Washington
The city of Washington was such a peaceful city thanks to the efforts of Wonder Woman and her protege Wonder Boy. But that peace was soon to be interrupted. The cops arrived along with Wonder Woman and Wonder Boy to see the Cheetah on a rampage across the streets.
"Cheetah? I thought she was imprisoned?" Wonder Boy questioned.
"It seems it didn't last." Wonder Woman answered.
"We should stop her." Wonder Boy supposed. "Seriously does she never learn that these fights only go one way?"
"Trevor, she is still a formidable adversary, do not underestimate her." Wonder Woman advised.
"I won't just saying." Wonder Boy said.
"Very well, let's go." Wonder Woman flew down with Wonder Boy following after.
"Cheetah! Stop this now and we will show mercy!" Wonder Woman warned.
"Wonder Woman as always, ready for another round?" Cheetah flipped out her claws. "I see you've brought your sidekick, this'll be perfect." Cheetah purred.
"Last chance Cheetah, stand down or we're gonna put you in a world of hurt." Wonder Boy warned, popping his knuckles.
Cheetah responded with a smile and then let out a roar charging at the two.
She pounced toward the two and they followed with dodging her attack. Wonder Woman pulled out her lasso, while Wonder Boy was keeping Cheetah distracted.
Cheetah then sliced Wonder Boy's chest.
Wonder Boy looked down seeing the claw marks on his suit. "Are you kidding me I just got this suit recently?!"
"Oh sorry Wonder Boy, how about I claw out your face!" Cheetah smiled sadistically. She then pounced on Wonder Boy Unleashing a flurry of claw attacks but he raise his bracers blocking the brunt of her attacks.
The distraction gave Wonder Woman the time needed to restrain Cheetah with her Lasso. She then spun around then slammed her into a wall knocking her out.
With the fight ended Wonder Boy got up.
"Well… That was fun." Wonder Boy said, clutching the claw marks on his arm.
"Are you ok?" Wonder Woman asked.
Wonder Boy nodded. "Yeah, she didn't scratch that deep." Double checking the damages, "Nothing a little suit repair can't fix.
Wonder Woman smiled, and looked at the incoming cops, "C'mon we better go." The two flew out.
Landing on the roof of a nearby building the two stopped to take a rest. It always made Trevor feel good to put a stop to the villain's evil plans, "You're getting better, Trevor."
"Thanks. I better get home I have some homework to do."
With that, Trevor flew back home.
In Trevor's room he was doing his homework which was easy, it was Spanish, and given amazons ability to interpret any human language this was as easy as breathing.
Trevor was almost done but before he could finish Diana came in. "Trevor pack a bad we're going on a trip."
"We're going on another vacation? Seriously" Trevor questioned, rather surprised.
"Yes. We're going to Themyscira, you're grandmother has summoned you."
"What about School?" Trevor asked.
"I called your school to let them know you won't be in for a day a day or two for personal reasons." Diana said.
"What about Dad, is he coming?" Trevor asked.
Diana shook her head. "No he preferred to go to work, last time he was there my mother punched him in the face."
"Was that when… When, you know?" Trevor hesitated to ask.
Diana grabbed a seat and sat down in front of her son. "Yes, I admit that was really petty of her but understand that Amazon's hatred of men runs deep, we've changed that but hatred tends to linger. Still, your birth has brought more good than I ever hoped. When I was last there many of my sisters left the island in search of families, children, adventure, and a new purpose."
"That was when you made my armor right?" Trevor asked.
Diana nodded.
"That's great! I can't wait to see my… Aunts?" Trevor asked, wondering if that was the correct term. "I haven't been to Themyscira since I was a little kid."
Just then the doorbell rang. "Hmm, who could that be?"
Trevor walked over to the door and opened it to see Kara Zor El, dressed in her civilian attire. "Kara! What are you doing here?"
Kara hugged Trevor and said. "I wanted to see if you wanted to hang out, like getting an ice cream or going to an arcade."
