Chapter 3: The dragon gauntlet.
After the intense battle at the cathedral, the group decided it was time to return to their respective homes. Everyone was exhausted from the fight, and Shallot's stomach was growling loudly, indicating his hunger. With a nod of farewell to the others, Shallot was about to take off and head back to his dwelling when Rias called out to him.
"Shallot, before you go back, I would like to ask you for a favor," she said in a serious tone. "I want to talk with you tomorrow, as soon as the sun rises in the sky."
Shallot paused, slightly surprised by the unexpected request. "For what?" he asked. His curiosity piqued.
Rias hesitated for a moment, contemplating whether to disclose her thoughts right then or not. In the end, she decided to keep it to herself for now. "I'll explain tomorrow," she replied, a hint of mystery in her voice.
"I'll meet you tomorrow," she said coldly, leaving Shallot with little choice but to agree.
"Alright... see you then," Shallot replied, feeling a bit awkward as he turned to leave the area. He couldn't help but wonder what Rias wanted to discuss with him.
As Rias watched Shallot depart, she couldn't shake a lingering doubt from her mind. "Can we really trust you, Shallot?" she whispered to herself, uncertainty gnawing at her. But she pushed those thoughts aside, choosing to focus on the upcoming conversation.
With a wave of her hand, Rias summoned a magic circle and disappeared. She left behind the aftermath of the battle and the questions that lingered in the air. Shallot couldn't stop thinking about the strange attitude Rias had for a second, but he also remembered something Raynare said.
" I could be of help to the great Azazel-sama and Shemhaza-sama! There is nothing more wonderful than this! Aaah, Azazel-sama... My power is all for you..."
"I met Azazel, he didn't look like a bad man at all, could he and Rias at odd with each other?" he thought. "I guess Ill have to wait for tomorrow and see what Rias told to me"
Shallot arrived to his house, and started looking out for any food there, fortunately the kitchen had some fruit, raw meat and water. "Lucky day for me there's fruit and meat here" he commented. "But its raw… it's a miracle that Azazel built the house in the forest, I can easily make a little campfire outside to cook my meat"
Shallot grabbed as much of food his arms let him, but just as he leaved the house he saw the oven, he stared directly to the oven, he saw the fire symbol on the top part…fire…" Yeah don't know what that is" he said closing the door.
After gathering a bunch of saplings and collecting some rocks, Shallot, the Saiyan, expertly arranged them to create a small campfire and with a small Ki blast he light the fire. As the flames flickered to life, he couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. "Let's see if this world's meat is tastier than in Sadala," he remarked with curiosity.
Taking a small bite of the cooked meat, Shallot's eyes widened in surprise. A tear formed at the corner of his eye as he savored the delightful taste. It was a simple pleasure, but the flavor brought back fond memories of his home planet.
"It's delicious," he said softly, his voice filled with appreciation. He proceeded to devour the entire meal with gusto, relishing every mouthful. The fruits he had gathered earlier provided a refreshing contrast to the savory meat.
Once he had finished eating, Shallot sat beside the dying embers of the campfire, gazing into the fading flames. The crackling of the fire was soothing, and he found himself lost in thought.
"I hope you are watching me, brother," he spoke into the quiet night, his voice carrying a mix of determination and longing. "I'll find a way to see you again."
Memories of his brother flashed through Shallot's mind—shared battles, laughter, and the bond they once had. It had been so long since they were separated, and Shallot yearned for the day they could reunite.
As Shallot's campfire extinguished, signaling the end of his peaceful meal, he decided it was time to return to his home and get some rest. Unaware of the presence of the two hooded men watching him from afar, he began making his way back through the forest.
The men, cloaked in darkness, remained hidden, their intentions concealed. They observed Shallot with an intensity that suggested they knew more about him than he could imagine. Yet, for reasons unknown, they refrained from approaching him or making their presence known. When he finally arrived to his home he went to sleep directly.
NEXT MORNING
As promised, Shallot swiftly dressed up and took flight, soaring towards the academy to meet with Rias. He was wondering what Rias wanted to discuss with him.
Upon reaching the academy, Shallot spotted Rias standing there, arms crossed and an unreadable expression on her face. It seemed she had been waiting for him.
"Hey," Shallot greeted, trying to sound nonchalant despite the slight nervousness bubbling within him.
"Hello, Shallot," Rias replied, her tone composed yet serious. "I'm glad you came."
"Yeah, you said you wanted to talk about something," Shallot responded, trying to sound casual.
"Have a seat," Rias said, her voice calm but her eyes penetrating, locking onto Shallot's with an unwavering intensity. The room seemed to shrink as tension coiled and wrapped around them like a dense fog, and a heavy silence surrounded the room.
Time passed making Shallot uncomfortable so he, finally, unable to bear the oppressive silence any longer, spoke, his voice slightly shaky. "Is something wrong, Rias?"
"Shallot... I just need to know one simple thing," Rias explained, her voice earnest. "I know that you heard Raynare talk about Azazel."
"Yeah, why?" Shallot replied, curious about where the conversation was headed.
"Azazel is a fallen angel, and although we are not at war now, I can't trust him, I can't be too careless," Rias said, her tone serious. "He told you to go and search for me in the academy."
"You're saying that I'm kind of a spy?!" Shallot's eyebrows furrowed in disbelief at the accusation.
Rias sighed, her expression softening. "Unfortunately... I'm not saying that I don't believe your story and what happened to your brother, and I don't even know if you were aware of this, but he could have been using you to spy on us."
Shallot's eyes widened in surprise, realizing the implications of Azazel's involvement. He hadn't considered that his interactions with the fallen angel might have been a manipulation.
"I didn't know anything about your problems with the fallen angels up until Kiba told me," Shallot quickly responded, his voice tinged with urgency. "But please, Rias, you have to believe me. I'm not a spy."
Rias looked at Shallot, her expression conflicted. She could see the sincerity in his eyes, but her instincts as a Devil were telling her to be cautious. The safety of her group was paramount, and she couldn't afford to let her guard down.
"Sorry, Shallot," Rias finally said, her voice tinged with regret. "Until we find out for certain that you are not a bait of the fallen angels, then you can't come with us."
Shallot angrily stood up from the couch, frustration evident in his eyes as he confronted Rias. "I guess I didn't prove myself to you when I fought with Raynare, and now you're ditching me out," he said, his voice tinged with disappointment and anger.
"I'm not ditching you out!" Rias retorted, her own emotions starting to rise. "You have to understand that being part of the high-class demons means I can't be so careless with things like this."
