- Found something! – Valerie shouted.

Dani grabbed her plate of food and ran to sit in the couch while Valerie read aloud what she had found.

- "Pyrokinesis is the ability to create and control fire. In ghosts, this ability depends on the type of core that the entity possesses…" and continues like this until… - She made a brief pause while she continued reading. - Here. "The abilities derived from the use of the energy generated by the ghost's core (pyrokinesis and cryokinesis) are exclusive to entities whose power levels exceeds the average, this is because large amounts of power are required to transmute the state in which the energy manifests itself".

Dani slowed down the speed with which she chewed as she processed the information.

- So… Vlad angered a very powerful ghost?

- Without a doubt. And listen to this: "Usually, ghosts never reach their full potential for pyrokinesis and/or cryokinesis; however, these powers can manifest themselves in other ways with less intensity".

- Wait. Does that mean Klemper has the potential to be like… super powerful?

- Let's be thankful that he's stupid. - Valerie teased.

- Hmm. - She said taking another piece of omelet to her mouth. – The things you learn.

Valerie just smiled and pushed the laptop over to her.

- I need access to your ghost database. - Dani looked at her curiously. – I need to take a look at the ghost records to see if there are any that can use pyrokinesis or have some kind of manifestation of these powers.

Dani looked at the laptop screen and saw the dialog box requesting a password to open the protected folder. The keyboard cursor was blinking over the box where she had to enter the password. Danny had given her the folder as a parting gift when he left for college to make notes of changes in ghost powers or add new ghosts to the existing roster. She had used that tool with Valerie before, but this time it felt different. She now felt an odd need to ask Danny's permission to use it. She mentally shook off the feeling and put her plate on the table, to take the laptop and enter the password.

She returned the laptop to the brunette once the folder was opened. She took the plate and prepared to return to the kitchen.

- From the outset, I would say that you should not count Dora and her brother. – She said surrounding the chair.

- Why? – She asked curiously.

- As far as I know, they only spit fire when in their dragon form. – She explained. – And judging by the appearance of Vlad's laboratory….

- A colossal dragon is unlikely to be responsible. – The brunette concluded. - Understood.

- Keep me posted. – She said pouring herself some water.

- Look alive children! Daddy's home! – Tucker said with enthusiasm.

Danny and Sam watched him curiously, while the dark-haired man finished setting up his equipment on the desk. On the computer screen, a video call had started and 3 black boxes appeared on the screen, each with a wheel spinning while charging.

- Technerd! – A young man who appeared in one of the boxes responded enthusiastically.

Watching the couple behind Tucker on the screen, the freckled young man removed the gigantic jester hat he was wearing and turned off his screen. The trio struggled to contain their laughter as the other screens activated.

- Carl, why did you take off...? Oh. – Jerry exclaimed when he noticed Tucker's friends on the other side of the screen.

- Hi! – Darla greeted everyone.

- Hi guys. – Jerry said.

Carl activated his screen again and tried to appear calm, but the redness in his ears gave him away.

- Good morning. – He said making his voice deeper.

- What happened to you Carl? You're usually not this shy. - Darla teased.

- Yeah dude. - Jerry said. – Put on your renaissance fair costume. It looks better on you than on your bed.

While everyone laughed, Carl stepped back and threw the clothes that were resting on his mattress on the floor.

- Come on, guys. Behave. What would Tuck's friend think about us? – Carl replied.

- Oh, I think that boat sailed a long time ago… - Darla said.

- Alright Tucker. – Jerry spoke. – We're here. What are we good for?

- I'm sharing you a code... Done. – A "ping" echoed in the room and a pop-up window appeared on Tucker's screen. – I'm working on something and I could use your help.

- Oh! - Jerry said. – How the mighty have fallen.

- Ha ha. – Tucker laughed falsely. – I need your help to finish sooner, not because I can't do it alone.

- Wow! – Darla said. – That's not the way to ask for help.