"Oh amn that sounds fun but I can't, me and my mom are going to Themyscira." Trevor explained.
"Themyscira?! Can I come with?" Kara asked.
"I uh…" Trevor turned to her mom, "Can she?"
"No, outsiders aren't welcome, save for a few."
"I think Grandma will make an exception for her only grandson. I mean she is a girl too." Trevor pointed out.
Seeing as how Trevor was gonna be insistent on this Diana relented with a groan. "Very well then, come along."
"Yes!" Kara and Trevor cheered.
The next thing he knew Trevor and Kara were in the backseat of Diana's invisible Jet dressed in their superhero attire. The Invisible Jet was built by the Justice League for Diana, it used to be an old WWll jet but it was improved with various modifications to make it more versatile. This thing was probably as fast as Superman.
"How far are we from Themyscira?" Kara asked eager to arrive.
"Not much longer now." Diana called while piloting the aircraft.
"Wow this is so cool! I had no idea you were a pilot Ms. Trevor." Kara looked out the window.
"Call me Diana and I learned how to fly a plane back in World War Two." She explained.
"Wow!" Kara was impressed. "I remember hearing that name back in our history books."
"Yeah, it was a pretty bloody war." Trevor commented.
"I question teaching that to kids, especially you." Diana said keeping her eyes peeled on the controls.
Trevor rolled his eyes. "Mom, I can handle it I've been through worse stuff, fighting monsters, taking on evil supervillains, and groups. I know this is kinda stupid to say but I'm eager for a fight in which I can prove you I'm ready."
"Trevor it's not wise to go wishing for conflict because it doesn't end in our favor. It's not our way, Amazon's are to temper aggression, not enable it." Diana warned.
"I know I just wanna prove I'm ready to join the Justice League." Trevor said.
"Trevor I have no doubt you would one day prove a formidable member of the Justice League, but right now I want you to play it safe. I can't bear the thought of you getting injured or worse your my first and only son."
Trevor sighed. "I know I just think I'm ready for more."
"Trevor, don't go looking for a fight, I kinda like our covert missions." Kara tried to keep Trevor calm.
"As do I. I'm sorry." Trevor apologized.
"Trevor it's fine, all children tend to be like this at one point in their lives I was like it and I've seen this same behavior in your team. That one who trained with Oliver Queen?"
"Right, Roy." Trevor calmed down more as he realized what he was talking about.
"Everyone has a desire to prove themselves in some way in fact you're father said the same thing. When we first started dating he tried to prove to me he was worthy of my love when he didn't need to. He earned my love with his compassion and selflessness, the only thing I hated was his terrible pick-up lines, but men what can you do." Diana explained.
The last part made Trevor and Kara giggle, "Are you serious?" Trevor asked.
"I'm serious your father's pickup lines are terrible." Diana started to giggle at the memories. "Your father is a good man but terrible with words."
Trevor and Kara burst out laughing. "What were some?"
"I'll tell you when you're older… What do you know we're here." Trevor and Kara looked out the window to see Themyscira home of the Amazons in sight.
Diana landed the plane in front of the great Palace. A band of Amazon warriors lined up spears in hand with Queen Hippolyta in the lead.
The first Hippolyta saw exit the plane was Trevor, he jumped straight out of the plane and flew straight to her wrapping his arms tightly around her. "Grandmother, it's been so long I've missed you." Trevor said hugging her tightly.
Hippolyta gladly returned the hug. "Ah, it's good to see you again Trevor."
"It's been years Grandmother, I have so much to tell you." Trevor then proceeded to list out everything he's accomplished in a quick tone much to the confusion of Hippolyta and her fellow Amazons.
"Well… it seems like you've been busy, and apologies if I may ask but who is this?" Hippolyta looked at Kara.
Trevor then went to Kara grabbed her arm and brought her over to Hippolyta. "Yeah Grandmother meet Kara Zor El, she's a Kryptonian she's also my best friend."
