After the uncomfortable truth is hinted at, John goes mad with paranoia. Attempting the breach the topic he feared only to find Sherlock has a surprising outlook on the situation. Still in denial about the focus of his affections he attempts to resolve his confusion only making the situation that much worse, and ultimately more painful.

After Sherlock's fall, Lestrade visits John every day each time getting more and more worried about the doctor's mental and physical wellbeing. He decides to go and visit Ella to discuss the best friend Sherlock left behind. This is their conversation, with a little twist at the end.
