On the streets of Shanghai, David continued to ride Miraidon as he was chased across the streets.
"Hahahaha! Hope you like fireworks!" Flux said as he continued to fire shots at the lone rider.
"Damn, he's so persistent." David said as he kept weaving to avoid the shots. "Agh, this ruckus will definitely get the cops to come. We gotta lose these suckers."
"You're not going anywhere!" Flux said catching up. "Now give me back that bracelet. And the Ladybug Miraculous while we're at it!"
"Sucks to be you. I don't have the Miraculous." David said.
"Oh…well let me make this simple. Hand over the bracelet or you get to become part of the Chinese fireworks display." Flux said aiming the cannon at him.
"Can't we take a break? We've been pulling you around all day!" DaDan said.
"You can rest when I wipe the pavement with frosted tips here!" Flux said. "Seriously, why did you even take it anyway?"
"I'm not sure you'd believe me even if I told you. But all I'll say is that we need it more than you do." David said.
"Well now I want it more." Flux said.
"Sir. Weren't we supposed to go somewhere?" Ian asked.
"Damn it. You're right." Flux said. "Well…I gotta run but since I know you hate boring things…" he said firing right at a truck carrying concrete pipes as they rolled down the road. "Have fun!" Flux said as he turned away.
"Oh, not good." David said. "Well, Miraidon. Guess it's time for our stuntman audition."
The two of them swiftly started to dodge the pipes as they rode down the road before coming to a big one as they slid right under it as it jumped.
"Whoo! That was awesome!" David said. "Nice work, Miraidon! I'm definitely getting you a specialty sandwich after that."
Miraidon roared happily at the manuverability.
"Now… What to do with this bracelet…? Should we head back to the Galaxy King and hope that girl is awake… Or do we follow them guns blazing?" David asked.
Miraidon roared as it drove off with David after where Flux went.
"Yep. Guess we're following them." David said. "You're right. We shouldn't be too hasty. We'll bring this to her later."
Alear continued to speak with Reformed Society and Bismuth and Peridot before she got up.
"What's wrong?" Yangus asked.
"I just have this…feeling. Something is going on. Magical forces are at play as we speak." Alear said.
"Sounds like the others are in a bit of trouble." Belladonna said.
"But it shouldn't be a problem. They can handle it, right? There's no reason for us to be out there." Rhatla said.
"I must go." Alear said, heading off.
"Hey, wait! You have no idea what's out there!" Glacius tried to warn Alear.
"Hmm… yes, she'll be a stranger in the city, and she might have no idea where she'll be going." Peridot said. "That settles it! We're going with her!"
"Well, I guess we don't have much of a choice. It would be bad if she got herself killed right now." Valfor said.
Near some old ruins, the Universal Villains scoped around.
"Hmm…not a bad place. Could use some paint but…oh come on!" Spinel said as she spotted the heroes nearby with Fei.
"What are they doing here?" Eggman said.
"Hmm…" Gabriel pondered as the girls talked.
"Fei…why do we have to be here?" Marinette asked.
"I have to guard my father's legacy." Fei said.
"But your father…." Marinette said, seeing a picture with flowers before it.
"Disappeared with his school." Fei said.
"Oh…" some of them said.
"They did everything to make us leave. Everything! Intimidation, burglary... They took everything from us, even the bracelet he had entrusted me with. The jewel I told you about, it's as precious to me as your earrings are to you, except that this jewel had a power." Fei said.
"And who are they?" Gray asked.
"That's the thing. I don't know. It's my search for their identity that brought us together today, Marinette. There's something I've got to tell you. I-" Fei started.
"You really thought you could escape me, Fei?" a voice asked as Cash emerged from the darkness fanning himself with a paper fan.
"It's him again." Revali said.
"He's certainly stubborn." Hapi said.
"Wait…you and Fei know each other?" Charmy asked.
"Do we know each other? Hahahaha! She is the one who stole your friend's earrings and then stole them from me!" Cash said.
Marinette was shocked.
"Caught in the act." Vashyron said.
"I-I was going to tell her but…" Fei said.
"You knew how desperate I was and knew I'd pay any price." Marinette said.
"I'm sorry! He told me he knew someone who could tell me what happened to my father! But he demanded a huge sum of money in exchange for the truth!" Fei said.
"Truth isn't free. No pay, no game baby." Cash said before getting out his phone. "Now you are going to make the call and get me the money you all owe me!"
*BANG!*
Simon shot the phone out of Cash's hands.
"Simon!" Marinette chided.
"I'm not going to sit here and…" Simon said as blue flames flickered as he was engulfed in them. "What the…?!"
