Ch60 - A Night With Captain Hook Pt3
I sighed, before following him outside; I guess things, just got even more complicated...
I continued to stay behind Gold, as we walked through the dream realm; I could tell he was shaken, by what we just seen. I spoke.
"So, want to tell me about your mom? Why were we just in her house?"
We continued walking, as Gold answered my questions.
"It's a figment of my subconscious, it doesn't matter"
I sighed, as I spoke again.
"I think it does. I was an orphan too, I know how this goes. One moment you hate them, the next you miss them. I've been on that rollercoaster, I just need to know that; when I go to defeat her, that you're really on my side"
He turned, as he spoke.
"Are you serious? Do you really think, that was a fond memory; being back in that house? That woman never cared for me, never loved me; never did one thing, a mother should. She never even gave me a name, and when you defeat her; I won't shed a single tear. So please, don't assume; we share the same story, I just want to find my son"
Within seconds of Gold, saying he wanted to find his son; Gideon spoke.
"I think, you already have"
Gold walked toward him, before pulling him into a hug; Gideon pulled away, before speaking.
"Thank you...for fighting for me"
Gold's demeanour changed, as he spoke again.
"I would do, anything for you son"
I watched, as he wiped away Gideon's tears; he spoke.
"Now...tell me, where your heart is"
Gideon sighed, as he answered.
"I...I can't, I'm sorry; I don't know where it is, she has it well hidden"
Gold shook his head, as he spoke.
"Then, we're lost"
Gideon answered.
"No...there is something of use here, the one thing; she's afraid of, you learning her darkest secret"
Gold sounded perplexed, as he spoke again.
"And what is that?"
Gideon answered.
"The reason, she gave you up"
I took a step back, as I tried to keep my distance; Gideon stood with his back to me, as we both watched Gold walk towards the lake.
I gasped when I spotted the small bassinet, Gideon spoke.
"You've searched, everywhere; for a way to defeat her, but I think all of your answers are right here...inside you. You just have to be willing to face them"
I kept my eyes on Gold, as he stepped toward the bassinet; I couldn't even begin to imagine, what was going on in his head. I knew he was right about one thing, our stories are different; at least my parents named me.
He lifted it, he then looked at it; he spoke.
"So, what now? I'm just supposed to, stare at this blanket; and hope my memories appear?"
I spoke.
"Your mother, doesn't want you to know why; she gave you up, so that's exactly what we need to find out"
Gold sounded mildly irritated, as he spoke.
"But, this isn't working"
I spoke again.
"Gold, I get it; it's ok to be scared"
He answered.
"Miss Swan, you are treading; where few who have, dared tread survive"
I sighed, as I spoke again.
"We're past threats, I know you what you're going through; this is bigger, than anything you've ever faced. No curse, no monster; is ever going to be as terrifying, as finding out why you were abandoned"
He looked at me, as he spoke.
"You think, I'm afraid of the truth?"
I answered.
"Yeah. I think it means, being vulnerable; and you and I, are people who are really bad at being vulnerable. If you won't do it for you, then do it for your son; this is his story too"
Gideon spoke.
"You've come this far, father; just let the rest in"
Gold nodded, before closing his eyes; he sighed, as he spoke.
"Ok"
I watched, as he looked at the blanket; he concentrated on it and as he did, we were transported to some kind of fairy palace. We watched as The Black Fairy, held her infant son; I spoke.
"Where are we?"
Gideon spoke.
"The secret vault, of the Fairies; I heard tales of it, as a child"
Gold spoke.
"It looks like, your little trick worked; Miss Swan, that's my mother. And that's me"
Woah, so I guess she wasn't always the Black Fairy? I tilted my head, as I watched the scene unfold; and as I did, Gideon spoke.
"So your mother, wasn't always the Black Fairy"
We watched as she addressed the other person, in the room.
"Tiger-Lily, do you know where the wolfsbane is? It's the last ingredient"
Tiger-Lily? As in Princess Tiger-Lily? Does Killian know about this? I shook my head, as I tried to concentrate on what I was watching.
Tiger-Lily spoke.
"Do you have any idea, how dangerous that is? What kind of spell, is this anyway?"
She looked at the small table, as she spoke again.
"No. No this isn't a spell at all. This is a curse"
The Black Fairy spoke again.
