Bianca was still in the Captain's Cabin, her gaze fixed on her wings. It was still hard to believe. How had she fallen? Gods, what had she done to make this happen? "Can I even go back to Ether?"
The angel sighed, turning her face to the window overlooking the sea in front of her. She was the first angel to fall in how long? Centuries? Millennia? Since the war against the gods started by the Demon Kings a long time ago, there had been no reports of fallen angels. "What do I do now?"
She stared at her reflection, feeling a sinking feeling in her chest seeing the wings and halo without the glow she had grown accustomed to for centuries. The angel lowered her head, taking a deep breath.
Her moment was interrupted when she heard the cabin doors open, turning immediately to see Scarlet enter with his cockatoo still on his shoulder. "Feeling better?" The captain asked, receiving a slight nod from the fallen.
"I imagine the crew is curious to see me." She approached the David. "It's not every day you see an angel."
"Well, yes. But you're not exactly the only exotic presence on my ship, ma'am."
"What do you mean by that?" The fallen asked, raising one of her eyebrows in curiosity.
"Oh, you'll see. Follow me." The redhead declared, opening the doors that went straight to the main deck, and immediately the entire crew turned their gazes towards both the moment thy stepped outside.
"... That's a lot of sailors." The angel counted how many heads there were around her, and on the main deck alone she saw more than thirty, maybe forty? Above there were probably more in the crow's nest, as well as the stern deck behind or the quarters below. And now that she saw it, the size of that ship… "Four masts… Is that a galleon?"
"And the best you'll find from here to Kryagi." Scarlet declared with a smile, spreading his arms wide as he walked to the center of the deck, receiving the crew's full attention. "Sailors, meet Bianca. And Bianca… Meet the crew of The Omen, my ship!"
They all shouted in unison with their captain, who nodded in approval as he watched the fallen take a look at everyone there. "You're the captain of your own galleon? Impressive, especially considering the size of the crew such a ship usually needs."
"Hey, he does the job well." A nagi with brownish scales said, receiving a wave from two tritons beside her. "There's no one else we'd follow."
"Captain David gave his life for most of us in the Mavovrounio Bay Incident." One of several triton, one who bore a horizontal scar across his exposed chest, remembered. "Devotion inspires bravery, bravery inspires sacrifice, sacrifice leads to loyalty."
"Is that basically how your crew was formed?" Bianca questioned David, who nodded, smiling at the triton.
"It's a longer story than that, but yeah. One thing led to another that night, and we formed the crew after stealing this galleon."
"Wait, steal?" Realization finally hit the angel, seeing that no one there dressed like a sailor straight from one of the kingdoms. "You are all pirates."
"Something against?" A dark elf questioned, seeing the fallen put up an uncertain face.
"Well, I had my job as an angel, and mine was to judge the souls that Death or one of the Heralds brought me, which included many criminals…"
The sailors looked at each other, realizing the situation they were in now. The angel that everyone would meet in death... Fell. "Would you be offended if I was relieved by this information?"
"... I refrain from answering, thank you." Bianca said, causing David to shrug.
"Fair enough. Anyway…" The redhead immediately started introducing the crew to the angel, who followed him with her gaze. First he went to the nagi from before, who waved to the angel. "This is Lacce, former student of the bard college in Vale." The nagi rolled her eyes at the information, and soon he went to the scarred triton. "Meet Ninris Ruhnazath, or Nin for short."
The dark elf from before smiled at the angel, pointing to herself. "Ather Ghorogna, it's a pleasure."
From then onwards the fallen was introduced to several other crew members, including Ilyn who she had heard of before. It was easy at first, but a galleon, which normally carries about two hundred sailors… Fortunately, it didn't look like everyone was there, some must have been sleeping already. It wasn't long before she was taken to the stern deck, seeing three more figures, one sitting on the stern edge.
Okay, we're finishing up." Scarlet walked over to the helm, where Sage leaned beside it. "This is my boatswain, Sage Ayana."
