Notes: I will be establishing the OC's Callsigns to actual names, after that I will only use callsigns in dialogue.

"Oh my gosh Miyako, you can't- I-" Hikari finally sighed in frustration, "we are all still digidestined, we not gonna be divided, you can't make us pick friends because you're mad at Ken...Again." She said, turning to continue walking, a small pang of guilt and the image of Daisuke flashed thinking about the digidestined being divided.
"Look I'm not just mad at him I'm leaving him! He's not listening to me, he's ignoring me, and we're spending less time together!" She started.
Hikari half smiled and rolled her eyes and stopped again, "it doesn't have anything to do with his acceptance into his professor's program? The one he said would take him out of the country for 6 months?"
"He didn't even ask me! He hasn't replied since yesterday-" Miyako was interrupted.
"He totally asked you, quit. Let's just eat, we'll talk about it again later." Hikari stopped her as they entered the small cafe.
"Ugh, it's not fair, it wasn't supposed to feel like this." Miyako grumbled under her breath accepting it as she followed Hikari. As she walked behind, ahead of her she saw her lean down and kiss a cheek.
"See good boyfriends should be like Takeru. Already picked a table, has drinks ordered, perfect." Miyako said making a face.
"Ignore Miyako, she's pouting because she misses Ken." Hikari told him, sitting beside him.
"I am NOT missing him. He's missing me, and I don't care. I won't answer. I'll leave him waiting like he's had me!" She exclaimed.
"Your phone's ringing." Takeru told Miyako as she began to sit. She stopped and frantically searched for her phone. Which she'd already sat down and was obviously not ringing. "Mhmm, you'll leave him waiting my ass." He finished laughing. Miyako glared at the trick when she realized, pushing his keys off the table. He laughed more at her agitation.
"Whatever, I thought Yamato was coming today too? Where's my favorite brother." She said sticking her tongue out.
Takeru laughed again, "he said he had an interview, he'd have to reschedule. I didn't even know he was looking into jobs, but recently he's been hard to talk to lately."
Hikari looked at him, "like how?"
"I don't know, like the other night I was asking him something and he just kind of zoned out he said, never answered just said he had to go and hung up." Takeru sighed.
"He's been trying job after job since..." Takeru trailed of. The two girls knew what he was speaking of, the moment he lost his partner.
"He's determined to find his purpose he said to me once after one of his last shows." Takeru told them.
They all thought about that as they grew silent waiting on their order.

Daisuke stood at attention as an American general met them and greeted them and welcomed them aboard.
The general them took his leave letting his assistants take over from there.
"You've obviously got access to any systems onboard. You're set up in the Conference Room B down that hall at the very end. Your director's helicopter is 35 minutes out."
"Thank you sir." Daisuke nodded. He and the rest of the team headed towards the room he pointed out, but Daisuke turned back and asked, "any news on our injured Captain?"
"No sir, but I'll find out and see that you're all informed." The assistant said as he turned, Daisuke followed suit and met back with the team at the door of Conference Room B.
Daisuke looked at his team, his family and he felt a sense of Déjà vu. He remembered the digidestined, he missed them. 'Back when life was simpler.' He thought as he sighed.
His big German teammate noticed his aura and spoke up, "cheer up little sharp friend, Claude will be fine. We will find Noah." As Gunther patted his shoulder, his huge hand knocking Daisuke's balance some they continued inside.
"Gunther is right mate, Michael will be here soon, we'll get a game plan and get back out there. No sense in dwelling." Icetea backed up the big man.
"You're right Adelaide, both of you. But it's not just that..." he hesitated as they all sat down in the conference room, except Gucci who was getting coffee in the corner of the room.
"What is wrong then?" Iris asked him frankly.
"Look... nothing. We've got work to do, we need to focus on the debrief and what our next move will be." Daisuke said, wiping off any more sense of doubt or concern on his face.
"And there's the Razor Motomiya, sharp and slick but cuts you off when you get close. Don't bother Lizzy, you should know better." Adelaide told her rolling her eyes as she turned her chair to look out of the small ship window.
"I can't not try." She said as she shrugged her shoulders.
Everyone stopped and stood up as the door burst open. Michael stormed in, looked directly at Daisuke.
"What the fuck was that?!" He demanded.
"Why do you always look at me when it goes bad?" He asked in defense.
"Seriously Daisuke I-." The door clicked shut and Michael looked over his shoulder to confirm, once he did he turned back and whispered.
"I've already spoken to Claude, he's out of surgery. It was a setup, they came straight for them, the evidence was never there. We've got a rat in house. Noah was knocked out and taken alive he said." You could feel the relief sweeping through the team knowing their teammates were still alive. But the relief quickly changed.
"What's the plan?" Daisuke asked quietly, not questioning anything
"Right now I want you guys to lay low for a couple of days, when I get it all set up we're going to set a trap. Until then, temporary leave effective immediately.

Yamato looked slightly nervous but pushed the feeling away as he pulled the door open. 'Is this really what I want? I could totally go back to being covered in girls and booze...' he stopped and turned around. He stood in the doorway, frozen.
'I've always dreamed about space though.' He sighed. He knew he couldn't back out now. He turned back again to head inside and jumped slightly as he saw someone staring back at him.
He put his hand on his head and laughed, "I uh... Sorry about that, I was-"
"Figuring out if you had to balls to do this or not?" The man laughed as Yamato looked embarrassed being called directly out. "Good, we need balls, you're the one that sings, what the hell do you wanna do this for?"
"I mean, honestly? I've always loved space, and I miss exploration and excitement. When I was a kid I used to...explore-" Yamato said being vague.
"You're referring to your time in the Digital World?" The man questioned.
Yamato didn't include that nor his music in the application. "How do you know all this?"
The man smirked, "well since we're being honest, I work for a shadow agency that works alongside but above many government and military positions. We have a position and when we saw your application here and did the research you became the prime candidate, we have a vetted a few but none with your experience." The man told him straight faced.
Yamato sort of laughed at first, the man did not. Nor did he show any sign of humor.
"Wait you're serious?" Yamato asked, 'this has to be a psyc evaluation or something. Or a joke.' He thought.
"I said since we're being honest. So, do you want to go in there and take your chances with the rest at a spot? Or would you rather make a difference again and maybe save the world from time to time?" Yamato wasn't sure, but he wasn't about to sit around and wait for something to happen.
"Fuck it, let's do it."
"That's the spirit kid, now," he turned him around and they exited the building, "you've got a lot to learn and not long to learn it, come on." A blacked out luxury car pulled up, he went to the other side.
"Where are we going? My brother-" Yamato started as he sat down in the car.
"You'll want to tell them later you got in and you've got to go to training. Once you've gotten special access clearance training and basic you'll be able to go back in the public eye." The man told him.
"This is very cloak and dagger." Yamato complained, the man laughed.
"You'll see why shortly, don't worry." The car drove on into the night.
