Chapter 3: Friday Night Bites
I woke up to my alarm clock ringing. Caroline must have set it, normally she wakes me up, by banging on my door. 'Normally' i thought to myself, normal doesn't destripe my life right now.
I picked out an outfit and went downstairs. On the kitchen table was a plait with some pancakes, and a note. "I know there your favorite - Caroline". A smile crept on my face. Caroline apparently knew my weakness.
After I ate, I went to grab my keys when suddenly a burning sensation came out from the emerald necklace, still hanging around my neck. Everything went black.
My eyes opened suddenly, i'm lying on a bench near a lake, the sun is shining. I look around hearing a voice say my name.
"You must be Miss Anastasia Forbes," a man said. But he's not talking to me, but to a woman sitting on a blanket on the grass. The woman looks up at him, I gasp. She looks exactly like me.
"Yes, I am, and you are," the woman says to the man.
"Lord Elijah Mikaelson, I was told by the housekeeper that you were out here", Elijah said to her. Offering his hand, when she made a move to get up from the ground.
The woman accepted it, with a small smile and a 'thank you'. Got in a curtsy when standing.
"Can I help your lordship with anything?" The woman said, looking at the ground.
"Elijah is just fine, if I may call you Anastasia?" Elijah said to her.
"Just Ana, everyone calls me that" The woman said to him, with a small smile.
"Anastasia, it is then. I was looking for your father" Elijah said to her.
"Oh, he isn't at home at the moment, but I can get a message to him if you need" The woman said, to Elijah.
I am slightly freaking out, is Anastasia my ancestor, and does she know Elijah Mikaelson? There is absolutely know way, I must be dreaming. But at the same time it feels so real. Like a memory that has just been waiting to come out. I look one more time at Elijah and the woman, before everything once again goes black.
I woke up to a ringing sound. A phone on the living room table is ringing. I pick it up and answer the call.
"Hallo", I say a little hesitant.
"Ana, I have been trying to reach you for an hour, are you alright." I hear Caroline say, on the phone to me.
'Shit! It's been an hour, it felt like five minutes'
"Yeah, I'm okay, I feel a little light headed", which wasn't a complete lie, that dream or memory really took some of my energy. "I think i might just stay at home today, we can meet up later if that alright." I said to her.
"Yeah that's okay, I just got a little worried, we can meet at the football game later." Caroline says and then hangs up.
'The football game, right. Mr. Tanner. What am I going to do, if I change his death, then Alaric might not show up. Think Ana. Okay I can't let him die, that would be horrible even though he is an awful person. Might have to come up with something later.
The rest of the day was spent on figuring out if Ana really had an ancestor that also had the name Anastasia.
And she did, Anastasia Forbes born in Mystic Falls January 14. 1839, death Mystic Falls June 19. 1858. 'Great same birthday as me, must be a coincidence, I hope.' Ana thought to herself, looking a little scared. There was nothing about Anastasia Forbes other than her date of birth and date of death, not even how she died.
Outside Mystic Falls High were a bunch of teenagers. I see Elena and Stefan talking between a lot of football players. He gives her a necklace, the necklace. The one he got from Rebecca but can't remember. And now it's Elenas. I walk over to Bonnie, she's staging outside the football field.
"Hey, Bonnie," I say to her while standing next to her.
"Hi, Ana, heard that you didn't feel well, how are you?" Bonnie says to me.
"I'm fine, probably just had a bad day"
"What about you, how's the witchy thing going?" I ask her.
"It's fine, I keep thinking about the same three numbers today '18, 14 and 22'," She says.
"That's weird, maybe you should play the lottery," I say with a grin.
"Elena said the same thing," Bonnie said.
"There comes Elena" I say, seeing Elena walking over to us.
" Hey! Where you been?" Bonnie say's to her.
"Can I ask you guys a question and you give me a really serious no-joke response?" Elena says, looking a little stress.
"Of course. What is it?" I say.
"The bad mojo. When you touched Stefan and you had that reaction…" Elena says while looking at Bonnie.
"You know what, forget I said that. Your little dinner party plot totally won me over." Bonnie says comforting.
"No, Bonnie, seriously. What was it? Did you see something, Or…" Elena says. Bedding to know if anything is wrong.
"It wasn't clear like a picture. Like today, I keep seeing those same numbers I told you about...8, 14, 22." Bonnie says.
"Yeah?" Elena says.
"When I touched Stefan, it was a feeling. And it vibrated through me, and it was cold, and it…"
"What Bonnie", I say, a little concerned.
"It was death. It's what I imagine death to be like." Bonnie says Elena then walks off to her car.
"Death?" I say.
"Yeah, it's probably nothing" Bonnie says and walks over to Caroline and the Cheer squad.
'Death', and then it hit me, Tanner. Shit. Okay, Damon, I need to find Damon.
I see Damon and Elena talking over by her car, but he doesn't try to kiss her like he did in the show. Elena walks off. And I start to walk over to him.
"Hey, Damon" I say while standing by the car.
"Anastasia, what a pleasant surprise" Damon says with a smirk on his face.
"It is, a surprise I mean, this is my High School" I say.
"Right," He says, and takes a step closer to me.
"I just wanted to say hi, and that's it." I say trying to walk away. But Damon takes a step closer, trapping me between the car and him.
Damon leans his face closer to mine, his lips touch mine for a split second until I push him away.
"What are you doing?" I half yell at him, he looks surprised.
"I'm trying to.. You know what, never mind". He says walking away disappointed.I walk over to the field forgetting everything about Tanner.
And he did die just like in the show. The question is why Damon tried to kiss me and not Elena. Did it have something to do with Ancestor Anastasia?, she did look just like me. And she was around the same age as Damon when she lived in Mystic Falls, before she died.
Ana turns her light off in her bedroom, and goes to sleep. Unknowing to her she is not alone in her room. By the window a shadow of a man is looking right at her sleeping body. Damon watches Ana sleep, trying to keep the memory of someone else alive.
Hope you liked it, a bit of a short chapter, but it takes forever to write. Please leave a review/comment.