- I'm sorry, I'm sorry… - Tucker raised his hands. – But I would really like your help. It is a matter of life or death.

- How serious. - Darla teased, but Tucker didn't smile. - Wait, are you serious?

- I'd like to say no, but...

Everyone on the screen took on a serious expression, except Carl. The young man was reading part of the code when his eyes fell on a line of code.

- "Ecto-skeleton…" – He whispered. - Dude, did you hack a government server again?

- What? – They all said.

Tucker turned to see Danny and Sam.

- It really is not what you think. - He whispered to them and turned around. – And we agreed not to mention that again! – He said to the screen.

- Hey man, if this is from the government, I don't want to know anything.

- Yeah. We're friends dude, but I don't want the FBI...

Danny walked over to the computer and pushed Tucker aside to speak.

- Guys. The code was written by my parents. They are inventors, not government agents.

- No offense, but why should we believe you? - Jerry spoke.

- I´m telling you the truth. Look: my parents designed an ectoskeleton that increases the physical capabilities of the user. However, the interface was not very good and had a fatal flaw.

- What kind of fatal flaw? - Carl asked.

- The ectoskeleton draws and consumes energy from the user. - Danny explained. – The prolonged use of the suit can be lethal.

- And that's why I need your help. – Tucker said pushing Danny away from the screen. – So, who's in?

Danny backed up so that the dark-haired man took his place and the 3 of them were waiting for what the others would say.

- I'm in. - Darla said.

- Screw it, me too. – Carl said.

All eyes went to the blond young man, who took off his glasses to rub his eyes. After a few seconds, he put them back on and looked at everyone on his screen.

- If we get caught, I won't hesitate to tell on you.

- Hell yeah! - Tucker exclaimed. – You won't regret it.

- Is too late for that… - Jerry joked.

- So? What do you need us to do? - Darla spoke.

- Debugging.

- Urgh!

- You gotta be kidding me!

- Fuck no...

- Come on guys. – Tucker tried to cheer them up. – We used to do this every week.

- Yeah. And we hated every second of it. – Jerry said.

- I know, I know… so let's just get over this fast, shall we?

- Just like old times. – Carl said.

- Just like old times. – Tucker said smiling.

Tucker plugged in his headphones and plunged into his computer world with his friends on the computer. Meanwhile, Sam and Danny had moved to the back of his room, not wanting to interfere with whatever they were doing.

- What about Ember? – Valerie asked.

Dani dried her hands and walked to the living room.

- Why her? – She raised her eyebrow.

- Well… - Valerie turned the laptop so that Dani could see the screen. – Look at her hair. Flames.

- Your right. Add her to the list.

Valerie wrote Ember's name on the fire ghost watch list. Until that moment their list was a bit short: Skulker, Ember and 5 unnamed monsters that were guardians in the ghost zone. She took the laptop in her hands and continued flipping through the data sheet.

- Pandora… I don't remember much about her.

- I haven't had the pleasure of meeting her. Or misfortune. – Dani commented.

- Then how she ended in your files?

- I… I may have lied when I said they were my files.

Valerie looked at her intently and Dani just smiled awkwardly. She returned her gaze to the laptop screen.

- They belong to your cousin. - She concluded.

It had been years since she knew about Danielle and she still didn't understand how it was possible for her, someone half human, to be familiar to a ghost. Hell, she still wasn't able to understand how Dani was half human and half ghost. But apparently it was a very sensitive topic for her and that's why she decided not to talk about it so often.

- Well… what I do remember is her little box. – She spoke again. – And believe me when I tell you that there were things in there that could do what we saw.

Valerie wrote down her name and heard Dani slap her hand against her forehead.

- How could I forget?!

She took the pen and notepad from the brunette's hands and wrote a name before handing her the items back to her.

- Fright Knight? – She read. – So obvious we overlooked him.

- I know.

