24 Drakonis, 9:42 Dragon, Skyhold
Solona catches Morrigan's eye, before going into the room with her Eluvian in it. The witch feels the magic of the mirror activate, surprising her. Morrigan flags a servant to find Ellana, before going to stand by the object, waiting.
"What's going on?" Ellana inquires.
"Solona activated the Eluvian, somehow. I don't know what she's doing, but I thought it best to get you. We need to go after her." Morrigan explains.
Ellana nods, the two women enter the portal.
/
"This is the Fade." Ellana observes, "How did she do this?" she asks.
"I don't know. It shouldn't be possible. I power required would be immense" Morrigan replies.
The two women hear voices ahead. Moving closer, they see a group of people standing in front of another active Eluvian. The group is positioned in a u-shape. One of the five is Solona, who is standing behind a young boy of maybe ten years. An old woman, dressed in black, stands across from them. Two others, a man and a woman are facing Ellana and Morrigan.
"Mother!? Alistair!? Elissa!? What is going on!?" Morrigan questions, confounded.
"The look on your face. This was worth it." Alistair remarks, smirking.
"What are you doing?" Ellana queries, concerned.
"Helping my friends." Solona returns with a smile, "Shall we?" she directs to the old woman.
The old woman waves her hand, a bluish light leaves the boy, traveling into the person Morrigan called her mother.
Morrigan gasps, starts to call out, but seeing that the boy is unharmed, she is confused again.
"No more nightmares?" the boy asks the woman in black.
"No more nightmares, dear." the old woman tells him.
"Thank you." Elissa says sincerely.
"You're welcome. He's a good lad. You've done a marvelous job." the old woman returns.
"Let's get you home. I think a treat is in order. One cookie, or two?" Solona suggests, smiling softly.
"Definitely two." the boy agrees.
"Come see us soon. We miss you." Alistair tells Solona, before leading the boy back through the mirror.
Alistair, Elissa, and the boy depart, the mirror deactivates a minute later.
"I don't even know which question to ask first, there are so many." Morrigan states.
"Ellana Lavellan, this is, Asha'bellanar." Solona introduces.
"My clan has told me your tale. I...We were always told to heed you." Ellana gets out, astonished.
"Don't make her mad, she'll put you in a pot." Solona quips.
Asha'bellanar smirks, "Lovely Morrigan, no words of greeting for your long lost mother." she teases.
"Lost? You're suppose to be dead. I can only assume that you never killed her?" Morrigan accuses.
"I never said that I did. I just told you that your mother was gone. You interpreted that how you wished." Solona clarifies.
"Who was that boy? Did she give you the spell as well?" Morrigan inquires.
"Yes. And yes. She took the soul of the Old God from him. The price for my friends lives has finally been paid." Solona informs.
"And what now? Have you come for me next? Am I to be your new host?" Morrigan fires out venomously, raising her staff.
"Restrain her." Asha'bellanar orders.
Ellana puts her hand onto the staff, stopping the spell from forming.
"What are you doing? Let me go!" Morrigan demands.
"I...can't." Ellana replies, distressed.
"Of course she can't. She drank from the Well." Asha'bellanar implies.
"Then...but then that means..." Morrigan starts, putting the pieces together.
"What is happening to me?" Ellana asks, confused by her own actions
"She is Mythal. But I don't understand, how can you be Mythal?" Morrigan questions mournfully.
"Once, I was but a woman, crying out in the lonely darkness for justice. And she came to me. A whisper of an Ancient being, and she granted me all I wanted and more. I have carried Mythal through the Ages ever since, seeking the justice denied to her." Flemeth explains.
"Then Mythal is inside of you?" Ellana queries in awe.
"She is apart of me, no more separate than your heart from your chest" Flemeth informs them.
"This could just be another elaborate story." Morrigan tries to deny.
"What do the voices say?" Flemeth queries to the Inquisitor.
"They say...you speak the truth." Ellana replies.
"But what was Mythal? A legend given name and called a god, or something more? Truth is not the end, but a beginning." Flemeth eludes mysteriously, walking closer to the two women.
"A Herald indeed. Shouting to the heavens. A harbinger of a new Age. As for me, I have had many names, you may call me Flemeth." she tells Ellana.
"Flemeth? That is an ancient Ferelden legend. It says that long ago you left your husband for a lover. Your husband then tricked you, killed your lover, and imprisoned you. Then one day a spirit came to offer you vengeance. Mythal." Ellana invokes the tale.
"One day someone will summarize the terrible events of your life so quickly. But yes, I was that woman."
"Flemeth has appeared among a few legends of history, helping heroes of old." Ellana adds.
"I'm not that old." Solona quips with a crooked smile.
"Yes, I nudge history here and there, when it's required. Sometimes a shove is needed.." Flemeth chuckles to herself.
"So you are both. Flemeth and Mythal?" Ellana reasons.
"She is also a witch, who possess the bodies of her daughters to prolong her life." Morrigan accuses.
"That's what you believe, is it?" Flemeth queries, grinning.
"I found your grimoire and I am no fool, old woman." Morrigan throws out confidently.
Flemeth and Solona both start laughing.
"My daughter left me long ago. I have let her be...this is a reunion." Flemeth gets out through her giggles
"Why have you not revealed yourself?" Ellana questions.
"And to whom would I reveal myself too?" Flemeth returns.
"To the elves. To everyone. We needed you!" Ellana cries out.
"They do not want the truth. And I am but a shadow, lingering in the sun. I knew the hearts of men even before I was Mythal. It's why she came to me." Flemeth informs them.
