PRESENT DAY
Sofia went to the airline immediately. She looked around and people were crying, getting hysterical, and shouting at the personnel asking where their family member is. There are also media trying to cover a story for the missing aircraft. Sofia went to the front desk, trying to squeeze herself into a bunch of people asking the man in front where their family member is when she felt someone tugging on her shirt, trying to get in front of her. She shook her shoulder and glared at the woman, raising her eyebrow at her.
"Wait for your turn," Sofia said as she continued to catch the attention of the man when she heard a very fake hysterical crying behind her.
"Mommy! Oh god, my mom, please! I need to know where my mom is!" The woman behind her said as she continued her fake crying. Sofia just rolled her eyes and looked right ahead, still trying to get the attention of the man when the woman behind her got swamped by the media.
"Excuse me, miss, may I know who your mother is? Is her name on the list?" One of the reporters asked and the caramel-skinned woman nodded her head, crying with no tears in her eyes.
"Yes! Her name is Arizona Robbins and I am her daughter, please!" The woman said which made Sofia turn around, her face full of confusion with a bit of annoyance on her face. She turned around and looked at the woman in front of her.
"I am Arizona Robbins' daughter!" Sofia said and the cameras turned her way.
"Me!" The other woman said which made the cameras turn back to her.
"No, me!"
"Then, me too!" The woman said. A man walked over to them, trying to check what the commotion is about. The reporter told him that both of them are Arizona's daughters but the two girls are unaware that they are siblings. The man turned to them and asked who the real daughter is which Sofia answered immediately.
"I am. She married my mother, Carina Deluca Robbins. Thus, my name is Sofia Robbins. I can give you my birth certificate.." Sofia explained as he pulled out her wallet and showed her IDs. The woman in front of her then pulled out a picture, showing it to everyone.
"I have their picture!" The woman said as Sofia looked at the picture. The man took the picture and compared it to the woman's face.
"Wait, you look like the brunette." The man said then put the picture beside Sofia's face. "You look like the blonde. So that means, the brunette is your mom?" The man asked to which Sofia answered 'No' quickly like the speed of light.
"Okay.. Here's what we're gonna do. Give me your contact number and as soon as we hear any news—"
"What about me?" The woman asked as she tapped the man's shoulder.
"One contact person only per family. Here's your picture."
"But what if it's a life or death situation?!" The woman said and the man repeated himself that it's only one contact number per person only. She stomped her feet like a child and saw Sofia looking at her. Her facial expression changed as if she didn't do anything which annoyed Sofia so much so she speed walked towards the woman who is also walking so fast to get the hell away from Sofia.
"Who are you? Why are you looking for my mother? Are you my sister? Who is that in the picture?" Sofia shoots tons of questions at the woman which made her stop walking. She faced Sofia and offered her hand for Sofia to shake.
"My name is Thalia. Promise me first that you'll tell me once the airline contacts you."
"No."
"Then I won't tell what I know either," Thalia said as she started walking away. Sofia inhaled so deep she swore it almost made her lungs burn.
"Wait!" Sofia said and then pulled Thalia with her. She shoved the brunette inside her car and drove to the nearest restaurant since Sofia is feeling hungry. They finally reached a decent restaurant which Sofia ordered for the both of them. Once their food is served, they started eating but Sofia can't stop looking at Thalia which Thalia noticed.
"Relax, I am not your sister," Thalia said which made Sofia sigh in relief. She put food in her mouth before asking her dreaded question.
"Who's the woman in the picture?"
"That's nice! You're curious!"
"Please stop wasting my time, who is the woman in the picture?"
"That's Calliope Iphegenia Torres. Did you know that Arizona Robbins was the most notorious gangster back then? And Callie Torres was the only girl who was able to set her straight because she is Arizona's greatest love!"
Callie's eyes roamed around the campus with her headphone around her neck, books in her hand, and backpack slung over her shoulder. She was new to the university and was looking for her best friend, Addison. Coming to Italy to study college isn't her decision to make. Her father decided to move their whole family there from Miami because hospitals in Italy are the best and her father wants only the best for her.
"Callie! You actually followed me here, oh my god I can't believe you!" Addison screamed at the top of her lungs, running towards Callie who was standing in the middle of the hallway. Callie smiled widely as she saw her best friend.
"Addison!" Callie screamed too as she was about to run towards Addison but was stopped when she was hit by a group of people riding their skateboards with bandannas around their foreheads, making her turn and drop her books in the middle of the hallway as some more people passes her.
"Oh— what the fuck!" She said as she picked up her books and turned to the bunch of guys that were laughing and almost made her fall on her butt. She was about to give them a piece of their mind when Addison came up to her and stopped her.
"Hey... Hey."
"Are they fucking blind?!" Callie sneered. She turned around to walk towards the group again when everyone in the hallway started screaming. She turned around and saw a blonde woman, riding her skateboard. It is as if the time went in slow motion and all she can see was the woman in front of her, blue eyes, a bandanna worn around her forehead, and headphones around her neck. She saw the woman's lips move as if telling her to...
"Move!" The blonde yelled and hit Callie on the side as she continued to ride her skateboard. The blonde stopped and got off of her skateboard, laughing at Callie who was on the floor. She started walking away with the group of people who previously hit Callie too but then Callie had other plans. She stood up and threw her book, hitting the blonde on the back of her head.
"Gangster!" Callie yelled, breathing heavily while the blue-eyed woman look back, her face stoic as she started walking away.
