So this chapter is mostly about Jonathan's eperience in the Mind Trap which will be Enna's experience of just before her operation, not much else to say but when the scientists refer to her species it means she's specifically a North American River Otter and not the Eurasian River Otter which has the scientific name 'Lutra lutra' while that name is prettier to say, specifying Enna is specifically the North American Species is because it implies her Mother was a local wild animal caught by the scientists for experimentation
After hearing Enna's screeching, Jonathan was briefly plunged into pitch blackness, and then the next thing he say was a drab gray celing, and he felt underneath himself a hard matress and a cheap pillow, he knew he was in a mind trap, this was way to lucid to be one of his fear gas hallucenations which over the course of the multiple times he had been subjexted to his own fear toxin the nightmares he experienced had become more delirious each time.
But another thing had caught his attention...He could clearly feel he was naked...Why was he naked? Then a chill went down his spine when he realized Enna probobly didn't wear clothes when she was a Lab Animal...That he was experiencing an episode from her own life! Particurally when he looked to the side and saw some very simple furtinture with some glass walls beyond that...But this wasn't Arkham, the furtinture were children sized...And there were some toys and other things in the room clearly meant for children!
Then he heard a voice, a young girl's voice but it wasn't Enna's it sounded like a slightly older girl like between ten and twelve years old. "Hey! Enna! Are you awake?"
"Who's there?" Jonathan asked instinctivly as he leaped off the bed with a little more energy than normal, and upon speaking he instantly heard the difference in in voice and covered his mouth in shock! His voice sounded like a little boy's! And then he looked at his bare body and gasped in horror! His scrawny underdeveloped body was that of his eght year old self! This was far worse than any fear gas hallucentation! Somehow Enna was able to have him experience this terrible memory in the body of his child self!
He barely noticed the other girl's voice was still talking to him until he heard the words "...I think your time has come..."
He turned around and saw through the glass wall the neighboring cell was inhabited by a pink mutant piglet! And right away he noticed the deep ugly stitches running down her arms and legs and then he noticed a weary and sorrowful look in her eyes.
"I think the scientsits are coming..." The Piglet Girl said quietly
And that's when the door opened, Jonathan saw two scientists, a man and woman, both seemed to be wearing these strage looking silver helmets on their heads, and Jonathan realized that must be some form of protection against psioniscs...
"Subject Enna," Said the Man "Species: Lontra canadensis, Time to proceed to Step 2..."
And realizing what was coming, despite the fact he knew it wasn't real, but filled to a child's fear...Jonathan backed to the farthest corner of the room
"No!" He screamed "Don't please!" But it was all for nought as the two scientists grabbed him, being as small and weak as a child, Jonathan felt how much stronger they were as they overpowered him, strapped him to a gurney and began wheeling him down a hall.
"It's not real!" Jonathan kept repeating himself in a desperate attempt to calm his racing heart "None of this is real!"
One surguen wearing a concealing mask placed the gas mask over his mouth and nose, and this was where the mind trap ended, and Jonathan's eyes snapped open...And he saw the familiar red room that was his santuary's living room, and then...He felt something cold and wet touch his forehead, he sat up with fright...
And there he saw Enna she was holding the cold washcloth in her hand and he saw he was on his sofa...
