Own no intellectual properties. I have had some characters designed for a pro wrestling story for a while now and just wanted to find an outlet on here to put them. After a friend referred me to "Wanna Be the World's Strongest." I felt this was a good storyline and good characters to work with. This story is going to be focusing on plot, characters, drama and action.

The ambulance blared through the streets on it's way to the hospital. Within, Sakura laid in a stretcher as Takeo sat beside her holding onto her hand.
" Everything's fine, do you understand ?" Takeo said looking into his wife's eyes.
Sakura nervously nodded.
Later….
Sakura laid in her hospital bed with Takeo by her side in a chair. As the doctor walked in he closed the door. Behind the door nothing could be heard of what the doctr was telling them. What was evident however, was the reaction to what he told them. Sakura brought her hand to her mouth as tears flowed down her eyes. Takeo's eyes were wide open as if he were terrified. He looked to Sakura and came into hug her tightly as Sakura returned it. Remorseful by delivering the news, the doctor bowed in apology then stepped out of room, as he opened the door, the guttural cries from Sakura could be heard echoing in the halls. Takeo continued to huh her tightly.
Days Later….
" Idol Wrestler Miscarries" Was the title of several magazines on a newsstand.
In another part of town, Rio is seen with her hands to her mouth, her eyes brimmed with tears with an almost nauseated feeling. " What have I done?"
At the Sonata apartment, Sakura laid in bed staring out the window. Her eyes worn from the constant tears she had shed over the past few days. Since returning home she has barely moved from her bed.
In the bathroom, Takeo lets the shower rush over him as he holds himself up against the wall with his other hand over his mouth. The pain of recent events took a great toll on him as he stared down at the tub. After drying himself off, he came back to bed and nestled up behind his wife who he saw had her hand around her midsection where their daughter once was. He placed his hand on her shoulder and placed his forehead on the back of hers. They didn't need to talk, they were just in tune with each other's feelings. Sakura turned over and placed her forehead against his. She wanted to cry, but the days of constant tears left her eyes red and somewhat swollen. Takeo brought up his hand and brushed her hair away from her face. The 2 embraced each other in a hug.
Later…
" With everything that's happened. I don't blame you if you turn it down. But the rematch has been set. I'll give you some time to think about it." Takeo's coach said over the phone.
" Thanks coach." Takeo said before hanging up.
" What happened?" Sakura said laying next to Takeo.
" The rematch is set."
" Ok…" Sakura said in an understanding tone.
" I'm not gonna do it."
" No… If you don't do it they might strip you of the belt…."
" I'm gonna give up the belt…." Takeo said.
" But you worked so hard for it." Sakura said.
" It's just leather and metal. It means nothing to me."
" Are you sure about this?"
" I don't want to talk about it right now. It's not important."
Days Later…..
" Sue me?" Takeo said.
" Apparently they're cracking down on this. Trust me I fought it tooth and nail." Said his coach.
" I just lost a child!" Takeo yelled.
" I know, but under the new guidelines if a wrestler is not injured he cannot turn down a scheduled title defense, even if he gives up the belt."
" Tell them to just try it!" Takeo yelled.
" Takeo, we don't want to give them a reason to kick you out of the league."
Later…..
" I see…" Sakura said.
" What do they want from me?" Takeo said aggravated.
" We'll figure it out." Sakura said. " By the way my parents called. They're going to be here the day after tomorrow."
" They're coming?"
" Mm-hmm."
" Ok…I'll get the guest room ready…."
Meanwhile at Berzerk Misaki spoke with seemingly the entire roster.
" Sakura may not be coming in for a while. " Misaki said.
All the wrestlers were gathered, varying looks of sadness evident in their faces. Rio especially looked at the ground with her eyes quivering.
" So…what can we do? How can we help Sakura?" Moe asked.
" As her friends, all we can do is be there for her.."
Hearing these words made Rio swipe away her tears with her forearm before immediately walking for the door, shutting it behind her.
Misaki observed this and felt Rio must be taking the news especially hard.
A week later….
Takeo's back hit the mat as Bob jumped for the cover.
" 1…2…3!"
The bell rang as the crowd's reaction was mixed with cheers and boos.
" A win for Bob Ortiz, he's reclaimed his title, but I have to say this was not the same Wild Child we saw in their first match. But who can really blame him given recent events?" One of the commentators said.
Takeo remained on the canvas looking up at the lights as he brought his hands to his eyes and let out a deep sigh. "At least it's over with" He thought.
Later in the locker room….
Takeo was in his locker wearing his old purple hoodie. That was when he heard someone behind him. Turning back he saw it was Bob Ortiz. He was dressed in an Armani suit holding a duffle bag.
" Hey champ. Where's your belt?" Takeo asked casually.
He held up the duffel bag signifying that it was in there.
" Not gonna shoulder it?"
Bob nodded no.
" Hmm…" Takeo went back to his locker.
" 6 years ago." Bob said.
Takeo looked back at him.
" 6 years ago I won this title….when they put it in my hands I won't lie. I cried my eyes out."
Takeo listened in.
