Chapter 5: Fortunate bonds

It's 11:00 am Sundays, we find ourselves at The Manor of Ai and Shiro. Inside the manor, we see Ai in her room with Shiro, who is brushing her hair. She's wearing a white neck tie puffy-sleeve shirt with a navy blue checkered skirt, long white socks, and black dress shoes.

"Shiro-chan, is it really necessary for me to be dressed up like this?" Ai asked, sounding a bit annoyed and uncertain. She felt really uncomfortable being dressed up like this.

"Absolutely, my lady," Shiro replied. "This is the first time you have ever asked a friend to hang out, and I want you to look your best for your day with Lincoln."

"I personally don't think it's necessary for you to dress me up like this; the plan was for you to drive me to Lincoln's house today. I wanted to wear something normal and casual, but instead, you're dressing me up like I'm going on a date with him!" Ai exclaimed aggressively at her maid.

"We're meeting your friend at his house, I want them to see that you're a well-mannered, proper young lady. Not to mention, his sisters will be there, so I want them to have a good impression of you as well." Shiro stated as she finished styling the Queen's hair and placed a cute little ribbon on her left side of her head.

"So what do you think, my lady?" Shiro asked excitedly as Ai got up from her chair and headed towards the mirror in front of her. She inspected herself very carefully before giving herself one little twirl before stopping and looking at her reflection. Instead of annoyance, she seemed rather amazed by what her maid had accomplished.

"Well, I would have preferred casual clothes, but it's all right, I guess," Ai said in a different tone, although in reality, she secretly liked the outfit that had been picked out for her; she didn't want to show it to Shiro, who simply giggled and walked over to her, handing her a black glove and a messenger bag.

"If you say so, my lady," Shiro said as she exited Ai's room. "Let's hurry; you don't want to be late for your meeting with your friend."

We find ourselves in N.V.'s cave; he is currently seated upon his throne, although his face is shrouded beneath his hood. The way he taps his fingers on the armrest of his throne suggests that he is deep in thought.

"You know, days like this, I wish there was something to do. Granted, it's Sunday and they are always boring." N.V says neutrally, he ponders and wonders what to do as he ponders many thoughts going through his head, and nothing seems to pop into his mind except for one thing - knowing what he could do to keep himself from being bored.

"You know what, screw it; I'll just see what Rey and Loud's are doing." N.V takes out his phone and taps on the surveillance icon of his phone. It didn't take long for him to find his primary target of interest; he sees him in the kitchen doing dishes. Right as N.V was about to make a comment, he heard a doorbell from the visual fee that's broadcast by his drones. Rey hears as well and went to the front door to answer it not wanting to miss a moment of his Target he switches his visual fee to a different camera that's on the fireplace next to the couch of the living room.

Now in the living room, Rey heads for the front door and opens it. A surprised look appears on his face; a look of curiosity got N.V curious after moments. At the door, he sees Rey backing up a little bit and letting them in. These guests are none other than Ai Shiro. Rey signal them to have a seat on the couch and signals that he head upstairs together with Rey now heading upstairs N.V was about to switch for a different camera but his instincts gravitated towards the guest looking at the guests intently.

"Wait a minute," said N.V. as he leans his phone closer to his face, "those two girls look familiar." He felt a strange sense of familiarity toward them but couldn't understand why.

At the Loud House, Lincoln was seen in the bathroom combing his hair before fixing his shirt. He checked himself in the mirror one last time to make sure everything was in order and there were no mistakes. Seeing nothing wrong, he headed for the door as he exited the bathroom he sees Rey at the door to his room knocking it.

"Hey Rey." Lincoln calld out his name Rey turn around and waved at him.

"Oh hey Lincoln."

"Is there something you need?" He asked curiously as he walks towards him..

"Your guests are here." Rey stand as he pointed downstairs knowing what he means he quickly headed downstairs to greet them.

"How long are you going to stand behind me, Lucy?" Rey asks as she walks beside him and looked at him.

"Dang it! How did you know I was behind you?" She asked in disappointment Rey kneels down to her eye level.

"I can almost sense anyone's presence, and if they try to conceal it, I can still find them," Rey said, with a confident smirk. "What you did is impressive, and it may work on your parents or your siblings, but it won't work on me. Better luck next time spooky." He playfully ruffled her hair.

"You going to head on over there and introduce yourself to your brother's new friend, along with her maid? I'm going to go fetch Len; she may want to meet them." Rey said as he headed to Lori and Leni's room, while Lucy stayed downstairs.

Rey appeared in front of their room he knocked on the door a few times waiting for a response...

"Who is there?" The voice of Leni replied.

"It's me Leni may I have something to tell you?" Rey asked Leni open the door.

"Really what is it?" She asked Rey simply gave her a neutral look.

"Remember when Lincoln mentioned that he invited a new friend over to the house last Friday, and you and I were wondering who this friend of his was? Well, we got our answer, and... it Ai and she's not alone; Shiro is with her." Rey informed her Leni don't know how to react to this news.