"But you saw me kill a fallen angel! Why won't that be enough proof to trust me?" Shallot shot back, feeling hurt and betrayed. "I thought that you would help me find my brother, but in the end, you're just a selfish person looking out for herself and her status."
Hearing Shallot's accusations, Rias felt her temper flaring. Her crimson aura surrounded the room, a manifestation of her growing frustration. "QUIET!" she roared, her voice echoing with authority. "You don't understand anything, and I will not let you keep defaming my family and clan! I'm not killing you now because of your past actions. NOW GO!"
Her outburst stunned Shallot for a moment, the force of her words hitting him like a physical blow. He stared at her, anger and hurt still evident in his expression. But he knew that arguing further would only escalate the situation.
"Fine!" Shallot spat, his voice firm. "I hope that you find out any proofs that I'm not a spy of those fallen angels." He then left from the building not saying anything else.
Rias sank into her seat, her anger slowly subsiding, replaced by a sense of frustration and regret. "I handled that poorly I should have told him that I didn't want him to be hurt, but still this is no time to let yourself down Rias, you still have things to do"
Meanwhile, Shallot lay on the hill of grass, his gaze fixed upon the vast expanse of the sky, his mind was consumed by conflicting thoughts. The disappointment he felt towards Rias and her suspicions lingered, but he knew that there was little he could do until she discovered the truth on her own. He hoped that she would eventually see his innocence and realize that he had no ill intentions towards her or her group.
Yet, another troubling thought occupied his mind – Azazel. The fallen angel's involvement in Shallot's journey had become a cause for concern. "Was his plan using me all along to watch Rias and the others?" Shallot questioned himself, his eyebrows furrowing in frustration luckily his negative thoughts were interrupted by Koneko who was going to the reunion of the club.
"What are you doing here?" She asked.
"Wow! You scared me Koneko, I was just watching at the sky, but just now I was going to train a little, wanna come with me?" he replied asking the white-haired girl.
Koneko nodded. "I have time, let's go"
"Good, let's go to the forest, we won't be spotted there" The Saiyan and the demon girl headed towards the forest to begin their training. "Alright this seems far enough" Koneko then opens her backpack; she pulled a pair of 'MMA' gloves with kitty paws. "…ready… Shallot-sempai"
In a secluded glade, Shallot patiently guided Koneko through the process of harnessing Ki. "Before we start," Shallot began, "I remember you asked me how to use Ki, right? How to be engulfed with an aura of energy."
Koneko nodded nervously. "…Yes," she replied, her curiosity tinged with a hint of apprehension.
"Alright, then. I will teach you just like my father taught me," Shallot explained with a reassuring smile. "First, close your eyes and take a deep breath."
Koneko followed his instructions, closing her eyes and inhaling deeply. "Now, I want you to feel the air surrounding you," Shallot continued. "Feel how it touches your body, the subtle caress of the wind."
As Koneko paid attention to the sensations around her, Shallot encouraged her. "Good! Good! Now, try to feel your heartbeat and synchronize it with the rhythm of the wind."
Though she felt a bit uncertain at first, Koneko focused on the task at hand. Gradually, she started to connect with the elements, feeling the harmony between her heartbeat and the gentle breeze.
"Excellent progress!" Shallot praised her. "Now comes the challenging part. Imagine yourself as the source of that wind, generating it from your heart."
Koneko took a deep breath, her mind conjuring the image of her heart as the center of this ethereal wind. She sensed her connection with the environment growing stronger. The grass beneath her feet stirred as if acknowledging her newfound control.
"Impressive, Koneko!" Shallot exclaimed as he noticed the grass responding to her energy. "You are a natural! Remember that feeling; you are generating wild Ki."
Encouraged by his words, Koneko focused even more intensely, striving to internalize and direct the untamed Ki energy she was now aware of. Soon, a light-purple aura began to envelop her entirely.
"Yes, Yes, that's it!" Shallot praised her progress. But he quickly urged caution, knowing that harnessing Ki for the first time could be overwhelming. "Take it easy now. You've done well, but remember, you must learn to control this power."
Suddenly, Koneko felt a surge of exhaustion wash over her. The strain of tapping into this newfound energy had taken its toll on her untrained body. She knelt down, catching her breath, as Shallot offered a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry," Shallot said gently. "Mastering Ki takes time and practice. You've taken your first step, and with dedication, you'll grow even stronger."
"…Impressive, this feels so familiar but at the same time is like an entire now thing" Koneko spoke. "Let's try again"
After a couple of tries Koneko finally was able to keep the aura.
"Wow this is incredible, I feel stronger, faster, full of energy Shallot-sempai" Koneko said.
"Time to begin our training, Ready as I'll ever be, Koneko," he said "Let's see what you've got."
The two of them assumed fighting stances, circling each other in the secluded forest clearing. Koneko's eyes narrowed, her feline instincts kicking in. Shallot could sense her seriousness, knowing that despite her petite appearance, she was a formidable opponent.
Without warning, Koneko lunged forward with impressive speed, aiming a quick jab at Shallot's head. He effortlessly dodged the attack, his Saiyan reflexes serving him well. He countered with a feint and followed up with a swift kick towards Koneko's midsection.
She gracefully evaded his kick, her agility matching his own. They exchanged blows, their movements fluid and precise. Shallot could tell that Koneko had undergone extensive combat training, and he was impressed by her skills.
As the training session continued, the two of them pushed each other to their limits. Koneko's punches and kicks were powerful, and Shallot found himself having to use his full strength to keep up with her. He admired her determination and unwavering focus.
"You're good, Koneko! Its seems that you are really adapting to feeling Ki" Shallot said, panting slightly. "I can see why you're such a valuable member of Rias' group."
Koneko nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Thank you, Shallot-sempai. You're not bad yourself."
They both continued fighting for a while, exchanging blows Koneko sensed that Shallot was not at full mood like before, but she decided to wait to see if he talks to her. "That'll do for today, let's call this a draw, shall we?" he said panting.
Koneko stood there, her gaze unwavering as she replied, "You look like something is bothering you, Shallot-sempai."
Shallot attempted to brush it off, trying to reassure her, "It's nothing, really, Koneko, don't worry."
But Koneko wasn't convinced and pressed on, her concern evident in her voice, "You can tell me. We are companions, after all."
Shallot sighed, feeling the weight of his emotions becoming harder to conceal. "I said it's nothing," he replied, this time with a hint of frustration.
However, Koneko wasn't about to let him off the hook so easily. With determination in her eyes, she swiftly attacked Shallot from behind. "Ow, what was that for?" he exclaimed, caught off guard.
