Then one night, she decided to run away while her step uncles were away. Her step uncles always hang out with their friends outside of the house. She just decided that.

Carrying nothing, but a bag that held carried inside a photo of her parents, her mother's necklace and her father's chain, she started to run away. She made the bag herself and she had it tied around her waist. Finally, Debbie was on her way to freedom.
She stowed away on buses and on trains and most of the time, she walked. Then finally, she stopped at Anaheim California. She walked to the city and tried to find a place to stay. Then she found a box that seems big enough for her to take shelter.
After her meal from the trash which is soft vegetables that are still edible, she looked at the stars. She saw two of them twinkling in the night sky. She thinks it's her parents. Tears then started to form in her eyes and she cried herself to sleep.
Debbie didn't stay in one place too long. She had to hide to avoid the police. During a month of her stay in the streets of Anaheim, she made three pets that are aliens. A purple alien with a trunk of an elephant, and two fuzz balls. She named the purple alien with a trunk of an elephant Squeaker and one fuzz ball that is gold and orange Gadget and his twin sister who has light pink fur Periwinkle.
They helped her by keeping an eye for the police. What Debbie and her alien pets don't know is that her life is going to change forever.
