As he walked down the hall he passed several maids who were busy cleaning the floors, he didn't stop to admire their asses, he had taken his oath and kept it.

That didn't mean that he didn't enjoy looking at a woman's figure from time to time, but he calmed himself and focused on doing his job, which led to actions that could have been prevented.

From the nearby window, he could see one of the Knights, or Players as they called themselves riding upon her green dragon, the girl who was the creature's owner was a small thing.

She was a shy person who didn't wish any harm on anyone.

There wasn't a day that the girl didn't have a smile on her, and even when the Players had invaded she had been one of the few that helped tend to his injured men.

The girl would sometimes enter his office and sit quietly, sometimes she would close her eyes until she fell asleep, other times she would bring him warm drinks.

More than a few times she would bring several games that made them into opposing lords or kings who were at war with each other, or they would be at war with some imaginary figure.

He wondered if he would have had a daughter like her if he hadn't taken the black and joined the watch.

As he walked he began to hear the men training alongside each other, one good thing about the invasion was that all of the nineteen castles were now filled with men and were fully operational

They were filled with men and beats, that had promised to leave the Seven Kingdoms alone as long as the Seven Kingdoms didn't attack them.

To ensure that none of the lords or kings tried to seize power, each one was given something that made it impossible for the others to function without it.

One castle had been given power over all of the drinking water, while another was given control over crops, and another the meat that everyone depended on.

He knew that the mountain had its castles with its kings and queens but they had also only been allowed to keep one thing, to prevent any power struggles from happening.

His position had also been respected, as weekly reports detaining the repairs of the long-abandoned castles and towers hadn't stopped coming.

His men's positions were also respected, as well as the oaths that they had taken.

There were some changes, their Nighst Watch was now known as the Guild of the Night's Watch or the Black Crows Guild and was expected to serve the newly created kingdom.

Other than that not much had changed, if one ignored the different colored armor, women, children, and beasts, nothing had changed.

He and his men were still guarding the walls preparing themselves for another invasion.

Granted they had more people now but those same people had fled here.

Scouts were still being sent beyond the wall, but nothing had changed and he hopped to keep it that way.

"I keep telling you that if we build roads to Aincrad from each of the castles."

"Then we will risk making Aincrad a seat of power."

"And what if we do? children are being born and while we have been able to keep ourselves fed, we need to start thinking about the generations that follow, not just ours but the Wildling as well." he could hear the councilors speaking.

The words were calm and showed the forethought of the men as they were already planning for the future and preparing for the problems that were sure to come.

He looked at the large black door that separated him from the council and stopped walking, he didn't open it, not because he was afraid of the men inside, but because he wanted to hear more about their plans.

"Waite let's all calm ourselves, We have to consider the positions of the Black Crows."

"What's there to consider, they are the men at the wall, their position will always be the same, why would anything change?"

'Because if we build a road and roads lead to villages and towns that form around them because of Human nature those same men will eventually end up in those villages and towns."

A deep silence followed one that told him that none except for the man that spoke had considered.

"Then it will be up to their current head to tell us how his men will act and from there we will consider handing him our sons and criminals."

This was what he needed to hear, he grabbed a hold of the door handle and pulled it open."

The small council was in an uproar as the letters from the North painted a grim picture.

The walls that separated the frozen lands beyond the north had been sieged by an unknown force that was now using them as the stepping stones for their new kingdom.

And yet the men of the Night's Watch had continued to send men into the seven kingdoms in search of recruits.

The invasion had stopped at the wall and the invaders had kept to themselves instead of moving to greener lands, villages had been attacked, and no towns had been raided.

For three years nothing, no breath had been taken from the lungs of the people of the north, no women had been kidnapped and no army had marched south.

Just silence and an uneasy calm that spoke of things that might never come.

What does Rickard Sark say, Has there been any change?" Tywin Lannister the hand of the King says to the messenger who hands him the last of the letters.

Tywin feels his chest tighten as the sensation of fear begins to grow, Something did change dragons, one bright blue, one a blood red, and one that resembled green leaves.

Each of the beats flew at the other side of the walls, sometimes they were seen flying over them and even landing within the wall, but they never ventured beyond it.

"My king, I believe that you should read this yourself as if I say it, word will spread." Tywin hands the letter to Aerys Targaryen the king of the seven kingdoms.

Aerys took the letter from Tywin's hand and placed his right hand on his head on his head immediately after reading what was written on it.

"This changes everything and nothing." Aerys says to Tywin before he announces to everyone what the lord of the north wrote on the letter he now holds in his hands.

He handed the letter to his master of the coin, who later handed it to his master of whispers, normally his word alone would have been more than enough, but something like this needed a bit more effort.

He was tempted to call his family together so they could mount their dragons and deal with the threat that it could grow any stronger, but if he did that he risked destroying the wall.

Not to mention that if he did this then it would mean another dance of the dragons would happen, he had lost nearly all of his family during the fire.

If the dragons that hatched that day died during this fight then his family's deaths would be pointless.

"Tell the north to keep an eye for any signs that the invaders will march south but to not do anything yet, If the enemy stays on their side then so be it." he says to everyone.

"And what of the wall my king?" Tywin asks him.

"It has been manned by criminals and those that wish to escape their punishments, or humiliate their houses, keep it that way."

'Let the nights watch and the invaders deal with our problems for us." he answers Tywin.
