It was late in afternoon in DC, Liv was laying near the fireplace, in the living room, while reading some stuff for school. She still had a few days until she got back but she liked studying.
Her phone laid next to her as it lit up, looking over she seen a text from Fitz, she smiled and put her book down before picking up her phone and reading the message, she smiled more and blushed softly.
Fitz told her 'to wear something nice and he would pick her up at seven PM', she but her lip and replied with 'yes sir', she looked at the time, seeing it was only three PM, she had four hours to get ready.
She texted her dad, letting him know that 'she was going out with Fitz later tonight', Eli was at work so she wouldn't have any distractions while studying and now getting ready for her date with her lover.
Liv continues to study for another hour before she started getting ready, she looked at herself in the bathroom mirror and turned to the side, pulling up her shirt, she was now two-three weeks pregnant, her stomach was still flat but she couldn't wait until she started to show, she was excited to have a family with Fitz.
She smiled to herself and rubbed her stomach softly, she started to tear up, "Ugh!", she wiped her tears quickly and sniffled, "Get it together Liv.", she said to herself and shook her head.
She undressed herself and entered the shower, sighing happily as she felt the warm water on her bare body, she tried to avoid her hair while washing up since she washed it earlier this morning.
She stepped out the shower carefully and grabbed her towel, wrapping it around her petite body, she walked into her bedroom and dried herself off, grabbing the prettiest dress she had which was a black dress with gold splatters on the dress.
She put on a black bra and matching black thong, she sat down at her small vanity and started doing her makeup and hair, putting on some blush, mascara, eyeliner, natural eyeshadow, and lipstick, after she was done with makeup, she started her hair, putting some product in it before styling it, keeping it down and doing a side part.
She set her face with setting spray and put some jewelry on, keeping her mom's ring on, putting on some gold earrings and a gold necklace, she stood up and sprayed perfume on her neck and wrist, not spraying too much.
She put on her dress and looked at herself in the mirror making sure she looked good before pairing her dress with black heels, she grabbed a purse and put her makeup inside, in case it messed up, also putting her keys and phone in her purse.
She looked at herself one more time before heading downstairs with fifteen minutes to spare, she sat on the couch and scrolled through her phone, looking at women with their babies and husbands, she smiled happily, thinking about her and Fitz.
Liv turned her head as the front door opened, her father walking in from work, "Liv, I'm home!", she chuckled and stood up, walking to Eli, "Hi dad.", he looked at her and gasped, "Oh my god.", she blushed softly and smiled.
"You look so beautiful Liv.", he started tearing up, "Daddd.", she pouted a little, "Don't cry please, I don't want to ruin my makeup.", they chuckled, "I'm sorry dear.", he walked closer and hugged Liv tightly, "Your mother would be so proud.", she teared up and hugged her father tightly, "I love you dad.", "I love you more Olivia.".
They broke the hug and Liv carefully wiped her tears, good thing she was wearing waterproof mascara. They talked a little more about the baby and where Fitz was taking her but she has no idea.
Shortly after, the doorbell rang, meaning Fitz was finally here, Liv grew nervous as Eli stood up and walked to the door, opening it, letting Fitz walk in before closing the door.
Liv made sure she looked good one more time before standing up and making her way to the door, getting nervous but excited. The couple looked at each other, getting lost in each others eyes.
Fitz let out a breath and gulped a little, "You look... you look gorgeous.", she blushed hard and walked closer to him, "And you look very handsome.", she kissed his cheek and smiled.
He was earing a black suit with a white shirt and black tie, very simple but very hot.
"Oh, these are for you.", he smiled and handed Liv a bouquet of red and white roses, she gasped and smelled the flowers, "These are so pretty, thank you Fitz.", he smiled and kissed her cheek, "No problem Liv.".
"Let me go put these in water and then we can go.", she kissed his cheek before walking in the kitchen, putting the flowers in a vase with water.
Eli and Fitz talked about a few things until Liv came back, she said 'goodbye' to her father and kissed his cheek, grabbing her purse and walking out the house with Fitz. They got in his car, he helped Liv in before getting in himself.
They held hands while Fitz drove them to the restaurant, "So, where are we going?", Liv asked and looked at Fitz, he smiled, "It's a surprise.", she groaned, "Come onnn, pleaseee.", she pleaded, he chuckled and shook his head, loving this side of Liv.
"You'll see baby.", he said and kissed her head, she huffed and leaned her head on his shoulder.
The rest of the drive was quiet and soothing, exchanging kisses here and there before he pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant, she lifted her head and looked at the sigh, gasping, "This was my mom's favorite restaurant.", he looked at her, "I thought it would be a good idea to have our first date here. We can go somewhere else if you want.".
She shook her head and kissed him softly, "It's perfect.", they smiled at each other before Fitz got out and helped Liv out the car.
They held hands while entering the restaurant and being seated, sitting across from each other. Fitz pulled out Liv's chair, she sat down and 'thanked' him, he kissed her head and pushed her chair in before taking his seat.
They looked at the menu together while talking and smiling at each other all lovely dovely.
The couple soon ordered their drinks and food, Liv ordering water and shrimp alfredo, Fitz ordered a glass of scotch and steak with fries.
They held hands from across the table and talked about everything and nothing, enjoying each others company, laughing from jokes they made and smiling from the talks about the baby and their future, together.
The food came shortly after, they started eating while discussing the baby, "What about Fitzgerald Thomas Grant IV?", they chuckled, "I mean, it's a great name, it can be an option.", Fitz said while eating a fry, "Really?", he nodded, "Yeah, why not? Keep it running in the family.", she smiled and nodded.
"Okay, what about, Olivia Carolyn Pope Jr.?", they laughed, Liv shaking her head, "You're a mess Grant.", "Hey, to be fair, it's a cute name.", she chuckled and rolled her eyes.
"We still have a few months to decide baby.", he said while grabbing her hand again, "I know love, I'm just excited.", she smiled and squeezed his hand, he smiled back, "Me too.".
They soon finished their food and ordered a slice of chocolate cake to share, Fitz licked his lips after taking a bite of the cake, he stared at Liv as she took another bite.
He smiled at her even though she wasn't paying attention to him, "Hey Livvie?", "Hmm?", she finally looked up at him and smiled softly, he smiled and took her hand, "You know I love you, right?", she blushed and nodded, "I do, and I love you too Fitz.", he smiled and kissed her hand, "You're so important to me and so is this baby that we're going to have. I want nothing but to shower you with love. And I would be the luckiest man in the world to have you as my girlfriend, would you-?", he cut him off quickly, "Yes! Yes Fitz! I would love to be your girlfriend!".
She cried softly and smiled widely, he smiled and chuckled softly, "I love you Olivia Pope.", she stood up and sat in his lap, "I love you Fitz Grant.", she kissed him lovingly and positionality.
She pulled away and stroked his cheek gently, "My dad finally gave you approval, didn't he?", he chuckled and nodded, "He did,", she smiled and kissed him again.
They quickly finished their cake and Fitz paid the bill before they left the restaurant, he helped Liv in the car again and got in the drivers seat, holding hands again as Fitz drove Liv back home.
He soon parked in front of the house, Liv turned to him and kissed him one more time, "Thank you for today.", he smiled, "Only the best for my girls.", she raised her eyebrow, "You think it's a girl?", he nodded and rubbed her stomach, "Of course, a mini Olivia Pope.", she chuckled and smiled.
"I love you Fitz.", "I love you too Liv.", they gave each other one more kiss before Liv got out the car.
She walked to the door and entered the house, Fitz soon drove off once Liv closed the door behind her.
She leaned back, against the door, smiling widely and rubbing her stomach.