"I don't know what's happening to you, but I can see you are stressed. What better way to let it all out than with a fight?" Koneko explained firmly. "So, I'm not letting you go until you are relieved."
She extended her hand, indicating to Shallot that she was ready for his punch. The Saiyan hesitated for a moment, conflicted by the turmoil within him. But seeing Koneko's unwavering support and understanding, he finally relented.
With a mix of emotions, Shallot unleashed a powerful punch, aiming for Koneko's palm. The impact sent a shockwave rippling through the air, but Koneko stood her ground, absorbing the force with a determined expression.
"Talk to me" she said repeating the gesture. Shallot then proceeded to tell Koneko about his discussion with Rias earlier while he sparred with her.
"I talked with Rias this morning, she thinks I'm a spy of the fallen angels," Shallot started "I thought I'd prove myself to her but I just saw that she only cares for…her…status" he started punching Harder.
"Oh Shallot, let me tell you something about our president" she said counterattacking. " I know her pretty well" They both sat down on the grass.
"The president is the heir of the main families of hell, she is in constant pressure from all the lords, and after the war every race got really skeptical to one another, she cares about all of us, including you, she even healed you the first time you fought with us" she continued punching Shallot's palms "The president even broke some rules for each one of us, she saved us from a horrible fate that is not being selfless, at least for me"
Shallot's heart felt lighter after his conversation with Koneko. He realized he had been too quick to judge Rias, and now he understood that she did care for him but was being cautious. He would give her the time she needed to come to trust him fully.
"Do you believe that I'm a spy?" Shallot asked, still feeling a tinge of doubt.
"I don't think you are one," Koneko reassured him. "The moment you talked about your brother; your emotions were genuine."
Shallot's eyes brightened with gratitude. "Yeah, we lived through so much together, had each other's backs, and now I know he needs me. I can't let him down. I will find him, even if it's the last thing I do."
Koneko was touched by his determination. She smiled back at him, feeling a strong connection forming between them. "Don't worry, Shallot-sempai. I will help you find your brother."
Their bond strengthened further, and Koneko couldn't help but reflect on her own relationship with her sister. "I kinda wish I had that kind of relationship with my sister," she admitted, her voice tinged with nostalgia.
"You have a sister?!" Shallot exclaimed, surprised.
"Yeah... but that's a story for another time," Koneko replied, trying to change the subject.
"Oh, come on!" Shallot insisted, eager to know more.
"Sorry bu-"
Before she could continue, Koneko's sentence was interrupted by a sudden hug from Shallot. The unexpected embrace made her blush slightly, but she didn't pull away.
"Thank you for opening my eyes, Koneko," Shallot said sincerely.
In an unprecedented gesture, Koneko hugged him back, surprising not only Shallot but everyone in the club who witnessed it. "No problem," she replied softly, feeling a newfound warmth in her heart.
"Now if you'll excuse me," Koneko said, gently extricating herself from the hug, "I need to attend the club reunion, Shallot-sempai. Maybe we can talk more later."
With that, Koneko gathered her belongings and left for the academy. Shallot watched her go, feeling grateful for her support and understanding. He knew he had found a true friend in Koneko, and he was determined to be there for her just as she was for him.
A while ago (Just as the same time Shallot left the room with Rias)
Rias was thinking about her discussion with Shallot until her thoughts were interrupted by the arrival of Issei.
"Good morning, Buchou." Issei saluted
"Good morning Ise. Looks like you have gotten used to the morning."
"Thanks to you." He said.
"How was your night? Did you slept well" Rias asked.
"Yeah, thanks to that healing power I could sleep very well" Issei answered.
"Is that so? It seems like that girl's healing power is something you can't ignore. I can see why a single Fallen Angel would desire it, even by keeping it a secret from her superiors." Rias commented.
Issei then got closer to Rias he looked like he wanted to ask her something.
"Umm Buchou? If there is the same number of [Evil Pieces] as in chess itself, then it's possible to get 7 other [Pawns] besides me, right? So will there be a day when another [Pawn] besides me will join us?" Issei asked "Does Shallot is my new rival of the club? IS HE A PAWN ALREADY OR A ROOK?!"
Rias laughed. "No, my only [Pawn] is you, Ise." Issei was excited to hear that, he thought it was a confession from her president but she then continues with her explanation.
"When reincarnating a human to a Devil we use the [Evil Pieces], but depending on the ability of the person being reincarnated, more [Evil Pieces] will be consumed."
"There's a saying like this in the world of chess. Queens have a value of 9 Pawns. Rooks have a value of 5 Pawns. Knights and Bishops have a value of 3 Pawns each. Like this, there are standard values that also apply to the Evil Pieces." She explained "A similar phenomenon happens to those reincarnated. If there are those who can only be reincarnated with 2 Knight pieces, then there are also those who need 2 Rook pieces to be reincarnated. There's also the compatibility with the pieces as well. You can't use 2 separate Pieces to give them different roles, so it's important to think how to use the pieces. Once you use it, Devils won't be given a new [Evil Pieces]."
"How is that related to me?" Issei asked confused.
"Ise, I used all of the [Pawn] pieces when I resurrected you. If I hadn't, I couldn't have made you into a Devil." Rias said shocking Issei. "When I found out, I decided to definitely make you into my servant. But I couldn't find the reason for a while. But now I'm convinced. The Sacred Gear that is said to be supreme. Because it was you, Ise, who possess the [Boosted Gear] which is said to be one of the supreme Sacred Gear, the [Longinus], therefore it had that much value."
"The gauntlet on my left arm, that makes me boost my power each 10 seconds" he said.
" I guess Shallot doesn't have that kind of power to impress the president hehehe" Issei thought.
"When I was trying to reincarnate you, the only pieces I had left were 1 Knight, 1 Rook, 1 Bishop and 8 Pawns. To make you into my servant, I could only use all 8 pieces of Pawn. And your compatibility with the Pawn was also good. The other pieces didn't have the power to reincarnate you. To begin with, the value of [Pawn] is still a mystery. Also including its [Promotion]. That's why I gambled on that possibility. As a result, you were the best." Rias said patting Issei's cheeks with her fingers.
"Our matching is also great since its crimson and red, "Crimson-Hair Ruin-Princess" and [Boosted Gear]. Ise, first of all, aim to become the strongest [Pawn]. If it's you, you can definitely do it. After all, you are my adorable servant."
—The strongest [Pawn]. She said getting closer to Issei and giving him a kiss on his forehead, making him explode and turn bright red. "This is a good luck charm. Get stronger." She said.
"UOOOOO, my first kiss with a girl," Issei exclaimed, still feeling a mix of excitement and embarrassment after his encounter with Rias.