"Blue flames?! Oh no…" Hope said.
"Well….isn't this a happy reunion…" a voice said as a certain patchwork villain walked out with blue fire around him.
"Dabi!" Roy said.
"Who?" Fei asked.
"A member of this group called the league of villains whos got a nasty form of Pyrokinesis." Hope said.
"You know…you're way too chatty." Dabi said firing at Hope who dodged.
A pair of familiar yo-yo's swung out of the flames as they pushed Dabi back.
"Damn…I really wasn't expecting that." Simon said as he stood there breathing heavily a bit.
"What's Dabi doing here? I thought he and the league ditched Techno when his New York Takeover backfired." Tsumugi said.
The villains watched in hiding.
"Damn it. We told them not to make moves of their own." Boba Fett said.
"Still think it was a good idea to bring the League back into the fold, Techno?" Jasper asked.
"This was…regretful, but in hindsight, not unexpected." Techno sighed. "Though that man…"
"Yeah. He's the one who gouged us for that bracelet." Spinel said.
"Ha…maybe we should throw the guy a bonus, eh?" Eggman asked Gabriel. "If you know what I mean."
"Of course. Dabi might have ruined the surprise… but he has given me the perfect pawn. Nooroo, Dark Wings Rise!" he said, transforming into Hawk Moth before releasing an Akuma.
"Look, just give me my answer!" Fei demanded of Cash.
"The truth? The truth is, if that girl doesn't call her uncle, you'll meet the same fate as your father!" Cash said as Fei kicked him into a pillar.
"That answers that question. You're the one who caused Fei so much misfortune!" Frosta said.
"Everyone, I'm sorry I lied to you, and Marinette." Fei said.
"It's okay, Fei. We understand your reasons." Zacian said.
"You're outgunned, villain!" Izuku said.
"Oh…I am?" Dabi asked, seeing the Akuma flying into Cash's fan.
"King Cash, I am Hawk Moth. You want to be rich? Something very valuable is hidden behind that waterfall. If you help me get my hands on it, I will make you rich beyond your wildest dream." Hawk Moth said.
"A deal's a deal." Cash laughed as he transformed into the golden clad villain now known as King Cash.
"Marinette, run!" Koala said as they were on the defensive.
"The silver blades on your fan can cut through anything while the gold ones will turn anything they hit into a gold statue." Hawk Moth explained as he emerged with the other Universal Villains.
"Hahaahaha! Let's get rich!" King Cash said as they headed for the waterfall.
"We have to stop them!" Hope said.
"I don't think so." Dabi said, cutting them off with a wall of flames. "That oughta keep 'em for awhile." Dabi said as he joined the group. As they headed to the waterfall, the rickshaw arrived.
"Sorry we're late." Flux said. "I ran into some…unexpected circumstances." Flux said as Ian and DaDan panted.
"Nevermind that now. Our target awaits." Hawk Moth said as they headed inside.
Marinette managed to get away from the dojo a bit before Tikki came out.
"Okay…it's go time. Tikki, spots on!" Marinette said as she transformed into Ladybug.
The Universal Villains and King Cash approached a stone blockade.
"Let's see if money really can open any door." Boba said as King Cash slashed the stone slab in the way to pieces.
"No one is allowed into the sacred cave!" Fei said, arriving on the scene and having evaded Dabis flames, striking at King Cash after he demolished the stone slab, but Spinel stretched her arm and caught her by the waist.
"Sorry girlie, but you're just wasting your time." Spinel smirked.
"And time is money." King Cash said as the twisted gem threw her through the waterfall and into the well outside. Fei proceeded to climb her way back out, but a yo-yo soon dropped down to her.
"Grab on!" Ladybug called from above, being the one who cast it, pulling Fei up.
"Who are you?" Fei asked.
"Ladybug." the superhero introduced.
"I'm Fei. You're with those others, right?" Fei asked, referring to the Hero Alliance.
"Yes, I'm one of Jexi's teammates." the heroine confirmed. "I can't take on Hawkmoth and the entirety of the Universal Villains alone, especially since someone dangerous like Dabi's here."
"Can you extinguish those blue flames that arsonist blasted?" Fei asked.
"No…" Ladybug said before she heard the revving of an engine. "But I think I know someone who just might."
Just then a window bursts open as David and Miraidon land on the ground and slides on their side.
"Ha… I always wanted to do that." David said before spotting the blue flames. "Blue flames… Dabi, no doubt. Well, guess I better get to work."
"We all do." Jexi said as the flames were put out as they headed after the villains.
"You got the bracelet?" Sectonia asked as David showed his wrist, the bracelet still on. "Alright, good. At least we won't have to worry about that."