On Friday at dinner, Lincoln told everyone at the house that he's going to bring over a new friend to the house on Sunday; when his parents and the sisters asked what the name of his new friend was, he mentioned her name was Ai. The moment the other girls heard that she was a girl, all the girls (minus Lori and strangely Leni) were squealing excitedly. Meanwhile, Rey couldn't help but wonder if this "Ai" could be the same one that his clone and Leni had met before. He quickly glanced at her, giving her a look that told her not to say too much; she got the message and just listened to her sisters questions about their brother's new friend.

As soon as everyone finished their dinner, they had a private talk about it. They both asked questions of this girl being the same girl they met at the mall, but they both agreed to withhold any questions until the confirm their suspicions.

"also I talked to them they were really surprised that I was living here and I also brought up your name Ai was surprised and excited to know that your one of Lincoln's older sisters and she really wanted to see you again." Rey excitingly.

"Really!?" Leni asked excitingly right as Rey was about to answer her when suddenly.

"AAAAAAA!" A loud scream caught their attention; Rey might have an idea who caused that scream and who is responsible for it.

"Come on, Leni; let's see what the damage is." Rey released an annoyed sigh as he signaled Leni to follow him.

"Oh my gosh, Shiro!" Leni exclaimed as she hurriedly rushed to her side.

Are you okay? Come on, say something!

"She's fine."

"AAAH!" Leni shrieked and jumped away from the person who had startled her. It was only then she realized Lucy standing behind her.

"Couldn't help yourself, huh?" Rey said with a deadpan tone.

"Hi Leni!" Ai waved at Leni .

"Hi Ai," she said in a high-pitched voice, "Oh my gosh! That outfit is so totes cute on you!" Leni complimented her outfit as Ai simply looked the way, blushing at the compliment on her outfit and being called cute.

"I'm glad you liked it, Miss Leni, I personally pick that out for her for today." Shiro said proudly as she immediately got up.

"I'm glad to see that you're alright, Shiro," Rey said with a sigh of relief when he saw her lying on the ground. He had been scared that she was out cold, but he was relieved to find that he was wrong.

"I apologize if I worried any of you," Shiro said, scratching her head slightly in embarrassment. She focused her attention directly on Lucy, drew closer to the little girl, glaring and leaned towards her carefully Lucy couldn't understand why but she suddenly felt terrified from this woman looking at her wondering what she was going to do? However, that expression she saw on Shiro quickly changed into one of surprise and admiration.

"I have to say, you've impressed me; not many could sneak up on me or scare me like that. I thought you were a ghost, but regardless, you have skills I can respect." Shiro said in an impressed tone.

"Well, I'm glad that I impressed you," Lucy said in a calm tone, though she was still slightly shaken by Shiro's glare. As for anyone else, she couldn't think of anything else to say. Ai stepped forward to greet Lucy.

"Hello, you must be Lucy. Lincoln has told me some interesting things about you; he wasn't exaggerating when you said you like to sneak up on people - impressive job in scaring Shiro. Not everyone can do that to her like you did." Ai said with an impressed smirk.

"Also, can I ask you something? Your brother told me that you were in the Mortician Club, and I-I was wondering if I could ask you some questions about your club; I'm curious to learn more about it, and I hope I can ask you if that's okay with you, Lucy." Ai nervously asked.

"Of course I'd be happy to share more, but I do have one question for you." Ai couldn't help but wonder what her question might be.

"Do you believe in anything supernatural?" Lucy asked. Ai debated for a moment before answering the question. Given how she had been told by the nature of Lucy thanks to Lincoln, she felt that it was no harm to tell her what she knew, especially since she was a supernatural creature herself but she's not going to tell everyone about her true nature.

"I will be honest with you, Lucy. Yes, I do believe in the supernatural. I have my fair share of interesting stories about the topic, including my maid; she has a lot of interesting stories she could tell you as well." Ai informed the young girl as Lucy was about to say something. A loud explosion suddenly shook the house, startling everyone inside, including Ai, who was wondering what had happened, while the other siblings, including Rey, just looked at it with a slight annoyance, while Rey looked very concerned.

"I'M STILL ALIVE!" Lisa shouted to reassure her family that were still in the house that she was fine Rey sigh annoyingly and shook his head.

"Dang it Lisa I'll go check on her again." He said as he hastily rushed upstairs he quickly turned right and open the door to hers and Lily's bedroom there he sees Lisa who is dusting herself off.

"Are you all right Lisa?" Rey asked concerningly.

"I'm fine, as you can see; there's nothing to worry about. I just had a little mishap with my chemicals, is all." Lisa informed, as she headed back to her chemistry set on her desk, but Rey stopped her and knelt down to her eye level.

"Even so, I really wish you wouldn't experiment with so many chemicals; I know you're a genius, but you've got to be more careful. I don't want to see you in the hospital, or worse. I'm thankful that Lily is with your parents right now, but regardless, please be more careful." Rey says, practically pleading with her to be more careful, even though he hasn't known her for a very long time; he can't help but worry about her safety, and for everyone else for that matter.

Lisa simply sighed and adjusted her glasses. "If you insist, I'll be more careful."

"That's all I can ask for, thank you Lisa," Rey said as he headed out the door. Before he left, though, he looked back at her one last time.

"By the way, you should know that your brother's guest has arrived; you can't take a little break and introduce yourself to her. I'm pretty sure she'll be excited to meet you," Rey suggested that Lisa should take a break and introduce herself to her brother's new friend.