Rias chuckled, teasingly remarking, "I probably should stop adoring you here. The new girl might get jealous of me."
"Jealous? Who?" Issei wondered, not quite catching on.
But before he could figure it out, a voice came from behind him. It was Asia, dressed in her new school uniform. Issei turned around to see her, trying to gauge her mood.
"I-Ise-san...?" Asia stammered, her expression a mix of surprise and nervousness. "R-Rias-buchou is very beautiful, so even Ise-san will also like her... No, no. I can't think like that! Oh, Lord. Please forgive my sinful heart." Asia prayed, but her contemplation was interrupted by a sudden "OUCH."
"Now that you're a devil, you can't pray to God anymore, Asia," Issei explained with a grin.
"Oh, well," Asia replied, slightly flustered.
Rias then turned her attention to Asia, asking, "Do you regret turning into a demon?"
Asia shook her head, her eyes shining with contentment. "No, thank you very much. No matter what situation I am in, I'm happy as long as I am with Ise-san."
Issei blushed, feeling overwhelmed with happiness at Asia's words. It was like a dream come true for him.
"I see, then it's okay. From today, you will also be my servant, and I will make you work along with Ise," Rias proposed.
"Yes! I will do my best!" Asia replied with determination. "You ready, Issei? Our first class together starts in 10 minutes."
"F...F...First class? Are you in my classroom?" Issei asked, surprised by the revelation.
"Yea, Rias took care of everything. I'll be happy to meet all of your friends," Asia said, her smile warm and inviting.
"WOOW, I can't wait to introduce you to Matsuda and Motohama," Issei said enthusiastically.
But before they could leave, Rias had a request for Asia. "Wait, Asia, before you go, may I have a word with you? In private?"
"Ehm, sure," Asia replied, slightly curious about what Rias wanted to talk about.
"HEY! Why can't I go?" Issei protested, feeling left out.
"Sorry, Ise, girl talk," Rias said with a playful wink, prompting Asia to follow her for a private conversation.
Rias listened attentively as Asia shared her experiences with the fallen angels. "Alright, Asia, I hope this will be quick, but do you have more information about the fallen angels and the mission you were doing?" Rias inquired.
"Uhmm... well, I was sent here to exorcise some demons with that priest by the fallen angels," Asia began, her voice tinged with a hint of nervousness. "I remember hearing Raynare talking about something Azazel said to her. She was supposed to kill somebody because of its sacred gear, but then she started acting on her own."
Asia hesitated for a moment, gathering her thoughts. "She lost herself for the lust of power," she continued, her expression clouding with sadness. "And, well, we know how that ended up... She wanted to steal my sacred gear to gain the acknowledge of her boss."
"Did she have any relationship with Shallot?" Rias asked.
"Shallot? She never mention a guy named Shallot, only her fallen angel companions, If she knew about the existence of these 'Shallot' I'm pretty sure she would have mention him, at least once" She explained.
"I see, thank you for telling me all of this Asia" Rias said. "You can go now; I hope that you don't arrive later to your first class because of me"
"Thanks, Buchou, see you later" Asia said leaving the club with Issei.
"Shallot was telling the truth, I messed up, and now the question is why Azazel sent him to me? I better talk to my brother about this, but first I need to fix things with the Saiyan"
Some time later.
The Occult Research Club reunion had come to an end, and Shallot saw this as the perfect opportunity to apologize to Rias. However, just as he opened the door, he accidentally bumped into her.
"Oh! Perfect timing, Rias," Shallot said, seizing the moment. "Can I talk to you quickly?"
But Rias had other plans. "Actually, I was the one who wanted to talk to you. Let's talk in the club," she suggested, guiding Shallot back inside.
Once inside, a moment of silence passed before Shallot gathered the courage to speak.
"Rias... I just wanted to say I'm sorry," Shallot began earnestly. "I talked with Koneko earlier in the morning, and she told me what you did for all of your companions... that you sacrifice too much. I'm sorry for calling you selfless when you clearly are not."
Rias listened attentively, her expression softening. "Actually, Shallot, I'm the one who should apologize to you," she responded, taking responsibility. "I should have trusted you in the first place. Asia told me everything, and I finally understood that you were not the spy."
As their misunderstandings were cleared, Shallot offered his hand as a gesture of reconciliation. "Well, we had our misunderstandings, but let's just bury that in the past. No hard feelings?" he suggested.
"No hard feelings," Rias replied, shaking Shallot's hand before surprising him with a small hug.
"I will still help you with any problem," Shallot reaffirmed.
"And I will help you find your brother. Additionally, I will teach you one more thing," Rias said with determination. "Since you will stay here for a while, you need to learn everything about our culture, races, and history."
Shallot's confusion was evident. "What?! I'm a fighter, not a scholar" he protested.
"That is mandatory, Shallot. You need to adapt and know how the world works. Or don't tell me that you plan to go there opening your path with the way of the fist" Rias explained firmly.
"Ehmm…"
"Absolutely no" Rias shouted.
Reluctantly, Shallot agreed, but not without reservations. "Fine, but who is going to help me with my... study?" he asked.
"I'll assign Akeno to the job. She's the most patient and smart person I know," Rias replied with a reassuring smile.
"Alright, guess I'm starting tomorrow with this," Shallot accepted, embracing the challenge ahead.
"That's the spirit! Now, let's return to our house," Rias said, leading the way. "Oh! Before you go, where exactly is your house?" Rias asked.
"It's on the forest, not too far from here" Shallot replied.
"Uhmm, could you be more specific? There are at least three forests surrounding the town" Rias said.
"I mean, when I came for the first time here, I saw the back of 'that' main building" Shallot said pointing out the school.
"Oh, I understand. I'll arrange for Akeno to give you your first history lesson tomorrow." Rias explained "That's all, see you tomorrow, Shallot"
"See you, Rias" he said flying back to his house while Rias summoned a magic circle.
As the problem of trust between Shallot and Rias was resolved, a new challenge emerged for Issei.
Couple of hours later.
Issei was dreaming about something. He was surrounded by people he knew, his friends, parents and member of the occult club.
"Who am I marrying" He thought.
"Ise, you can't look around restlessly." A familiar voice for Issei spoke. It was Rias, Issei was going to marry Rias.
"I can't believe it. So Buchou and I got into that sort of relationship without me realising it, and our relation progressed this far." Issei thought "Ah, I don't really get it, but if I can marry Buchou who I admire, then there's no problem at all!"
The priest started to say the vows but Issei was not paying attention to them, he was thinking something else.
