I'm in a car. I don't know what kind of car, but I know it's a car. The car is black with tons of scratches, dents, and rust spots. The interior has five seats, a radio, and is crowded with trash, clothes, and mystery items.

I'm happy. Not only to be away from that place, but because I'm in a car. One kid would always talk to me about them. Mostly because none of the other kids were interested. Sometimes the guardian would tell him to stop, that I was "dangerous", the kid didn't care though. He just wanted someone to talk to about cars and explain things he figured I wouldn't understand. Like radios. He couldn't with anyone else because they either wouldn't listen, or they'd tell him to talk about something else.

He taught me things like what phones were, how people dressed now, how more people could read and write. He's tried teaching me how to read, but that didn't work out so well.

Out of all the things he talked about, I liked it when he talked about cars the most. It lasted longer, meaning I'd have less time alone with my thoughts, and cars were interesting to me. I want one. Not sure what kind, but I want one.

Suddenly, the car I was in jolted forward. The bag the ring was in flew to the front, and, by extension, me as well. I am no longer happy. I am upset. I liked being in the car and now I am outside it. I looked through the front window, the guy was grabbing at the bag and apologizing.

"Shit fuck goddamnit, evil spirit thing please don't kill me" he cried.

Kill you? With what body!? Unless you put the ring on nothing bad is going to happen!

I grumble and move my spirit back in the car. But then this guy takes the bag and leaves the car! So now I have to leave!

"Fuck," guy croaks out, "it's to damn early for this, but I'm already here."

Already where?! At a place that isn't a car! It was just a stupid building! It didn't even look like it had comfy seats, unlike the car.

We go inside the building. The guy looks around, pulls out a phone, didn't know he could afford one, and checks the time.

"Alright, it's 8:25, he should be here soon."

Who? A guy who can break properly hopefully.

The guy went to sit on a bench. I want to go back in the car. It's too bright in the building. Even though the sun was rising, the car was still kind of dark. This room was too clean. It looked cold in here.

I looked back over to the guy, and he was asleep. He was so asleep that he was snoring. To be fair, he did steal me in the middle of the night, and he did drive for a long time. If he didn't take me out of the car I'd feel bad.

Some loud, echoey footsteps resonated throughout the building. There were other people here? Is it the person this guy was talking about? I can't move far from the ring, so I could barely see down either hallway.

Soon, two people enter the room. The biggest man I have ever seen, a whole pillar high, and a woman who looked like she hadn't slept in a week. Tall guy had blue hair and glasses. He looked over at my guy, and walked over, waving to the woman who waved back and continued walking.

"Hey," Tall Man shook my guy, trying to wake him, "Ahmed?" His voice was husky and lightly accented. Was he a foreigner?

My guy woke up. "Yeah, I'm up, sorry." He slurred.

"It's fine. Did you get the Millennium Ring?"

How did he find out about the ring?

"Yeah, hold on." He reached in his bag and pulled the ring out.

Tall Man had the most excited grin I've ever seen anyone grow on his face. He grabbed the ring.

"You found it! You actually found it!" He exclaimed.

"Yeah, I was surprised too. Can I have the money now?"

"Of course! In fact, you can have a job here!"

"What." I was surprised too.

"You found an ancient artifact way faster than anyone else I hired, you deserve a job!"

My guy, or Ahmed, looked confused, but nodded his head.

"Ok, sure,"

"Wonderful!" Tall Man took something out of his pocket, and took 7 pieces of paper out of that something. "Here's the money! Thank you so much!"

"No problem, I guess," Ahmed was still surprised.

They exchanged a few pleasantries, and Ahmed left. Still confused. I might miss him… and his car.

Tall Man looked down at the ring still beaming.

"Before I take you anywhere," he began, "my name is Samuel Bakura, and my son is your host".