Dani sat in an armchair, waiting for Valerie to continue mentioning ghosts, but the girl didn't speak. When she turned to look at her, she noticed that she was somewhat confused and was struggling with something on the computer.

- What's going on? – She asked.

- There's a hidden file… - She said as she continued to struggle with the computer. – Well, it's not hidden… just blocked.

Valerie held out the laptop to Dani, who took it and looked at the file in question. On the screen there was an image of a folder with the symbol of a safe in the center and at the bottom of the file there were 4 boxes.

- It seems that it requires a 4-digit password. – Valerie spoke.

- Or characters in general. Letters are also enabled. – Dani said erasing the letter that she had put.

"That removes 'Sam Fenton' as a password." She thought. It was the first time she'd come across this folder, and Danny hadn't given her the password to it.

- Well, unless you have the password, we are talking about a chance of 1 in 10,000. And that's if they were just numbers.

- I don't have it. - Danielle admitted. – But I can get it.

- How?

- Just give me a few minutes. – She said discreetly taking out her phone. – Meanwhile, keep searching other files.

- It's ready.

- Excellent news. – Alpha said.

- Tell then we're on our way there. – A said.

The operative nodded and left A's office. While they finished setting up all the decorations around the new portal prototype, they had decided to go to the office to discuss potential uses for operative T's synthetic ectoranium formula. Vaporized ectoranium grenades, weapons with ectoranium ammunition, ectoranium-coated gloves… the possibilities were endless. Standing up, the 3 of them adjusted their respective suits and left the office.

Jazz had had a quiet morning. She had woken up at 9, ate breakfast with her parents, and then had dedicated herself to making sure that no one turned on the portal. Her parents had returned to work in the emergency ops center while the supplies for the ectoskeleton arrived. It could be said that, so far, her morning was extremely successful.

Her phone vibrated and she saw a message from Dani. She read it and raised an eyebrow. "A blocked file within the already hidden and locked files?" She didn't remember any of it. Curious, she searched for the folder path on her own laptop. She entered "Sam Fenton" in the pop-up window and gained access to the ghost files they had compiled over the years. She started going through file after file looking for the one Dani had mentioned. She reached to the end of the folder and found nothing, until she started going backwards. She noticed that when she presses the backward button on the keyboard in Clockwork's file, the system would skip a file completely and land on Pandora's. She did the test again and the same thing happened. Using the cursor, she manually clicked on the file and the same thing as Dani appeared to her.

Jazz narrowed her eyes and right-clicked to get a bit of information from that file. Nothing useful showed up, other than the date of creation, the last modification, and the user who created it. Jazz moved closer to her screen when she realized something: the file had been created by Danny almost 7 years ago (like all the other ghosts); however, this was probably the only file that had not been modified since then. She was about to brush the matter off until she recognized the date: March 20, 2005. The day of the career aptitude test.

"Shit".

Operative T collected the research papers and the slide presentation of her discovery for the inauguration ceremony. The lab was neat and tidy, not to mention empty. Most of the staff were already in the portal room or on their way there, but she had returned for the information and the vials. On her desk rested the original sample extracted from the plants, while on the shelf in front of her were many vials of the synthetic compound.

She walked to the shelf and picked up 2 vials, but when she turned around, she noticed that the original vial was no longer on her desk. She started looking for it everywhere, even in her own suit in case she had taken it and didn't remember, but she didn't find it. She was about to dig deeper when her watch on her wrist began to beep. She decided to leave it for now and ran out toward the lab.

Alpha and A were in the box, looking down at all the operatives ready and in their respective positions.

- Security reports indicate that we are good to go. The facilities are sealed. – A commented.

- Good. What about operatives O and K?

- They…were deployed to the field to retrieve a "live" ectoplasmic sample and were ordered not to return until they have it.

- Which means…

- They are as far as possible from this place. – A said.

Alpha smiled and watched Operative T walk through the door.

- Then we can start now.

