The grand blue is a vast place, it's 5 (or 6 or 7 depending on how you count them) oceans holding a vast variety of peoples and creatures, not to mention devil fruits. In any other world, the sudden appearance of super powered animals from another world would cause a huge stir, but not here. at least, not until they meet the right people, and those people make a stir themselves.

Mew get's pull through a dimensional portal one day, ending up on the same boat as Monkey D Luffy as he sets out on his adventure. The pair quickly bonding over their zest for life. The only result can be chaos. Skirts the border of crack.
