It kills him some nights, the dreams and the memories. Other times, John only wakes slowly from the dreams, able to look over and see Sherlock's face sleeping restfully, and he's able to go back to sleep. Other times, John doesn't dream at all. A brief oneshot.

I never thought we would ever see each other again. I didn't think he cared enough to even look for me. I guess I was wrong 'cause here I am, five years later, reunited with the world's famous detective, Sherlock Holmes, aiding him and John Watson in solving whatever dangerous crimes were thrown their way. Even though I was the one who left, I don't everwant to be separated again.

Sherlock decides to take one thing undercover with him to connect him to home. what screams 'home' to Sherlock Holmes? after an endless two years clinging to this item how will the actual reunion go?

Sherlock had no difficulties whatsoever experimenting on himself. He did it all the time. But becoming the subject of someone else's experiments did not sit well at all. At first.

The census that has Mycroft and Sherlock Holmes also listed a few other names. "Annie" was the one that caught my attention and, a few sleep-deprived nights later, Ainsley Holmes was born. For the timeline's sake, she is four years younger than Sherlock. The first few chapters will be disappointingly parallel to canon but they'll quickly spiral out of any semblance of control :)