Down below, the villains soon reached a vast chamber.
"Now…let's see if this was a good investment." Hawk Moth said, taking out a small bracelet.
"So you were my mysterious buyer. I never made so much off of a piece of junk." King Cash said. As he laughed, the six groups got into position.
Outside, the moon fully eclipsed and became a dark crimson red, as the light glared into a single spot vanished, opening up a compartment as a green stone showing a chinese lion's face was seen.
"I've been waiting for this moment for 15 years." Hawk Moth said as he held the bracelet to it.
"That's my bracelet!" Fei said. "My father told me to protect it and this shrine with my life and I failed at both."
A brilliant green light then shined from the bracelet, as emerging from the wall was a large guardian figure in the form of a human with a lion's face, standing over several stories higher than anybody in the chamber.
"Humans, prepare to face the judgment of Mei Shi, the Lion Protector of the Prodigious." it said.
"The Prodigious?" Ladybug asked.
"It's something Theodore told us Hawk Moth and the Universal Villains were very interested in. if they want it, it can't be good." Ragna said.
Mei Shi stepped aside, revealing a hidden compartment that held a withered box. From one touch of Hawk Moths hand, the box crumbled, revealing a circular red pendant with seven small black circles and a larger one in the center.
"It looks just like a Miraculous." Al said.
"Put the Prodigious around your neck, human, and prepare to face my judgment." Mei Shi declared.
"Who said I would be the one fighting? King Cash! Turn this lion into a gold statue." Hawk Moth commanded.
"Huh? Wait. That's not in the rules." Mei Shi said.
"I'm afraid the rules are changing." Techno replied, as King Cash prepared to strike.
Suddenly, Ladybug's yo-yo slung in and snagged Hawk Moth by the legs. The heroine herself then came out of the shadows and pulled the Butterfly Villain into the air, making him drop the Prodigious out of his hands and to the heroes feet.
"No!" Hawk Moth cried.
"The heroes arrive at the last second!" Peacock declared.
"I'm taking over my father's mission!" Fei said as she picked the Prodigious up and entered a martial arts stance.
"Then I shall be judging you, human." Mei Shi said as he sat down.
"What?! No fair!" DaDan cried.
"Hey, you guys are the ones who changed the game first." Bow said.
"We'll teach you to steal from us twice-!" Spinel said as the fighters of the Universal Villains advanced, but only a little as a hail of bullets, arrows and spells interrupted them. "Hey! What the…?!"
"Yo!" a voice called from the entrance to the cave as Connor and Team Revival stood there. "This a private fight, or can anyone join in?"
"You gotta be kidding me! Not the big screw up again!" DaDan said.
"By all means, if you want to die, feel free to join us." Techno replied to Connor.
"However…" Dabi said as he stood with the rest of the League of Villains. "You're marching to your death."
"What? No Shigaraki this time?" David asked.
"I'm…right here!" Shigaraki said as his hand was around David's neck. "Four fingers. You know what'll happen if I have all five on you."
"All too well." David said calmly.
"Not even flinching. He's got nerves of steel alright." Spinner said.
"Surprised to see us all back together with the Universal Villains, Davey?" Toga asked.
"Surprised isn't really the right word for it." David said.
"Why are you all back with them anyway? I though you ditched Techno in New York." Ladybug said.
"I had to track them all back down." Flux said. "All on his request." he said, pointing to Techno.
"It was better to cut them loose before being imprisoned. Of course, someone didn't share that getting caught was part of their plan." Compress said.
"I was fueled by revenge at the time. But…now things are much different now." Techno said.
"And what's so different this time that makes them wanna stick around?" Vashyron asked.
"A more competent group with plenty of soldiers and resources." Spinner said.
"Well, competent, I can understand. Clearly not feeling the same vibe." David said.
"Enough. You all are caught…in our trap!" Twice said as emerging from the dark were hundreds of copies from the villains.
"Looks like we ran right into this one." Jexi said.
"That is enough!" a voice called out as the groups looked nearby to see Alear standing there.
"And who is this?" Flux said.
"My name…is Alear. And I am their friend!" Alear declared.
"She's with these guys?!" DaDan said.
"Dammit, it's just one no-good girl. We can take her." Flux said.
"Don't try anything, double eyes! In case you haven't noticed, you're hopelessly outnumbered!" DaDan said.
"They're right… and I rushed ahead of the others… what can I do?" Alear asked herself.
"Alear…."
"Huh?" Alear asked.