"Marriage = husband and wife. Husband and wife = family. Family = children. Children = making babies. Making babies = sexual relation. Sexual relation = husband and wife's love affair. Husband and wife's love affair = starts from the first night of marriage. ...First night of marriage..." He thought "The first night of our marriage!?"
Then the scene switchs.
"[Come here, Ise.]"
"Buchou is laying on the bed naked inside my imagination. This means that I can, right? I mean, we are husband and wife after all, so we need to make a family."
But when he was about to take his wife, the scene changed, flames appeared surrounding the room, and an ominous voice talk to teen.
"[Looks like you're having fun, shitty brat.]"
"Who is it? Who is talking to me?" Issei asked.
Then a gigantic monster appeared in front of Issei, it was a Dragon, a red dragon.
"A DRAGON?!" he said
"That's it. That's the right deduction. I've been trying to talk to you for the whole time. But, since you were really weak, my words didn't reach you until now. Finally. Finally, I am able to appear in front of you."
"...What is this guy saying? I don't get it." Issei Thought. Appear? He has been trying to talk to me for the whole time? I don't know. I don't know about it! What? Is he trying to eat me?
But it looked that the dragon could read Issei's mind perfectly.
"Eat? Eat you who seems to taste awful? As if I would. That's not it. I just wanted to introduce myself to my partner who I will be fighting along with from now on." The dragon pointed out
"Partner? Hold on a second. I don't even know what you are talking about!" Issei replied "Dragon! Who are you—."
"You already realized it, haven't you? You probably thought about it. Yeah, that's right. I'm exactly what you think I am. Let's talk again. Aye, partner." The dragon replied.
"WAIT…WHAT THE…?!" Issei said looking his left arm, it had scales and claws coming from his fingertips.
Luckily, he woke up just at the moment he saw his arm.
"So it was just a dream," he said out loud, relieved. He then looked at his alarm clock. "4:30? It's still a little early, maybe I should rest a little... NO WAIT!" He then looked at the window just to see that Rias was waiting for him outside his house.
"CRAP, I totally forgot about the training," he thought nervously.
"Hurry up, Issei," Rias said.
"I'm coming, wait for me," Issei replied, quickly changing into a sport jersey.
"Are you ready for your training, Issei?" Rias asked, motivated.
"Yeah! Let's do this!" Issei replied with determination.
"Let's start with a running marathon, follow me!" Rias said, taking off.
Ten laps later…
"Fu… Fu… Fu…" Issei was showing signs of exhaustion.
"Hey, don't run so miserably. Or else I will add 10 more laps of dashing afterwards," Rias shouted.
"Come on, Issei, focus! Your dream of becoming the Harem King has just begun," he thought out loud once again.
"That's right, and for that you need to start from daily basic training. You have to become stronger, even by a bit." Rias said hearing what Issei said.
"I know Buchou" Issei said panting.
"For my servant to be weak is something I can't forgive." Rias replied.
The training went from a normal student basis to a Spartan elite regimen, Rias made Issei ran about 20 Km, 100 laps off dashes, push-ups, sit ups and other exercises that made workout muscles that Issei didn't knew he had.
At the same time, in another location.
Shallot was still asleep in his house, his snores echoing through the entire place. However, his peaceful slumber was interrupted by a sudden knock on the door.
"W…w…what? Who? When?" Shallot woke up abruptly, still groggy from sleep. "Oh, right, it's Akeno, and I didn't prepare anything to eat." Shallot quickly got dressed, trying to be presentable before opening the door to the girl.
"Good morning, Shallot," Akeno greeted him with a warm smile, this time she was wearing casual clothes and a bag instead of her uniform.
"Morning... Akeno," Shallot yawned, rubbing his eyes. "Sorry, I wasn't expecting you this earlier and I didn't prepare anything for us, let me light up a bonfire really quick"
Akeno chuckled at Shallot's response, finding his lack of familiarity with modern appliances amusing. "Hehe, Shallot, you do realize there's an Stove right behind you, don't you?"
"Stove? What's that?" Shallot replied, genuinely curious.
"Don't worry, I'll show you how it works. We're going to have some fun cooking together," she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "By the way, you've got a lovely house here."
"Thanks," Shallot said with a slight grin, still not entirely sure about what was happening.
They made their way to the kitchen, where Akeno noticed Shallot had stocked up on food for quite some time. "Alright, let's get started. Can you pass me that cooking pot over there, the one that looks like a jar?"
Shallot looked around and picked up the correct pot, handing it to her.
"Great job! Now, we're going to make some delicious udon," Akeno said with enthusiasm.
Together, they prepared the ingredients and cooked the udon. Akeno patiently guided Shallot through the process, "First, we pour some water inside the pot," she explained, creating a magic circle to add water to the pot. "These switches are used to light the induction stoves. You put the pot on top of one and wait for the water to boil."
Shallot nodded, trying to absorb all the information despite feeling a bit overwhelmed. He was eager to learn, though, and followed Akeno's instructions carefully. After a little while, they both finished cooking the pasta and moved on to the meat.
"Alright, this is my specialty. Watch this," Shallot said, grabbing a chunk of meat. With the power of his Ki, the piece of meat cooked instantly.
"[Clap] [Clap] Way to go, Shallot!" Akeno praised him with a smile. However, her expression quickly turned to concern when she noticed Shallot's hand started to burn.
"OUCH! OUCH!" he shouted, shaking his hand vigorously to put out the flames.
"Oh no, quickly put it there!" Akeno said, rushing to get a cold towel to soothe his burning hand.
Shallot's face flushed with embarrassment as he realized his mistake. "I guess I got a bit carried away. Sorry about that."
"It's alright. Just be more mindful next time," Akeno said kindly, placing the cold towel on his hand. "At least we can enjoy our meals now" she said.
As they sat down to enjoy the meal they had made, Shallot couldn't stop praising Akeno for her cooking skills.
"This is delicious! I've never had such a wonderful dish in my entire life. You're the best, Akeno. Could you teach me more dishes, please?" Shallot eagerly asked.
"My my, it's nothing, Shallot. I'm glad that you like it," Akeno replied, blushing a little at his compliment.
Shallot continued to enjoy the food, repeating the dishes several times, which caught Akeno's curiosity.
"Are you really that hungry? This is the fourth time you've gone for seconds. Looks like I'll need to cook more if you keep going like that," Akeno said playfully.
"Sorry, it's just that Saiyans eat a lot to recover entirely from our battles or to have more energy before one. Don't worry, I'll hunt something later in the night or maybe even catch some fish," Shallot explained.
"That's funny," Akeno replied with a mischievous smile. "Well, I hope you're ready for your first class, Shallot."