"Is that so? Funny, your mother didn't talk about her last time she was her." Hippolyta looked at Diana with that smug smile. The other Amazons looked at her, rendering the rest of the moment embarrassing for Diana.
"Why don't you show your friend around the city."
Just then Hippolyta right hand Philippus stepped up. "My queen I question bringing the boy to our island he's not even a true Amazon."
"I'm sorry what?" Trevor question. "Have you forgotten that Themyscira has reopened the line of communication between humanity and new generations of Amazons are being brought into a world."
"It's a mistake we were just fine being closed off from the world we lived lives of peace and beauty now everything is changing because of your mother and her dreams of a bright future for our race of warriors." Like many Amazons Philippus still held onto her hatred of man given that they tortured and enslaved them thousands of years ago.
Diana then walked up to Phillipus. "I understand your hatred of Man Phillippus but Man's world has changed and we must too."
"I refuse to change, you are trying to make us human, you have become human you and the abomination you call a son." Phillippus insulted.
Hippolyta has heard enough she grabbed Philippus by the neck. "Philippus, you speak to my Grandson watch your tongue, you are one of our best but that doesn't mean I won't punish you for your insolence." Hippolyta warned.
Phillipus relented. "Of course my queen." Phillipus left the vicinity in silent dread.
"Sorry for Phillipus, Trevor. She's just stuck in our old ways. It's not just her though many of our sisters are stuck in our old ways. Hate is a hard thing to let go of." Hippolyta explained.
"She wasn't very nice. Isn't Trevor an Amazon?" Kara asked.
"To some of us yes, but to others she still bears the stench of Man's world and doesn't consider him one of us." Hippolyta explained.
"I'm afraid this hatred will never completely fade, what mankind did all those years ago was unforgivable." Diana said.
Trevor went to Diana and held her hand. She looked over at him and smiled. Hippolyta quickly read the mood and an idea came into her mind. "Trevor, come with me there's something I must show you."
"Okay, lead on."
Hippolyta looked at their new guest, "And Kara please join us. You're a friend of my grandson, we'd be honored to have you with us."
"Cool." Kara followed along.
As Kara walked through the Amazon's City she had to admit this was beautiful. "Your city is very beautiful Hippolyta."
"Well thank you, curious of your world. Apologies for its loss, but I never heard much of it." Hippolyta said.
"Thanks." Kara responded.
"So where are we going?" Trevor asked.
"I'm not going to tell you, it's a surprise." Hippolyta said then decided to make conversation. "I noticed I didn't see your father, did he not want to come?"
"Um…not really last time he was here you punched him in the face for the news that your daughter was pregant." Trevor explained.
Kara giggled at that scenario, but Trevor lightly punched her shoulder, "It isn't funny Kara."
"Sorry." Kara calmed herself.
"OK, I admit that wasn't the appropriate response but I was surprised, to say the least." Hippolyta explained herself.
"Still, gives you no right to punch him." Trevor argued.
"I know. Anyway, what you're about to see is a great blessing." Hippolyta lead the young heroes to a building neither of them recognized. Trevor looked at it closely it appears to have been built recently and he heard laughter inside.
"Are those children laughing?" Trevor asked.
Hippolyta nodded. "Go inside and see for yourself."
With that Trevor walked in with Kara behind him and once inside Trevor couldn't believe what he was seeing. Inside were children actual Amazon children. They were playing, swinging sticks, learning from other Amazons, even gathering resources.
"Wow, this is…AMAZING!" Trevor cheered.
"It truly is, and it's all because of you." Hippolyta praised, placing a hand on her grandson's shoulder. "I never thought I would see this a new generation of Amazon warriors brought into this world through love instead of unholy union."
Hippolyta then pointed to one of the Amazon children trevor looked to see the Amazon Persephone with an Amazon boy, who looks no less than eight years old, "Persephone, dear sister, c'mere." Hippolyta called the Amazon and her boy followed.
"My Queen." Persephone saluted with her fist over her heart, and head down.