Lisa says, "Maybe later; I have more pressing work to finish before I introduce myself." Lisa resumes working on her experiments at her desk, while Rey simply shrugs his shoulders and leaves.

'This is the twelfth time you've checked up on her, boss, you're going to run yourself ragged worrying about her you know that.' Onibi said, voicing his opinion on his trainer's worries for the young genius Rey said nothing as he headed downstairs as he heads down he sees Shiro talking to some of the Loud siblings that are present in the living room.

"I see, so your parents and other sisters won't be here for a while. That's a shame; I was really looking forward to meeting them." She said in a disappointed tone as she glanced at Rey who had made it downstairs.

"Is everything all right upstairs? Was there any damage?" Shiro asked concernedly.

"Everything's fine believe it or not random explosions happens a lot around here." Rey replied.

"Hey, Rey, can I ask you a question? How did you and Leni come to know about Ai and Shiro?" Lincoln asked. He had been wondering ever since he saw Leni running to Shiro's side; the way they talked to each other was intriguing.

"We met them by chance while we were at the mall; nothing too big, just helping them out with some stuff they had trouble with. That's all," Rey explained, coming up with a lie to explain their presence together and how they knew each other.

"Well, as much as I like to converse with everyone, I think I'm overstaying my welcome. You have a wonderful time with Lincoln and his family; I'll come pick you up in several hours." Shiro informed them then directed her attention to Lincoln and his sisters. "Hopefully by then I will meet your parents and the rest of your family, Lincoln. Take care."

Shiro excused herself and headed for the front door, but before she left she gave one last glance at Lincoln directly and smiled at him.

"Oh, Lincoln," she said cutely, "please don't try anything funny on my Ai-chan, okay?" Everyone in the room but Ai felt a sudden, ominous chill run down their spines. Ai simply gave her a look of annoyance.

"O-okay ma'am," Lincoln said nervously as he took her word and left the house.

After she left, there was a sudden silence among everyone in the living room; they hadn't fully recovered from the smile she had given Lincoln Rey was the first to recover he focusing attention on Ai.

"Okay then, I'll say it. You have a very scary maid, you know that Ai!" Rey stated.

"That's an understatement, Rey," said Lucy. "That's the smile of hers...I can't explain it, but I felt afraid just by looking at it. It feels like I was looking at the smile of death, and not in a good way." Normally, Lucy isn't easily frightened or scared, but looking at her and the way she smiled sent those feelings through her.

"I'm sorry everyone," Ai says. "Shiro scares people like that, whenever I'm trying to be friends with someone or if others want to be close to me or befriend me she will pull that look to test them. Again, I am truly sorry." Ai bows her head apologetically to everyone in the living room.

"It's all right, kiddo. I understand if I were in your position, I would have done the same thing. No harm done." Rey waved it off he then glance at Lincoln who was still a little spooked.

"I'm sorry she scared you, dude, but snap out of it; she's gone now," Rey firmly stated, causing Lincoln to snap out of his fear.

"Anyways, Leni, Lincoln, and Ai I'm going to do my hourly bike ride, so you can tell your parents and everyone else that-" Right as he's about to finish his sentence, he hears the engine of a vehicle approaching in the driveway.

"And speaking of your parents," Rey said as he headed for the front door and held it open. For some reason, Ai started looking a little bit nervous.

"Excuse me, everyone. Can you tell me where the bathroom is?" Ai asked nervously.

"Head upstairs last door on the left." Rey replied Ai quickly headed upstairs and turn left to use the restroom.

Rita Lily and Lynn Senior came through, each carrying a bag while Lily is strapped to her mother's back with Rey's baby carrier.

"Hey kid," they said in unison. "We're back. Sorry we got back a little late; you wouldn't believe how many people there are at the grocery stores on Sundays." Lynn senior said annoyingly.

"Don't worry about it stuff like this happens anyways Do you need any help with your bags?" Rey offered his assistance in helping them carry their belongings.

"It's fine we got this oh and by the way Rey thank you for lending me your baby carrier for Lily." Rita said that she has to the kitchen when senior on the other hand directed attention to his kids.

"So did anything happen while we were gone?" Lynn senior asked.

"Dad, do you remember my friend I mentioned the other night? Well, she's already here and she's in the restroom right now," Lincoln informed his dad on the whereabouts of Ai.

"That's great I can't wait for me and your mother to meet her." Lynn senior said excitedly to meet his son's new friend.

"She's very polite; I'm pretty sure everyone will get along with her pretty well." Rey chimed in.

"Well since you and your wife are here now, I can take my leave for my bike ride. Let Ai know that I'll be out for a little bit." Rey says as he grabs his backpack from behind the couch and heads for the front door.

"I'll be back soon guys." He said as he open the front door and heads out.

"Later, Rey," everyone in the room said as he waved, then closed the door before proceeding to get on his bike and putting on his helmet. He started his bike and rode off.

Back at N.V.'s layer, he was sitting on his throne with his posture changed; no longer did his body language show boredom, but now it showed interest he begins to cackle an excitement.

