A/N: Welp, I'm a little bit better now. Still dizzy but I could manage. Next update of Otome Isekai would probably take a long time since I have an essay about COVID that I have to write.
This fic has no overarching plot so chapters would be posted with no proper chronology whatsoever!
Now for the reviews:
EndiduKingu: That would be a good Idea but I'm shelving it for now since I like EMIYA being a single parent.
Bucio: I really like seeing my loyal reviewer! Now about the suggestions… funny, half of it is in my notes in case no one submits a good idea. About the magic thing…. I have plans, sort of.
TheTinQuill: Well, that's embarrassing. Thank you for the correction though!
T110E4: Good name. But just gotta ask, are you hacking my brain in some way?
XDSnowy: I appreciate it lol.
Read the A/N at the end if you want some info
It was 8PM when Rin started writing another entry to her journal, she writes all sorts of things there all the time, some for food, some about friends. Today she was writing about good ol' Shirou Emiya and him being an ikemen.
One Rin Emiya loves her father very much. In her opinion he's the perfect parent, for example: He's caring as much as he is a disciplinarian, he's open-minded to new ideas and listens to her. But there's one problem however… it's that he looks like a freaking supermodel!
This could be seen as a positive but no, it is a trap, designed to give her frequent irritating inconveniences in her life, even made worse by her barely average looks. He looks like 27 despite being a 45-year old for god's sake!
Height that has no business being that high, he said he was pure Japanese. He was probably lying, his face structure say otherwise. And look at those muscles! Perfectly maintained despite being "busy" with his work at the restaurant, no chefs should have those! (It's her personal opinion). And where on earth did he get that perfect tan anyway!? He said that his hair and eyes were caused by a hereditary disease… she calls bullshit!
He caused multiple incidents with that look.
Incident I: She forgot her lunch.
Class was proceeding as usual at Kazakura High. The students at Rin's class has their faces pasted in the desk as they were told to write a short essay. Some were scratching their heads and some didn't even bother… like Rin's gyaru friend at the back.
But then: the monotony of paper-flipping and head-scratching were broken by a boy screaming on the hallways. "Someone's looking for Emiya Rin! He's really tall and really handsome!" It was Homura Denki, or as the campus call him: "The Hallway Crier" for his habit of spouting out news louder than the megaphones themselves.
"Eeeeehhh!!??" The class collectively shouted.
'What!? Emiya has a boyfriend!?'
'Whoa, she just rejected me last week!' The boys started gossiping.
'Wait wait wait! I gotta tell this to everyone at the GC!' The girls followed.
THUD!
Everyone turned their heads at the back as someone slammed their hand at the table. "Everyone shut the fuck up!" It was Rin's gyaru friend, her name is Hayase Muyumi, everyone calls her 'Mimi' for short. She dyed her hair blond and wears pink contact lenses. Her uniform is unbuttoned at the top showing her cleavage. She got on the bad side of the disciplinary committee multiple times for that one. Despite all that she's one of Rin's closest friends. "We don't know him yet, so don't jump into conclusions! And why would Emi-chan of all people have a boyfriend in the first place!?"
"Hey, I resent that!" Rin pouted.
"Class, settle down!" Their English teacher yelled. She turn her head to Denki. "What is this all about Homura-ku-!" Her jaw gaped as she saw the man standing behind the boy.
He was tanned and has white hair and steel-colored eyes. He is over 180 centimeters tall, his jawline perfectly shaped like an Italian sculpture. He wore a black polo with rolled-up sleeves complimented by his brown-colored pants.
The class started gossiping again.
Mimi bolted from her chair and whispered at Rin. "Hey, this may sound traitorous but is that your boyfriend?"
Rin recoiled! "Ew, no! That's my dad!"
Everyone looked at her like she has said something weird, Mimi even joined in. "What?" Rin asked.
"Oi, Rin! You forgot your lunch!" Her father called. Some girls swooned when they heard his voice.
"Coming." She sighed and stood up. The class still staring at her and Emiya, comparing them both.
Rin approaches her father and takes the bento, she glares at her father. "What the hell are you doing here?" Rin asks, angry.
"You… forgot your lunch obviously." Emiya answers.
"I could've just eaten at the cafeteria!" She spoke.
"Your cafeteria food sucks." He deadpanned at her.
"That's… not the point!" An angry vein pops up at her forehead. "You being here creates lots of problems for me!"
"Like what?"
Rin shakes in anger. 'This dense troglodyte!' She thought. "You know what? Just… Go back to your work. We'll talk later." She shoos him.
"Alright, alright…" He puts his hands up. "Sheesh" Emiya then turns back and walks away.