"Persephone, care to introduce Trevor to your new member of the family?" Hippolyta asked.
Persephone brought her son close. "Diana, Trevor, this is my son Leonidas, but he prefers to be called Leo."
"Hello, Queen Hippolyta, Princess Diana, it's Trevor you prefer?" Leo asked if that's the right answer.
"That's right, Leo. I like this guy already." Trevor offered a high five, and Leo delivered. He looked around and saw many Amazon children. "How many are there?"
"Dozens." Hippolyta answered.
The answer made Trevor whistle. "Wow, so I have dozens of cousins now. Jeez, I have a big family."
"That you do my son." Diana said then kneeled down to kiss her son's head.
"Stop it. You're embarrassing me." Trevor playfully pushed his mother away.
Kara and Leo giggled under their breath.
Themyscira
Hours passed, Kara looked around the training grounds that comprised of women mostly. It seems some Amazon mothers were teaching their sons and daughters the art of Amazon combat, it was a sight to see.
One of the Amazons in the nearest ring stood tall and big amongst her peers. Kara walked over and saw that she was strong.
"Wow." Kara was in awe of the sight before her.
The Amazon Artemis took notice of the Kryptonian watching them train.
"So you're girl our Queen's grandson is fond of." The tall Amazon walked up to the young Kryptonian.
"I hear Kryptonians possess immense strength." Artemis asked with Kara looking up from above her stature. Artemis handed the Kryptonian a sword. "Let's see how your skill compares with your strength."
"Aren't you worried about hurting a kid?" Kara asked, rather nervously given how serious the woman is.
"I hear you're kind possess invulnerability under a yellow sun so I don't think hurting you is something I need to worry about." Artemis assured.
Feeling reassured Kara nodded and entered the training ring sword in hand. She got into a fighting stance but once she did Amazons chuckled. "What?!" Kara asked.
"That's a poor stance, with a stance like that your opponent can easily knock you over." An Amazon explained.
She was right, she had little experience with fighting with weapons even with her strength, and the sun down on her skin, her knee's started shaking.
"YOU GOT THIS KARA!" Trevor cheered.
Trevor's little cheer helped but she was still kinda nervous, given her immense strength and speed the last thing she wanted to do was seriously injure one of Trevor's aunts or have her aunt injure her (Which isn't likely). Nonetheless, Kara readied her sword and got into a better stance the two circled each other waiting for the other to strike first.
Kara took in a deep breath remembering something critical to Black Canary's training "Act, don't react." Kara said to herself.
With the knowledge of her training coming into focus in her mind, she opened her eyes and opened the first attack. She charged at Artemis and attempted to strike her, but Artemis dodge her attack with ease and delivered a kick directly to her face sending her spinning and falling to the end of the training ring.
"Ooh. That's had to hurt a little." Trevor commented.
Wasting no time Kara quickly picked herself up and took a breath keeping her adrenaline in check. She charged letting out a war cry. She charged for Artemis, and she easily parried her charge expecting her to crash to the ground, but Supergirl planted her left foot in the ground, and spun to strike her from behind.
Artemis blocked the attack but smiled, "Not bad seems you have some skill." Artemis said, praising the young Kryptonian. "Let's see what you can really do. Don't hold back this time."
"Um… Are you sure, I might hurt you and I don't want that." Kara said.
"Do not worry young one, I have been training in the art of Combat for thousands of years, I'm sure I'll be fine." Artemis assured the Kryptonian girl.
"OK, if you insist." With that Kara floated up with the blade, and breaking it in two with her bare hands. throwing the pieces aside.
Kara then quickly flew towards Atremins preparing a punch, but Artemis responding quickly dodge her punch by just a centimeter. "Not bad almost got me there."
Kara unleashed a flurry of punches only for Artemis to dodge them all
Artemis was dodging and deflecting every punch the girl throws at her, but in the heat of the fight, she could see her eyes glowing pure red.