The green-haired naga nodded to the angel, who reciprocated with a small bow with her fingers on his forehead. "Salaam."
The captain and boatswain exchanged glances, and the naga smiled at the young woman. "Ahn, ma'am, I didn't grow up among the nagi tribes, so I don't use traditional greetings."
"Oh." Bianca raised her eyebrows in surprise, scratching the back of her neck. "Sorry I did not know."
"Oh, no problem. Honestly, I should have been more respectful if that were the case." Ayana stated, offering her a handshake, which she accepted. "I didn't grow up with the traditions and culture of my people, but I know a few things. Should I use the honorific "-ji" to refer to you?"
"No need, don't worry." Her eyes returned to her wings with slight annoyance. "I lost the prestige I had when I fell."
"I'm sorry about that."
"I'm thankful for that."
"Now there are only two more people to go." Immediately after Scarlet said this, Bianca saw a certain blue triton approaching, and as soon as her eyes saw the pendant around his neck, her mouth dropped open.
"You are Neptune Vasilias, the fugitive prince of Chryvatos!"
The said one got a sweatdrop. "Miss, I'd rather not talk about it."
"I…" Noting the discomfort on the prince face, the angel lowered her head, nodding in understanding. "I understand. I'm just surprised, your escape caused quite a stir in Ether."
"It did?" Neptune questioned, surprised.
"Zeus in particular was frustrated by this. Now why I can't say."
"This… could be bad." Captain, boatswain and noble young man looked at each other, the blue-haired one mostly broke out in a cold sweat with the information. "What would Zeus want with you?"
"Whatever that idiot is thinking, it won't happen with me here." The quartet looked to the voice, seeing the figure sitting on the stern ledge turn… and Bianca almost fainted when she saw who it was.
Sun Wukong slammed his staff down on the deck firmly, his eyes glowing crimson for a moment. "The… The Monkey King!" The angel pointed at him in shock, and he stared at the fallen, laughing nervously.
"Um… Not exactly." The blonde joined the four, offering the fallen girl a handshake, which she accepted in disbelief. "Sun Wukong, the current incarnation of the Monkey King. It's a pleasure."
"Is the Monkey King part of your crew?!" Bianca questioned the shocked captain, who shrugged.
"It's been for about two years already."
"So this is where you were…" Bianca mumbled, making Sun raise his eyebrows in curiosity. "The gods are always trying to find out about your current incarnation or that of the Bull King. They already know that the Bull King is in the Nekomata Province, but you managed to hide your tracks well."
"Oh, they keep an eye out, hmm?" The Wukong wore an annoyed expression for a moment. "You know, in my more than five hundred years of life, I haven't seen much that favors my view of most gods. And what the Monkey King tells me doesn't help either."
"I would normally say that talking about them like that is insanity, but…"
"You get used to it." Sage declared, looking at Sun. "Both of them don't like the gods very much."
"With reasons." The blonde nodded, but quickly changed his irritated expression to a sympathetic one, focusing on the angel. "But let's not talk about that. How are you feeling?"
"Ahn… I'm fine, sir."
"No need to use 'sir', you're not talking to the Monkey King himself. And he doesn't like formality very much either." Wukong assured in a playful tone, making the fallen smile.
"You didn't lie when you said your crew had exotic presences." She said to Scarlet, who laughed.
"And you just became one more." David crossed his arms. "That is, until you decide what you're going to do."
"We are going to Toramura, we hope to arrive tomorrow at dusk." Sage informed her. "Let's not rush you, Scar and I talked to the crew and everyone agreed to have you here if you want, or at least until you solve your problems."
"But if you want to go your own way when we dock, we won't judge. It's your choice." The redhead said in support, being joined by nods from Sage, Neptune and Sun.
The angel looked at the quartet in surprise for a moment, then smiled. "I appreciate that. I know this is pretty sudden and I caused you guys trouble when I fell, but…"
"Wouldn't be the first time something nearly wrecked my ship, relax."