K and O looked at each other before returning their gaze to the screen.

- That was rude... - O commented.

O and K were inside their patrol vehicle. They were parked on the second floor of the parking lot at the Amity Park mall, in the farthest corner they could find. Thanks to the lazy human nature, their "hideout" was a long way from the mall entrance, granting them privacy while they watched the event.

K opened a bag of chips and handed them to his partner, who took some and returned his attention to the screen. Alpha's brief speech ended with a short wave of applause, which was interrupted by a shout from himself.

- Turn it on!

Immediately the operatives in the command centers began typing at their stations. When everything was in position, the scientist in charge looked towards the box, where A nodded, giving him the green light. With his thumb he pressed the power button and the noise of accumulating energy began to reverberate through the room. The interior of the metallic octagon began to glow green, until a strong discharge of energy generated a small explosion that formed a green wall contained by the metallic structure.

- The reaction is stable. – A scientist said while he reviewed the readings in his pannel. – Portal opening successful!

Everyone in the room burst into applause, including Alpha and A. Both of them got down from the box and walked until they were close to the portal, watching it with great care and fascination. While A congratulated the research team, Alpha summoned operative T. They both chatted for a bit and T handed him one of the vials that she kept in her pocket. Some took pictures of the moment until Alpha raised his fist and everyone in the room fell silent.

- Today is a great victory for us over the ghost scum that plagues our plane. But it is not only about the creation of the portal, but also about the manufacture of our most powerful weapon... - He opened his fist in the air to show the vial with red liquid inside.

- Can you zoom in? - O asked.

K selected the area on the screen with his finger and the image was enlarged, although it lost some quality.

- ... we managed to extract the compound known as "ectoranium". – Now they could hear T talking.

- Ectoranium? – K whispered.

- ... it will be possible to eradicate the ghost plague... What's going on?

An alarm began to sound in the lab, followed by an alternation between the green and red spotlights above the portal.

- Status. – Alpha demanded.

- The ectoplasm detector has a reading. – The scientist that was trying to figure out what was going on said.

- Obviously. We're right next to the portal. – A said. – Turn off the alarm.

- Right away, sir. – Someone responded.

- Either way, it would be the perfect opportunity to test the efficiency of our weapon. – T said.

- Then, let's see if that scum dares to cross. – Alpha stood two meters away from the portal with the vial in his hand.

The alarm stopped and the entire room was silent for a few seconds. O and K moved closer to the screen to see what was happening. The next thing that happened was a great white flash that limited all their visibility and then the transmission was cut off.

A new and perfected Dan roamed the center of the ghost zone. He would destroy every inanimate object he came across just to see how easy it was to do it. Fully recovered after the previous day's confrontation, it was time to return to his initial mission. He extended his hand forward and a portal to the human world opened. When he was about to cross it, he could feel a pulse of energy running through the entire ghost zone.

Puzzled, he looked around trying to locate the source. A few meters away from him, the ghost zone began to tear. A crack began to form in the middle of nowhere and began to glow, greener than that the atmosphere of the place. Smaller fissures leading from the first one began to form until, with a flash, a portal formed.

Dan closed his own portal to inspect the new one. He was miles away from the Fenton portal, which was probably shut down, and much further still from Vlad's destroyed portal. This was definitely new and someone else's. Especially since those two wouldn't dare set a foot inside the ghost zone given the recent events.

- Well… I guess I should welcome them. - He smiled while in his hand a sphere of white fire was formed. - What kind of host would I be if I didn't?

While Tucker was still immersed in talking with his friends, Sam and Danny had taken the opportunity to share more anecdotes and photos from their years at college. Danny had given her the bed and he had pulled up a chair and placed it next to the bed. At the moment, they were playing a thumb wrestling match, which was nothing more than an excuse to get closer to each other. When Danny beat her again, he let go of her hand for a moment and they both turned to see the dark-skinned man's back.