(Cue: Engage- Fire Emblem Engage)
"You must remember, Alear…"
"Who said that?" Alear asked, before looking to the ring on her right hand. "The ring…"
"Know that my strength can be yours."
"I know that voice…" Alear said.
"If ever we cross paths again, I hope you will remember me. Indeed, that you will remember all of us who took up arms to fight by your side."
"The 12 Emblems…" Alear smiled as she looked on with determination. "Shine on, Emblem of Beginnings!" Alear called out as her ring glowed. Before them all appeared a spirit-like entity in the shape of a certain swordsman.
"Marth?!" they all said in surprise.
"Huh? Oh…you all must be familiar with the real one. I am Emblem Marth." he said. "It is a …oh. Minerva? Linde?" he said.
"I see. While he is not the Marth we know, He has the same memories and experience as the real one." Ace said.
"I have to say, I wasn't expecting to see either of you here." Marth said. "But for now…" he said, drawing his blade.
"Let's go into battle." Alear said, drawing a sword of her own as they both charged into battle, right at Twice's clone army. She started to cut through the copies as he made her way to the main force.
"What power. That ring…we need that ring." Flux said.
Alear smiled as she pulled her blade back. "Emblem…ENGAGE!" she declared as she was consumed with a bright light shined as she stood there in all white with her sword shining bright.
"She merged with that spirit thing?! No fricken way!" Twice said.
"Whoa… Nice." David said.
"Lodestar….Rush!" Alear said as she thrusted her sword multiple times before sending a majority of the villains flying with just her blade.
"Whoa! She's so fast." David said as he regained his footing and coughed a bit. "Strangulation is never a good feeling. Thanks for the save…Alear, you said your name was?"
"Yes. It's good to meet all of you. Your friends back on that ship explained everything." Alear said before looking to Dan. "You must be Dan Kuso. Thank you for saving me from Theodore's clutches."
"Uh…no problem." Dan said, a little surprised.
"Well….wasn't expecting that. Let's grab the Prodigious and…" Flux said. "Wait…where'd it…" he said before they saw Fei grabbing hold of it.
Fei put the necklace on as she donned a suit of red and yellow as her hair turned red and fiery. As she did, 8 small creatures appeared around her in a separate space.
"Greetings to our new Renren." they said.
"Greetings to your what?" Fei asked.
"Renren…it's what we call the one who wears the Prodigious." the dragon-like creature said.
"Who are you talking to?!" Raphael asked, in the middle of a slug fest with Jasper.
"Only the Renren can see us." the monkey like creature said.
"Some kind of magic little creatures but apparently I'm the only one who can see them." Fei said. "Un…Renlings I guess?"
"Oh…they were mentioned in one of the books. Small creatures that represent human values." Robin said as she broke a clone back as it dissolved. "A cousin race to the Kwamis."
"Somehow, not much of a surprise." Zacian said as he sweeped a few clones with his blade.
"It's to be expected." Rime said before summoning an array of magic formed arrows as they rained down on more clones.
"So, they do anything differently?" Connor asked, shooting it out with Boba Fett.
"Each of us can turn you into a different animal if you are worthy of the value it represents." a snake-like creature said to Fei.
"For instance, if you wish to become a mantis, you would need me, Tang Tang, Renling of Patience." a mantis-like creature said.
"Not having much patience right now!" Fei said as she moved and dodged.
"Xiong Xiong, Renling of Calm." a bear-like creature said.
"Calm? Are you kidding?" Fei said.
"Calm like a bear. Big and strong like a bear." Xiong Xiong said.
Fei then calmed down as she prepared. "Xiong." she said before transforming into a red and yellow bear as she rammed into the villains.
"Uh…who are you?" Connor asked.
"Lady Bear…apparently." Fei said.
"She's still the same person, only she's become an animal represented on the Prodigious." Lysithea analyzed.
"That's amazing! Do it again!" Peacock encouraged.
"Peacock, she's kind of still getting used to it right now." David said as he was in his Sapphire God Mode form, duking it out with Frieza.
"Okay….Lucky Charm!" Ladybug said spinning her yo yo as appearing was a basketball.
"What are you supposed to do with that?" Fei asked.
"Not sure yet." Ladybug said as she tossed the ball at Hawk Moth as King Cash went to strike.
"Tang!" Fei said, turning into a mantis to avoid his strike.
"Nice, you're getting the hang of it!" Yuzuriha complemented.
"Save it for later. We gotta destroy the fan." Jexi said.
"Got it. She!" Fei said, turning into a snake and slithering between King Cash's attacks. "Long!" she called out but nothing happened.
"Fei, listen to me. You mustn't be fueled by negative emotions." David said.