"Well, well, what do we have here? This certainly is an interesting discovery; the Queen herself is in the Royal Woods. I was just wondering where she had ended up." He said Excitedly during his time in Japan while he was searching for unwitting pawns to use in his plans to mess with his target, he overheard some Fangres talking about that the queen had disappeared. This topic was among those Fangres that had no loyalty love or support for her, which in turn got him curious as to what did happen to her since she was no longer in her domain in Japan. However, he shrugged it off and filed that mystery away for another time.

"Well, I'm glad I got my answer. Those anarchists extremists and that derange cult would pay anything just to get this information on her whereabouts." N.V chuckles menacingly but then he sees his chuckles and releases a disappointed sigh.

"You know, despite her age, I sometimes do feel bad for the Queen. She gets thrown into a lot of hate because of one measly little hesitation on her opinions on humans. Thanks to that, her people have spread rumors that she's a human sympathizer, and her people secretly turn on her; it's a miracle that the kid has anyone that will support her or stand by her. I'll give credit to the person who created the rumor; they had no idea how right they were about her." N.V said with a mix of guilt, pity, and a hint of admiration.

N.V put his phone down got off his throne and began to pace back and forth. "But I digress," he said. "Here's my question: Why is she in the Royal Woods? How long was she there and what's her connection to them?" He asked himself as he continued to pace back and forth but then he stops and went back to sit on his throne.

"You know instead of asking myself these questions why don't I just figure it out just by watching the Queens interactions with that family and my adversary." N.V says as he picked up his phone continues to monitor but then another idea pop into his head once again he set his phone down and got off his throne and open up a portal.

"Forget monitoring them; I'll just get my information from The Rook. That seems a little bit easier than spying on a bunch of kids all day. And I'll figure out what's her connection to them in no time." N.V says as he enters the portal.

Elsewhere, we see Rey riding into town on his bike ever since he got his bike from Claire he has developed a sense of enjoyment from it; the feeling was very therapeutic and relaxing, so as he continued to ride his bike he caught a glimpse of a familiar face that familiar face happened to be none other than Soma, which sparked his curiosity. He decided to park his bike and approach him.

"Hey, Soma!" Rey shouted his name, which got his attention and prompted him to proceed towards him excitedly.

Good afternoon, Rey. How are you doing? Soma asked excitedly.

"I've been great I see you're still in Royal woods what happened I thought you left for Detroit." Soma released and annoyed sigh.

"I was but as it turns out one of my associate that is in Detroit is on vacation, so he won't be back until Monday. So I decided to stick around town to pass the time and before I ask don't worry I have no problems here I managed to get my hands on American currency and I had no problem finding a place to sleep." Soma says with a positive grin Rey was about to say something but hearing that Soma will be here until Monday and idea came to his mind.

"Well, I'm glad to hear that you had no problems. Since you're going to be here till tomorrow, is it all right if I ask you more questions about your organization and exchange? I will give you the information about myself; what do you say do we have a deal?" Rey asked, using this chance to get some intel on the organization the things that this organization does hasn't left his mind, and he really wants to know more about it; seeing them as a potential ally would help him on his mission.

Soma began to think about Rey's offer despite being caught up on what happened to him. He was curious about the power he displayed yesterday and had a lot of questions about those creatures that were with him. After moments of thought, he came to a decision.

"You know what, all right, Rey. You got yourself a deal." Soma smirks as he accepts Rey's deal.

"Great get on my bike Soma I'm not a big fan of having conversations in the middle of the sidewalk how you feel about having a conversation at a burger place?"

"A few of my associates and friends and I have conversations at burger places so they're fine." Soma answer as he and Rey get on the bike.

"All right then, the Burping Burger it is," Rey said as he started the engine of his bike and rode off with his friend towards the burger restaurant.

Back at the Loud House, we see Ai bowing her head humbly in the living room with Lincoln, Leni, Lucy Lily, and their parents.

"My name is Ai Hinode. I recently lived in Tokyo, Japan, but I am currently residing in Royal Woods, Michigan. There isn't much to say about myself; however, I just wanted to express how grateful I am to have your son as one of my first friends. I traveled here to meet his family and show my appreciation as well as spend some time with him." Ai says humbly she opened up her bag and hands each one of the Louds minus Lily who are present in front of her a bag of cookies.

"I-I know this isn't much but I really want to show everyone in this house how grateful I am to have your son for a friend I hope you accept these." Ai nervously.

"Aw, that's so nice of you, Ai," Rita said, thinking of the young girl as she held the gift.

"Don't sound so nervous Ai," when senior said. "Lincoln has told us a lot about you; we're so glad to meet you." As he spoke, he pulled out a cookie from his bag and took a bite.

"Oh wow! These cookies taste amazing. Ai I have to know did make them if you did, you've really got some talent!" Lynn's compliment caused the others to follow suit.

"Thank you Mr Loud but I can't take all the credit Shiro help me out with this." Ai informed.

"Well you and Shiro did a totes amazing job on these cookies! They're so good!" Leni complimented, beaming at them. She was really blown away by the taste of these sweets; just like her dad and everyone else seemed to agree, causing her to blush.

"Lincoln besides Leni Lucy and your infant sister how many of your sisters are here in the house right now?" Ai asked.

"Lori is out with her boyfriend; Luna is out to and Luan is probably out getting some pranking props. my sister Lynn is hanging out with her friends and he twins are in their room and you know about Lisa and what she's doing." Lincoln informed the others on the whereabouts of his sisters.