Tucker kept talking into the microphone on his headset and occasionally laughed at things he talked about with his friends.

- It's weird. – Sam said looking at Tucker. - Listening to him talk about things I don't understand and that others can.

- I suppose the same thing would happen if we were listening something about your area of expertise.

- We grew up. All of us. – She told Danny after a while in silence.

Danny smiled at her before looking down at the floor. Sam looked at him curiously, but before she could ask him what was wrong, Danny took her hand and looked at her again. There was something in her boyfriend's eyes that she didn't understand, but excited her.

- What if… - Danny's fingers trailed up her arm with soft caresses. - ... we get lost for a while?

- Get lost? - She said somewhat surprised by his suggestion. - Where?

- Don't know. It's still early and we could… I don't know, watch a movie or go to the greenhouse downtown. They have your favorite flowers…

- Right now?

Danny smiled as he watched her blood pooled on his girlfriend's cheeks and ears. She looked adorable.

- Well, we're not doing anything here anyways. – Danny looked at Tucker. – And I don't think he would mind if we leave.

- Are you seducing me, Mr. Fenton? – Sam joked, trying to hide her blush.

- Would it be wrong to say I am, miss Manson? – He replied, getting closer to her.

They both smiled before their lips met. Danny cupped Sam's face with both hands to continue kissing her for a while and she placed her hands on Danny's wrists. When their brief session ended, Danny moved away from her a little, but without letting go.

- Was that a yes? - He whispered.

Sam smiled, but Danny's phone started ringing before she could answer it.

- I think it was a maybe. – She teased him and moved away from him.

Danny smiled and took the phone out of his pocket. He sighed when he saw that it was Jazz calling and straightened in his chair. Sam watched him with a smile.

- Hey Ja…

- DANNY! WHERE ARE YOU?! – His sister's screams forced him to separate from the phone.

- Jazz, I can't…

- DANNY, YOU HAVE TO COME BACK! NOW!

Danny put the call on speaker so Sam could hear as well.

- Jazz, you're on speaker.

- WHERE ARE YOU?! I'LL PICK YOU UP!

- What are you talking about? – He said while exchanging glances with Sam, who was as confused as he was.

- I FOUND YOUR HIDDEN FOLDER! WE'RE ALL IN DANGER! – Through the phone, they heard a car door closing.

- Jazz… - Sam said.

- HE CAN OPEN PORTALS! – She screamed desperately. – I READ IT ON HIS HIDDEN FOLDER!

Sam turned to see Danny, and her boyfriend's terrified face confirmed what Jazz was saying.

- JUST TELL ME WHERE ARE YOU AND…!

The walls of Tucker's house shook and the glass vibrated, followed by the sound of a powerful detonation in the distance. Jazz panicked for a split second at the thought that the sound was coming from the other side of the line, until she felt her parents' truck shake and heard the same blast.

- What was that? - Tucker asked taking off his headphones and turning his chair.

He watched Danny and Sam standing looking out the window in his room. He stood up and walked towards them and could see the huge cloud of black smoke coming from a point on the outskirts of the city.

- It might not be him… - Sam said squeezing Danny's hand.

Danny swallowed the lump in his throat and picked up the phone.

- Jazz? Get back home and activate the ghost shield.

Without giving her a chance to respond, Danny hung up and tossed the phone onto Tucker's bed.

- Guys… what did I miss? – A worried Tucker said.

- Danny... - Sam begged.

He gave her his best fake smile.

- I gotta make sure.

Valerie and Dani were looking out their window at the column of smoke rising over the buildings.

- Is there any news of that? - Dani said.

- None. – Valerie replied probing for information on her phone. – But apparently, it happened on the outskirts of the city.

Valerie put her phone away and watched Dani bite her lower lip.

- Do you think it was a ghost?

- Vlad's lab also exploded. – The young woman replied.

