Kings Landing
He was doing everything that he could to prevent himself from showing any discomfort about the heat but even with all of his efforts, his attempts were futile.
"Good yure here." the Queen says to him with an eagerness and joy that no one had ever seen her with.
"Come look at this." she says to him before she leads him to a desk covered with drawings of men and women, as well as the drawings of strange beasts that look familiar but were wrong in every way.
"Look at this Jaime," she says to him as she hands him several hand-drawn pictures that had been carefully colored so that they could show each dragon's appearance.
"Dragons Jaime," she says to him.
"My queen I don't understand you have several young dragons." he says to her, altho he fears her response.
He sees the queen's toothy smile vanish as a look of fear fills her eyes.
"You aren't a Targaryen so you can't see or feel it." She pauses for a moment before she uses her hands to move her hair up and show him something that he can't see.
The queen notices his confusion and shakes her head with disappointment.
"My youth somehow my youth is returning to me, I need to get to the wall it's going to be the only safe place from him." she says to him as she lets go of her hair and walks up to him.
"You can't see it, because he is still holding on, but the king is growing more and more paranoid, It's only a matter of time before he goes completely mad." she says to him.
Jaime listened to the queen's words and had heard similar stories told to him by his father the hand of the king and his sister who were living in the capital, he had come to visit them but it had been proven more difficult than he had expected.
"My queen I can't, what your saying is treason."
"The fact that I even heard it."
"Now makes you an accomplice." she says to him her smile had reformed on her lips, and it was just as wide as before.
He could feel his heart beating inside his chest and his head began to fill with thoughts that he quickly threw away as he tried to control the panicking feeling that now trying to overwhelm him.
"I can't even if I somehow arranged or managed to take you there, the king would march his armies to the north and if the stories about those on the wall are to be believed they don't just have dragons." he says to her but the woman just continues to smile.
"We both know that the winter will deal with a number of the men and if my words are true then the king's madness will deal with more." she says to him.
"Myu family." he says to her but his words sound as if he was begging.
"Would you rather your father, brother, and sister be ruled over by a madman?" she asks him.
'How would taking you to the wall prevent that?" he asks her, as he regains some control.
"It won't, but if his madness overwhelms him, there will be a rebellion Jaime one that will deal with him and stop him." she says to him.
"But the crown?" he says to her.
'Has my eldest as an heir." She quickly silences him.
'Truth be told, I was planning to escape to Essos, but recent events have shown me a better place to hide. "
"I won't be a queen anymore and I won't have an army of servants that are loyal to me in any way, but I'll be free from him and this den of rats and serpents," she says as she waves her hand as she shows him the place that they are in.
"I have to tell the king." he says as his desperation grows.
'Go ahead, but he will kill you just like he has done to everyone else who barges into the throne room."
'You know that I am not lying, as yourself after he is done with you what will be the fates of your love ones?" she asks him.
He can't help but lower his head in defeat, he knows that she isn't lying there is a reason that people call him the mad king and so he looks at Queen Rhaella.
The queen hugs him tenderly as if she is implying something that Jaime knew could never happen.
She lets go of him and shows him her plan to get to the north and from there to reach the wall without being seen by anyone.
Her plan was simple but complicated, she planned to escape the city through one of the many hidden passageways and from there head north until she reached a point where a ship that she had already prepared would be waiting for her.
From there, it was just a matter of sailing to the north and that would take a month if the current was right and if there was enough wind.
Word of her escape or kidnapping would have already spread by the time she reached the north, so she would have to travel carefully until she reached the wall.
That alone was another two or three weeks if the weather was good.
So much could go wrong, it was impossible, but the risk and the chain reaction that her escape would cause.
Jaime didn't know what to think or say, so he just listened to Rhaella talk before she became silent and placed a necklace on his neck.
'With this, no one will ask why they can't find you, I give this necklace to everyone that I send somewhere far away whenever I want something hard to find."
'So if you came back empty-handed like they usually do, no one will question why." she says to him before she orders him to leave.