"Good to know anyways is it okay if I meet your other sisters I like to give them their bags of cookies as well."

"Sure, no problem. I'm sure they would be happy to meet you. Come on, I'll show you where they are," Lincoln said as he led her upstairs to his sister's room. Before she could get up the stairs, she gave his parents and other sisters a polite nod of acknowledgement.

"Lincoln has made a very nice friend," Rita says. "I have a good feeling about her; she's very sweet and polite."

"Same here, honey," Lynn chimed in.

"She's nice, but I feel there's a great mystery to her," Lucy said, garnering the attention of both parents and Leni.

"What do you mean Lucy?" Leni asked.

"I don't know how to explain it, but while she may look nice and I feel she is nice, I can't help but sense there is a hidden mystery behind that niceness she holds a great burning that weighs on her shoulders." Lucy commented then she heads upstairs to her bedroom leaving both her parents and older sister baffling confused what she was talking about.

"Well, that was an interesting conversation, Lucy. Anyway, I's off to the kitchen. Girls, I'm going to start making my famous Lynnsagna. I can't wait for Rey to try it!" Lynn exclaimed excitedly.

Upstairs first stop is Lisa. Ai takes a moment to compose herself now feeling ready she signals linking to open the door once inside, they see the 4-year-old genius still working on her chemistry set.

"Hey Lisa." Lincoln says getting Lisa's attention she seized her work to create her brother and his friend.

"Greetings, Lincoln. I take it this is your new companion that Rey mentioned." Lisa said as she looked at Ai with curiosity. Ai felt slightly nervous, but she quickly composed herself and gave Lisa a polite bow.

"Greetings, Lisa. My name is Ai Hinode. It is an honor to meet you. Your brother has spoken highly of you. He has mentioned a great deal about you." Ai says as she opens her bag, takes out a bag of cookies, and hands them over to Lisa. "I hope you accept these cookies as a gift. I know it seems strange to give you this, but I just want to show how grateful I am to have your brother as a friend."

Lisa was taken aback by this, but she humbly accepted her gift. "This wasn't necessary, but I'll take your gift and thank you for it." Lisa said politely.

"I know we just met but I must get going I have another batch of cookies that I want to deliver to your other sisters but I look forward to talking to you again Lisa I like to hear about your accomplishments if it's not too much?" Ai asked.

"It'll be my pleasure and I would like to get to know you a little bit more soon Ai, if you would excuse me I would like to sample the gift you have got me." Lisa said she got off from her chair and head downstairs what that done they had next to their next destination the room of the twins.

"All right, next up the twins," Lincoln said. "Remember, they're the complete opposites of each other, but I must warn you, my twin sisters can get a bit intense when they fight, so brace yourselves." Lincoln warned her as he opened the door and, lo and behold, the twins were fighting in a dust cloud.

"Oh dear, should we stop them?" Ai asks. "I don't want any of them to get hurt." She adds, making it clear that she doesn't like this kind of violence and finds it unsettling.

"Don't worry, I got this," Lincoln reassured her and went into the room, pulling the twins apart.

"All right you two what happened this time?" He asked

"It was Lana's fault she tracking dirt and some of that dirt landed on my dress and my stuffed animals!"

"I said I was sorry Lola!" Lana explained then the twins started arguing back and forth noticing how bad is getting Ai decided to step in.

"Excuse me, I don't mean to interrupt your fight, but would you two like to have a bag of cookies?" Ai asked as she took out two bags of cookies that were meant for the twins. The twin sisters stopped their bickering and went to tackle Ai her for the cookies.

"Well that's one way to stop them from fighting." Lincoln commented.

"All right girls off my friend." Lincoln ordered the twins they did as they were told since they achieved their objective in grabbing the cookies.

"Are you okay Ai?" Lincoln has concernedly as he helped Ai up.

"Don't worry Lincoln I'm fine." She said as she dusted herself then she focus on the twins and give them a polite bow which got them off guard.

"Sorry for my late introductions I am Ai Hinode I am a good friend of your brother I came here today to your house to meet everyone and show my appreciation it is an honor to meet more of his sisters." Ai greeted in a very polite manner which took the twins by surprise.

"Well it's nice to meet another friend of my brothers I'm Lana Loud."

"Lola Loud charmed to meet you Ai." Both twins greeted the young girl.

"It's my pleasure in meeting you two I hope you two enjoy your cookies me and my guardian worked hard on them."

"We will thanks for the cookies Ai." both twins said in unison.

Elsewhere, we find ourselves at a burger restaurant called "The Burping Burger." There, we see Rey and Soma sitting in a booth. Soma has a standard burger and fries, while Rey just has a side of fries and a soda.

"So how did your organization started anyways?" Rey asked directly wanting to get to the point other conversation rather bluntly.

"Straight to the point, I see," Soma said as he took a bite of his burger. "Well, that's a interesting story right there." Soma began to explain.

"To keep it simple, the Rosie Path Organization was founded in the mid-70s. My boss is one of the original founding members of the organization. There are four main members of the organization, each holding their own Rose as their symbol. My boss is the leader of the Yellow Rose, and we're stationed in Japan. I don't want to explain or go into too much detail about each member of the organization; let's save that for another time." Soma says Rey seems a bit disappointed that he won't get to hear more about the other members of the organization during this conversation

"All right, I won't ask for details about your leaders, but do you at least get along with any of your members?"

