South Wing Corridor / Gym Entryway
Sally would walk out of the bathroom, finishing up her seventh round of washing her hands after Mr. Gribble essentially had her and Schroeder help remove rotting organs from the little dead animals he brought. The reason was because he wanted to decorate the classroom, and why not decorate it with the skills from his second job as a taxidermist.
Schroeder was too busy throwing up into a trash can to notice or see her leave the restroom, but Sally would go over to check up on him.
"You okay, Schro?" Sally asked, concerned for him.
"Sally, we NEED to get out of that class! " Schroeder said, now pulling his head out and wiping his mouth with some napkins he had stashed in his pocket earlier.
"We will, we just have to wait for that dumb grace period to pass until they could let us start switching things around. At least we get homework immunity for the day."
"I guess..." He said dryly.
Sally would turn to see Linus and Charlie Brown running down the halls, trying to make it through the ongoing crowd of fellow students and find Franklin. She would immediately smile, waving her hands to get the attention of the two, especially Linus.
"Big Brother! Sweet Babboo! Over here!"
Charlie saw her, waving at the other before continuing his shuffle through the crowd.
Linus visibly grimaced when he saw her, choosing to start rushing through the crowd even faster than originally, trying to avoid her as if she was the plague. It didn't fall too far off of the tree in his eyes though.
"Never, still taken!!"
They both disappeared into the crowd shortly after, upsetting Sally quite a bit.
"I wonder why they are in such a rush, we got seven more minutes until third period starts up." Schroeder would scratch his head in confusion, then turning to look towards Sally who was grinding her teeth.
"Sally?" Schroeder asked softly.
"I don't understand those two." She started. "Linus should literally be over here with me right now holding my hand instead of getting frisky with that damn hussy! It also doesn't help that Bro has grown a spine over the years, now getting involved and poking his head in my encounters with him." Sally ranted.
"Well, if that's who Linus wants to be with, i think you should just let him go. That's a obvious sign that he doesn't see you in that way, right?
She shook her head. "No, it's obvious that he needs help. She has him under her spell, or maybe is even blackmailing him into liking her. Considering she hangs out with Violet ass, that has to be the reason.."
Schroeder facepalmed, realizing how truly delusional she is. "Under her spell? Magic isn't real, Sally. You got to move on."
Sally calmly spoke once more. "If magic isn't real, then how can you explain this."
She would move her hand behind Schroeder's ear, pretending to pull a quarter out, only to reveal that it was just her giving him the middle finger. She would then walk off.
"Very grown up of you to flick me off!" Schroeder yelled as she walked off, starting to head towards the locker room to change into his P.E clothes.
"I'm going to show that bitch who the better suitor is for Linus, and that's obviously me." She muttered, heading towards where the cooking class was being held at.
Administration Building
Peppermint Patty was walking towards her next class, which was home economics. she thought that it would be a quicker way to get to home economics if she went through the administration building, unfortunately for her, Violet was standing there taking to Patty (Swanson).
She would slowly make steps backwards. "Maybe if she doesn't see me, i can escape her bull-"
Violet would turn her head to look at her, sinister smile creeping up on her face as she walked over to her.
"Hold on Patty, i got unfinished business."
"...shit." Patty (Peppermint) muttered, defeated.
"Look who it is, failure-face's girlfriend. I'm still baffled at the fact that he was somehow able to pull someone. But to be fair, low standards were the only choice." Violet Sneered.
Peppermint Patty wanted to just slug her for even seeing her face, but didn't want to risk getting suspended. "The voice in my head that tells me to knock her head off of her shoulders keeps getting louder with every syllable she says." Peppermint Patty thought. She kept a calm demeanor, shooting back an insult before she could go on a tirade to berate her and her man.
"Says the woman that can't keep one to save her own life. You have no place to speak."
"Prude!" Violet angrily spat at her.
"Skank!"
"Your mother is a crack smoking wino!" Violet retored.
"You were a unplanned and unwanted child!" Peppermint Patty hissed.
Violet raised her fist to hit her, but was swiftly stopped by two of the teachers that were in the office, getting in the way of what would've been their second brawl, if you count Violet getting knocked out in the first fight a fight. They both were separated by being put in different rooms, with Violet sitting in the staff printer room, and Peppermint Patty sitting outside of the principal's office, waiting for him to return back.
They said she wasn't in trouble, and wanted the situation to be resolved with the right authorities, but she knew that somehow this wouldn't end very well. If not for her, for both of them.
"Dad's going to freakin' kill me..." Peppermint Patty muttered under her breath, putting her face in her palms. She would sit there and think about why she lets Violet get under her skin so easily. She's done this for years, and it's like this just became a new concept to Peppermint Patty.
"Hey, Trish." Patty (Swanson) walked up to her, and sat down next to her. "I saw everything, and i would like to apologize on behalf of Violet and her big mouth." She said, giving Peppermint Patty a small, but firm pat on the back.
"Thanks Patty, but i want to hear it come out of her mouth. She wants to start a war with me, she is fully capable of ending it with me." Peppermint Patty said flatly, not really in the mood for any conversation. "I appreciate you not being as bad as her, though."