- The difference is that this explosion was literally in the middle of nowhere. – Valerie reassured her. – It was probably an exposed old gas pipeline.

Dani heard Valerie's words and decided to believe her. At least for the moment. She sighed and tried to relax a bit. When she turned around, she saw that the brunette was picking up the things she was working on when they heard the explosion.

- You're leaving?

- Yeah. - She answered when she left everything in order. – When things like this happen, my father gets paranoid thinking that I was involved. In addition to the streets becoming chaos.

Dani just nodded and walked her to the door.

- Be careful.

- And you try to relax. - She smiled at her. – You'll see that it's nothing we should worry about.

- West.

- Just like in the broadcast.

K and O had gotten out of the vehicle when they heard the explosion and walked to the perimeter fence of the parking lot. They quickly rushed into the vehicle and drove out of there like crazy. Someone had attacked the Guys in White's base of operations when high-ranking officers were there. They needed to reach out and provide help to their companions, if they still had…

Something like that had to be deliberate, planned months in advance and surgically executed. Although they hadn't spoken a word since leaving the parking lot, they both knew that it was a ghost attack. And they had a good suspicion of the ghost responsible.

The pseudo hero of Amity Park. Danny Phantom.

- To every operative active… - K spoke through the vehicle' radio on the GiW secure line. – We have an Armageddon Protocol in Amity Park.

Danny, Tucker and Sam were flying as fast as the blue-eyed could in the direction of the column of smoke. Looking down, the girl noticed that traffic was at a standstill. She raised her gaze to the front and noticed Danny more serious than usual. Tucker was silent, although inwardly he was still trying to understand Danny's reasoning for wanting to go inspect the place.

The idea that the explosion had been in the middle of nowhere was disproved when they sighted a complex at ground zero of the accident. Danny landed carefully behind a helicopter that shielded them from the intense heat of the flames consuming the place.

- Stay here. Danny said. - I'll take care of the fire.

He left flying and Sam watched as he used his ice powers to extinguish the flames.

- This is bad. – Tucker said.

- What exactly?

- I don't have visuals of this place with the GPS.

- So?

- Only the government can censor satellite views. – He explained. – Which means this place belongs to a government agency.

- And I think I know which one.

Tucker looked at the same spot on the tail of the helicopter that Sam was looking at. In black letters, the acronym of the dependency was written.

- Guys in White.

- We have to tell Danny.

They surrounded the helicopter and Danny landed in front of them after putting out the fire.

- Dude, you gotta be careful.

- These facilities belong to the GiW.

- That doesn't matter now. – Danny replied. – We need to search for survivors.

- But Danny…

- Guys. We are their only option to get out of there alive.

Sam and Tucker looked at each other and had no choice but to follow their friend. Taking advantage of the fact that he was in front of them, they both put on their ghost deflector and their laser bracelet. If Dan was responsible for it all, such equipment wouldn't be of much use, but at least they would try. They entered through the main entrance and walked through the hallway. When they ran into a door, one of them started talking, looking for any sign of life before opening the door.

- If we split up, we'll cover more ground. - Danny said.

- No way! - Sam exclaimed.

- Hell no, brother! I've seen that film. – Tucker claimed.

Danny sighed and created a duplicate.

- I will go to the right and he will accompany you to the left.

Without waiting for a response from them, the original Danny flew off.

- When we get out of this, you'll be in big trouble. – Sam threatened her boyfriend's duplicate.

The duplicate went ahead of them in case of any attack, while Sam covered the left flank and Tucker the right. They ran into a door and Tucker called out in case anyone answered. Not receiving any response, Sam opened the door and they both entered while the clone stayed at the door to keep an eye.

The interior of that room was completely destroyed. Part of the roof had collapsed, letting in plenty of sunlight, allowing them to clearly inspect what appeared to have been a laboratory. The things and furniture near the door had survived the blast, but the closer they got to the opposite corner, the less they could find.

- It smells funny in here. - Sam whispered.