"To answer your question, everyone I work for in the organization we get along pretty well. Although, I personally don't get along with most of my coworkers wait to the buttheads a lot." Soma my answers honestly he feels sort of embarrassed to tell Rey this.

"That's good to hear. Also, you didn't go into specific reasons as to why your organization was founded in the first place. I want to know more about that, and also tell me why the roses and what is the meaning behind that? I know that flowers have their own colors and meanings, so if it isn't too much to ask?" Rey asked curiously as he had already been informed about what the organization does and now he was curious and wanted to know why the organization was called "The Rosie Path," and what the meaning behind the roses were for the organization.

"I can answer that, but remember what I said; it's an interesting story. You already know my boss was a founding member of the Rosy Path. Well, to tell you the truth, he was the first one to start the organization." Soma says with a proud smirk this Revelation caught Rey off guard.

"Really? Your boss was the one who started this organization?" Rey is surprised, as he did not expect Soma's boss to be the one responsible for the organization's founding.

"I don't joke around, Rey. My boss is a hell of a man; you should see him in action. It all started way back in the day, before smart brains got their footing. They were already spouting nonsense about how Orphnochs are the dominant species. He couldn't buy into their superiority nonsense, so he decided to leave. The higher-ups didn't want to let him go, though, so they tried to execute him. But the boss was too fast for them. He took down their goons while running from the higher-ups deep within the company. You wouldn't believe what he found there - humans being experimented on and forced to convert into one of us. He was livid in the inhuman ways that they were treating innocent people, so he literally killed all the scientists with no mercy. Busted out all the innocent people and told them to run free." Soma says which surprised Rey to the point where his jaw dropped. He felt the urge to actually meet this man and shake his hand, but he composed himself very quickly and took a more professional stance...

"I must say your boss is rather impressive to do that to Smart brain but I feel that there's more to the story?"

"Oh my friend, we're not even at the best part. My boss busted out all these people, and then he went into hiding. Unfortunately, it didn't take them long to find him; they literally sent a whole squad to take care of him. Apparently, the damage he did set them back for a few years. However, my boss stood his ground and fought them off. He managed to take down ten of them, but unfortunately, they got the upper hand on him. You won't believe who showed up to save his life."

"Quit stalling and tell me already man!" Ray said, raising his voice slightly. He hadn't expected to get caught up in this story; he had been caught off guard. Soma just smirked.

"All right, all right, I'll get straight to the point. My boss was saved by a Fangre, and before you ask why did this guy save my boss? Well, he thought he was human; imagine his surprise when he found out my boss wasn't." Soma chuckled Rey is astonishing stun for what he is hearing.

"What happened next what was his reaction when he found out your boss was Orphnoch."

"Well, of course, he was on guard, but he followed the question as to why they were attacking him. My boss told him his reason; he was surprised by what he heard. He didn't expect to meet a renegade. My boss asked him his questions and he simply replied, "Do you ever really need a reason to save someone's life?" My boss just laughed at his response.

"Anyways, they began to share their ideals – what they believed in. Surprisingly, they had a little bit in common; one thing led to another, and they became good friends. They found two more individuals who shared her same ideals, and because of that, the Rosie Path was born. And to answer your final question, "Why the roses?" One of the members was singing "Ring Around the Rosie," and they were walking down a road paved with roses." Soma finished his explanation of the origins of the organization and Rey was left speechless; he didn't know what to say or what to think. One thing that he found really silly was the name of the organization - it all started when one of the members sang the nursery rhyme while they were walking down a road paved with roses. That was strange, but he wouldn't question it.

"So do you have any other questions my friend?"

"Just one, the roses on your card does it have some meaning to your organization or did they just pick it out because it looks nice?"

"They have a meaning for the leaders, like my boss, for instance. The yellow rose stands for friendship; joy. The red rose belonging to my boss's friend, to him it symbolizes beauty, passion, and desire. For our third member, the white rose symbolizes purity, innocence, hope, and new beginnings. Our final member, who carries the purple rose, I can't go into specifics, but let's just say the guy who carries that rose is very special." Soma explained the meaning behind the roses, which stood for the feelings and stance of the organization by its founders. Rey was intrigued by this, glad there is a meaning behind them, and not just their status or beauty.

"Interesting to summarize, as far as I know and what you told me, the organization got its start between your boss and his friend, who happened to save his life when he was being attacked by some Smart Brain goons. Thanks to that little encounter, they began talking and realized they had something in common - compassion for humanity and they both don't like the superiority nonsense that smart brain believes in. So, they decided to form a group or an organization that would help people escape the clutches of either Smart Brain or the Checkmate Four by helping them go into hiding and create new identities. Over time, they have encountered other like-minded people and have welcomed them into the organization. The rose symbolizes their feelings and beliefs. Lastly, whenever your organization members come across someone that knows too much, they immediately bring them into the organization for safety. However, I'm not going to be brought into the organization, since the power you saw me use has lucky with many other questions; You just want answers for me on how I know some of this stuff right?" Rey asked Soma was a little surprised how easily Rey managed to piece everything together.