"RAHHHHHH!" Kara screamed in frustration then out of nowhere Kara's eyes started glowing red. Trevor quickly reacted knowing what that meant, he quickly flew into the arena and pushed Artemis out of the way. Kara than unwittingly released her heat vision directly at Trevor, but he quickly raised his bracers up to protect himself from what was coming.
Kara's eyes released the full crimson glow of her heat vision hitting Trevor directly at his bracers. The pressure from Kara's crimson gaze gave Trevor some push backwards, but he kept his stance firm, "Kara! Stop!" Trevor tried reaching to Kara.
"I'm trying!" Kara yelled she tried to stop but she couldn't stop the heat vision. The immense heat started burning into Trevor's skin, making him grunt in pain. Diana couldn't so anything but watch in surprise as the event took place. The heat was intensifying that trevor could feel his skin burning then his bracers exploded from the intense heat sending Trevor back a few feet.
Kara then decided to stop this the hard way he brought her hand up to her eyes, blocking the beams with her own two hands. Finally, the beams stopped and Kara sighed in relief but that relief turned to horror when she saw what laid in front of her. Trevor laying unconscious on the ground, until the realization of the last minute, "Trevor!" Kara ran over to him but was stopped by an Amazon guard.
"Stay back. Let the healers tend to him." The guard said, blocking her path.
Diana, Hippolyta and a few healers ran over to tend to him. Kara could do nothing just stare as the healers carried Trevor away. She wanted to do something but what could she do she just hurt her best friend. Kara then flew away in shame.
Infirmary
"How is he?" Hippolyta asked.
"He's lucky the bracers protected him from the Kryptonian's heat vision but he still has serious burns on his arms." One of the healers observed. "We put ointments on the burns and bandaged them up, given he heals faster than us he should be just fine."
Hearing that was a relief to all of the Amazons in the room.
"Where did Kara go, has anyone seen her?" Hippolyta asked.
"She flew away when she hurt Trevor." another healer said.
"I need to find her." Diana said.
"Agreed." Everyone looked to see Trevor sitting up from the bed, "I don't what she did, but not everyone else will take this lightly."
Trevor attempted to stand up but when he did he clutched both his arms as they burned in pain. "AHHH!"
"We'll find her Trevor you rest, those burns need time to heal." Hippolyta told her grandson.
"Please don't be mad at her, grandmother." Trevor asked. "It's not entirely her fault."
On the other side of the island, Kara curled up into a fetal position staring at the ocean ridden with guilt after stunt she pulled.
This was supposed to be a fun trip to paradise island instead she injured Trevor because of her inability to control her powers. The worst of it is, she did it in Trevor's home around his family.
From behind, she could hear them easy but she didn't care, she's too deep in sulking to move.
"It's okay, Kara." Diana arrived and placed a blanket over her, "Trevor's going to be fine."
"It's not okay I hurt Trevor becuae I cant control my powers. You know Batman didn't want me on the Team because he said I was dangerous, he was right."
"Connor, Kal, and Trevor would disagree. And so would I." Diana patted her back.
"Heck yeah I disagree." Trevor said.
Both Kara and Diana looked to see Trevor away from the healers, "Son, you should be with the Healers?"
"And leave my friend on her own like this?" Heck no?"
"You are either incredibly stubborn or just incredibly stupid." Diana said.
Trevor notices his mother's lasso of truth. He takes it and wraps it around his wrist, "I take care of my friends, whether they're hurt on the inside or outside. I like to think I got that stubbornness from dad." Trevor removed the lasso, "There's your answer."
Diana was both mad and impressed that her son just said that, and with her lasso to confirm it.
"I don't blame you Kara, it was an accident." Trevor said placing a hand on Kara's shoulder despite how bad it hurt.
Kara started sobbing, and given the situation, Diana decided to give them some space. Kara then wrapped her arms around Trevor crying into his shoulder. Trevor did nothing he just let her cry herself out, keeping her close.