- Well… those seem to be photoreactors. – He said pointing to the remains of a tubular glass machine. - Whatever they contained was probably vaporized in the explosion.

Sam lowered her wrist that she was aiming with and turned around.

- It is empty here. Let's go back.

Tucker just nodded and followed suit. When he took a step towards the exit, a strange feeling ran through his entire body. He blinked for a few seconds and looked around him.

- Something's wrong? - Sam asked.

- Don't know. - He said looking around the place. – It's like… I've been here before.

- Déjà vu?

- It's probably the smell. - He said raising his glasses to rub his eyes. - Let's go with Danny.

They left the lab and, with the duplicate, they walked in the direction that the original Danny had taken. On their way, they came across many open doors, but they were all empty. They turned left into the hallway and noticed Danny floating at the end of it. The duplicate flew towards him and was assimilated by the original, but still did not move.

- Danny, what's going on? - Sam tried to get closer to him, but Danny turned and held out his hand to stop her.

Sam stopped when he saw the panic in Danny's green eyes and quickly understood why.

- Is… is that a corpse? - Tucker's voice trembled as he uttered the words.

Half of a person's body was peeking out of the door that led into the room. White parts of the deceased operative's suit could still be seen, but most of his clothing and skin were covered in blood or burned. Tucker turned around to fight against the urge to vomit that invaded him at the moment he observed that scene, while Sam walked to where Danny was.

When she got to him, her throat closed as she looked into that room. Dozens of bodies were piled up near the entrance, and only God knows how many more there really were, since the high degree of charring present at the back of the room was an indication that the explosion had originated there. With trembling hands, she removed her ghost deflector and took Danny's arm. Pulling him back was easy since he was floating.

- Danny, let's go… - She whispered.

- They're all dead… - He answered in shock.

- Danny...

- He did this, Sam...

The sound of Tucker vomiting and sirens in the distance snapped him out of him trance. Tucker straightened up and spoke to them without turning to see them.

- Guys, we have to get out of here if we don't want to get blamed for this.

Tucker spat on the floor, trying to get the bad taste out of his mouth after he had thrown up.

- Tuck's right. – Sam took the boy's face in his hands. - We have to go. Now.

Danny saw the fear on Sam's face and it was all he needed to convince himself.

- Y-you're right...

He grabbed Sam around the waist and flew over to Tucker, who held out his hand for him to wait. Meanwhile, he used his other hand to remove the deflector from him and signaled for him to take him now. The sounds of the sirens intensified and they flew out of there, intangible and invisible.

From the heights they observed the fire fighters, police and ambulances arriving at the perimeter fence of the facilities, where the firefighters had to crash their truck to open the access, since there was no one to do it for them from inside.

Danny landed in a small playground that he found entering Amity Park, following the road that led to the destroyed Guys in White facility. Tucker quickly ran towards a tree with the growing feeling of wanting to throw up again. After a few seconds where he didn't expel bile, he straightened up and looked at his friends: Sam had her right hand over her mouth and her left arm crossed under her bust. She probably didn't even know she was crying. And Danny…he was a mess. He was spinning in circles with both hands behind his head as he muttered things they couldn't understand.

After their brief conversation in the morning, Tucker understood very well his best friend's reaction. Danny had been right all along: Dan wasn't going to give them time.

- Guys…

The couple turned to face Tucker, who looked back at them with concern in his eyes.

- Now what? – The doubt in his voice was obvious.

Danny and Sam looked at each other, hoping to find in each other what Tucker was asking for: some hope.

The dark cloud Tucker had seen earlier that morning had inched up until it was right in the heart of Amity Park. Little sunlight made it through, but more dark clouds began to appear in the sky. The dark gray of the clouds was the perfect contrast Dan needed to draw the attention of the entire city, with a huge burst of green that lit up the entire sky and made the townsfolk look in his direction.

- Now… I just have to wait.