"Why did Mythal come to you?" Ellana asks, hurt, but understanding.
"For a reckoning that will shake the very heavens." Flemeth eludes.
"And you follow her whims? Do you even know what she truly is?" Morrigan inquires angrily.
"She knows Morrigan, but I posse the same question to you. You speak of things, you know not of." Solona interjects.
"What is your part in all this?" Ellana turns to Solona.
"I am but a cog in the wheel. No more or less important in the grand scheme of things." Solona answers cryptically.
"Speak plainly. For once. Please." Morrigan says, begging.
"She's my friend, Morrigan. And a good one. She asked me to bring you, but not to hurt or harm you. She just wanted to see you." Solona offers.
"And it takes a rare person, to risk all for a friend." Flemeth adds, smiling softly at Solona.
"I..." Morrigan doesn't finish, unsure what to say.
The voices say that you can help us." Ellana says.
"Against the magister that grasps beyond his reach? Yes, I can help you." Flemeth starts, "The dragon, is the key to his ability to jump bodies. He has put a part of himself inside it. Kill the dragon and the magister will no longer be able to jump. He can be slain." she finishes.
"Well, that not going to be easy." Ellana quips.
"It rarely ever is." Flemeth comments, "I can give either Morrigan or Solona the means to match the dragon. I will leave it up to you to choose." she continues.
Ellana looks between the two women. Solona moves her eyes to Morrigan, then back to Ellana. "Morrigan." the Inquisitor decides.
"And if I don't want this 'means'?" Morrigan half rejects.
"The voices say that you will want it." Ellana replies.
"Very well, but just that." Morrigan agrees.
Flemeth raises her hand, imparting the knowledge of a spell into Morrigan's mind. Once it is done, Morrigan grins wide.
"You were never in any danger from me. A spirit can not possess the unwilling." Flemeth informs Morrigan, before turning around and walking back towards the other Eluvian.
"What?" Morrigan whispers.
"Keep Solona safe. She is...very dear to me. She carries a great Hope for the future." Flemeth throws out as she activates the mirror, before stepping through.

Once the three women return to Skyhold, Solona deactivates the Eluvian.
"The power required to open the Eluvian, let alone into the Fade is immense. And to wield it so cautiously, you..." Morrigan starts, before the mirror activates again.
Solona motions them inside, before walking through, depositing the three into the crossroads.
"When you sent us to kill your mother during the Blight. I already knew that she meant no harm to you. I read the grimoire we found in the Tower. But there was a hidden cipher, written into the words. Between Alim and I, we cracked it within two days. We learned everything the book could teach us. Then, when we ventured to your mother's hut. She gave us the 'real grimoire', which again, we read. But before we left, she took me aside and gave me the spell that helped to create Duncan. I knew about the sacrifice of a Grey Warden, well before the others. But being me and knowing you, I waited. I performed the spell between Alistair and Elissa, the couple got a child, that they love very much, and the kingdom got an heir." Solona explains.
"Why bring us here to tell us this?" Ellana asks, concerned.
"Because here, no one else will hear us." Solona replies.
"And the power you seem to possess?" Morrigan inquires, fearful.
"You have nothing to fear from me." Solona begins, "I have walked in places that are, save for myself, still untouched for two thousand years. Places, that the elven ruins are still intact, their guardians still slumbering. I didn't enter as a trespasser, but as a petitioner, and so I was able to walk freely. Mythal's is not the first Temple I have had the blessing of seeing." she pauses, "Your Eluvian is not the rare find you think it is. I have been able to locate and recover a few, they are now under my protection. As for my power. My magic comes from the oldest known source of it, Love. I am a child of Love. My life has been dedicated to spreading it and seeing it grow. When I heal, you can feel my love for the world in the effects, my love for all living creatures. It's why I tend to lean towards peaceful solutions, before violent ones." she finishes.
"Are you like Cole?" Ellana questions.
"No. I was born in 9:13 Dragon, on the last day of Solace. My parents named me after it. My father said he saw a shining light when he saw me for the first time. " Solona informs them.
"People, places, they just keep giving you more. Even if you don't want it." Ellana realizes.
"Indeed. But I will not abandon anyone. Love doesn't leave. It's not selfish, or conditional. Love is as open as the sky. And so I unintentionally keep getting saddled with more." Solona elaborates.
"I...I never expected you to have such respect for the old magics. I misjudged you." Morrigan comments sorrowfully.
"I also would never take away anyone's choice from them. I had hoped that you would of stayed that night, but I also knew that you would leave. I never held it against you, it's in your nature. Just remember Morrigan, pride is a dangerous thing to control." Solona adds, smirking.
"I really hate you sometimes." Morrigan tells her, no anger behind it.
"No you don't, you love me." Solona says, hugging the witch from the side.
"You two are just like sisters." Ellana remarks, smiling.
"Well come here then, sister. We can have a group hug. We can talk about boys, braid each others hair." Solona quips, pulling Ellana into her other side.
"You are so odd." Morrigan throws out.
Solona leads them back through the mirror, deactivating it once they are on the other side.
"Speaking of boys. Did you and Cullen?" Ellana queries, eyebrow raised.
"Cullen? Isn't he the templar from the Tower? Did you two finally find each other again? I have to hear this." Morrigan questions.
The three women spend lunch together, talking. Cullen finds them late in the afternoon. Ellana and Morrigan smirk and raise an eyebrow as he kisses Solona tenderly. They laugh when Solona tells them to shut up.