"Why do I feel like this was for me?" Sun questioned the captain with a sweatdrop, and he rolled his eyes.
"Perhaps because you once provoked not just a giant octopus, but a giant shark to come attack us once?"
The angel stared at the blonde, who raised his hands in defense. "I got rid of them, didn't I?"
"But The Omen nearly sank in the process."
"Quiet, Sage."
"Ignoring them…" Neptune immediately stopped the discussion. "Well, you met everyone. At least the people who decided to stay on the decks, there are several others already sleeping in the quarters down there, which also has a free hammock for you to sleep in."
"Do you even feel sleepy?" Sage felt the need to ask, making her raise an eyebrow.
"Well, I didn't feel the need to sleep or anything before… But I don't think so? I'm not feeling sleepy."
"Well, there are always a few crew members keeping watch around the deck at night, so you can stick around if you like."
"I appreciate it all, really. But right now I just want to think more about… This situation, and what I'm going to do next."
The four looked at one another, nodding in understanding. "Anything else you know where to find us." Sun said with a smile, heading for the stairs towards the main deck.
The four waved to her, and Bianca looked up at the visible sky with the sails down. The moon shone in the sky, its bewitching beauty lit up the night, its brightness reflected in the waters. The angel walked to the edge of the stern, leaning on it.
She knew sure there was a reason she had fallen. She couldn't have just been... Corrupted, could she? There had to be something more to all of this. And whatever it was, she was going to find out.
…
"Chain down, Captain!" Ninris declared, receiving a nod from Scarlet. He descended to the main deck, most of the crew began to assemble on deck.
"Ok guys. You know how it is, part of you stays here looking after the ship, one of you talks to the local shipyard to fix the damage we suffered from the 'comet'."
Sage joined the captain, watching the sailors. "Captain David will settle the case of the stolen cargo with the local guard, with luck we'll get considerable money from the bounty. Worst case scenario… Maybe there are some bounties hanging on murals somewhere."
"The rest of you are free to explore and enjoy as you wish as long as you don't cause any trouble. We'll be here for two or three days." The David crossed his arms, eyeing each of the sailors steadily. "Are we understood?"
"Aye, aye, captain!" The redhead smiled upon hearing the simultaneous response, and they immediately began to disperse. Some going to the edges, going down to the port, and the others spreading around the galleon for their tasks in the situation of being docked.
In the midst of several sailors, the duo saw Bianca approaching, without her wings and halo visible. "Hiding your identity as an angel?"
"It would attract attention, wouldn't it?" The fallen asked back.
"Fair." Scarlet conceded, then turned towards the port city, extending his arm towards it. "Welcome… To Toramura."
The angel turned her gaze, seeing that it was a considerably large city. Not a capital city for example, but far from being comparable to a village. Toramura stretched from the harbor to a distant hill. You could see that it also extended along the coast, not as far into the mainland, but still quite a bit, and the architecture of the place was in the Ancient Japan style, with many of the houses and buildings being made of wood, with tiled roofs in the shape of a pyramid.
With the galleon's considerable height, she had a superior view to notice what appeared to be a commercial district to the west of the city, a center of illumination in the city at night, with the rest being far less bright than here. High walls surrounded the city, watchtowers along them.
But two structures stood out on the horizon. The closest, a massive Japanese castle, surrounded by a wall that seemed to form a small district with it's smaller structures adjacent to the castle, noble ground, perhaps? The place was well fortified from what she could see.
And in the background, the other structure on the far hill was a temple of grand proportions, its path taken through traditional gates. "It was here that Sienna Khan started the civil war to overthrow Leonardo Lionheart from the throne of the Province…" Bianca reminded herself.
"How long have you been present on the Ether?" Scarlet questioned. "Daimyo Khan's rebellion was almost 20 years ago, but I doubt you're that young."
"I was created after the end of the conflict against the Demon Kings." Her ears immediately heard gagging sounds, turning to the side and seeing Sage grasping one hand to his chest and placing the other on the ledge in support.