Rin sighs in relief and goes back to her chair. "What?" She asks the again, the class glaring bullets at her.
Mimi whispers at Rin. "Hey, your dad's really hot."
Rin sighs and cups her forehead. 'Good grief.' The thought as she shakes her head.
Incident II: Mandatory Beach Episode
It was late summer when they got to Okinawa. Emiya made sure that he activated the bounded field so no one could enter the house, it's a simple field that tricks the mind into thinking that the house is not worth entering, it's only activated on rare occasions, ofcourse. After sightseeing for two days they decided to go to the beach for relaxation.
Emiya was leaning in a beach chair with a parasol, he was reading a magazine. He wore nothing but an unbuttoned flower-printed Hawaiian shirt with tropical shorts, he didn't think much about this. It's just a short trip so they didn't need to prepare that much, right?
Rin was lying beside him in a mat, she was focused on her phone, chatting with her friends. She wore a light-blue Hawaiian shirt tied in a DIY crop top with a pair of black dolphin shorts layered in with a two-piece swimsuit, it was late summer season so in her opinion: choosing the appropriate attire is a must.
Rin felt her throat dry up. She stands up and calls her father. "Dad, I'm going to get some drinks."
"Bring me pineapple." He says as he reads the magazine.
Rin nods and walks to the nearest stand.
Moments later she comes back holding their drinks. She ordered coconut for herself sof course. She hums a song as she goes back to her place besides her father. But then, she was met by an unfortunately all too familiar sight.
"Hey~ Do you lift?" A woman asked Emiya. He was surrounded by five or more women as they ask him questions and ignoring his personal space. They were varied too, some of them were clearly westerners.
"A little…" He scratches his head.
The women wore a variety of swimsuits some were black, some were white- wait was that red one a lace?
"Ooh~ how old are you anyway?" One woman purred, it was a weird question.
"I'm actually 45, not that appealing right?" He chuckles.
All of them gasped. "Ah, you got us there. That's funny." They giggled awkwardly, the snakes.
'It does the opposite you dense bastard!' Rin says as she berates her father mentally, truly she could not fathom how her mother got this kind of person to begin with!
"N-no I actually have a daughter." He points at Rin.
'That's my cue!' She lifts her arms to show the drinks. "Dad, I'm back! I got pineapple like you asked." 'Please give me back my relaxing and totally normal summer…' She begs mentally.
The girls stared at her and left her father alone. "Tsk!" She heard from one of the women.
Emiya sighed in relief, after all these years he could still not handle women properly. "You saved me there." He smirks.
Rin deadpans him and passes the pineapple juice to him. "Sure I did, dad." 'Sure, I fucking DID!'
Back to the present
Journal Entry No.127 chapter 3, final chapter of the entry.
When does dad plan on getting remarried, anyway? I mean he's long overdue for a new wife. As previous chapters stated my father looks rather pleasing to the eye… the why the fuck does he not get married yet!? I mean women hit on him all the time, surely he would've found someone at this point.
Could it be..? That he could not move on from my mother that he doesn't plan on marrying again? Then again, he doesn't say anything or just gives me cryptic messages when I ask about mother. What? Am I a result of a one-night stand? Surely no, he doesn't mention anything but I was so sure that I was born of love… I have a gut feeling…
One more reason is that my mother… died at some point after my birth. Dad probably doesn't mention anything because he's still mourning. Maybe he doesn't even visit her grave because he can't bare to look at her.
But, whatever the reason might be… at the end of the day, he's still my father, I love him and He loves me all the same.
All I could say to end this entry is: "Emiya Shirou is too handsome for his own good!"
Signed,
-Emiya Rin.
A/N: Harem Protagonist EX. Bottom text. It's ruining lives, people.
Info about the terms used that I pasted from google!
Ikemen-
An ikemen is a good-looking man. Ikemen is a new word which appeared around the year 2000. It comes from Japanese ikeru, iketeru, "cool", "good", "exciting" and either men (メン), from English "men" or "men's" (menzu), or men (面) "face".
Gyaru-
Gyaru (ギャル?) is a Japanese transliteration of the English word 'gal'. The name originated from a 1970s brand of jeans called "gurls", with the advertising slogan: "I can't live without men", and was applied to fashion- and peer-conscious girls in their teens and early twenties.
Okinawa-
Okinawa is a Japanese prefecture comprising more than 150 islands in the East China Sea between Taiwan and Japan's mainland. It's known for its tropical climate, broad beaches and coral reefs, as well as World War II sites.
And that's all! Please follow and favourite and give a feedback, I really appreciate it.