Seeing as how this was gonna take a while Diana sat down and decided to meditate as her son comforted his friend.
Diana opened her eyes to see the moon shining over the sky, "That long?" Diana asked herself.
Making her way over to her son, she found them in the same place, "She's asleep." Trevor whispered, keeping her close.
"I can see that." Diana took a seat beside them.
"You should get back to the infirmary, you need to heal. I'll take her back to my old room." Diana said taking the sleeping Kara from Trevors burned arms.
"Thanks my arms are killing me."
"Get back the infirmary now." Diana repeated.
Trevor was a little hesitant to let her go, he definitely needs to go back to the infirmary, "Whats wrong son?" Diana asked.
"She'll be okay right?" Trevor shook to his words a little, "After that stunt with Artemis, and that Phillips woman. Don't let anyone near her. I'm afraid some of my aunts will use this to-"
Trevor's mother stopped her son from rambling, "She's strong Trevor do not worry for her, and do not worry about the Amazons either my mother and I will take care of that. For now you should worry about yourself and your injuries. Now. Get. Back. To. The. Infirmary."
Trevor nodded. "Alright."
With that Wonder Woman flew up into the sky with Kara over her back while Trevor flew back to the Infirmary. Once there Trevor laid down on one of the cots and waited for the sweet embrace of sleep to take over.
Amazon Kids Boarding Home
"How can you all stand with yourselves knowing you've all defiled yourselves with the taint of man?" Philippus asked the mothers.
Persephone, angered by Philippus's words, got up and confronted her. "What would you know? I'm happier now than I've ever been. All of us are."
Many of the Amazons nodded in agreement with Persephone's words.
"We had a good life our lives were peaceful when we cut ourselves off from Man's world. We had everything we could ever want." Philippus stated.
"You are right, we lived in Paradise but what's the point if we couldn't share that? Hippolyta got to share paradise with her daughter, but none of us could. None of us could experience the same joy Hippolyta felt when she raised her daughter. I wished to have a child of my own for a thousand years but I couldn't and when Diana gave birth to a child I decided to leave so I could have my own." Persephone explained her pain.
"And you returned home with a beautiful son." Diana added, "I remember others followed your example, and here we are now."
"How is your son Diana?" Persephone asked. "I hear he was injured by the Kryptonian."
"My son is fine and don't blame the Kryptonian, it was not her fault."
"Then clearly your judgment as an Amazon has been waning because what happened today was proof. We are forgetting why we left behind the world of man, they enslaved us."
"These are not the same men, those men are long dead." Diana stated.
"All men are the same. One way or another they will find their way to shackle us." Philippus opposed.
The loud arguing was starting to upset the children, the words carried a heavy burden on their thoughts.
"Our children are good." Persephone argued. "Now please stop this it's upsetting them. They don't need this."
"Agreed. And we will not keep discussing this now leave!" Diana argued pointing to the entrance.
Philippus nodded in reluctance.
The morning had come and the three were preparing to leave. Diana planned on staying longer but with what happened it was best to go home, "Alright, ready to go?" Diana asked the two.
"Yeah, we shouldn't stay too long. I haven't heard from the team." Trevor noted.
Kara remained quiet given the humiliation the other day.
"Kara?" Diana tried to get her attention, "Kara it's okay."
"No it isn't I hurt Trevor, and I'm pretty sure the others will be asking questions and then they'll start thinking I'm dangerous." Kara was still shaken.
Neither Trevor nor Diana couldn't get through to her, so they gave her some space while they pack the jet.
With the final touches prepped, Queen Hippolyta arrived with a few things, "Wait before you go, you'll need this." Hippolyta gave her grandson a heavy-looking gauntlet.
"It's heavy." Trevor said as he took the gauntlet. He possessed super strength but whatever this thing was made out of made it heavy even for Trevor. "What exactly is it?"
"A retractable shield. We were gonna give this to you when you were of age but after yesterday. I think you'll need it sooner rather than later." Hippolyta said and looked at Kara, still a little down from the incident, "And for you Kara." She gave her a small necklace with a plain gem and yet when she held it she felt more calm in her power.