Patty (Swanson) would nod, understanding what she meant when it came up to an apology from Violet. She would continue to push further with a conversation after Peppermint Patty's last statement.
"What do you mean by ' not being as bad as her ' ? You've seen firsthand that i've been changing over time."
"Food for thought, Patty..." Peppermint Patty started. "I admit, you have been making strides to not be as bad as Violet. Hell, you've always been the most tame one from all the time i've known you. But one thing i notice about you, is that you haven't stopped your trait to follow Violet in most things she instigates. Sure, you didn't jump into both spats I had with Violet today, but you still follow her in making fun of other people outside of my social circle. I don't know if it's because Linus is friends with all of us, and especially Charlie Brown or something, but you have a big hurdle to get over." She finished going on her small rant.
"I hope you have a good day, Patty. Don't take my words wrong. I don't mean to come off as an asshole, UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE!!!" Peppermint Patty screamed towards the printer room, earning her a "MS REICHARDT!" from the principal who just arrived."
"Oh! Principal Melendez, what a surprise...i like your hair?"
He wouldn't say anything, the tall and lanky man would just motion for her to join him in his office, leaving Patty to stand there and think about her opinion of her.
Gym / Auditorium
It was now the start of the third period, Charlie Brown and Linus were unsuccessful in their search for their friend. Their video was reaching around the school at a pretty rapid rate, at least third period would slow down phone activity, so not everyone would have been able to see it yet. But the looming thought of being the laughing stocks of the school irked their minds.
Linus and Charlie Brown were in the gym walking around the court. "What are we going to do, Charlie? If everyone sees it, we'll never hear the end of it. Especially from-" Charlie Brown would cut him off.
"Don't say her name, i don't want to think about how worse her bullying can become." He said, feeling like throwing himself out a window from the mere thought of all the new material she could come up with.
Schroeder would walk up and join his two good friends.
"Hey, guys!" Greeted a enthusiastic schroeder. "What are you guys talking about?"
"Well..." Linus began. "Remember when we asked you for advice on our and Franklin's music project back in freshman year?" Schroeder racked his brain for a second, before it hit him. "I can now recall, why?"
"Our video got leaked onto the school youtube page when we told Mr Fouts that we preferred that it was privately graded." Charlie Brown chimed in, frown on his face.
"Why would you guys be ashamed of it?" Schroeder looked puzzled. "I may not be a fan of rap, but it's definitely better than the stuff that's on the radio right now. I didn't even know that you guys were that skilled in music, other than the fact that Charlie Brown can sing and play the guitar."
Linus facepalmed. "We just suspect that everyone would make fun of us. Especially Violet."
Charlie Brown's frown slightly faltered by Schroeder's compliment, but was still evident. He stayed silent.
"Don't let that woman, or any of your detractors actually, stop you guys from showing a different and more creative side of you. Plus, the video is already out there. You can't do anything about it now. Once something is on the internet, it stays there." Schroeder added, trying to lift the spirits of his two friends.
Linus would think, and so would Charlie Brown. They did something harmless, and everyone else did participate in the same class. So other than the fact of potential embarrassment, why did they bury the past?
They would both nod, giving a smile to Schroeder.
"Your right, Schroeder. It's not like we committed the crime of the century. It's probably just another lesson coming from the lord. He does work in mysterious ways after all." Linus opined.
"And I'm sure that if anyone says anything, we can handle it. We are three teens that are knocking on the door of adulthood, right?" Charlie Brown added on.
"Now that's the spirit guys! Now let's go pump the dumbbells that Coach Williams put out for us."
"Since when do you pump iron, dude?" Charlie Brown said, looking at him quizzically.
"Since when do you like rap?" Schroeder sarcastically retorted. Charlie would just put his head down in defeat.
"Touche."
Cafeteria / North Wing Corridor
The three would enjoy the rest of gym class, with their worries being diluted to nothing but paranoia and worry of others opinions. They got through fourth period as well in their respective classes, and met up again at lunch with both Patty's, Lucy, Linus, and Franklin.
"What's wrong with you, Trish? You're usually the one who keeps the conversation going." Franklin asked.
"Nothing much, Frank. I got into it with that bitch, Violet again." Franklin and Charlie would both give an audible "Good Grief."
"Did you knock her out in three punches?" Lucy asked with a smirk, trying to lighten the mood a little. She earned a chuckle from the group.
"Good one, but no." Peppermint Patty stated, leaning her head on Charlie Brown's shoulder. "Patty, why don't you tell the story since you saw it from an outside perspective.
"Well..." Patty (Swanson) began. "Trish was passing through for starters, and Violet decided to pause our conversation to walk up to her. I don't know everything they said, but Violet took a pot shot about Trish's mom and she fired back with the same energy. The teachers were able to separate them and they both had to meet with the principal." Patty explained from her point of view.
"She just can't keep her mouth shut." Franklin said putting his face in his palms.
"She doesn't know how to leave things be. She can be as stubborn as Sally." Schroeder said.