"[sigh] I guess I am," Shallot replied, not feeling too motivated.
"Oh, don't say it like that. If you work hard enough, I'll make sure you receive a very special reward," Akeno said, getting closer to Shallot and subtly rubbing his leg.
"Ehm...what are you doing? Hahaha," Shallot nervously replied, quickly moving a little further away from her.
"Oh! Excuse my manners, hehehe," Akeno replied, playfully teasing him. "Even though he's one year younger than me, he's too naïve. I guess I need to show him one or two things about seduction and flirtation."
"What was that? My heart is pounding, but I don't know why. Is it maybe because of what she did?" Shallot thought, feeling a mix of excitement and confusion at Akeno's playful advances.
"Well then, let's start, this week you are going to learn some basic demon history" Akeno replied. "And if you dominate that we will then continue to sacred gear definitions"
"Oh boy…" Shallot replied.
And so, the training began for both Shallot and Issei. For Issei, it was a grueling physical regimen, with Rias pushing him to do countless laps and intensive workouts. Each day, he felt his endurance and strength improve, and he could complete the circuit with much more ease than when he had started. Asia, always by his side, provided constant support and encouragement, cheering him on during his training sessions.
Meanwhile, Shallot's training with Akeno focused on sharpening his mind. Akeno patiently taught him the whole demon hierarchy, helping him recognize the crests of every family. Shallot worked diligently, and with Akeno's guidance, he quickly started to grasp the basics of the demon culture. She also shared to him some details about angels, fallen angels, gods, maos and sacred gears in the world they now found themselves in.
As the weeks passed, Shallot's knowledge expanded, he began to understand the complexities of the supernatural world he had become a part of. Sometimes, Koneko joined him for some physical training, and they engaged in friendly sparring matches.
The once inexperienced and unsure newcomers were now showing remarkable progress. Issei had become a more skilled and confident fighter, while Shallot had become more adept at communicating and understanding the world around him.
One month later.
Issei continued his push-up routine, feeling the weight of Rias sitting on his back. Her guidance had been invaluable, and he could feel his strength and stamina improving with each day. However, his mind couldn't help but wonder, and he found himself getting distracted by Rias's presence.
"Your ability has a meaning when your basics are high," Rias reminded him, emphasizing the importance of a strong foundation. Issei acknowledged her advice and tried to focus on his training, but his thoughts kept drifting back to the feeling of her sitting on his back.
"Uh... 65... I can't believe that Buchou is sitting on my back, the feeling of her buttocks is sup—" Issei's lecherous thoughts were interrupted as Rias whipped him, scolding him for his inappropriate behavior.
"Auu! I-I'm sorry!" Issei stammered, trying to regain his composure. "That's... 68... Thinking that you are horse riding on me... 69... is making my guts as a horse into the max gear... 70!" he continued, trying to focus solely on his training.
Rias, pleased with his progress, considered adding another hundred push-ups as a challenge. As they spoke, Asia arrived, apologizing for being late.
"Excuse me," Asia said. "Ise-san, Buchou-san! I'm sorry for being late... hauu!" She tripped, but quickly recovered.
"Don't worry about it, Asia. You're here now," Issei replied warmly.
"Ise-san, here's your tea," Asia offered.
"Y-Yeah, thanks," Issei said with a smile, grateful for the support of his friends and the rigorous training that was pushing him to become stronger each day.
"Phew, it's been one month since you and Shallot started the training," Asia commented, looking impressed with Issei's progress.
"Yeah, all this physical training is starting to pay off," Issei replied, flexing his muscles and feeling proud of his accomplishments. However, he noticed that Rias seemed a bit distant and lost in her thoughts.
"What's wrong, Buchou?" Issei asked, concerned for her.
"No, it's nothing. Let's head back to your house," Rias replied, trying to hide her thoughts.
During the time Issei was training Rias sent Asia to live in Issei's house, she used a small enchant on both Issei's parents to convince them and adopt the blonde-girl.
"Aren't you staying, Buchou?" Issei asked, a hint of disappointment in his voice.
"Sorry, Ise, but I need to take care of something," Rias replied. "Before I go, Issei, remember that tomorrow you'll have a small practice round with Shallot," Rias explained, reminding him of the upcoming training.
"Very well, it's time to show that 'Vegetable man' who only flirts with Vice President Akeno and Koneko just how much I've improved," Issei replied confidently, ready to prove himself.
"Try to save some of that for your fight. See you tomorrow, Issei, Asia," Rias said, disappearing with a magic circle.
As Issei and Asia settled into the living room, they continued talking about the training.
"Are you nervous for tomorrow, Issei-san?" Asia asked, showing concern for her friend.
Issei paused for a moment, contemplating his answer. "Not really, I'm excited. I've seen how Shallot fights, and he is amazing."
"I think I haven't had a chance to talk to him since I joined the club," Asia commented. "Rias just told me that he is an 'Alien' from another dimension."
"He's a funny guy once you get to know him," Issei replied, reflecting on the unique personality of his new friend.
"Tomorrow we will see what happens, so do your best, Issei-san," Asia said, offering her support and encouragement.
Hearing those words, Issei couldn't help but feel grateful and touched. "Oh, Asia! You are the best... sniff... sniff... you are a treasure," Issei said, hugging her back, knowing he had found a true friend in her.
Asia smiled. "Thank you, Ise-san, for your kind words."
"I know that is been a month since then, but I just can't thank you enough for saving me that day, for bringing me and making me part of your family, a family that they really care for me" Asia said.
"Don't mention it Asia, you are my friend and I will do anything for the people I care of" Issei replied.
"Hehe, let's go to sleep then. Tomorrow is your important day." Asia said holding her tears of joy.
Issei nodded and headed to his room to get some rest, but as he lay down, the dragon appeared once again in one of his dreams, ready to talk with him.
"HEY, PARTNER, it seems that tomorrow you have a fight with someone," the dragon said.
"Did you hear everything?" Issei asked, surprised by the dragon's knowledge.
"Yes, I did, every detail, about this man that is an 'Alien.' HAHAHA, what a joke," the dragon chuckled.
"How?!" Issei questioned.
"Remember that I live in your left arm," the dragon replied. "But that guy caught my attention. I have lived for countless centuries, and no man, creature, or race has ever matched the description of this 'Shallot,'" the dragon explained.
"Well, I don't know too much about him either, only that he wants to fight stronger opponents and find his brother," Issei commented. "But if you're so eager to know, tomorrow you'll see for yourself."
