**Secret Base**

AFO-"Are you sure that's the kid, who killed your Nomu?" Shigaraki spoke through the cables and tubes that were attached to the breathing apparatus attached to his head, his body hanging few inches off the ground, balancing on his wire-tentacles whilst mechanical parts cover his missing legs, arm and eye.

Tomura-"Yes master, I still remember the feeling of dread that kid caused with a single attack. I-"

AFO-"Enough. his quirk is an excellent weapon against the Number 1, whilst giving amazing healing properties... Garaki, are the Anti-Endeavor Nomu ready?" Shigaraki stopped Tomura and turned to the loyal doctor, Kyudai Garaki, or as he was known to the public Daruma Ujiko.

Kyudai-"Out of the 5, only 2 are ready. Do you want to send them for a testrun against the kid? I can send one of the High-End... ah the Hood will be an excellent test-subject,"

AFO-"Good, have them ready... and don't kill him, I NEED his quirk"

Back at the Sports Festival, Izuku can be seen in his waiting room, shoveling energy bars into his mouth, he was getting ready for the final battle against his best friend.

The last few matches, he needed to regenerate plenty of times as well as moving that fast took a lot of energy.

He didn't want to put on a show and pass out, thus showing weakness infront of the possible hundreds of villains who were keeping their eyes on the festival... plus he was 100% sure that AFO was watching the tournament.

That was also one of the reasons he was acting like an a**hole, this openly. He wanted to replace Katsuki in the kidnapping, and take care of the League from the inside, but all of that would come later. now he needed to get as much energy in his body as possible.

Soon both contestants were lead to the stage, this time Izuku kept the normal look, he didn't want to waste energy for stupid things in this battle.

Since childhood, Izuku and Katsuki had sparred plenty of times, even using their quirks. but they had never gone all out.

Both knew that they could handle each other's attacks. Katsuki's body was enhanced to handle his own explosions, whilst Izuku had *super regeneration.

They were waiting and getting ready for this battle their whole life, both creating and improving powerful attacks to take down the other one.

Mic-"ARE YA'LL READY~?"

Mic yelled, even though he was using a microphone. Both contestants looked at eachother and grinned. with a simple nod as an answer Present Mic officially announced the start of the Final Round.

Katsuki started releasing small concentrated explosions from his palms and his body started to lift off of the ground, whilst Izuku's hands turned to flames and then small pieces started flying off, like flower petals. Time seemed to slowdown for the contestants, whilst the viewers were watching almost nothing but a blur.

Suddenly Katsuki started aiming his palms in opposing sides, making his body spin faster and faster. The petals surrounding Izuku started swaying and moving around, as if they were being moved by the wind.

The flaming Petals created a minefield all around Izuku and the stadium, whilst Katsuki rushed at highspeeds.

Katsuki/Izuku: 'Howitzer impact: Supersonic!/ Blossoming Lotus: Clam before the Storm!' Both yelled in their hearts the name of the attacks.

Katsuki's line of sight was covered with the Lotus petals, but he didn't slow down. He rushed at full speed into the floating petals and on contact they started exploding, like a floating minefield.

It looked like fireworks, the explosions were powerful and Katsuki would've been thrown around like a ragdoll, if not for his quick thinking. He used the Lotus Mines to speed up even more, almost reaching Mach 2.5.

The supersonic tornado of explosions kept getting faster and faster with each petal hit. And soon Katsuki reached Izuku's location. with a powerful slam. Katsuki released all the stored energy in one big explosion, causing a small mushroom cloud to appear.

But he knew deep down, that he failed... Izuku was no longer there. he knew that, Izuku had fooled him, but the realization came a little too late.

In the cover of the Lotus Petals, Izuku jumped high up in the air, as high as he could, whilst taking a few petals with him.

Right after the mushroom cloud appeared, Izuku knew that now was the time to attack. from the cloud of dust appeared a sweat covered Katsuki.

Both knew what was about to happen.

*Flashback*

6 year old Izuku and Katsuki were playing around with their quirks, when Izuku suddenly took a thinking position.

Katsuki wondered what got the nerd thinking this much and unleashed his biggest explosion right against Izuku's nose... granted at this age his biggest explosion was the size of a large sized firecracker.

Izuku was thrown out of his thoughts, he looked at Katsuki and grinned.

Izuku-"Kaa-chan, you know your quirk reminds me of a character from one of my favorite fairy tales. His name was Megumin (Izuku switched Megumin's gender so Katsuki wouldn't be offended by being compared to a girl [idk they are kids... kids do that], He was an Arch Wizard who spent his whole life researching the strongest magic."

Katsuki-"Whao! am I really that cool Izu-kun, that you'd compare me to an arch wizard?"

Izuku-"no nono, you still have a long way to go before you reach her- i mean his level. What I was saying is, He learned the strongest type of magic- Explosion Magic-"

Katsuki-"Woah!"

Izuku-"yeah, I know. cool right? you know what's cooler? He reached such a level with Explosion Magic that sh- he could blow up multiple cities with a single explosion, but he was always left without energy after a single spell. I Think, you should name your strongest attack after him to look cool!"

Katsuki-"YEAH! I'll be coolest! even cooler that Megumin! I'll be MeguMax!"

Katsuki looked up, with sweat covering every inch of his body. there he saw Izuku, with his arms missing and a cold glint in his eyes. the tiny Lotus Petals floating around him were moved to cover his back and positioned himself in a divekick pose. his head turned to fire and started blasting off blue and purple flames like a rocket thruster

Izuku/Katsuki-"Sozin's Comet!/Megumin style:MEGUMAX!" Katsuki ignited his whole sweat drenched body instead of just his palms, whilst Izuku was blasted from the sky, his figure looking like a flaming comet, ready to carve the planet in half.

The two flaming figures collided and an explosion was set off with the power of 3 Tsar Bombas, all contained in cement and wooden barrier, that Cementoss and Kamui Woods created in the last moment.

The barrier was about to collapse, when all the fire in the explosion was sucked in by something, but the shockwave was still uncontained and caused the barrier to break and collapse.

in the middle of what used to be the stage, was a huge crater with two figures kneeling, both releasing black smoke from their bodies. one was covered with black soot and char whilst the other had broken legs, missing arms and half of his face on fire.