But the naga quickly recovered, leaving the captain with a sweatdrop. "By the gods, I know most Remnant species live a long time, but this is too much for me."
"What are you talking about? We tritons are one of the species that live for a short time while you nagas live for millennia." The redhead snapped back in a dry tone, making the boatswain roll his eyes.
"Man, I went over 350 two years ago."
"Exactly my point. I'm 27."
"But you're still a triton, one of the most dominant species on Remnant next to dragons." The fallen pointed out. "Your species has complete dominion over the ocean."
"I don't think that's a good thing considering the tyranny the royalty impose on their own population and are imposing on the rest of Remnant right now."
The angel raised her eyebrows at the redhead's irritated tone, and soon noticed Sage's look that said, "Let it go.". The brunette got the message, sighing.
"Well, I'll let you guys do your thing."
"And you?" Sage questioned, seeing the angel shrug.
"Sun said he was going to give me a tour of the city, saying I need to dress better than that." She revealed, pointing at herself in mild confusion.
"I feel like that came more from the Monkey King than Sun himself…" Scarlet muttered with a sweatdrop. "Good luck with that."
"What do you mean?" The angel questioned, confused.
"You will see." He turned to Sage, waving at him. "We're leaving now, we'll meet you later." Both waved goodbye, starting to go down to the harbor.
The Fallen waved back, looking confused at the two. "What did he mean by 'Good luck'? How can that be so- Ugh…" Suddenly, she felt the pain in her head returning, forcing her to lean on whatever was closest, in this case, the edge of the ship.
Immediately a nearby dark elf noticed this, approaching her. "Ah, miss?"
However, she held out her other hand in a halting gesture, taking a deep breath. "It is all good." Her voice sounded pained, but she forced a smile at the sailor, who looked at her uncertainty.
"Are you sure?" He asked again, receiving a nod from Bianca. "Well…" Before the elf could continue, he saw the angel almost fall off the edge, running to her and holding her. "Miss!"
With his cry, others of the crew noticed the situation, starting to approach as they saw the sailor support her on his shoulder. "Argh…" She groaned, putting her hand to her head as she felt her eyes grow heavy.
"I'll take you to the med bay." The dark elf declared, hearing the angel mumble something he didn't quite understood.
"I'll tell Korza to prepare the place." A triton said, moving to the center of the deck where the metal grate to the lower levels of the galleon was open.
…
"If I may ask… Why was I summoned here?" Standing, clad in gleaming golden armor over a white tunic, was a young woman with black hair with white bangs swept up in a half-down, half-up, shining white eyes and dark skin. White wings and a halo revealed her importance, an angel.
In front of her, inside that oval hall made of marble and golden ornaments, was another young woman, an angel, with short and straight blue hair in a petroleum tone, slightly lighter blue eyes and dark skin. Unlike the other, she did not wear armor, but her tunic had gold on the neck, cuffs and 'skirt' with a sun stamped on her chest. "The gods have been watching your actions, Bianca."
"The gods?" The angel raised her eyebrows in doubt, taking a step forward. "My job is to judge dead souls, so I understand why Anubis, Ereshkigal and others are watching. But all of them?"
"Not all of them." The blue one corrected. "Odin in particular seems to have been… Interested in your actions." She closed her eyes. "Archangel, the White Emperor and the Red Emperor have disappeared from their prisons in Tartarus."
The angel immediately widened her eyes, her posture becoming agitated for a moment. "The Heavenly Dragons?!"
"You know why their bodies were destroyed and their souls imprisoned in Tartarus, don't you?" She nodded. "So tell me, how did they disappear?"
Bianca looked confused at the blue girl, seeing her put up a serious expression. "Lady Ciel, the Heavenly Dragons are not my responsibility, how would I know-"
"But your rank allows you access to their prison." Ciel interrupted, her voice firm. "I questioned all the angels who were in the prison when they both supposedly disappeared, and they all told me you were present."