"I'm impressed you got everything right; I told you everything you wanted to know. Now, you tell me what I want to know, or do you have another question?"

"Just one, not many Fangres talk about the Checkmate Four, and I have no doubt that smart brains know about them. How did you come to know of their existence? I can guess that your boss's friend brought him up to speed on who they are." Rey asked in a curious, suspicious tone.

"Just answer your question right there, my friend. Yeah, I'll be honest. My boss has a soft spot for them, properties reasons His friend feels really guilty about his fellow Fangres being killed simply because they love humanity and want to be a part of it. But I'm getting way off topic; am I telling your story?" someone says in an anxious tone he really wants to get this over with and want to know his new friends story.

"All right, all right, hold your horses now. Listen carefully. My story is a long, complicated one; you'll find it hard to believe when I tell you everything about myself - where I came from, how I got my powers, and where my companions came from. So, sit tight, relax; it'it's going to be a long story."

Back at the Loud house, Lincoln and Ai were in Lincoln's small bedroom, looking at comic books. When Ai first arrived in his room she commented how small it is, Lincoln informed her that his room used to be a linen closet; she stated that it must be unfortunate to have a room like that, but he reassured her that it wasn't that bad, even going as far as saying that being the only boy in the house meant he got his own private space, even if it was a small one. He took great pride in the fact that it was his own room and it was his alone.

"So these are the superheroes that brought you and Clyde together," Ai commented as she looked through the pages of his comic book titled Ace Savvy.

"That's right; it's because of Ace Savvy that we're friends—a day neither of us will ever forget." Lincoln says in a reminiscent tone.

"I have to admit, I'm new to the superhero genre," said Ai. "But, I can see why you and Clyde would enjoy it. Back home, I never got a chance to read stuff like this; my guardian always said the stuff would rot your brain and were a waste of time. He always had me read classic literature." Ai stated an annoyed and frustrated tone.

"I hope you don't mind me if I ask is Shiro the same way as your other guardian?" Lincoln asked curiously.

"No, and thankfully so, because I know she won't mind me reading this stuff. I actually want to get into this stuff because I want to understand you guys better, and I also want to share the same interest you and Clyde have." Ai sitting and determined tone.

"That reminds me after we're done looking at your comic book collection can we head downstairs and play video games?" Ai ask which caught Lincoln off guard.

"Wait, you like to play video games?" Lincoln questioned. the time he and Clyde had spent with her she doesn't seem like that kind of person I'll be interested in playing video games.

"Well, I may not look like it, but I do play video games from time to time when my other guardian is being too strict. Shiro usually sneaks some in for me to release my mind of stress. If you're curious as to what kinds of games I play, I mostly play fighting games and some racing games." Ai informed.

"I'm embarrassed to admit that I always play by myself, and it gets boring playing against a computer program rather than a real person. I've always wanted to play video games with a friend, and I was wondering if you'd be up for that idea, Lincoln?" Ai asked Lincoln begins to think about the idea after a few moments of debating he gained.

"Sure Ai I'm up for that but just so you know one thing you're going down." Lincoln said confidently Ai form a look of the termination feeling a bit challenged for what he said.

"Oh you're on Lincoln you know what forget about the comic books I want to play against you now!" Ai said aggressively.

Elsewhere we see Rey now leaving the Burping Burger on her bike behind while he was writing he released a exhausted sigh.

"Well that took longer than I thought I didn't expect him to believe anything I told him." Rey said in a surprise tone.

"Did Master really make sense in telling him everything about himself and his mission that he was sent to do?" Mine asked in a bewilder tone.

Before he left The Burping Burger, he told Soma everything about himself, where he came from, his mission, his Pokémon, and even went into details on who he believed had taken control over him to attack him. Needless to say, Soma was in a state of shock about the revelation that Rey had given him after he finished explaining everything. He took a moment to process everything that was told to him. At first, he thought Rey was pulling his leg, but after seeing the look in his eyes, he could tell that he was telling the truth and it wasn't a lie. So, he just accepted it and thanked him for telling him everything before he left. Rey made him swear it wouldn't share this information with anyone for now, and he complied and did so.

"I know what you're thinking, and I have to be honest with you; I do want the Rosie Path Organization on my side after hearing all that he told me about the organization. They seem like a wonderful asset to have on our side for many reasons. For instance, if I encounter any renegades, I can point them in the right direction and not leave them alone to their own devices. Knowing that I helped them would give me peace of mind, and it would be off my conscience." Rey said. "Besides I did promise the guy I would share something you know I'm not a man that breaks his promises." Rey States heavily emphasizing the word promise.

Mine released a tired sigh. 'Very well, I will respect your decision, master, although I do believe that you should have been more vague about it; but that's just who we are. You are an honest man to a fault.'

'Oh come on, cut him some slack; you know the boss isn't the type who likes to beat around the bush or be vague with his words. You know he's always honest.' Onibi chimed in.

As soon as he was about to make a comment or say anything, he reached the destination of the Loud House; he got off his bike, turned it off, removed his helmet, and proceeded to the front door before entering. Then he opens the door and heads inside

"I'm back." Rey says as he close the door in the living room he sees Lincoln and Ai video games the two of them paused their game to wave back at him.

