Naomi teleported herself to QUILL HQ and started sobbing uncontrollably on the couch. At first, Moniqa and Zeno looked at Naomi, each other then back at Naomi, thinking she was mental before deciding to sit on the couch with her. Moniqa sat on the left of Naomi while Zeno sat on the right.
"Ay man, what gives? What happened?" Zeno worried.
"Did something happen to GV!?" Moniqa panicked.
Naomi shook her head.
"N-no, Elise, s-s-she-" That was all Naomi could get out before she started crying again.
"Ain't Elise the one ya'll gotta kill?" Zeno asked.
"Well, it looks like the stress of the job finally got to her." Moniqa sighed.
Asimov noticed the situation and walked over to them.
"I didn't expect that mission to break you. In the meantime, you need a break. A weeks vacation should help you recover." Asimov supposed.
Naomi instantly stopped crying, looked up and started waving her hands with a horrified look on her face.
"My problems at home are way worse than anything being out on the battlefield could do. I'll take the undead and Psychokinesis psychos over being home any day. You know what happens when I'm home! It's like bein' at S-FIT all over again!" Naomi ranted.
"Especially since you do live with one of their scientists." Asimov agreed.
"I liked his assistant better." Naomi huffed.
"He was scared easily that's for sure." Asimov reminisced.
"I felt awful sorry for the guy honestly. He seemed nice enough." Naomi muttered.
"I did some digging recently and it seems that some of the things you've been told are lies." Asimov notified.
"Like?" Naomi questioned.
"Being cryogenically frozen, memories being implanted, some other things too possibly. I compared your file here to the one from the Sumeragi." Asimov elucidated.
"Great, an now how exactly do ya expect me ta come back with THAT constantly on my mind?" Naomi complained.
"I'll pay you a penny per word you add to your file every time you update it." Asimov declared.
"Even if you paid me five million dollars per word I still wouldn't do it. It's not worth the trouble. NOTHING is worth that much trouble." Naomi boldy protested.
"How does two weeks vacation sound?" Asimov wondered.
Naomi started freaking out again. So much so that she got a major adrenaline rush. Naomi stood up, ran to the stairs, ran down all the way to the base floor and ran home. But, she texted Quinn and said she was going to visit. Quinn happily agreed and said she wanted Naomi to give Gunvolt the extra cookies. Naomi told Quinn what had happened.
"Regardless, I'm going back to work tomorrow." Naomi informed.
"A-are you sure that's a good idea?" Quinn wondered.
"If he fires me, I'll join the French branch." Naomi remarked as she slouched back in the plush gray armchair.
Just the, there was a knock at the door. Quinn got up to answer it.
"GV, this is quite the pleasant surprise. W-what are you doing here?" Quinn gasped.
"I wanted to check on Naomi." Gunvolt answered.
"She's in the living room." Quinn stated.
Upon hearing those words, Naomi opened the nearest window and jumped out. She used her Flashfield to safely land on the ground before fleeing. Naomi thought about calling one of the Lyoko warriors but realized with was 3 AM on their end.
"Well, I've got nothin' better ta do than walk around." Naomi muttered.
Naomi's phone began ringing so she skeptically answered it.
"Look, I'm sorry I walked in the middle of the visit. But can apologize verbally and give a gorgeous pair of chopsticks as compensation for- hu? GV!? Oh, I'm so sorry 'bout that man! I thought you were Quinn an that she was tryna call an see why I left so fast." Naomi spoke.
"That's why I was calling." Gunvolt stated.
"I left my house just now." Naomi lied.
"Huh? But I don't understand. Quinn just told me you just left her house." Gunvolt doubted.
"Since I'm dead and she's attached to the sixth Lifewave she could've seen my soul." Naomi supposed.
"I'll have to ask." Gunvolt guessed as he ended the call. Naomi turned her phone off and happily began skipping down the sidewalk. Knowing Gunvolt fell for her little prank brought her joy. Deciding to call the Lyoko warriors later, Naomi sat on a bench and scrolled through all the Sumeragi and Septima related news she found. Naomi teleported to her room, grabbed the tray of dinner off her desk and teleported to the cafeteria.
"N-Naomi? What are you doing here?" Jeremy gawked.
"What? Can't I eat my dinner with my pals while they eat breakfast?" Naomi groaned.
"How bad was your day?" Yumi wondered.
"I choked on a rainbow fruit smoothie I got that cost five dollars. I was drinking it while reading what I could about the Sumeragi and Septima stuff on the news. I remembered something Asimov told me and that's why I choked. Anyways, it was pretty bad. How was yours? Better than mine I hope." Naomi rambled.
"Ours was good. Jeremy and I are actually in the process of testing a Sumeragi detection program." Aelita responded.
"Their building is six seven zero nine Tokyo street in Tokyo, Japan. Now you can work on what ya need ta work on." naomi commented.
"No, it can track Sumeragi employees within a one mile, five mile, fifty mile and a hundred mile radius." Jeremy staed.
"Woah! Taht's the best thing I ever heard! I'll make sure you an pinky get paid for this!" naomi cheered.
"Actually, we were wondering if you wouldn't mind us installing the program as an app on your watch. First." Aelita explained.
"Sure, heck, install a me tracker if ya have to!" Naomi begged.
"Okay, okay, just give me the watch and we'll get right to work." Aelita giggled.
Naomi quickly began fumbling with the watch and handed it to Aeltia.
"So, how's the Lyoko business been?" Naomi questioned.
"We haven't needed to go to Lyoko since Xana's no longer a threat." Jeremy answered.
"But you keep it on so Xana can help with work and whatnot?" Naomi guessed.
"He actually was the one who came up with the idea for the software." Aelita added.
"Next time you see him can ya give him my thanks?" Naomi asked.
The cafeteria door opened and Xana sat with the group. He took a seat on the left of Nicholas Poliakoff and placed it at the head of the groups table.
"Looks like you can tell him yourself." Odd commented.
"You might wanna swallow 'fore ya start chokin'. An I don't know the Heimlich maneuver." Naomi retorted.
"You can tell me what exactly?" Xana pondered.
"I wanted to say thank you for the Sumeragi detection program." Naomi smiled.
"I'm glad I could be of assistance. Especially after all the trouble I caused you." Xana sighed.
"You've actually helped me more than ya know. Those years of bein' stuck at S-FIT were heck, yeah. It was nice to have some company to help me make sure I wasn't losing my mind." Naomi joked.
"What do they do to people there?" Yumi asked.
Naomi shook her head.
"It's, there's no negative, or any kind of word to describe it. They'd electrocute you, burn you with fire, put you in a wind tunnel, put people in rooms with neck deep water, expose them to blinding and hot lights, force you to sing till you lose your voice, all sorts of messed up stuff." Naomi explained.
"There's more!?" Odd exclaimed.
"Keep your voice down! Yeah, more than we know." Naomi shushed.
Suddenly, Naomi's phone started ringing.
