Max follows toward their direction. He doesn't seem to be distracted but I know that he was once in love with Abby as well. He didn't refuse Abby when she kissed him even that time he was already not single . Max clinches his fist
"I want to bring my girlfriend to the party tomorrow ." Max inhales fast.
"However max you know that she is four's mother . You can't do that." I shake my head
"I need your help. I need you to talk to four ." Max says." You have a whole morning."
I lower my head . Alan wraps me in his arms.
"I can ask hana to do that." Alan kisses my forehead ." Max don't force her please."
"I am not. I am asking. I don't know who he will trust . Four seems to be trusted with Delia." Max sighs." Evelyn is pregnant with my baby and I worry that Marcus will abuse her ."
I realize that Marcus was abusive in four's fear so I have to save Evelyn and the baby too
"I will talk to him." I nod at max.
"Thank you Delia." Max smiles at me ." Alan tomorrow go to abnegation with me . I have to bring her out of that night mare zone ."
"Yeah sure I will do it." Alan sighs
Alan is tired . Max leaves and Alan collapsed
"Alan are you okay!" I help him to sit down.
"I am fine . I just don't know how is it going to work ." Alan rests his head on my shoulder
"You should go to sleep. You are tired Alan." I say
Alan holds me up. I wrap my arm around his neck
"Now it is too late for you to go back to dorm and you should stay with me ."'Alan smirks
"Fine ." I roll my eyes
He brings me into his room and puts me on the bed .
"You can take shower tomorrow ." Alan sleeps beside me
"I can't . I don't smell good ." I shake my head
"No you are perfect. It's too late ."'Alan wraps me in his arms
I close my eyes . He kisses my forehead and he falls into sleep too. The second morning when I wake up， then I am nervous
"Today I will talk to four . Don't worry . I will actually tell him everything" I shrug
"Don't hurt yourself . If you can't， then it isn't your fault." Alan grabs my hand
I dressed up and leave the room. Four is walking toward the cafeteria .
"Four do you want to eat private . I have something to talk to you." I take out the key." We can go grab the food and eat at Alan's place. He is going out with max ."
"Sure , I can come talk to you." Four nods at me
We enter the cafeteria and take some food . We sneak upstair to Alan's room.
"So quick, I am going . Enjoy your self . " Alan kisses my forehead.
"Bye honey." I say
I sit down with four . I poke at the potato wedges .
"What do you want to talk to me ?" Four days
"You know that max has a girlfriend right?" I blink at him
"Yes ." Four nods at me ." What is that about our conversation."
I don't know how to tell him. I am out of my mind
"She is your mom." I lower my head." I have to tell you the truth." She is having Max's baby."
"What? Why did my mom in relationship with max?" Four is calmer than I thinks
"She was abused by your dad Tobias . So she seeks protection from dauntless and then you know love happens" I shrug ." 'Max wishes that I can help you accept that. If he doesn't move your mom to dauntless, then your future sister or brother will be killed by Marcus ."
"I will try and I know that my father is very abusive . So she is coming this afternoon." Four days
I receive a phone call now and pick up. It is already 10
"Alan?" I ask
"Evelyn is dying . Marcus abused her again. The baby is dying too. I need you go to hospital now ." Alan sighs." I need doctor to be ready ."
"I will go with four now ." I stand up." On the way."
I hang up and run out of the room. Zeke and Uriah come
"What is wrong." Zeke runs beside me .
"I have to go to hospital." I run out of the compound
The train comes and I hop on the train. Four and Zeke get on top with Uriah . I sit down beside four
"That really sucks ." I scream." Fuck him marcus ."
"Calm down." Four wraps his arm around me .
"She is your mother . How can you tell me to calm down!" I cry
Zeke is shocked. He didn't know that Evelyn is Max's girlfriend .
"Your mom needs help." I say
We reach hospital . Evelyn is already there . Alan and max sit there
" how is my mom." Four smiles
"She is good and baby is also good ." Max stands up." I am sorry four . I don't know how to talk to you about this ."
"I understand this . I accept that but I need time to call you dad." Four sits down
Alan holds me in his arm. He had blood on his hand
"Are you alright." I brush his face
"I am fine . I beat Marcus up . That's all. We report that Evelyn was killed by Factionless . We will give her a new name and Hana will talk to Jack kang." Alan says
"Good . Alan be careful." I kiss him
Doctor comes out. He looks at me for a long time
"Prior, you guys can come in." Doctor nods at us
We enter the room. Four stands beside the bed
"Mom." Four calls her
"Yes Tobias ." Evelyn smiles faintly ." I and max are going to marry."
"I am fine with it but I can't call him dad yet." Four is very sad
Max hugs four . Four is silent . Alan sits down
"You are bleeding Alan ." Max points at him
I see that his arm is bleeding. I scream for doctor
"It's fine Delia. I am dauntless . Dauntless always get injured ." Alan grabs me
"I am really sorry ." I cry
Nurse helps him to clean his wound . They wrap his arm with bandage .
"Are you fine ." I rest my head on his shoulder." I am sorry that I wasn't there ."
"I am happy that you weren't because that was dangerous ." Alan hugs me ."I will never ever lay my hand on you."
"I know Alan." I close my eyes
Jason is here . He is not wearing blue anymore
"Delia." Jason has red eyes.
"Yes Jason?" I stand up." What is wrong here ?"
"I will take that in today ." Jason takes out his medicine
I nod at him. Alan looks at us for a long time .
"Delia . I really thank you." Jason hugs me .
"You are welcome . We are friends." I smile
"Please find a good position for Eric . He is my only brother ." Jason shiver
I know that he really loves Eric . Jason brushes my hair
"Be careful of him as well. Delia , Eric is working with erudite maybe " Jason sighs .
He let go of me . I stare at him. He puts his finger on his lips.
"See you in the future ." Jason leaves
"What did he tell you." Alan asks
"Nothing." I shake my head
I know that Jason wants me to keep as a secret so I can't let him down.
"I am your boyfriend . Why Delia? What are you hiding from me ." Alan is screaming.
"I am not talking to you if you are this over reacting, that mean you don't trust me ." I run away
"Delia I am sorry. I do trust you but it is just that I feel insecure ." Alan hugs me
I realize those wound on his back symbolize the same things which four went through
"I will tell you one day okay? I don't know how to say it now ." I sigh
"I will wait ." Alan smiles
"Thank you ." I nod at him
I shouldn't hide it but I need to find out the truth. They are not Candor . However sometime Candor do lie if they are divergent because they can control things.
"Let's go back now ." Max comes out
We return to dauntless compound . We are here to be ready for the rank announcement.
"So if you rank above the red line , then you will be able to continue your training. If you ranked below the red line , then you will leave us to be Factionless ." Max points at the board ." Here is your stage one ranking."
We all look at the screen . The name appears . Edward first and then I am second . Edward's opponents are all strong but mine is weaker so he is first.
"Good job." I hug Edward
"Thank you . You are amazing too." Edward giggles.
"Hey." Alan coughs
Edward and I separated from each other .
"Abby is 15. Just a little bit, she will be factionless." Elizabeth sighs." Too bad ."
"Why Delia can be ranked second? It is all because she has Alan." Abby points at me .
"So if she has me , then she should be the first . Am I right ? Edward ?" Alan smirks." I have the right to alternate all the rank including yours . With one finger , you will be factionless . I believe max doesn't has opposition to that."
"Yes I don't deny that."
Max is sleepy now . He walks toward Alan and pats him on his back
"If it is necessary ,then just do it." Max leaves
"Alan please don't, I am fine ."
