Taylor's decision not to move out (or at least, deciding to postpone moving out) seemed like the right one at the time. She never considered that the turtles and April would want to stay in each other's lives. The question is, does she want them to be part of her life? Sequel to "Raphael's Big Mistake".

8. Brace

Leonardo answers her question a moment later.

"Actually, we wanted to talk to you about something."

Taylor's bracing herself for the warnings and the threats when Leo says: "We figured we owed you a thanks, for keeping our secret."

Oh-kay. That's not what she was expecting.

"We know you both could have gained a lot from telling people about us," Donatello continues, gesturing at April and Casey, "and you've got your reasons, too, Taylor, but you didn't say anything, so thanks for having our backs."

"Yeah, 'cos that's what family's for, Donnie," April tells him, smiling warmly.

Donatello shifts about, and if he were human Taylor's sure he'd be blushing. That's fair enough - she'd blush too if someone said something like that to her.

"You've got our backs," Leonardo says, looking at each of the humans in turn, "and we've got yours."

Next moment, the brothers have opened the window and left.

Taylor relaxes the moment they're gone.
