Authors note: For the review talking about the logic of being a doctor, I realize. It's fan fiction, not everything has to be based on facts. I was kind of going off if she didn't do anything besides focus on this, making a lot of the time go away. Also if I did do the 10 year thing she'd have the oldest physical age out of all of them and that doesn't work on my story. So yeah not factual just convenient for my story.

Bella pov

After we got home Esme was waiting at the door for us. She pulled me into a tight squeeze and whispered I am so sorry into my ear. I know it's not either of their fault. Honestly knowing I could've just been dead I know this is the better option.

We walked in as I sat on the couch. Their eyes were both filled with guilt. They both just stared at me for like five minutes even though it felt like hours. Esme finally spoke up.

"I called Alice, Jasper, Emmet, and Rosalie. They will all be here by the time you wake up. I assumed you didn't want Edward here but if you want me to I can't call him as well"

I shook my head. I really didn't need to be reminded of heartbreak. It was already going to be a difficult time a assume.

"They all said they probably can only stay a week. They all want to help you through. Before you ask yes even Rose" She smiles awkwardly after she said that last part

It's like she's happy that it's happening but doesn't want to admit it. I mean I understand, she was more of a mother than my own. I missed her too and to her this must be the acknowledgment that I will not fade away.

After I smiled back at her she left the room. At that moment I know my last minutes of my life were near. Edward always saw vampires as soulless creatures, so maybe I'm about to get my soul ripped out. All I know is that I felt the pain before for only a handful of minutes and now I was about to feel it for three straight days.

Carlisle pov

"I can try to give you some morphine for the pain but it probably won't last an hour."

"I'll be fine without it"

"Is there anything you want to ask beforehand"

"No just get this over with"

At that moment I repositioned her body in a laying position. I kneeled down next to her and brushed her hair to one side of her neck. I could sense her fear when her last few moments were ticking. I let some venom pool inside my mouth before I leaned over her and bit her injecting the venom into her bloodstream.

Almost instantaneously she started to spasm as if she was having a seizure. Now all we had to do was wait.

Bella pov

My veins started burning, it felt like I was on fire. I saw Carlisle lifted up from my neck he whispered I'll be right here. After that, everything went black.

It felt like fire was flowing in my veins followed by ice. My heart raced. Then flashes of my life came into my head. Some of which I didn't know existed. From my baby days, have all these memories always there locked away? My parents really did love each other at first, didn't they?

It made me wonder how Carlisle and Esme have been together for nearly a century when they couldn't even make it a year after they had me. Would I ever find someone that would stay with me for that long?

The burning feeling finally started to fade. I could feel my heartbeat slow down and the color drained from my skin. Then finally, my heart stopped and my eyes flew open.