"Hi Rey!" They both said in unison.

"How was your ride?" Lincoln asked curiously.

"Very relaxing. Also, I apologize if I took longer; I ran into a friend. He wanted to ask me some questions, so I had a question for him. Nothing too big, we just had a nice chat." Rey said happy for anyone could say anything he heard three knots at the front door as he answered the door. To his surprise, it was none other than Shiro standing on the other side of the door.

"Hi Shiro what brings you by here you forget something or you here to pick up Ai?"

"I'm here to pick up Ai." She answered.

"All right I'll let her know." Rey turned around and looked at Ai.

"Hey Ai Shiro is here to pick you up." Rey informed as he held the door open to show Ai that Shiro is the door waiting for her.

"Already?" Ai asked in a disappointed tone as she set the controller down and headed to the door to greet her maid.

"It's already time to go can I at least say goodbye to Lincoln's parents I want to know that I'm heading out." Shiro reply with a single nod.

"Of course." Right on cue, Rita with Lily in her arms came down the stairs as soon as she saw Shiro standing in front of the door. She went to greet her.

"Oh hello how can we help you?" Rita asked politely.

"Greetings my name is Shiro and I've come here to pick up Ai." Shiro introduce yourself in a politely manner.

"Oh, you must be Shiro," Rita said as she extended her hand. "It's nice to meet you I'm Rita Loud" Rita greeted Shiro shook her hand in response Ai, taking out four more bags of cookies and handing them to her.

"Here since she's here to pick me up; can you give these two your daughters in my place? Also, can you let your husband know that I'm leaving?"

"Of course," Rita said as she waved goodbye to Lily. Then, she turned her attention back to Lincoln and Rey.

It's wonderful to see you again, Rey and Lincoln. I'll see you at school tomorrow, so this is goodbye for now. She said in a grateful tone as she waved goodbye.

"Same here," said Lincoln. "I'll see you at school tomorrow, Ai." Lincoln and Rey watched as she made her way out of the room, followed by her maid. The door closed behind them Rita then proceed to head to the kitchen to put away the cookies that were given to her the only ones are left in the living room are Lincoln and Rey not wanting this to be a quiet moment he decided to speak.

"So how was y'all's been day since I was gone?" Rey asked wanted to catch on the speed how his and Ai day was.

"pretty good she was still a little nervous to talk to my sister is fully that's understandable after we gain my sisters their cookies we spend a day in my room looking over comic books and spend most of our hours playing video games nothing too big." Lincoln stated.

"I see I'm glad y'all had a good day." Rey says he took a seat next to Lincoln on the couch.

"It's a shame that Lori Luna and Luan didn't get to meet her; I'm sure at least two of them would have been glad to meet her." Rey says in a disappointed tone. In his thoughts, he had no doubt that Luna and Luan would have been excited to meet her. On the other hand, he had a feeling that Lori wood just be glaring at Ai, as in her delusional mind, Lincoln was already taken by her boyfriend's sister.

"It is all right can't be helped I'm sure they'll meet her eventually." Lincoln says in I understanding tone Rey gets Lincoln's attention and picks up the controller.

"Hey Lincoln since I'm here is it all right if I play with you in her place?" Rey asked permission.

"Sure." Lincoln replied immediately Rey smile slightly and unpause the game.

"All right game start."

Meanwhile, we returned back to N.V.'s cave and a portal appeared above his throne. Out of it, the hooded figure emerged, landing perfectly seated on his throne. He tapped his fingers on the right arm of his throne, seemingly in annoyance.

"Well that was a disappointing trip and discovery according to the Rook's memories, the reason the queen is in the Royal Woods in the first place is to get away from all of her royal duties, along with the occasional assassination attempt among other stuff as well. I thought it would be something big and juicy, but no - just boring stuff." N.V says an a frustrated and annoyed tone.

"Well, like usual, I turn anything boring into a fun adventure. Now, what to do, what to do, what to do?" N.V began to think as he tapped his fingers on the arm of his throne, deep in thought about what to do next.

"Hmm..." He hums to himself for a little bit then like a spark an idea I came into his mind is causing the snap his fingers and jubilation.

"Now, as I think about it, I do have something big that I've been working on; I think it's about time that I follow through on operation labyrinth." N.V said ominously.

"I will admit this operation idea is still in the early stages; I haven't fully thought it out, but thanks to the Queen being present in Royal Woods, I'll begin to think more thoroughly and carefully on what to do once I initiate Operation Labyrinth. My little adversary won't be able to escape from any of the enemies he makes, and I will introduce the Orphnoch's and Fangre's to him. Then, my chaos will truly begin." N.V stated as he began to laugh menacingly.

There we go, all finished. I apologize if this chapter wasn't as exciting; not all the chapters are going to be involving fighting or action – sometimes there will be some slice-of-life elements mixed in there to ease up the tension and action.

I promise the next chapters I will write well hopefully be a little bit more exciting.

PS. To answer everyone's questions who've been asking me about the new form and Rey getting a rival. I cannot disclose anything for the moment about Rey gaining access to Faiz's new form until the movie comes out. As for the second question about Rey gaining a rival rider, I'm not going to admit it or denying it you just have the way you see it.