"Call it what you want, it will protect my child; I found what I need" Tiger-Lily walked toward infant Gold, as the Black Fairy continued. "It'll be all over soon"
Tiger-Lily took out her wand, before blasting the Black Fairy; she spoke.
"I'm sorry, I can't let you cast this"
The Black Fairy spoke.
"You're his fairy godmother, why won't you let me save him?"
Tiger-Lily answered.
"Because the cost, is too high. You're trying to create something, that never should be. A terrible curse. A dark curse"
The Black Fairy spoke again.
"It will save my son. It will send the child, destined to destroy him; far away, to a land without magic"
Tiger-Lily spoke.
"Not just that child. It will banish, every child"
The Black Fairy spoke.
"It's the only way, to be sure. Please, I have to save him. Aren't fairies, supposed to protect children?"
Tiger-Lily spoke.
"I am, and so is your son. He's destined to die, so that other children may live. That is the fate, of the saviour"
Wait, did she just say...Gold was destined to be a saviour? I tried to wrap my head around that, as the Black Fairy continued.
"No. Saviour or not, I will not let my son die"
She then shoved her hand into Tiger-Lily's chest, before ripping her heart out. Tiger-Lily gasped, as the Black Fairy continued. "And if I have to kill his own fairy godmother, to protect him; then that's exactly, what I'll do"
She started to crush Tiger-Lily's heart, and as she did; The Black Fairy, started to...well she started to go dark, her outfit changed.
She was now dressed in black, Tiger-Lily looked at her; as she spoke.
"And now, you will know; the great evil, by the crescent it bears" The Black Fairy looked at her wrist, as Tiger-Lily continued. "Evil was not born, this winter; it was made"
The Black Fairy spoke.
"That's not possible"
Tiger-Lily spoke again.
"Fiona, it's you; you are the great evil, you and your son are destined to destroy each other"
After hearing that, we were pulled from the dream realm; we woke up, in Gold's shop. I heard the door open and then close, as Belle and Regina appeared.
Regina spoke.
"Now, that nap times over; it's time for battle"
She held out the wand, I stared at it; as I spoke.
"You found, the other half"
Regina answered.
"Indeed I did. Now let's go, de-wing that bat"
I stuttered, as I spoke.
"Actually...I don't think, I'm the saviour; that's supposed to fight the Black Fairy. Gold...this is on you"
Regina spoke.
"Wait. Gold is a saviour?"
Belle spoke, sounding confused as she did.
"Rumple, is this true?"
Gold spoke.
"Yes, it's true"
Belle laughed softly, as she crouched down; she spoke as she did.
"All these years, all these years; I've known, there was a good man, behind the beast. Now you know it too"
Gold spoke.
"I don't know, what I know" he stood up, reaching for the wand, as he did. He continued. "But I know, I must do this"
Gideon spoke.
"Let me help you, I can..."
Gold answered.
"No, I've put you in enough danger"
He waved his hand over the wand, and it glowed purple; before the color faded. Gold spoke again.
"I think it's best, that I face my mother alone"
We watched, as he left; I sighed, before looking at Regina. She nodded, before leaving; I turned to face Belle, I spoke.
"You gonna be ok?"
Belle nodded, before moving to stand beside Gideon. I smiled, as I left; I then walked across the street, before walking into Granny's.
I spotted my parents and Killian, I smiled; as I made my way towards them. We ordered hot cocoa, making light conversation as we waited. It was only set down, as Gold walked in; he placed a black object down in front of us.
The Black Fairy's heart, I spoke.
"Is that..."
Gold answered.
"Hers, yeah. The Black Fairy, has been banished for good"
I sighed, before looking at Killian; I leaned in, barely speaking above a whisper.
"You ready to make good, on that promise from this morning?"
He looked at me, before looking at my parents; he looked at me again, as he spoke.
"Aye love, ready when you are"
I smiled, before speaking.
"We're gonna head home, we'll see you guys tomorrow"
My mom smiled, as my dad quirked an eyebrow; before placing his arm around my mom, they wished us goodnight, before we left.
The second, we were outside; Killian spoke.
"Come to my ship, in twenty minutes"
I nodded, before speaking.
"Yes, Captain"
He smirked, before heading in the direction of the docks; I guess I better head home and find an outfit suitable for a princess...