Hippolyta then kneeled down to Kara placing a hand on her shoulder. "I know you never would intentionally hurt my grandson, he thinks the world of you. I just wish my daughter told me about you when she was last here."
"Thank you for being so understanding, I swear to you it was an accident." Kara swore.
"I know, you're always welcome here." Hippolyta gave Kara a hug.
"Come on Kara buddy, I'm sure the team is missing us as we speak. I haven't heard from them all day." Trevor yelled.
"Coming!" Kara ran over to Trevor.
As soon as both kids were in the Invisible Jet Diana took off leaving Themyscira.
Mount Justice
"Recognized Wonder Boy B-0-5, Supergirl B-0-7."
Both flew through the Zeta tube and landed at the entrance of the cave.
"Themyscira was so beautiful I hope we can go again soon." Kara smiled.
"Thanks, but for now we should see if Batman has any missions for-" Before Wonder Boy could finish that sentence both heard an explosion. "What the heck was that?!"
"Wonder Boy, Supergirl, get to the vehicle hangar, the facility is compromised." Red Tornado called on their comms.
Not being needed to be told twice Wonder Boy and Supergirl raced over to the vehicle hanger per Red Tornado's orders. On their way down the halls, they were met with Artemis in the trophy room, "Trevor, Kara inside!" Artemis directed the two.
Trevor and Kara entered the vents then Trevor asked. "What is going on here?"
"The base is overrun with robots. The same model as Red Tornado." Artemis explained.
"Where is everyone?" Supergirl asked.
"Captured. They just got Robin, but I have an idea." Artemis nodded, "But I need you guys to follow my lead, please."
"Okay, you got an idea we'll go with it." Supergirl agreed to the idea, whatever it is.
"Alright, what's the plan?" Trevor asked.
"It's simple-" Artemis explained, and given the odds, the two went with the plan.
"I'm afraid I won't be of much use my arms are useless for the time being." Trevor said showing Artemis his bandaged arms.
"What happened to them?" Artemis asked.
"Training accident." Wonder Boy quickly answered.
"Okay. We'll worry about it later, let's go save our team." Artemis pushed the injuries aside, they have bigger problems right now.
Artemis, Supergirl, and Wonder Boy arrived to meet the two robots that invaded the base, "We surrender! Stop the clock."
Aqualad and M'gann were trapped in a cage made from actual fire. The two aren't doing good, but Aqualad was strong enough to turn his back over to see what was going on.
Artemis turned to see Robin unconscious and drenched in water. Supergirl could hear Kid Flash and his cousin Connor being drowned.
Trevor kept his breathing in check and went with the plan. The three of them stepped towards the two robots as the tall one held his hand out for their gear.
Artemis smiled, she used the moment to jump over the robot. Smacking it in the face with her knee and she smacked the other hand. Supergirl and Wonder Boy restrained the two robots while Artemis shot her last arrow. The arrow made its mark and shortly after a heavy emp blast fried the two robots causing them to fall to the ground.
The cage of fire withered away and the water stopped rising.
"Kaldur, Kara, how's M'gann?" Connor shouted from below.
"She breathes, I believe she will recover. What of Robin?" Kaldur looked over and saw Artemis running over to Robin.
Artemis looked close and found Robin coughing up water, "He- He's breathing."
"Way to get Trot." Robin looked over to Artemis and smiled.
"So what did we miss?" Kara asked while he was breaking Wally and Conner out of their melded restraint.
"Siblings of Red Tornado invaded the cave." Kid Flash explained. "And where were you two, things would have been a lot different if you were here!"
"Oh you care about us that much?" Trevor sarcastically replied.
"We were in Themyscira." Supergirl explained.
"So you two decided to go on a vacation, while you leaving your team out of the blue?" Wally pointed his finger at Trevor's chest.