"By your tiny description, I see him as a more capable user of the boosted gear. Too bad he arrived too late. HAHAHA," the dragon replied, making Issei feel a surge of anger.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Issei retorted.
"HAHAHA, just go to sleep, kiddo," the dragon said, leaving Issei a little jealous.
"Ill show him, you'll see"
Next morning.
Shallot and Akeno were doing one final review of everything they had learned in the past weeks.
"Now, Shallot, could you please tell me, how many demon families existed?" Akeno asked.
"Uhm… 72?" He replied.
"That is correct," Akeno said with a smile. "Now…What is a nekomata?" She asked again.
"Uhm, it's the cat-like type of Youkai that specializes in Ki arts," he replied.
"Correct once again," Akeno praised. "And now for your final question," she said, looking more serious.
"What is a sacred gear?" Akeno inquired.
"They are the abilities granted by God to the humans of this world," he replied confidently.
"Correct. Way to go, now you know the very basics of our world, but you'll have to learn a lot more. So, I will continue teaching you until Rias orders me otherwise," Akeno commented.
"Besides, I've grown accustomed to coming here and cooking together," she added with a playful smile.
Those words made Shallot blush a little. "My my, did I just see blushes coming from you, Shallot?" Akeno pointed out, teasingly.
"No, no… [cof]… no, I just was thinking about Issei's sacred gear," he replied nervously, trying to cover up his embarrassment.
"I saw in one of our books the term 'Longinus.' Those are the special sacred gears that are capable of killing a God, right?" Shallot asked.
"That is correct," Akeno replied with a nod.
"I noticed that one of the 'Longinus' was called Boosted Gear, and I know that when we fought Raynare, Rias mentioned that Issei is the user of that sacred gear," Shallot said.
"He is indeed. Issei-san possesses the Boosted Gear," Akeno confirmed.
"That's incredible. This is getting exciting; I can't wait for our fight. I want to see how powerful he can become," Shallot replied, his anticipation evident.
"Hehe, I love that enthusiasm. Let's go and see if Rias and Issei are ready," Akeno said, leading the way towards the door.
"Wait, Akeno! I just wanted to thank you for taking your time to teach me about your world," Shallot said sincerely.
"My my, it's nothing, really. You're making me blush with those comments," Akeno replied, slightly embarrassed but also touched by Shallot's gratitude.
"Let's go" Shallot replied.
Minutes later
The group met up in the backyard of the school for the training session. Shallot started warming up, stretching his limbs and focusing his energy for the upcoming confrontation. Issei, too, began flexing his muscles, getting himself pumped up for the fight. Asia stood ready with her Twilight Healing, prepared to step in if things got out of hand.
"How are you feeling, Issei?" Asia asked, a hint of nervousness in her voice.
"Good, I'll show him who's boss," Issei replied confidently.
"Just remember not to get too carried away," Rias commented, reminding Issei to stay focused and controlled during the fight. She wanted him to make the most of his training but not lose sight of his objective.
As for the other part, Akeno and Kiba stood beside Shallot, providing support and encouragement. Akeno reminded Shallot to be mindful not to go too hard on Issei, as they were only having a training session. Kiba echoed her sentiment, suggesting that they should assess Issei's true potential without causing any harm.
Koneko, however, had a different perspective. She held a grudge against Issei for his perverted antics, and secretly wanted to see him pay for his actions. Her stoic expression gave away nothing, but her desire for Issei to face some consequences was clear.
Once everyone was in position, Rias explained the rules of the training fight. It was meant to be a friendly spar, with certain limitations: no Ki blasts, no flying, and the fight would stop if either one of them surrenders or gets knocked out.
"Alright, go to your positions," Rias ordered, signaling the start of the match.
Issei and Shallot locked eyes, both brimming with resolve and determination. Issei summoned the Boosted Gear, and a deep voice echoed through the air, chanting "BOOST." The power surged within Issei as he prepared to face his formidable opponent. Meanwhile, Shallot took on his battle stance, his Saiyan instincts kicking in, ready to push himself to the limit.
"And... BEGIN!" Rias's voice rang out, marking the start of the intense training battle. Both combatants wasted no time, charging at each other with incredible speed. Issei delivered a powerful punch, aiming straight for Shallot's chest, but Shallot quickly dodged and countered with a lightning-fast kick that Issei blocked at the last second.
"Not bad, his reflexes are getting sharper" The Saiyan thought.
"Ouch! My right arm that hurt!" he commented lunching a kick back to Shallot.
The Saiyan parried the kick with his hand, then with a swift motion, Shallot executed a graceful backflip, landing behind Issei launching a powerful double kick on his back.
The intense battle continued, with Shallot and Issei exchanging powerful blows and evasive maneuvers. The voice echoed once more, "BOOST." Issei activated his second boost, but he couldn't help but feel that something was different.
"That's my second boost, but why don't I feel the same power I had when I punched Raynare?" Issei wondered.
The dragon within the Boosted Gear responded, "That's because you experienced a power surge when the sacred gear evolved during your fight with Raynare."
"Oh, I see," Issei realized, understanding the reason behind the change.
"I see you are struggling with this guy, no wonder. He has an enormous potential that could rival my power," the dragon commented, observing the intense battle.
"What?! And you say that just now?" Issei retorted, surprised by the dragon's revelation.
"Dodge again, he is coming," the dragon warned, alerting Issei to the imminent attack.
Shallot charged forward, aiming for a punch to Issei's gut, but Issei's agility allowed him to dodge the attack just in time.
"Huh? You are getting more and more quick as the time passes, Issei. It looks like that Boosted Gear of yours doesn't just increase your strength but your whole attributes," Shallot commented, impressed by Issei's improvement.
"BOOST. I guess you noticed how my sacred gear works now, huh?" Issei replied, activating his third boost.
"That's his third boost. I should be taking this more seriously," Shallot thought, recognizing the increase in Issei's power.
As the battle raged on, Issei continued to communicate with the dragon within his sacred gear. "You are doing great, partner. You haven't touched the alien once," the dragon mocked Issei.
"Then what do you suggest?" Issei asked, eager to hear the dragon's advice.
"Well, your current limit is 5 boosts, and by the look of it, this guy is stronger than that," the dragon explained. "And he is pushing you again."
Indeed, Shallot launched another relentless barrage of punches at Issei, who did his best to block and evade. While Issei managed to dodge most of the blows, a few connected, causing him to wince in pain.
Feeling an opportunity, Shallot lunged forward, but Issei's determination kicked in. He grabbed Shallot by the neck and with a burst of strength, threw him away, creating some distance between them.
"He is getting closer to my power now" Shallot thought.