" I felt like I had the world in my hands. It was the culmination of all my blood sweat and tears. I'm holding it now today and I'll be honest…it feels wrong."
Takeo shrugged. " You won it fair and square."
" With everything you went through….I knew you weren't gonna be the same wrestler I fought the first time. I know your heart wasn't in that match. I know deep down in my bones, you're the future of this sport. The guy I fought the first time would have demolished the guy I fought tonight. I can't even imagine what you're going through right now."
Takeo shrugged.
" Whenever…..WHENEVER you feel you're ready to come take this back… I'll be waiting…."
Takeo gave a faintest smile as he picked up his gym bag. " Frankly champ, all I want to do right now is get home to my wife."
He nodded.
Takeo made his way past.
" Sonata…" Bob said. He then extended his hand. " Good luck to you, and thank you for granting me the rematch."
Takeo reached out and shook his hand.
The next day…
Takeo opened the door to the apartment. Dropping his bag onto the couch he then took off his jacket and hung it up.
" Takeo, welcome back!" Sakura's mother came to greet him with a hug.
Takeo vaguely smiled as he reciprocated. " Did umm…you guys watch the match?"
Sakura's father nodded. " We did, in spite of everything you put on a good match."
Takeo bowed to the compliment. " I appreciate it. Thank you guys so much. I don't know what we'd do without you."
" Nonsense, its us who should be thanking you." Sakura's mother said. " You…you've always put our daughter before yourself." She said beginning to cry. " I'm so sorry…I'm so selfish, here you are trying to stay strong and I'm breaking down like this."
Takeo placed his hands on her shoulders. " I…am so honored to be a part of this family."
Sakura's mother sniffed wiping her tears away. " Now go on, before I completely go to pieces in front of you. You go be with her and I'll get dinner started."
Takeo bowed his head as he made his way into their bedroom. He saw Sakura sitting up in the bed looking at him.
" Hi…."
"Hi…" Takeo said as he laid in bed beside his wife.
Sakura laid down beside him laying her hand on his chest. "I'm sorry…"
" It's just a dumb belt. The only reason I really liked having it was because really strong wrestlers would come challenging me.
" Hmm…" Sakura laid her head into his shoulder. " You'll get it back…I know you will."
" It's not important. Being with you here…that's what's important."
" I love you…." Sakura said.
" I love you more…" Takeo said, bringing a tiny curl of a smile onto Sakura's face.
"I'm happy to see you smile." Takeo said.
"….I was just thinking today….would Ari have had my smile? Or your laugh? Who do you think she would have taken after?"
Takeo ran his hand down Sakura's cheek. " I bet she would have been amazing…like you…because your love would have made her amazing." He said. " I know….I could tell when I would see you spending time with her while on the couch or in bed. I would always see you with the blissful smile on your face, and I know for a fact Ari felt it…I know she could feel that you couldn't wait for her to be born so you could shower her with so much love…."
Sakura wrapped her arms around Takeo. " Just like you would have I know. You would make a wonderful father."
Later…..
After coming out of the shower Takeo walked into the front room as Sakura's mother was preparing dinner in the kitchen.
" Is there anything I can help with ?" Takeo asked.
" Oh no worries, I'm just about finished."
Meanwhile Sakura's father was listening to a talk show on the tv which he just happened to switch to at this exact moment.
" And your feelings about Sakura Sonata's losing her baby?" A host asked.
" Miscarriages of course are devastating to parents. But at the same time, the way she and her husband led their lives could have been a contributing factor."
Overhearing this Takeo immediately went to see the tv.
" Well from what I hear they were doing everything right when it came to taking care of herself through the pregnancy. But miscarriages can happen even when you do everything right."
" I'm not referring to that. I'm referring to how they lived their lives prior to the pregnancy. From what I understand, wrestlers live a sinful lifestyle, and that's to say nothing of her time as a pop idol dancing promiscuously around on stage. My grandmother used to say, that demons can affect the quality of birth of a child. Even cause miscarriages."
" Demons?"
" Not literal demons mind you, I believe it's as a metaphor, it could mean negative karma in which you've brought from your past. In their cases I'd say they've had a dark cloud following them which affected her pregnancy."
At this point Sakura's father was livid. " How dare he! Takeo don't you listen to a word this piece of crap is saying! Who does he think he is!?"
In honesty, Takeo was just as angry as Sakura's father about the comments made. However it was at that point Takeo sat on the couch looking down at the floor.
" Takeo…" her father said. " You and my daughter are the 2 best people I know. This zealot is despicable. He's only bringing up your names to gain popularity for his own media."
Takeo got up and walked into the bathroom. Sitting down he stared at the floor ringing his hands. As angry as he was, he couldn't help but wonder if there might be some truth to what the man said.
Walking back into his room he saw that Sakura was finally sleeping. Over the past few weeks it had been hard for her to sleep or eat. He sat beside her on the bed and gently placed his hand on her head.
For nearly 10 years he said he'd never go back. But if what the man on tv said was true, even somewhat then he owed it to his wife and more importantly their child they lost.