Trevor slapped Wally's hand out of his chest. "Wally we're sorry, we didn't know this would happen."
"We were all about to die because you weren't here!" Wally was about to go overboard but Kaldur worked up the strength to hold him back.
"Wally that's enough!" Kaldur ordered.
"Better question, how did they find us?" Robin asked.
"Team, what has occured?" From above at the entrance, Red Tornado was found hovering over to them.
"Well we had a little visit from your family." Robin answered simply.
"You're extremely nasty family." Artemis added.
"I was not aware I had relations." Red Tornado answered.
"So where've you been?" Conner asked.
"Monitor duty on the watch tower." Red Tornado walked over to the other androids, "When it became clear cave communications were down. I attempted to investigate, but your zeta tubes were also nonfunctional. I transported to Providence and proceeded here." Red Tornado knelt to analyze the two.
Just above the Sphere started moving and beeping back up, "Hey boy." Connor smiled with M'gann holding close.
"Wait if the Sphere is awake?" Trevor connected the dots.
"THE PULSE HAS WORN OFF!" Robin and Wally said together.
Red Tornado attempted to touch one of the androids, but a faint spark sent a reboot to his system. His eyes started to glow red and he lifted himself with his tornados. He emitted more tornados from his arms and started sulking away all the oxygen from the room.
"Can't breathe!" Trevor held his neck.
He saw Kara suffering the same, and he tried to make his way to her. Everyone's dropping unconscious from the lack of air.
Kara was barely able to keep awake but she could see Trevor. She tried to make her way to him, but by the time they were close they lost consciousness.
"Kara. Kara, can you hear me?" Kara's sight was blurry but she can tell she's not dead. As her vision became more clear she found herself before her cousin Clark.
"Kal?" Kara quickly shot up from the ground.
"Its okay." Clark helped Kara get on her feet.
The League arrived and are now helping the team back on their feet.
"Where's Red Tornado?" Trevor asked with Wonder Woman helping.
"He's gone, and so are the other two." Robin said rather grimly.
"Before we go any further, what's the status on Michael?" Batman asked.
"I put the medical wing into lockdown when the attack began so he's fine." Kid Flash explained.
"Good." Batman replied.
"What are we gonna do?" Wonder Boy asked getting anxious on what those two androids did to Red Tornado.
"Fortunately, Wonderboy Red Tornado is a member of the League therefore catching him is a League priority. For now the rest of you go patch up the base, and make sure there's no other trace of those two androids." Batman ordered.
For the next few hours, the team rebuilt their base from the ground up. As they were working, Batman noticed Trevor's bandages. Those weren't just regular burns those were from heat vision, "Wonder Boy, where did you get those burns?" Batman asked.
Wonder Boy walked over to him with a nervous expression. "Umm… I-I got them in a training accident." He answered nervously, blending lies with truth.
"What training accident?" Batman asked.
"It was my fault, I wasn't careful and I paid the price." Wonder Boy lied.
"Wonder Boy, you're lying, now tell me the truth." Batman can see right through him.
"I… I." Trevor couldn't confess, it'd be like leaving Kara to the wolves. Or in this case, the bats "I won't tell you."
"Wonder Boy not telling me means you're putting the team at risk. So you either will tell me the truth or you will be suspended from duty." Batman warned.
Supergirl couldn't stand to listen to this anymore, the last thing she wanted was for Trevor to suffer because of her. "Batman it was me. I burnt his hands, sir. We were at Themyscira and… I lost control. I'm sorry."
Batman narrowed his eyes at Supergirl and said. "We will discuss this later but for now, Wonder Boy, get to the medical bay and rest up then go home."
"Yes sir." Trevor looked down.
Trevor left the room without looking back, Kara wanted to give him assurance that everything will be okay but Batman's glare.
I'm sorry I did the best I could with this chapter, it was such a hassle to write but rest assured I will be improving all chapters when I finish the first season.
I would also like to give a shoutout to Dr. Arachangel for helping me write this chapter.
