The commander woke up in the morning with a slight headache. She didn't remember half of the night and honestly, it was probably better that way. That was unless she realized there is a body next to her. She froze before slowly turning to the side only to see her favorite asari cuddling at her side. Her first instinct was to quickly look under the cover and with a sigh of relief she noticed both of them are fully clothed.

She was really glad because otherwise, it would be really awkward.

She sighed in contentment as the asari cuddled closer. She didn't mind sharing her bed with Liara, not at all. She was actually quite happy, but…there was always the 'but'.

Chloe couldn't help but think that if being here with Samantha would feel different. Just as this thought came a little smile grazed her lips as the commander thought about Tali being in Liara's position. She believed the cute quarian would be the best in cuddles.

Another sigh followed her thoughts this time it was a deep desperate one. She couldn't decide which of the three girls is closest to her. She can't have feelings for all three of them simply because all three of them would think she is just crazy.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, for her her thoughts were interrupted as the asari woke up. She blinked her eyes open, looking around, quite confused before her eyes settled on the commander and the fact she is way closer than she probably should be. So of course she released Chloe from the cuddle and pulled slightly away while blushing. "S-sorry…"

Shepard was having a little smile on her face from the time she saw the other girl opening her eyes. "Don't be…I mean unless you broke into my room last night just to cuddle me…" The smile turned into a little teasing grin.

"N-no!" Liara panicked for a few moments. "You said that as a winner of Mario Kart, my reward is to spend a night in your cabin…"

Shephard's smile fell as she got surprised by her words. "Oh my, I'm a drunken idiot…"

Liara calmed at Chloe's words and chuckled softly.."You're not…it was actually quite sweet…" As if trying to prove her words she softly kissed Shepard's cheek.

The action made the human blush this time but the kiss wasn't unwelcome if the tightening of the arm that was around asari was anything to go by.

"Plus I think everyone except me was almost as drunk as you…" She looked carefully at the commander. "So…you don't need to worry about anyone remembering…"

Shepard let out a puff of air before shaking her head, refusing to let the asari think she would be ashamed because of her. "I just don't want Wrex making fun of me for having to be drunk to get someone to visit me…" Then she cast a careful look at the asari. "Sorry for dragging you into this." A soft sigh followed.

Liara shook her head, deciding to not point out that everyone will mostly remember Shepard's dance moves than her saying she is taking the winner into her cabin. "It's okay really…" She looked at her deciding to be a bit braver. "You have a comfy bed and you're a good company…" She was a bit braver but she still refused to mention it was actually her who cuddled the commander so she should be the one apologizing.

Chloe chuckled and looked at Liara with a soft smile. "You're very good company too…" She opened her arms, wanting Liara to cuddle her again. "Sooooo how about coming back here…?"

The asari was once again blushing but she started moving to the redhead with a smile. Unfortunately for both, before she could lean into the embrace Joker's voice sounded through the intercom. "We will be docking in the citadel in ten minutes commander."

Shepard groaned loudly and had to fight every cell in her body to not throw something at the place the intercom was.

Of course, his words made Liara pull away again. This time even got up from the bed with a sigh of her own. "Well…I should let you get ready…"

The commander got up as well, only to stop the other woman by taking her hand. As the asari turned to her Chloe pulled her closer, placing her hand on her hip and inching her face closer. It felt natural to lean to the asari and she knew she really wanted to connect her lips to the girl opposite of her.

Liara didn't fight it at all and met Shepard halfway as they shared a very soft and sweet kiss. One of her own hands traveled to Chloe's face, softly cupping her cheek.

They pulled away eventually. Both of them breathing heavily. Liara was having a little shy smile on her face while Shepard was grinning brightly.

Of course, the redhead was still high from the kiss as she spoke. "My doors are open if you ever…" There was a slight pause in her words as once again her cheeks turned a bit pink. "...want to enjoy my comfy bed and my presence again…" She actually cringed at that and released her hold on the asari. "I swear I meant it way more innocently than it came out…"

Liara couldn't help a soft chuckle that escaped her lips. "You ARE really cute…"

Shepard straightened her shoulders and tried to look as regal as possible. "I'm not cute…I'm badass."

One more chuckle followed. Liara decided it was enough excitement for one day especially as Chloe had places to be so without another word, but with a little soft smile that was promising that she will be back, she left.

Just as the door closed behind her Shepard pouted and spoke to herself quietly. "I AM badass…"

The things on the citadel actually moved fast. The council grounded the Normandy, not wanting her to follow Saren. To be honest, the commander wasn't even surprised at this point. She learned to expect nothing else than complaints and 'no' from the council. She tried to think about any way how they could get off of there and go to Ilos but before she could even think about anything she got a message from Anderson to meet her. The former captain of the Normandy had a plan. Shepard wasn't one to say no to any help she could get and so she went back to the Normandy waiting while Anderson went to punch Udina, something Chloe was really jealous of, and set the Normandy free so they could go to the Ilos.

This one is very short (slightly over 1k words) and I'm sorry for that fact but I needed to split it somewhere and this seemed the most natural place (otherwise the next chapter would be like 200 words :D)

But as a peace offering I will finish the ME1 timeline in the next chapter sooo it probably will be longer than usual (maybe) 😅