This time, Shallot approached Issei with a newfound caution, carefully analyzing every move Issei could make. "I know what to do now," Shallot thought. Swiftly, the Saiyan delivered a low kick that tripped Issei off balance, and with lightning speed, followed up with a quick punch to his chest. "BOOST," Shallot activated his power, aiming to gain the upper hand.
Issei, however, quickly recovered from the attack, retaliating with a kick to Shallot's gut, and in the blink of an eye, he landed a powerful punch to Shallot's face. "Yeah! That's what I'm talking about," Issei thought, feeling the rush of adrenaline.
"Well done, partner, but this is your limit. You can't boost more than this," the dragon within the Boosted Gear commented, reminding Issei of his current capabilities.
"Let's see how this goes" Issei replied to the dragon.
"That was quite a punch, Issei," Shallot said, wiping some dust from his face. "Now it's my turn."
With a focused mind, Shallot analyzed Issei's movement patterns, realizing that Issei was relying on throwing punches in hopes of landing a hit. "Which leaves him quite open right... HERE!"
Shallot's instincts kicked in as he rushed forward, gracefully dodging all of Issei's attacks with remarkable agility. In a split second, he positioned himself behind Issei, delivering a precise Karate chop to the back of Issei's neck, rendering him unconscious.
"Well you did what you could partner" the dragon commented.
"That's enough," Rias commented, stepping in to end the match. "The winner is Shallot."
With the battle concluded, Asia quickly rushed over to Issei's side, activating her Twilight Healing to tend to his injuries. Meanwhile, Akeno and Kiba congratulated Shallot on his victory.
"You did a great job, Shallot. Your fighting style is impressive," Akeno praised.
"Yeah, you totally need to teach me how to do those mortal flips," Kiba replied, impressed by Shallot's agility.
"…Impressive, Shallot-sempai," Koneko added with a hint of admiration in her voice.
"It was nothing, really, but let me check how Issei's doing," Shallot said, rushing towards his demon friend.
"How is he, Asia?" Shallot asked the blonde girl. "I tried not to aim for vital points."
"Aside from a couple of bruises and scratches, he's fine," Asia replied, grateful for Shallot's consideration.
"Your power is really useful, Asia. The ability to heal any physical damage is impressive," Shallot commented, acknowledging the significance of Asia's Twilight Healing.
"Thank you kindly, Shallot. I heard from Issei that you played an important role in rescuing me," Asia said, expressing her gratitude.
"I just helped them; it was Issei's idea to prevent Raynare's plan," Shallot humbly added.
Rias joined the conversation, offering her congratulations to Shallot. "Congratulations, Shallot. I hope Issei learns something from watching you fight."
"I have some tips for him once he wakes up," Shallot said, eager to help his friend improve.
"He's finished healing; we just need to wait for him to wake up," Asia explained. "Do you want me to take care of your wounds too, Shallot?"
"Sure, I have some scratches on my face," Shallot replied.
Asia gently placed both of her hands on Shallot's face, and a soothing green light enveloped him, healing both his wounds and replenishing his Ki energy.
"Oh wow! Your sacred gear can restore my energy too," Shallot commented, pleasantly surprised by Asia's Twilight Healing.
"Really? I'm happy to help," Asia replied with a warm smile.
Akeno approached Asia to discuss the situation. "Your Twilight Healing can restore both physical damage and energy of a person," she explained. "But what is interesting is that it's compatible with Shallot's Ki energy."
"Aren't our team full of surprises," Rias said with a chuckle.
After some time, Issei finally woke up from his knockout.
"Ugh... what happened?" Issei groaned, slowly getting up.
.
"You got knocked out, but you put up a good fight, Issei," Rias said, offering a hand to help him up.
"Oh... I'm sorry, Buchou. I really wanted to win," Issei said, feeling a bit down.
"Heh, don't worry, Issei. You are getting stronger, but you should work on your technique too," Shallot replied, trying to be encouraging.
Hearing this made Issei feel a little uncomfortable, but he knew it was true.
"He's right, kiddo. You still have much to learn," the dragon chimed in. "He's a very interesting being; it's been a while since a formidable opponent appeared right before me."
"I know he's right, but since he arrived, I haven't had the opportunity to prove myself to Rias or Asia," Issei thought, feeling a bit frustrated. But his thoughts were interrupted by Shallot.
"Look, Issei, you have great potential, but you still lack a fighting style. You threw punches hoping that one would land on me," Shallot explained.
"Then what do you suggest?" Issei said, eager to improve.
"I could help you learn some fighting techniques so that you can form your own fighting style," Shallot offered.
Issei thought about it for a moment, swallowing his pride, and then he accepted the offer.
"Alright, I'm in. Teach me how to fight," Issei said with determination.
"Good were starting tomorrow then" Shallot said.
"Yeah! I'll train hard and catch up to you," Issei said with determination in his eyes.
"Well then the day is over tomorrow we will have some discussion about the trainings," Rias ordered and everybody returned to their houses.
As night arrived, Issei lay in his bed, deep in thought about what Shallot had said earlier. Learning a fighting style... It sounded like a promising idea, but also a daunting task. He couldn't deny that he lacked a clear focus in his battles, often relying on his instincts and raw power rather than a well-defined strategy.
"Maybe Shallot is right," Issei mused to himself. "I can't just rely on my Boosted Gear alone. I need to develop my own style, something that sets me apart from others."
He thought back to the fight with Shallot and how effortlessly the Saiyan seemed to predict his moves and counter his attacks. Shallot's fluid movements and precise strikes were a stark contrast to Issei's wild punches.
Issei paced back and forth in his room, grappling with his thoughts and emotions. "I must get strong, that's how I'm going to be able to prove myself of worth to Rias," he said to himself. He knew that gaining strength and honing his skills as a fighter would be the key to earning Rias' trust and respect.
"And I also need to remove my perv thoughts, my accident with Asia in the bathroom today…" he added with frustration.
But it wasn't an easy task. "Grghh," Issei grunted, feeling the internal struggle.
But after Issei could keep thinking about himself the floor of his room glowed with an intense light, forming a familiar symbol—the Gremory family circle. Issei's heart raced as he wondered who could be using their magic-circle to teleport into his room.
A figure emerged from the magical glow—a girl with crimson hair. It was Rias, his beautiful and powerful president, but something was different. She seemed troubled, her expression mirroring the unease she had back in the clubroom.
"Buchou...?" Issei asked, feeling a mix of curiosity and concern.
Rias approached him, her eyes locked onto his. She seemed hesitant, as if wrestling with her own emotions. Then, she spoke the words that left Issei stunned.
"Make love to me."
