The victims of abusive relationships are not always fragile little women who are unable to defend themselves. John ends up taking more than he should from his new girlfriend. Sherlock initially finds it amusing but gets increasingly concerned as things progress. I suspect the chapters will end up longer and longer, they start off short.

John is used to being attacked by criminal madmen wanting to get to Sherlock, but this time he is determined that they will not succeed. The only questions are how long can he hold out and how long can he hide what is going on from Sherlock.
