My take on what happened after Series2 Episode6 Crowley is dealing with the heartbreak Aziraphale has caused while trying to come up with a plan to bring him back Aziraphale it trying to focus on fixing Heaven not on the longing he feels to go back to earth with Crowley. Surely Aziraphale had to have known that was the worst thing he could possibly have said. Would have known it would make him feel like he was kneeling in front of the Almighty all over again like a naughty child.