"I…"
Both, however, had their attention taken by the sound of footsteps. Their gazes turned to the hallway behind them, seeing a figure walking into the hall.
He was a tall man with long gray hair and a long beard, his right eye with an eye patch and the left one in onyx color and fair skin. He wore a black leather cape emblazoned with three interconnected triangles pointing upwards, wearing a blue and red tunic with gold trim around the neck, arms and torso, black pants and leather boots, with a spear in his right hand and two ravens, one on each shoulder.
The two angels knelt as soon as the man entered the hall, and his gaze fell on the black-haired one. "Bianca. It's been a long time since I last saw you."
"It is an honor, Lord Odin."
"Get up, there's no need for that." The All-Father smiled slightly, seeing the archangel nod before standing up. "I assume Ciel has already told you about the disappearance of the Heavenly Dragons."
"Yes sir." She confirmed, looking at the blue one, already standing.
"I'll be straight forward, archangel." Immediately his features changed, expressing seriousness as he looked at her. "The voices are back?"
"The voices?" Bianca questioned doubtfully. "No, I haven't heard them for a while."
"Then why did you free the Dragons?" Odin's question was an instant hit, causing the angel to look at Ciel, who nodded.
"Mimir himself confirmed it. You freed them."
"What?! No, I wouldn't do that!"
"But you did." Odin said, sounding disappointed. "Are you lying to me, archangel? I know you wouldn't, just one of the other voices. But your eyes don't lie, they aren't in control."
"In control?" The archangel broke into a cold sweat, seeing that the god's hand that held the spear became firmer, and from the corner she could see Ciel summoning a golden sword. "What do you mean?"
"Time and time again I promised the other gods to keep you and your fractured mind in check. And I did, but the voices always returned." Odin started to walk towards her, and she backed away, but Ciel also started to surround her. "I've tried everything, believe me, but freeing the Heavenly Dragons… I don't know if it was you or one of the voices, but whoever it was, they crossed a line that couldn't be crossed."
"I'm sorry, Bianca." The blue one said, looking deep in the angel's eyes. "Orders from Lord Zeus."
The angel found herself more and more against the wall, seeing them both brandishing their weapons in preparation to execute her. Her pupils dilated, feeling dread for the first time in millennia, and in a desperate act, she reached out with one of her hands as she summoned a golden glow.
A sword appeared in her hands, and on instinct she attacked one of those around her without thinking. The All-Father was the target, eyes widening as he saw the gleaming golden sword slice lightly across his other arm, the ravens on his shoulders cawing in surprise. He raised his arm closer to him, seeing a bit of golden blood come out of the wound moments before it closed. "Ichor… Heresy."
A tremor hit the room, surprising everyone. Looking down, the black-haired one saw the floor under her feet begin to crack. God and angel looked at her, the All-Father closing his one eye after noticing the white of the archangel's wings begin to darken.
Ciel glared at Bianca, who looked at her in disbelief. The halo on her head began to crack, its glow fading. "The first fallen angel in ages..."
"Fall… En…?"Her armor and sword disappeared, and before she knew it, a crack opened beneath her, and she fell into it without a cry. Her eyes stayed fixed on the two figures within the hall, who watched her fall with regret.
And then, a light and a distorted voice, and the rift closed.
…
"AH!" She got up, her eyes wide and her breathing fast. The angel needed to catch her breath before processing her surroundings. She was still on the ship, sitting on a stretcher inside a small room. A nearby bench had surgical tools on it, and in the other corner was a desk with other medical devices.
Before she could even question it, the sound of the doorknob being turned took her gaze to the door, seeing it open and a naga with short black curly hair with a light beard, red eyes and brown skin with red scales coming in. He wore a white shirt underneath a gray vest, black pants and black boots with black gloves on his hands.
The naga's eyes immediately went to the angel, carefully approaching her. "Bianca, isn't it? I heard you scream."
"Hum?"
"How are you?"
"I think I am fine?" She saw the man sigh in relief. "Who are you?"