"The girl with the motorcycle speaks the truth." Mei Shi said.
"Uh, actually… You know what, never mind." David said.
"The dragon is the most noble of the powers. Your intentions must also be noble." Mei Shi said.
"Of course my intentions are noble. I want revenge for all he's done to me!" Fei said.
"Revenge?! That is the opposite of the values of the dragon! Your judgment and your intentions are clouded!" Mei Shi said.
"I get it! To transform into a dragon, Fei must have a strong sense of Justice!" Lei K said, backflipping to avoid some clones before kicking them away.
"Then I'll find another way. Hou!" Fei said, turning into a monkey and leaping onto King Cash.
"Fei, listen! A lot of us here have been where you are, but trust us! Revenge won't solve your problems, if anything they'll make them worse!" Glimmer said.
"Too bad she's already dead!" Flux said as King Cash knocked her into a pond as Flux blew down a pillar as it fell onto the pond using the fireworks cannon. "I love this thing!"
"Any last words before you join her?" Jasper asked.
Connor then looked to the roof of the cave to see Cat Noir up in the shadows, signaling them with a smirk. "Yeah. You're about to have some bad luck."
"Bad luck?" Techno questioned.
"What? You haven't heard the superstition about seeing black cats?" Connor asked before quickly drawing one of his revolvers and shooting King Cash's fan out of his hand and into the air, Cat Noir leaping for it. King Cash tried to leap at it only for Ladybug to toss the basketball at him as it bounced and knocked the fan into Cat Noir's line of sight.
"I don't think so, mangy feline!" Flux said, turning to point the firework cannon at Cat Noir, only for Mark to fire a Ki Blast at the cannon and destroy it. "No, my new cannon!"
"Cataclysm!" Cat Noir called out as he destroyed the fan, reverting King Cash back to normal.
"Great…" Flux said. "Out of soldiers."
"No…I don't think we are…" Hawk Moth said as he eyed Mei Shi. "Techno, go test your theory!"
"With pleasure!" Techno declared as he ran towards the guardian and placed a hand on him, the akuma following behind. "Mei Shi…welcome to servitude."
Techno's power overlapped Mei Shi at the same time the akuma hit his orb.
"I… will not serve you, Amadeus Flux Junior!" Mei shi declared, the Akuma's darkness overwhelming him.
"And yet, the akuma affects you." Techno said, stepping back. "It would seem you aren't as good of a guardian as you thought."
"The Prodigious…there are none left who are worthy…" Mei Shi said in despair.
"Then take it back. Cast your judgment on those who wish to use it for their own gain… Yan Luo Shi!"
"Yes…" the newly akumatized guardian said as he stood up. "That girl…will not live to see the dawn!" he roared in rage, turning purple as he started growing even larger.
"Something's wrong! He's not robotized!" Eggman said to Techno.
"The Akuma overlapped Techno's Color Energy! His emotions are strong enough to resist Lord Techno's power!" Photon realized.
"Run?" Hilda asked.
"Yes!" they all called out as they ran from the growing villain as he emerged to the surface.
"Yes!" Techno and Gabriel cheered.
"Uh…not to rain on your parade but…" Ian said, pointing to the city as the large creature marched towards it.
"Wait…no, she couldn't have gotten that far!" Techno said in dread. "Hawk Moth, he thinks she's in the city!"
"Adrien!" Hawk Moth realized in horror. "Yan Luo Shi, stop! She's not in the city! The Prodigious isn't there! We can always take your powers away!"
Yan Luo Shi looked down at the Universal Villains and blasted a majority of them, including Hawk Moth as they faded as ash. "You do not command me!" he called out.
The remaining members scrambled away, Techno among them. "Damn…who did we lose?"
"Uh…it's only us now." Flux said, sitting with Ian, DaDan and Spinel.
"You tried to take control of a god, and this is the result of your arrogance." Yuri said.
"Uh huh…and while you all lecture us…a giant monster is destroying Shanghai!" Flux said.
"Not that you aren't correct, of course…" Techno admitted. "Yan Luo Shi will tear the city apart until it finds that girl. Where did she run off to? Did Flux manage to…?"
"I'm still here." Fei said, surprising Techno as she was right there in human form.
"Fei, you're alive!" Noel said.
"I used She She's power to become a snake at the last second before the column crashed down on me. And since snakes can breathe underwater, I dived down into the pool to avoid the crash." Fei said.
"Thats all well and good, but how are we going to stop that rampaging guardian?" Lorenz asked.
"The akuma flew into the orb. So that's what we need to destroy to…" Jexi said as Yan Luo Shi swallowed it. "Well…this just got harder…"
