Grimmjow said.

"He's right about that. We need a little more information." Uryu said.

"Maybe you could kiss someone and get another vision of what we need to know, Ichigo." Rukia said.

"We could also test it to see if we can actually change the future or something." Nel said.

"It doesn't work like that." Ichigo said.

"What do you mean? Isn't there a way for you to see a vision you want to see?" Orihime questioned.

"If there is, Ashi doesn't know what it is." Ichigo said. "She says she can't control what type of visions she has. I think they all happen at random."

"There's also no gurantee that the visions actually will happen if the future could be changed. As amazing as these powers are, it doesn't sound like they're all that reliable." Uryu said. "That might be why Kori doesn't believe Ashi. If that's the case, we might have to take an alternative method. It might help if we knew who the guy Kori was planning to confess her feelings to."

"I already know. Ashi told me who the guy was." Ichigo said. What started as a witch hunt turned into the Supernatural Club bringing two best friends back together. Who could be the key to this? "His name is Renji Abarai."