The naga lifted his head, blinking briefly. "Oh yes." He cleared his throat, managing a smile. "I haven't introduced myself before. I'm Korza, the crew doctor of The Omen. You are in the ship's medical bay."
"Medical bay?"
"You've had one hell of a headache, ma'am. Bad enough to knock you out for a good few hours." The doctor informed her. "I thought I'd leave you here for now. You look healthy in all aspects, but that was not just any headache."
"I don't feel any pain right now." The angel said, receiving a stare from the naga.
"Are you sure about that?"
"I'm fine."
"Um… Well, it's not like you have any other problems, and if it stopped for now…" Korza sighed, nodding. "You can leave if you want, but you'd better stay on the ship. It's already dark and you better not risk yourself passing out again at this hour."
"I understand." The angel saw the doctor open the door, signaling with his hand for her to follow him. She did, being guided out of the medical bay. Leaving, the angel could see that she was on the third deck of the ship, in front of the stairs to the second.
The fallen started walking towards the main deck above, her mind focused on the 'dream' she had had. 'It wasn't a dream, and you know it.' A voice similar to hers said in her mind, much to her surprise. She sounded irritated.
'You-'
'You were betrayed. We were betrayed, all of us.' Another voice declared, again similar to her own, but somewhat disappointed.
'What Odin said... If it's true, it means we've been used for eons.' Another voice, this one sounding cold. 'And I doubt Zeus will be happy when he finds out we're still alive.'
Her feet landed on the main deck, which strangely had no guards. Not that she noticed with her focus on the voices she heard. 'You all again...'
'Bianca, you cannot deny what you've seen, no matter what the manipulations you've been through may have made you think.' Paying attention, the angel could see that the voice had a certain disdain in it's intonation. 'That happened to you, to us.'
"No, no, it couldn't have all been a lie." She refused to believe it, shaking her head in denial. "I was loyal, that can't be-"
"Talking with who?" Her eyes widened, turning back and seeing Sun right there, looking at her.
"Sun." Bianca saw the Wukong smile, approaching her.
"When Vetry came down from the main deck carrying you passed out, Neptune and I were worried. And Sage and Scarlet went to see you as soon as they got back."
"Were you worried?" She questioned, surprised to see the Monkey King incarnation nod.
"You may have only recently appeared here, but the crew has accepted you." The blonde chuckled lightly, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Something on your mind?"
"No, nothing." She quickly lied. "Only…"
"The memories came back, didn't they?" She widened her eyes, staring at the blonde and seeing his eyes gleam for a moment. "And the voices too, I imagine."
"How you-"
"I'm the Monkey King, do you really think I don't spy on the Ether every now and then?" he asked, silencing her. "I heard rumors about an angel who heard voices, and Odin himself would visit that angel from time to time. Personality and attitude changes... Your mind is fragmented, isn't it? There's more than one individual in there."
The angel fell silent, being all the answer the ancient god needed. "I don't know exactly what your story is, Bianca. I admit, the gods hid you well. But I've heard enough to know that there's something special about you, and the gods wouldn't let you fall without reason despite the trouble you cause. "
"I… was going to be executed." Bianca started. "I was summoned by Ciel, and charged with freeing the Heavenly Dragons from their prisons."
"The Two Heavenly Dragons?" The Monkey King raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Are they free?"
"Apparently so." She lowered her head. "And it looks like I was the one who freed them."
"Hum… But you're not dead."
"I was going to be." The angel replied. "Odin and Ciel were going to kill me right there, but I attacked Odin, and… I fell for heresy."
"So that's what happened…" The blonde muttered in understanding, watching the fallen turn around. "And now that you know that?"
"... It's just a matter of time before they find me. I'm a liability." She glanced at Toramura, seeing some areas still lit by flashlights. "I gotta go."
Before the Monkey King could protest, the angel dispelled the spell hiding her wings and halo and opened her wings. But… "Let me help then."
