Hello everyone, I'm back with a new chapter! Happy reading!

Vanessa accepted Elijah's hand to help lift her up to the boat and he turned around to accept the keys from the driver. "I have it from here on out, you may go now." He said, dismissing him. The driver left, eventually leaving herself and Elijah alone.

She almost gapped unattractively when she noticed a rather decorative oak table covered by a neat silk like table cloth to the match brown color with candles lit and a nice looking basket and wine glasses. The boat had been decorated with little twinkle lights people usually used for christmas decorations.

"Oh, it's beautiful Elijah." She gasped out as she continued to look on at the place around them. "She certainly is." He purred out, causing her to look at him with surprise only to blush to see that he was looking at her with dark eyes, eyeing her in her dress and such. He held his arm out like a gentleman to which she accepted with a gentle smile. "Why thank you dear sir." She said cheekily, gaining a smirk from him.

He pulled her chair out for her, allowing her to sit down before he did so himself. "I hope you like wine, I'm a little old school I'm afraid, I only prefer the good stuff." He said as he brought out a bottle from a cooler filled with ice. "I would love some actually. I'm always happy to try different types of wine." She said, raising her glass for a dip.

He gracefully poured her some wine before he went on and did the same for himself and relaxed into his chair to give her a look. "How have you been fairing so far today? I know we're still getting to know one other, but I would like to know you more if you'd let me." He admitted to her, almost a bit too softly for her to hear. She caught the words though, and she gulped down a bit of the wine to help loosen up a bit.

"Well, you know I'm a witch correct?" She asked him and he nodded to her, letting her know he knew. "Yes, I also know from a few resources that your rather famous in your world as Vanessa Potter, the girl who lived." He said with a slight sneer at the nickname.

She gave him a grim smile as she sat her glass down on the table. "Then I presume you probably know of me well enough already." She said sadly. He shook his head though, surprising her. "I may know of you my love, but I want to know the real you. Not what the whole world knows, but what is there about you that you do know is what I would like to understand more of." He said to her softly, gently grabbing her hand in soft hold, getting her to look at him directly in the eyes.

In Vanessa's mind, the date went on after that well into the night. Elijah had been the perfect gentleman and he treated her to a rather delicious dinner. Apparently he had made her a homemade lasagna that he built together from scratch and a large bowl of chicken salad as a starter. Afterwards, they enjoyed a nice glass of red wine at the end of the boat to over see the scenery of the lake before them as they continued talking through the night.

They ended the night with her curled up at his side and a nice thick blue blanket laid out over her as he kept guard, letting her feel a sense of safety she hadn't felt in a long time.

She blinked her eyes opened blerrily at the bright sun light and she groaned a bit as she stretched her body out wide almost similar to a cat. "Good morning, my love." A voice perked up a bit and she turned around to see Elijah waiting at the table they had dined in the night before with a fresh pot of coffee waiting for them.

She gave him a bright smile. "Good morning, I'm sorry I fell asleep on you last night. I think it must have been the wine." She admitted rather sheepishly. Elijah just grinned at her and handed her a cup and the two containers that held milk and sugar. She thanked him for the drink and sighed in delight at the aroma of the coffee.

She watched on when he pulled his phone out to check his messages and she frowned when he scowled. "Is something wrong?" She asked him softly. "I have to check in with some of the warlocks that work for me. Apparently they have managed to run into some trouble while I was away. I'm afraid I'll have to take you home before I take care of some business." He said, frowning.

She sighed, feeling a bit disappointed but she understood why he had to go. She remembered parts of their conversation last night that he had some of the witches and wizards in his tutelage to try and hunt down his brother, or at the very least, keep an eye on any news based on his whereabouts.

"I understand, Elijah. No worries." She reassured him. He still continued to frown though. "I don't like leaving you though. Not with Elena across the street." He said worriedly. She just merely gave him a soft look. "I'll be fine Elijah, my friend Draco will be with me. And even Damon might end up coming around later with more news on the scooby do crew as he likes to call them." She said with a bit of a light laugh at the name.

Elijah merely smirked at her words. "A fitting name to describe them honestly. Are you ready to head on home then?" He asked her softly. She nodded and made sure her wand was still on her. "I'm all set." She said and he wrapped her up in his arms and used his vampire speed to get to her place almost rather quickly.

She stumbled a bit on her feet when they landed to a stop on her front porch, but his strong arm kept her steady and thankfully upright. "Thank you. It was a wonderful time, Lijah." She said, his eyes looked deep into hers when she shortened his name a little by skipping out on the E, letting them both know it was a good one.

He smiled, leaned down and gently kissed her on the forehead. Her eyes closed at the sensation of his warmth until she felt a gust of wind that had her hair blowing off of her shoulders and she sighed when she saw he had sped off, presumably to meet up with the other warlocks. She looked on at her street, and saw that Elena had already gone, but Jeremy was on the porch and he waved at her when he noticed her staring.

She gave him a wave back and smiled when he beamed at the hello. She grabbed her purse and made sure to pull her keys out so she could make her way inside the house. Thankfully everything was quiet and still clean, the same way she left it. She breathed a bit easier, knowing she can now trust Draco to stick to his words a bit more.

"Draco! Are you home?" She called out for him, hoping he'd answer. She heard a loud thump and some cursing that had her raising an eyebrow at the ceiling in confusion. Wondering just what on earth he had been doing. He walked down the stairs, shirt ruffled and hair unkept.

She looked at him, amused. Draco usually had pride in his appearance, so to see him so unruffled was a surprise. "Where have you been? No one knew where you were." He stated as he eyed her up and down in curiosity.

She rolled her eyes at him. "If you must have to know, Dragon." She said with a smirk that had him scowling at her with the nickname. "I was out on a date with Elijah. He took me out for dinner on the lake with a boat and such. The wine made me fell asleep last night." She admitted to it that had him smirking back at her now.

"I see, well then. No worries. Now, do we have any coffee or tea at least? None of that American stuff if we do." He asked her and she nodded. "Everything is in the kitchen, help yourself. I'm going to go change out of this dress, so I'll be down in a few moments." She told him, and he waved at her before making his way into her kitchen.