"I luckily got off with a warning, but the principal said that he was going to call my father on the matter. I'm not off the hook yet..." Peppermint Patty stated, anger boiling. Charlie Brown felt that, so he just used his free hand to intertwine their fingers, causing her to instantly calm back down.
"Well, let's worry about that later. You're with the people that won't treat you like trash." Linus reminded her.
"Room for another friend, Sir." Marcie said, making her first appearance to the gang at school today. She had kept the same hairstyle over the years, but got rid of those glasses back in middle school, in place of contacts. She wore a orange crop-top with blue jeans and white sneakers.
"Marcie! Where have you've been, girl?!" Peppermint Patty jumped up to immediately give her a tight hug, constricting her from breathing for a second. "Too, tight, sir." Marcie said. She would let go of her quickly after.
"Sorry, got too carried away.". They would both sit down together, with Peppermint Patty now having her best friend and boyfriend sitting on both of her sides. Her mood definitely shifted for the better now.
"What were you guys talking about?" Marcie asked, trying to get up to speed.
"I got into some shit with Violet, i'll tell you later."
Schroeder almost forgot to tell the group about Sally.
"I forgot to tell you guys, Sally seems to be a little bit more delusional than usual. No offense to you or your sister, Charlie. She keeps taking about planning to break up Linus and Patty once and for all."
The group would all yell out a "WHAT!" that garnered the entire cafeteria to stare at them.
"No wonder why Sally has been acting off recently. She's hung up on you two being a couple." Charlie Brown stated, now rubbing his temples.
" She can certainly try, but we ain't leaving each other. I especially ain't getting with someone as delusional as her. Of course no offense, Char."
"Nice save..." Lucy sarcastically muttered under her breath.
"None taken. I can see EXACTLY why you think that."
"I'm with my Linus on this one. If she tries, she'll have to deal with the really mean side of me!" Patty (Swanson) raises her fist and shakes it.
"We already see that side of you though, Patty." Lucy retorts
"Lucy Van Pelt, Everyone." Peppermint Patty said ironically.
"I'll be here all night," Lucy sticks her tongue out, earning a chuckle from Marcie and Charlie Brown. "Nyeeeeh!"
"Alright, Alright, Fussbudget!" Peppermint Patty says, preparing to go to the next subject. "Now, as the leader of our little gang, i declare that we talk about why Frank, Chuck, and Linny over here didn't tell us that they were musical prodigies like Schroeder over here."
"Hey now, let's not get TOO cocky here." Schroeder says ironically doing the same thing.
"I already know that Charlie is a pretty good singer and guitarist, but not a rapper, you sly dog!" Patty tickles his chin, to his embarrassment.
"I knew he could sing, but i didn't know that he was the next Eminem. What's next, you can conduct an orchestra!" Lucy joined in on the teasing.
"Franklin came up with the idea once we started working on the project. " Linus stated. "We both went into it not being familiar with the music outside of a couple popular artists."
Franklin chimed in. "I taught them both myself. They are surprisingly quick learners."
Charlie Brown hopped into the conversation. "Snoopy knew how to direct videos. It was the last activity he did before the symptoms set it." He said solemnly, earning a pat on the shoulder from Franklin.
"We personally thought we embarrassed ourselves..." Linus said. We told the music teacher to make sure it was private, especially because after Snoopy passed, we didn't want to open up the wound for Charlie."
"That's pretty respectable of you two." Marcie stated. "But it was a pretty good video. Linus's instrumental is good, Charles and Franklin rapped very naturally, and it was catchy. I personally think the phrase, "Can I Kick It" will be the popular phrase this year."
"What're you? Fantano?" Lucy once again chimed in with her sarcasm. Schroeder tried to hold in his laugh.
"No, but i know talent when i see it, Lucille." Marcie retorts.
"You were pretty good, but not as good as the future Juliard prodigy." Schroeder said with a smirk that touched both of his ears.
Linus, Charlie, and Franklin all smiled, happy at the encouragement they all are receiving from their circle. Maybe one day they'll revisit and take music seriously. Even have schroeder run for his money.
They all would laugh, finishing up their lunch and ready to finish the day. all of their anticipation for their meetup later was high.
Authors Note: I'm going to be honest, this is probably the worse chapter i have written so far this episode, and the bar is low as hell itself.
I was originally planning on having Charlie Brown, Franklin, and Linus develop an old school type of rap group/band/collective together just because i thought of it as a cool idea that i came up with when i was listening to some music while reading some of the many great fanfictions on this site. Unfortunately i sorta have to scrap it due to the policy of fanfiction and it's policy on lyrics/owned lyrics. I want to abide by the rules and make a decent story, so i will just go for a different angle for the respective characters. Maybe i'll revisit the idea later for the eventual talent show episode.
Sorry for the abrupt and weird ending to that plot. I had to end it like this or i would have had to completely rewrite the episode from chapter one. Hopefully this won't happen again as i go on. The next chapter will be long, and better than whatever i crapped out today..
See y'all next chapter. :)