"Huh?" She stopped before taking off, looking at the blonde. The Monkey King was smiling at her.
"I don't want to mess with the gods despite my disdain for them. But I couldn't let you go like that either, otherwise Sun wouldn't leave me alone." A golden cloud formed beside him, and he touched it. "Sit down."
"Where are you taking me?"
"The jewel of the desert. Vacuo."
…
A young woman, tall and strong in physique who had long flowing red hair, green eyes and fair skin with freckles was riding a horse, speeding through a forest. She wore a short, one-shoulder red chiton, with black edges carrying golden meanders. Strappy sandals were on her feet, as was a silver circlet on her head, plus silver bracelets and a long red sash wrapped around her waist. She carried a full quiver and a bow on her back.
She was joined by other young women also riding horses, all in similar clothes in their own colors. But three details were the same for all: the quiver and bow, a tattoo of a waning moon on their left arms, and they all wore assorted silver accessories, whether pieces of armor, jewelry, or ornaments.
She was at the front with another at her side, a young woman, slightly older than most in appearance, however of smaller stature and with a more athletic physique than imposing like some of the others. She had short, messy green hair tied back in a high ponytail, bright silver eyes, and olive skin with scattered freckles. She wore a short green chiton, with leather sandals dyed in a woody brown and a tiara of silvery laurels.
She had a short fur cape, with leather armbands and a necklace with a waning moon pendant around her neck. A silver belt with the phases of the moon was around her waist over a long sash made of fur, and her ankles had white bands wrapped around them. The exposed parts of her body revealed several body paintings of horizontal sharp stripes in green color, on the arms, legs, face and the little torso that the low collar of the tunic revealed. A quiver and a curved bow of greenish wood with deer inlays layed on her back.
Through the dense leaves of the trees, it was possible to see the sun shining. And the duo could see the sunlight approaching with the exit of the forest. The green one pulled her mount's reins, ordering it to stop as it emerged from the dense trees, and the others followed suit.
The redhead stopped beside her, and the group could see an Ancient Japan-style city on the horizon. The leader, the greenish, smiled. "That's it, Pyrrha. Toramura."
"The target must be here… Let's make sure it doesn't run away first." Pyrrha said, looking at the leader. "The order is yours, Lady Artemis."
The goddess of the hunt nodded, looking at her followers. "Huntresses! You all know our target, the heir to the throne of Chryvatos, Neptune Vasilias! Don't let him get away!" They all shouted in unison, making Artemis smile with pride and satisfaction. "Let's go!"
With a tug of the mount reins, the Huntresses of Artemis followed their leader to the road down the hill they were on, leading towards Toramura. And in the city, The Omen crew had no idea of what came for them...
Yo, readers! Welcome back to GM! What did you all tought?
Well, this chapter was mainly focused on Bianca. I know that the RWBY fandom has a certain aversion to main OC's, but because this is an AU where everyone is in very different situations, not everyone is going to have the same level of importance depending on the situations. But I hope you're enjoying Bianca so far. And yes she has DID, sensitive theme I know, I want to try to do this as correctly as possible so let me know anything incorrect.
But speaking of the history! We get to know a little more about the crew of The Omen, in addition to finding out what happened to Bianca to make her fall. Odin and Ciel were going to execute her for freeing the Celestial Dragons. And before anyone ask! While yes, I have some DxD inspirations in this AU (and several others works as well), I know practically nothing about DxD in terms of lore and history. I just like Draig and Albion anyway, so they're here and will be important. Three more iconic dragons will be in this story, I want to see you all guess which ones.
And finally, we see Pyrrha alongside the Huntresses of Artemis and the goddess of the hunt herself, and their target is Neptune? I wonder why? We'll see... And yes, the Hades version of Artemis was my main basis for this design of her. I want to make it clear that Artemis is in my top 3 gods of Greek mythology, so expect a lot from her. (including a surprise regarding Pyrrha)
Well, that's all for today, folks! See you next time! Arrivederci!
